i use this product for aerial arts to make my hands and feet sticky for better grip. it works great!

A common complaint of those who use Kinesio or KT products is that they don't stay on. My physical therapist used Tuf Skin on my ankle and the taping lasted 5-6 days while I played tennis every morning. Without it, one day is the max.

It says to let the spray dry completely, but I have found it to be more effective if you tape just before it dries out. Give yourself a few days off each week to let your skin has time to recover.

I use Tuf-skin as a substitute for Rosin for climbing Aerial Silks, Rope and Trapeze. In general, it works much better than Rosin, but it isn't perfect. It tends to be a bit too sticky at first, and will cause your hands and feet to squeak when doing certain moves. That being said, it really does help grip, and makes long holds much more bearable.

Prestige Medical 5-Pocket Organizer, White

This items is just what is pictured. It is not huge, but big enough to carry pens, scissors, pen light, sharpie, dry erase marker, etc... Fits well into my cargo pocket on scrub pants or the bottom front shirt pocket of my scrub top (un-tucked of course). Will it carry everything? No. But will it keep all of your pens, markers and such in a secure sleeve with no worries of open or un-caped pens marking all over your scrubs? Yes!!!

Way too small -definitely not adequate for anything a nurse needs to carry to bedside.

I will never use it. It does not fit easily on a belt to wear around your waist. I have decided I am returning it.

So this is a good tool if you just need to organize your top white coat pocket and keep things from falling out every time you lean over. I keep my reflex hammer, light, and pens in it, and this has helped.

Only downside is you have to shove it in the pocket, and it sticks up a little, but for many med students, this is the least of our issues. Looks exactly as pictured.

Nexcare Opticlude Orthopic Eye Patches, Junior Size - 20 count

I started out using the coverlet brand for my 4yr old who is the size of a 2yr old. They stuck really well but the junior size is not available in any store near us so I went to search online and found these Nexcare pads and decided to try them out. They do fit my daughter (ideal for 2yrs and under) and they do stay on for the most part; however, the coverlets stick MUCH better and I also found a new brand called ORTOPAD that is really cool with cool designs and sticks a little better than the Nexcare but still not as well as the Coverlets but is for sure nicer and in my opinion, a better deal for the price. The ortopad's come in boxes of 50 vrs 20 and have a varity of styles to choose from. Hope this helps someone.

I think the best patch really depends on who is using it. For my daughter, she is allergic to some forms and others stick so well that they pull skin off when we remove the patch. We have used this brand for 2 years and have had no problems. There are some with more interesting designs (i.e. artistic), but these work well, especially for small children.

Of course it depends on the child but for my five year old son the Nexcare patches were definitely not the best. The good news is that they do stick on very well, which is nice if you have an active child. The bad news is that they irritated my son's skin. I tried them myself and was only able to wear one for about 15 minutes. They left my skin itchy and red.

The Coverlet brand works better for us but we actually prefer the Ortopads, which are available online. Well worth a search to find them. If you are choosing between Nexcare and Coverlet, however, choose the latter. If you need something that sticks like glue and your child doesn't have sensitive skin try Nexcare but keep in mind that a lot of children seem to have a sensitivity to them.

This stuff is awesome. I use it in the morning, as part of my "beauty" treatment. It is super soft cream. Feels almost like putting whipped cream on your face. I love it. We are never without arnica in this house. I even carry pellets in my purse. Arnica is used for bruising, or any bruised feeling (such as after a way-too-intense workout). Grafco Stainless Steel Vienna Nasal Speculum

This is a pretty well made device for opening up small orifices in the body. Although specifically designed for the nose, it does work well on "other parts."

Obviously, I am not talking about medical uses, and this would be good item for the BDSM toy box if one is into medical or related play.

The speculum is well made, with smooth edges, no rough spots, and a nice finish. I don't know how well it will hold up over time, but it is a simple mechanism with very few parts.

I suppose it could also have some medical uses as well. As always, one should be very careful with items for insertion into the body, even in such a shallow manner. This should clean up easily and probably could be autoclaved.

This nasal speculum was exactly what I was looking for. It allows you to spread the nares of an individual/patient and inspect the septum, middle & inferior nasal concha & make sure each meatus is patent.

LifeSource UA-787EJ Quick Response Auto Inflate Blood Pressure Monitor with Easy-Fit Cuff, Pressure

I've had it for one day and it seems to be accurate. I calibrated the UA-787EJ against the manual setup (stethiscope, gauge and cuff) that I purchased last week and the readings are consistant. I read the first review that stated their disatisfaction b/c the readings were "high". I would recommend calibrating the unit yourself and if it is off, return it for another or a refund.

For the last week I've tested several monitors in the local stores (Omron, ReliOn, LifeSource) and I felt that all of them reported low BP readings. I even ordered one that was very eratic in its readings but was always 10 to 12 points lower than the readings taken w/a stethiscope (sometimes I used the BP machine at Wal-Mart, which seemed to be consistent). I returned it for a refund.

I work at a hospital, and a co-worker used the new UA-787EJ this morning, found that his blood pressure was very high, went down to ER and indeed it was extremely high. If you have doubts about the accuracy, I suggest purchasing the manual steth., gauge and cuff to do your own calibartion. It was the only way I could be confident the automatic unit was accurate and reliable. The manual setup only costs about $16.00 from Wal-Mart (maybe less from Amazon) and taking your BP is easy.

After doing extensive research on the web, I purchased this item to replace a current blood pressure monitor. While the Easy Fit cuff was easy to place, the B/P readings obtained for my wife and myself were much higher than those obtained on our previous B/P cuff as well as higher than blood pressures taken at the doctor's office. Since we had no confidence in the accuracy of the readings, I returned the B/P cuff to Amazon for a refund.

First, let me say that I use this monitor twice a day. I used to get very high readings until I followed the manual. I even took it to my doc to verify it was accurate. I learned to improve my readings by doing the following. I had to sit in front of my desk. Put my palm on the desk, face up. Make sure the white line on the armband was on the inside of my bicep and no talking. I take my reading 2-3 times per seating, with a 30-45 sec break between readings, to verify accuracy. Sounds like a lot...right. Not really. I've learned how to get accurate and consistent readings. I enter my best reading in iBP app for my IPhone. My doc was more than pleased to have so much information about my high blood pressure. This info helped him change my prescription to the proper med. I take less than 5 min twice a day to monitor my progress. I like this product. I would recommend it.

I am a 25 y/o male medical student in good health. knowing first-hand how important blood pressure is to one's overall health, i wanted to get a monitor so that i could accurately monitor my own pressures. so i bought this product becuase it got pretty good customer reviews and was also relatively inexpensive. however, i very quickly regretted my decision... this bp monitoring system gives dangerously inconsistent bp readings. there were times when i would get systolic readings as high as 160! because i eat healthy and run 4-5x per week, i was very skeptical of these readings, so i decided to bite the bullet and buy the more expensive "Lifesource UA-853ACP Premium Stand-Up Blood Pressure Monitor." i found the UA-853ACP to be a MUCH better system. it gives accurate, consistent results (my bp's are actually 120's over 70's).

So if i could give you one piece of advice, it would be to invest in the slightly more expensive UA-853ACP model, because it is definitely worth your money.

We ordered several gauge replacements for our increased need. The only problem we ran into was that the needles were not pointing at zero on them when delivered. We know a man that works on gauges and reset these. He fixed them at zero so we could properly read our blood pressures. Without this contact, we would have had to find someone or send them back. Other than that, there were no other problems with the devices. Shipping was pretty prompt and the gauges came as described.
