So forewarned is forearmed be careful with the supplier 5 stars to BP Medical 2 for Direct Care item of course is what it is as described

The pads came without a box, only 23 is in the shipment (2 missing), 1 has part of the pad protruding out of the package. No feedback from the company.

It's Gauze. If you're looking to buy this, you probably already know exactly what you're gonna get. 25 sterile 4x4 gauze packets. Pretty simple.

I will point out that mine did not come with a box like the picture shows. Since they were immediately divvied up amongst my various bags and FAKs, I could not care less about external packaging. Just something to take note of, in case this matters to you.

Items showed up unboxed and stuffed in a vanilla envelope.

My guess is these were stolen from a hospital and resold.

Doubt theyre very sterile now.

Some of them look like they were wadded up.

Amazon needs to pull this supplier from their network.

Having used this product for over a week now, I can say that they are the best gauze bandages I've found so far. They are softer and stronger compared to the Johnson & Johnson gauze available in most drugstores.

Amazon shipped the box in a bag clearly added after the fact, but it was well wrapped.

More importantly, now I know why they don't ship the product's own box still sealed. The box indicates a count of 50 bandages, but they sell them in lots of 25, so they remove the removable top half of the box, as visible in the product's picture, and take out half to fulfill the order. Since they advertised 25 for the order, and since the box was wrapped in plastic for shipment (otherwise the individual packets would fall out), I have no problem with this. I do wonder why they don't simply sell them in full packs of 50. The gauze are individually wrapped with the expiration date printed on each one (2017 in the case of my order).

It occurs to me that half of all orders of this product may simply come loose without any original product box since they only have one box per 50 count. Hopefully they'd wrap them in plastic or something else to keep out moisture, as they did with mine, but Amazon packaging is not always consistent though it says a lot about a company that that is the worst complaint I can think of against them.

Edit: As Rebecca Flynn pointed out in the comment below, there are two gauze bandages in each individual packet. So my count was incorrect, which leaves me wondering why they remove the top half of the box if not to divvy up the packages. Nonetheless, my rating stands. These are the best gauze bandages I've found so far.

AAA 4324AAA Medium Duty 12' 8 Gauge Booster Cable

My car died the other day so I took out my handy-dandy booster cables and using my sister-in-law's car I gave myself a boost. Actually I TRIED to give myself a boost but they did not work. They had worked in the past but in this case my battery was totally drained (guess I left something running) and needed more juice than usual. So I sat and revved and sat and revved for 30 minutes trying to send enough juice from her car to mine but...nothing. I feared at this point that maybe it was something other than the battery but I figured, "let me get a decent pair of cables and try again. If not, I'll get a tow". I don't know what the gauge was on the cables I had but I'm sure they were crappy because they were "Made In China" and bought at a discount store for $15 or something like that. One other gripe is that they were super-short. My battery is in front of the driver's seat in the engine bay and my sister-in-law's is the same. But the stupid things would not reach from one battery to the other with the cars parked right next to each other. I had to turn her car around facing the wrong way down a one-way street to get them to reach.

So I got them two days later (Amazon Prime). Figured 6 Gauge was strong enough for my SUV and 16' was long enough to reach the full length of the car so if I was in my driveway and it died, someone could pull up behind me and the cables would reach (by the way, for those who don't know much about cars, batteries, wiring or gauge, the lower the number, the better). First thing I noticed when I got them was that they are a nice fat gauge with a thick rubber coating. So far so good. But when I saw the cables were not as long as I thought they'd be I said, "crap!" But then I realized they hadn't been fully unfurled. When I DID stretch them out to the full 16' of length my "crap!" turned to "HOLY CRAP!" because I was excited and happy. Then I hooked them up. Clamp was superbly insulated, very sturdy and had a good grip. Within THREE MINUTES my totally dead battery had enough charge to turn the car over. Couldn't be more happy! I also learned a lesson (that I've learned many times in the past but keep forgetting)...you get what you pay for. These are quality cables and not that expensive. Stay away from cheaper items and BUY THESE.

Oh, and as for the few bad reviews (and pics) about exposed metal on the clamp, well, let me just say that most booster cables have ALL of the teeth exposed and only insulate the handles. These insulate the entire handle and most of the clamp. There are cables you can buy that have the entire clamp insulated but those can be hard to connect and cost more. These expose only a small amount of copper making it easy for you to get the metal from the clamp hooked onto the metal battery terminal. You'd have to be a complete klutz to accidentally touch the small amount of exposed copper from the positive and negatives. Even then, you may see sparks fly but most of the time it will not short the good battery, that's pretty rare unless they are actually touching each other for a long time. Most times when people cross the polarities, the natural human reaction is to pull them apart and there's no ill-effect on the good battery. But again, it's not likely to happen with these AWESOME cables.

I was about to buy the Cole's heavy duty booster cable until I read one of the reviewers mention that its clamping jaws do NOT close enough for use with smaller batteries (such as motorcycle batteries).

So I bought this one from AAA instead. I am glad to say the clamps do close tightly (unlike the Cole's which leave a small gap in between). The quality is just as good as the other more expensive ones.

So this is a good tool if you just need to organize your top white coat pocket and keep things from falling out every time you lean over. I keep my reflex hammer, light, and pens in it, and this has helped.

I really like this brand "Mango & Lime" for my lock maintenance. I also use this on my daughter's natural hair. My daughter is 4 she has horrible scalp.

Everyone told me to use this product for my locks so I tried it out. I like the way it smells and it is very easy to apply. Not sticky like some other products. For the first 2-3 days it was holding pretty well but I guess you are supposed to use more often because I noticed it began to dry out. If you can apply everyday in a normal climate this product is probably pretty good but I work out all the time (sweating my hair out) and I live in extreme heat conditions.

We go through a lot of bandaids... we are a poor non-profit arts program... I needed a good price on a lot of bandaids... that won't fall off in 10 minutes. These fit the bill-lotsa bandages of good quality at a great price.

I started out using band-aids to cover a wart I was removing, not having used band-aids in a long time. The main seller of band-aids now sells, [to my knowledge] only comfort-flex band-aids. And they work very poorly. They stick too aggressively when first put on, and after a day, the tape part comes apart when removing, so I had to pick pieces of sticky band-aid off my foot.

In my search for an alternate I came across this brand and tried both the plastic and the fabric. The fabric came apart somewhat when removing, nothing like the band-aid but not the best results.

Summing up, the plastic First Aid Only Plastic Bandage is the best alternative available today. They are not perfect, but they are so much better than the others, I am giving them five stars. They stick on, but aren't painful to remove. You can buy them in one size, so you don't have to buy a bunch of band-aids of different sizes to get the few that are needed.

I've purchased this product twice from amazon over the years. The first purchase had a more flexible center, stickier glue, longer flap covers, and the bandage used to stick to the container a little to prevent it from dropping to the ground when opening. Once in a great while one will come off while sleeping.

These are still a great value for the amount you get. They still get the job done.

EDIT: I purchased another set of them. They are the old style ones. I was able to test both now. They are definitely much stickier. They are also slightly darker in color. The tabs are also longer. It looks like which one you get is random.

As a soccer and softball coach, this is a good start, needs a few more things that are easy added in later. Bag is good plenty of room even for the things that are missing.

I added more instant cold compresses, a bigger selection of bandaids and sports tape. The pre-wrap is fine, but the tape that comes with it is not very good.

Would by again, just make sure you get a few of the extras before you need them!

Elyte Incontinence Pads

My daughter has spina bifida as well as several allergies. She is able to wear regular girls' panties with an incontinence pad, but was having allergic reactions to most pads on the market. I was grateful to discover the Elyte brand, which are 100% cotton, but had trouble finding a size that provided the amount of absorption she needed without being too large a pad to fit into her panties. Bolin Chest Seal

The Bolin Chest Seal arrived today delivered by our trusty USPS. This is not milk but I expect the product to have a relative moderate shelf life. The expiration date on the package is JUL 2012. Based on all the reviews and tests that I've read/seeen, in the event that I would need something to address a sucking chest wound, I'm confident that I added this to my standard issue IFAK (individual first aid kit). The oustanding crew from Grunt Gear, the company where I purchased this chest seal from, added a free Hyfin chest seal for the exit wound. I was just gonna use the Bolin chest seal's packaging to cover the exit wound, but having a readily available adhesive seal would significantly minimize the time to treat a wound and increase the chances of survival. Grunt Gear had the best price and their shipping time was top-notch, I received the item whithin 6 days, just in time for my next mission.

The Bolin chest seal (BCS) is a sterile occlusive dressing for the treatment of an open pneumothorax (sucking chest wound) It works by allowing air and fluid out of the wound, but not back in via a triple one-way valve. A sucking chest wound impairs respiration because there must be a seal between the expanding chest wall and the lung, so the chest wall can "pull" the lung open and inflate it. This is a life threatening condition that must be treated immediately. The Bolin chest seal is often compared to the Aherman chest seal, which is another occlusive dressing. In a study, both have equal survivability rates but the adhesive on the Bolin chest seal is far superior, especially in the presence of blood and soil. Both can save your life but I prefer the best of the best. An EMT friend told me about these patches. He was across the street from a shooting when it happened. Unfortunately, the victim was hit 11 times in the chest and back with 22 cal rounds. Fortunately, it happened across the street from the fire department. Really fortunately, the responding unit had 12 of these chest wound patches. After a helicopter ride and a couple weeks in the hospital, the guy survived. That was drug rehab the hard way.

I regularly go to the shooting range and participate in pistol and rifle matches. I'm probably safer on the range than during the drive to it. I went to the podiatrist.. She gave me some cream in a giant tube that cost $90. It was similar to smearing axle grease on your feet..

Here's a hint for all you folks that may not know.. If you do this you will increase the effectiveness of this stuff 100% if you have a really bad dry foot problem.

Apply a liberal amount of this to your heels or feet before you go to bed, loosely wrap saran or other plastic wrap around your feet, then cover with socks. Sleep this way. The remove the wrap in the morning, then dry your new feet. The key to healing your skin is moisture. The wrap holds the moisture in.

In addition if you have a real problem that this wont fix, you may have a fungal infection. Apply a small amount of Lamisil cream or other athletes foot cream under the Flexitol.

Try one of these as well to buff off dry skin after you bathe or shower (it can also be used dry).

Although I did not purchase this product from amazon I have bought other foot creams through amazon and they just did nothing for my feet. It really is crazy how quickly this product works. I've had deep heel cracks for a few years and have tried the usual: moisturizer, exfoliate, no open back shoes, etc. without any significant change in my heels. I found a website that mentioned Flexitol Heel balm along with a routine that has almost completely healed them (no pun intended) in 6 days. The first day, I used a pumice stone/ heel file and got rid of the dead skin after soaking my feet for 30 minutes. Put on the heel balm, wore socks, then reapplied at night. I've only used the file twice...however, I've applied the lotion religiously morning and night and I'm stupefiedno more pain and only the tiniest of cracks left. I just got sick of dealing with the pain/hassle and now I just wish I'd found this product sooner.

An earlier reviewer seems to find fault with the new formulationall I've used is the new product so I can't comment on what it was like beforeI just know it works now!

High Five Cobalt Nitrile Exam Glove. Large

I worked for over 20 years in a medical laboratory as a technologist and we were required to wear gloves while handling specimens and performing our analytical duties. The last 12 years before I retired in 2011 we used these gloves exclusively when we moved away from latex due to one of our tech's developing a latex allergy. We tried several brands at first but everyone or at least the majority loved this brand of nitrile glove. Our entire medical center staff eventually chose these gloves for staff throughout the hospital after borrowing a few boxes from us. After an hour or so your hands do get sweaty but these gloves hold up to alot of abuse. I use them now in my workshop when staining wood or gluing boards. They are also really handy for cleaning up after my pets when they have a rare boo boo in the house.

These are the same wonderful gloves that the VA sends to all of there clients. I love the fit and feel. Not to thick and not to thin.

I adore these gloves... I have to say they are probably one of the most beautiful shades of indigo I've ever seen. They're not exactly cobalt, but more indigo (purple/blue). They fit wonderfully, do not make your hands sweat, and don't rip. Not to mention, they're very affordable for such an attractive color. These are the best Nitrile gloves i ever found!! I have been a mechanic for almost 20 years and can not wear latex because I am allergic to them. Dynarex Ammonia Inhalants, 33 Cc, 10 Ampules

Tried one for myself, needless to say I'll pitty whomever has the misfortune of requiring the administration of these inhalants. Absolutely killer to the sinuses, I wouldn't doubt this'd wake someone from beyond the grave! I'm sure ammonia inhalants are no longer standing orders for BLS/ALS, though I wouldn't hesitate to use them when not on the job. Keep a set in my personal trauma bag and would definitely buy more for my company kit.

I bought these more for the novelty of simply owning smelling salts and being able to have them handy in case a friend has fainted or passed out. I have tried many on myself and sleeping friends (much to their disappointment to be jolted awake) and they work wonderfully but sting and smell sooooo bad which I am sure is what makes them so effective.

What they actually look like and how to use: Upon opening the box there are 10 neatly ordered "Ampules" basically they are about an inch long, have the girth of a pencil, are covered in what appears to fabric of some kind, and contain instructions on where to squeeze to activate them.

They feel like there is a glass pill capsule inside of the fabric which is tapered at both ends. They instruct you to pinch in the middle and immediately they turn pink to let you know it has been activated. Next you hold it under the passed out persons nose and watch as their body jolts from laying to sitting fully upright. They are strongest immediately upon compression of the ampule so hold it under the nose as you pinch. They still have an effect for roughly 10 seconds after squeezing though slightly less.

I do not know much about the negative health effects if any but I have used these to wake up on days where I feel like I could stay in bed all day but have to work or go to classes and boy they will almost throw your body out of bed. Upon first inhaling if you are already awake you wont be able to hold it in front of your nose for more than a second before you're jolted. Sidenote: Jeeze it burns your nose terribly when inhaling and smells just like ammonia as may be obvious but it also forces you to take deep breaths after that which I believe really aids in waking you up.

Bottomline: Extremely handy in a first aid kit, Great for long car rides when you're nodding off, Cruel for unsuspecting friends, and all in all this is probably the best deal on Amazon for smelling salts especially with Prime. Buy it and even if you never have to use them you're only out like $3!

I will leave analysis of the medical advisability of this product to the experts. I will simply say that this product is exactly as advertised and, in my case, arrived quickly and in good shape. I've used it in an experimental capacity to wake up dozing lawyers at my law firm and if it works on those sloths, it will work on anyone with a pulse. I also think that expiration dates on this product are irrelevant since I have a very old package from the same supplier that is well past expiration and still potent.

Unfortunately, I have been battling fainting with blood/medical related scenarios for some time. Doctors used the ammonia inhalants on me for years. I was finally able to buy them from my pharmacy many years ago, but it was difficult for them to find, most of the staff had never heard of them, it took a while to order, and the cost was higher. I'm glad I saw these on Amazon...great price at $3.00 and change, delivered timely right to my door. For those that haven't used these, here is what I do: I break a capsule between my fingers, which releases the ammonia smell, and then wave it under my nose. I don't think it is good to keep it under the nose prolonged...at least that is my recollection. Of course, you should get advice from your doctor for advice on proper use and besides, I'm not a doctor...just relaying my use. I have used these enough and have discovered that, on me, the ammonia vapors become less intense the closer I am to passing out, and stronger the more "awake" I am. So, if I just break one open and I'm not feeling whoozy, it smells very strong, but if I'm close to passing out, it is actually much weaker smelling until I'm less whoozy. I've been able to use this on myself sometimes, or my wife has done it for me. I typically have one in my pocket if I'm going somewhere uncomfortable, like getting a blood test, and I like to have them in the house...just in case. I hope Amazon keeps selling them. If you faint, or someone you know faints, from a blood phobia, I highly recommend them.
