Flents Flents First Aid Finger Cots

36 First Aid Finger Cots - Protection for Finger Tips From Cuts, Burns or BlistersI would have rated the Flents First Aid Finger Cots much, much lower but one star was the lowest that I could rate them. I bought these assorted finger cots from the local Walmart because this was the only brand available. I tried to put one on my finger to protect a cut and the cot would not even roll up as depicted in the picture on the box. The cot will not roll up no matter how you put it on your finger or how hard you try because after a few attempts, the cot tears. I went through several, different sizes, thinking my first one was defective but none would roll up my finger and they all ended up tearing. I had to toss the remaining cots in the trash because they're absolutely WORTHLESS! Please try another brand, this one is a waste of good money.

These work just fine. Yes they are thin and don't last long, but isn't that the purpose? They protect the finger tips and allow medication to stay in contact with the injury to help it heal. Well worth my investment!

INSTANT DISPOSABLE ICE PACK COLD PACK 4"X5" 24 PK NEW

INSTANT DISPOSABLE ICE PACK COLD PACK 4'X5' 24 PK NEWThese are mediocre icepacks. I bought a bunch to deal with sports injuries after practice, but I am using them less and less. When the user squeezes the pouch, it breaks an internal seal that allows two chemicals to mix cooling the pouch. However, the pressure required varies substantially. I've had several pouches that need me to jump on them (at risk of rupturing the outer pouch) before they work. The next problem is that the chemicals inside are both solid and liquid, this results in a pouch that is truly cold only when it is being shaken. As soon as the shaking stops, the temperature rises to "cool" but nothing close to ice cold. Often my hands end up chilled when it's my knee or ankle that needs the therapy.

I've used more expensive pouches before, and I think I'll avoid budget ice packs in the future. In my experience, other packs that use only liquid chemicals create a more extreme cold that does not require prolonged shaking to work.

It is very difficult to squeeze the ice pack. Especially in an emergency.

Had to step on it to pop the inner contents.

INVERNESS MEDICAL INC. Z - Bec Tablets Plus Zinc Complete B-complex Supplement Tablets - 60 Tablets

INVERNESS MEDICAL INC. Z - Bec Tablets Plus Zinc Complete B-complex Supplement Tablets - 60 TabletsI have used Z-BEC vitamins for years. They were prescribed to me by a doctor. I am now 77 years old and continue to take one every day. I suffer from COPD and this vitamin helps protect me from cold and virus germs. I have suggested their use to many of my friends. I would use no other. I am homebound and find that I can order them easily using Amazon.

Edith T. Dean

My husband and I love this product! We used to be able to buy it at a local drugstore but now just buy it on Amazon! An ENT Doctor originally told us about it when my daughter was in college and came down with a virus that left her unable to taste anything. She needed more B vitamin and he suggested ZBEC. That was back in 2002 and we all still take one a day. We can absolutely say we are healthier than most people we know. If we do catch a cold it seems to leave about as quickly as it came on! We are faithful fans of it!!

Adventure Medical SOL Scout Survival Pak

Adventure Medical Kits Sol Scout, 5.40-OunceOverall, this is a great product. But the fire starter tool is tough to use if you don't have a great starter fuel. I bought a magnesium starter to supplement this product. I also purchased additional emergency blankets as I usually travel with more than 1 person. I use this as part of a more comprehensive vehicle kit.

Always practice with the tools you may need to rely on. Take some lint from the dryer and try the fire starter and see if you can get something going. And you can pack an old pill bottle full of lint and have a lot more fire starting material. Just my $0.02.

Lots of stuff in here for a reasonable cost. Everyone should have 1 in every car and bug out bag

21st Century Glucosamine 750mg Chondroitin 600mg, Triple Strength

21st Century Glucosamine 750 Chondroitin 600, Triple StrengthTablets, 300-CountI have suffered from osteoarthritis for almost 15 years and have tried just about every type of pain remedy. Prescription drugs affected my liver; OTC pain relievers bothered my stomach; other supplements were not effective at killing the pain in my hips and wrists. Triple strength glucosamine-chondroitin tablets by 21st Century have been a life-saver. With only two tablets a day, I am fully mobile and pain-free. This is a fantastic product.

21st Century Glucosamine Chondroitin, 3X, 150 Tablets

This is the first time I purchased this from Amazon, however, I have been using Glucosamine/Chondroitin for many years ( maybe 20+ ). My knees used to click when I walked from old injuries of my youth and after taking this supplement they stopped. I can't tell you how long it took, but they stopped. Albiet some doctors say that tests say the stuff doesn't work, but I tell them to tell it to my knees !!! If you have bone cartilage problems, it's worth a try.

I recommend this product.

Belt Loop Medical Organizer

Belt Loop Organizer Color: PurpleI am a nursing student and many things are needed in our pockets at clinical, so I bought this organizer to keep my pockets a little more organized. I love it! It fits everything that I need, including scissors and keeps everything handy and easy to find. Highly recommended for all nursing students!

H2Ocean Ultimate Tattoo Care Kit, 6.2 Ounce

H2Ocean Ultimate Tattoo Care Kit, 6.2 OunceFirst things first, the photo that you see above is wrong. The kit comes with three different items, a cleaning foam, a moisturizing cream and another foam that you put on after the second day.

Most tattoo shops recommend A&D Ointment, which I used on my first tattoo. A while ago, I got a scrape (not on my tattoo) and I figured that I would use some A&D on it since it supposedly helped to heal my tattoo. After a few days, nothing really seemed to change, I used some Bacitracin and it healed in a day. (I am not saying that you should use Bacitracin on your tattoo!) Considering that A&D didn't really help me heal very much, I went looking for other products and found this...

The first day you get your tattoo you are supposed to use the foam and the cream. The instructions don't make the most sense to me, but I'm guessing the foam is to clean it and the cream moisturizes. Again, it doesn't really say that the cream also helps heal your tattoo, but after using it I think it does it (and does it well).

I'm only two days into using the kit, but it seems to be working. The pain has gone down a ton (I had a 1/2 sleeve outlined with some of the background shaded) and I am not seeing any flaking of the ink at all. By the second day, the tattoo stopped 'leaking' ink. Everything seems to be scabbing up nicely.

It would appear that this kit really is helping things along. I will add more down the line, but I am very pleased with the kit.

Had my tattoo done six days ago and am using this kit since day one. So far the tattoo is healing very well and looks better than the other ones when healing. The biggest negative is the price... but if you spend $200 or more for a tattoo, what's another $30?

Give it a try... and follow the directions...

Buy H2Ocean Ultimate Tattoo Care Kit, 6.2 Ounce Now

I Got a full sleeve(in color) done and i usually use TattooGoo but i wanted to try something different, saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. So far my tattoo is healing fine, but the foam soap doesn't last long (and not just because i have a sleeve) so this would be ideal for smaller pieces, the Lotion is THICK! Whoa, it has the consistency of toothpaste so the first day it was painful since my arm was sore and parts were swollen,so when using the lotion it will take longer than you would expect... trust me. Now the blue foam is OK, nothing special about it. Honestly if your tat is small go for it, but for larger pieces ill stick with the tattoogoo kit... Hope this helps

There really is nothing much to say about this product. It basically speaks for itself and it is very effective. I used it on my first tattoo and I am impressed on how it sped up my healing and kept my new tat moisturized. The instructions that came with the kit are easy to follow and the use of the product is easy and not messy. I will definitely buy another set when I get a new tat and would recommend it to anybody looking for a great aftercare kit for their fresh ink.

Want H2Ocean Ultimate Tattoo Care Kit, 6.2 Ounce Discount?

The pictures of my tattoo are on the product page. I did a TON of research on aftercare and it seems that there's just as much contradiction between the professionals as there is with the amateurs. I had a special a&d ointment applied and saran wrapped for 3 hours until I got home. I immediately used the foam soap to wash off the ointment and then dried it by dabbing a soft towel on it to soak up the water AND MOISTURE which avoids the scabbing. Then I used the Salve "instructions are in the box and are very easy to follow" for the first 2 days and then started the ocean foam. I stopped oozing after a day and a half. I've heard tons of stories about how other peoples tattoos healed and I believe this product accelerated the time and took GREAT care of my tattoo. I know it's 30 dollars but the freaking tattoo lasts the rest of your life so don't be a cheap ass and screw up your tattoo so it ends up looking cheap and crappy. *** I used this product for the initial healing phase of my tattoo. Such as the first week. After that, save money and use alcohol and fragrance free soap and hand lotion. I use that in conjunction with the tattoo aftercare kit and I still have some left over to begin finishing my half sleeve with. I ordered a second kit because I believe I'll run out in the healing process of getting my second outline filled in.

Ace Ace Splint Wrist Brace Reversible One Size Adjustable

Ace Splint Wrist Brace, Reversible, One Size AdjustableCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program My family tends to make use of several brace/bandage type products. These are typically for injuries related to sports activities (soccer, lacrosse, cheerleading, etc.). Typically, we will use an Ace or Futuro product.

As far as this Ace Splint Wrist Brace, here is what it is, and is not:

* It is advertised as being reversible, and it is. It comes in the package set up for right-handed use. To change it to left-handed use, simply pull the splint from its pocket, turn over the brace, and slide the splint back in.

* The brace is advertised as "One Size Adjustable." I think this is somewhat of a misnomer. It is indeed adjustable. This is easy to do, and it will expand/contract from 5 ½" to 8/12" inches at its smallest point (your wrist). The problem is when you say "One size" I think people assume it is one size fits "all", or at least "most." In the case of this brace, I would say if you are an adult female and are anywhere from petite to a little above average size, you should be fine. If you are male, if your hands/forearms are anything beyond average size, this might be uncomfortable/tight fit. As an example, I am of average height, and my wrist is a little over 8 ½", and the brace barely fits.

As far as comfort, it is a brace after all, in essence a sleeve with fasteners and a metal splint, so it will feel somewhat constrictive when on. While something that fits loosely is usually more comfortable, if a brace is loose, it simply won't work.

Construction-wise the brace is nice. It is non-latex and breathes very nice so you won't feel overly warm, or sweaty, with it on. It has three hook/eye fasteners to secure it. The inside of the sleeve is not rough. In fact, its quite comfortable against your skin.

The brace is NOT machine-washable, nor should it be tumble-dried or dry cleaned. Ace recommends washing by hand with warm (not hot) water and mild soap, then allowing it to air dry.

I find the brace provides more support for sprains CTS than does a plain Ace bandage.

All in all, this is a good product, but keep in mind the size of your hand/wrist when purchasing.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program After several years of working at a computer, my right wrist aches sometimes from using a mouse for too long. When I saw this on the Vine program, I jumped at the chance to try it. For me, it helps. It keeps my wrist in a position that stops it from aching. I don't have overly large wrists/hands, and this brace fits easily. The stretchy material gives it a nice snug fit, but I can tell that it will fit wrists larger than mine.

The brace provides good support. It's not like a cast, for sure, but it helps me keep my wrist in a proper position.

One thing that I can't speak to is longevity. I've only had it a couple of months, and I haven't done anything but use it at my computer. That said, it looks like it did on the first day.

A couple of things that I wish were different:

1) I might be pulling it too tight (but I don't think so), but after a while, my fingers tingle a bit because it's restricting blood flow.

2) I can type with it on, but using a mouse is clumsy. So, it helps my wrist feel better, but it makes using a computer more difficult.

For ~$20, I think it's worth trying if you're experiencing wrist pains. I was fortunate and got to try it for free, but now that I have tried it, I can honestly say that I wouldn't be disappointed in it if I'd paid $20 for it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a very nice neoprene wrist brace. It has thumb hole, decent length and 3 tightening straps. It comes with a light aluminum splint that can be removed. Can be used on either hand.

Pros:

1) Can be used as a wrist support by completely removing the splint.

2) Can be used as a splint by leaving the aluminum in, and there are 2 slots to put it in so you can use this on either hand.

3) Very nice sturdy neoprene material.

4) 3 tightening straps.

Cons:

None that I can think of.

Summary:

Very nice high quality strap. Highly recommended.

Ivy Block Ivy Block Lotion

Ivy Block - 4 ozI am one of those fortunate 1% known as "hyper sensitive". I do not even need to come in contact with the plant to get an urushiol reaction. If a deer brushes past the plant and then sheds fur on the trail, I get it. Dust that gets through my clothes exposes me to it. Allergists across the west coast marvel at my sensitivity. Whoopee. And EVERY TIME I am exposed, I go on meds, or else ruin sheets with three week long oozing. I stockpile Prednisone. I have, therefore, created a system to cleanse myself of the resin as I hike or ride, and it usually works pretty well. I was recently doing some recon on some older trails, and I went through tons of oak, but I did not get any reaction. So I give this product a 4 star rating, as it seems like it did the job, but then, if it works, nothing happens, right? So nothing happened. I assume that it was because of the block, but I don't know for sure. Unlike Technu, it does not smell really wierd, and I think it even has SPF. I have added it to my voodoo ceremony against urushiol, and am optimistic... although I will not even consider ending my proven regimen of cleansing. Still be careful, but this does seem to provide a certain amount of protection. For those of you like me, remember to trust nothing, fully.

My husband and son are highly allergic to poision ivy and so I purchased this for them. We recently went on a hiking vacation in TN and poision ivy was everwhere! They both used the block and for the first time, got to enjoy the outdoors without getting the outbreak from the poision ivy. I would HIGHLY recommend this product. I am planning on buying them more for stocking stuffers for Christmas!

I am somewhat sensitive to PI and poison oak -if I brush up against it I will get a rash, but I don't think I've gotten a rash from indirect contact with it. I am also an avid trail runner.

Last year I borrowed some Ivy Block from a friend before setting out on a trail run, and covered myself with the stuff. I had a pretty horrid accident where I tripped on a tree root, fell off a small cliff, and went rolling down a poison ivy-covered embankment. I was pretty messed up: twisted my knee, got some lovely bruises, and got a horrendous gouge taken out of my forearm. But I did not have a single speck of PI rash.

I now go through this stuff like I go through sunblock. Haven't gotten PI since.

I'm extremely allergic, and was excited about this product. I followed the directions on the lable, and applied it 15 min bf I went outside. I put it on with the intent of getting rid of the poison ivy in my yard. Once I started working I noticed that where I applied the lotion on my arms, it started to get warm and burn a little, after about 30 min. of working, the sensation was worrisome. I washed it off and the next day had a light poison ivy rash. It wasn't nearly as bad as it has been in the past, so it does work some, but not completely when in direct contact, and for me, not without some side effect.

For the first couple of months i really liked this bag, but recently it started to fall apart. On the plus side, it has a lot of nice detachable velcro bags in which to put supplies, as well as several compartments with loops for storing airways, bandages, etc. Now the bad news. First, after 2 months, one of the backpack straps connecting to the lower part of the bag blew out. I had to stitch it and glue with epoxy. Then, I started to notice that other connection points of the backpack straps were starting to go, and have had to reinforce them with epoxy throughout. Even so, as an EMT, the daily heavy use that i give to this bag is too much for the level of quality provided. I now wish i had saved my money and gone for a Meret or Statpacks bag instead. If this is a trunk bag or bag which will only see occasional use, it may work for you. But if it is to be used by an EMS professional who will be be using it daily, you will be better served paying more for a higher quality bag, rather than going through this one in a few months, only to end up purchasing a high quality bag in the end. I have already invested an extra 15 in epoxy, not to mention extra time working on this bag to keep it operational, so i consider it to be a very poor investment indeed.

Earth Mama Angel Baby C-Mama Healing Salve, 1-Ounce

Earth Mama Angel Baby C-Mama Healing Salve, 1-OunceFirst, yes, this is a tiny jar, but a little goes a VERY LONG WAY. It is suggested that you use it 2-3 times a day, and I will admit I used it 1-2 times a day. One jar lasted me approx. 6-8 weeks. Oh, and I was using it on an existing scar and my face in addition to my new c-section scar. I bought a jar for my mother to use on some sever scars on her face which she used 2-3 times a day on her entire face it lasted her over 4 months.

So anyways....

I found this salve after my second delivery, both were c-sections due to complications. I began applying it as soon as the wound was exposed and found that it burned a little so I waited about a week and reapplied with no burning or irritation. With my second surgery, the skin was folded and over lapped and I feared how awful it would look once completely healed. After a couple of months of using this my scar was looking fantastic! I can now honestly say the second scar is smaller then the first one.

Being that it worked so well on my c-section scar I decided to try it on a 20 year old scar on my neck that was completely ghastly! I ended up being allergic to the thread used, causing an awful infection and having to have the incision redone, all of which left a very large, thick scar that sat very noticeable above the skin. The results were not as fantastic as my c-section, however, there was a very noticeable difference. This salve helped to break down the scar tissue and the scar now sits more flush to the rest of my skin. Although there is a remarkable difference, I was kind of hoping for miracles after seeing what it did to my other scar. Not saying that this salve didn't do what I wanted, as it worked far better that Madermia, but rather one should have realistic expectations.

And as a side note, I tried using this for acne scars and saw some difference with that as well. My skin looked more nourished and hydrated causing the skin to look fuller and decreasing the appearance of the acne scars. It also did wonders with my fine wrinkles which was an added bonus. Although, it should be mentioned that this item contains a fair amount of vit. c and there for when using this, sunscreen should be applied anywhere this is being used or else it will cause dark spots on the skin.

More side notes, it can leave your skin feeling a little oily, especially if you use too much. This really needs to be used sparingly, and I do mean sparingly. I would barely dip my finger into the jar and it would be enough for my c-section, neck, and might even be enough left over for around my eyes.

Over all, I completely love this salve! I am pregnant with my third child and the doctor has already told me that I will have to have another c-section so I am returning to start stocking up on this awesome salve.

UPDATE I went in for my third c-section and a nurse was completely amazed by how tiny my scar was. She kept asking me, "This is your third?" Then she called all the other nurses and doctors over so they too could see my scar. When I told them it was from using this salve, they all went flocking for pens and paper to write down the name.

It should also be noted that I used this for approx. 6-7 months. It takes the skin several months to completely heal so one should not expect this to work overnight.

I've had two c-section so was excited to try this product when I saw the good reviews. It's expensive but I figured if it worked I deserved it after being cut open twice. However the salve is very hard and it's difficult to get any real amount on your fingers to apply. My scar is still in the very sensitive time where it feels creepy to touch it too much. I prefer using other creams that are soft and I can just goop a bunch on without having to rub so much. Maybe it works great, I'm not sure. I don't think I'll have the opportunity to find out since I have trouble applying it.

Its nothing special. It is just expensive for nothing. It doesnt smell good at all and it really doesn't seem to have much healing properties. Honestly using regular vaseline to massage the scar will have the same effect, Will not buy this or recommend it to anyone

Universal Black Foam Cervical Collar, 3.5"

Universal Black Foam Cervical Collar, 3.5'For the price it is a great product; only if they could make the foam a little thicker and little more rigid.

I suffered from a ruptured disk in my neck (C5-C6) eight weeks ago. It was a terrible time. I wore a collar every day, almost 24 hours a day, for the first six weeks. I used this 3.5 inch foam collar as I transitioned from the hard plastic collar to no collar at all during the day and also slept in this collar for a couple of weeks during the transition. I purchased a second 3 inch collar to take showers in so I had some support but it was easier to wash my face and hair with the shorter collar.

I rated these four stars only because I had hoped they would be a little firmer. But, the taller collar (3.5inch) still helped hold my head up as it rested on my chin.

When I first started going without any collar during the day, I still used this to sleep in to make sure I didn't bend my neck. These collars are inexpensive but really helped me in my recovery during this scary time. I will keep them on hand now to use when on road trips or for the plane.

I have a long, thin neck (men's 15 collar). Without a collar, I often wake up with neck pain and get frequent headaches. I must twist my neck while I sleep. In any case, this prevents it. The first few nights I wore it my clavicle and jaw were a little sore in the morning but no big deal.

I bought this for sleeping on planes after seeing an item in Skymall magazine specifically designed for this but selling for $20. I bought a 3.5". If I rest my head on the front of it, it puts pressure on my jaw, which is only mildly uncomfortable. I have not yet used it during sleep, but I believe I can fix that problem by putting a free blanket they give in between my jaw and the collar. I am very satisfied with this collar.
