Overall, this is a great product. But the fire starter tool is tough to use if you don't have a great starter fuel. I bought a magnesium starter to supplement this product. I also purchased additional emergency blankets as I usually travel with more than 1 person. I use this as part of a more comprehensive vehicle kit.

Always practice with the tools you may need to rely on. Take some lint from the dryer and try the fire starter and see if you can get something going. And you can pack an old pill bottle full of lint and have a lot more fire starting material. Just my $0.02.
