Johnson & Johnson Coach Sports Tape, 4 Count

Johnson & Johnson Coach Sports Tape, 4 CountBeen though several brands of athletic tape over the past year or so, but haven't been able to buy J&J brand locally. I use this for CrossFit, any time we have to lift overhead, do handstand push-ups, basically anything that is hard on the wrists, or use when my hands are trashed do to pull-ups.

I have found that most of the other brands either come off when you get sweat, or are impossible to tear by hand.

I got a 4 pack of this stuff, and it's amazing. Easy to tear by hand, and sticks so well, it actually kind of feels like a bandaid when you pull it off. It hasn't once let loose during a workout, due to getting sweaty. Great stuff, will keep it on my subscribe and save. Cheaper than buying it locally for sure.

First of all, it is hard to find a multi-pack of this stuff in drugstores. And if you do find it, it's going to be a couple dollars more than at Amazon. The tape itself is great for prevention of and stabilizing injuries. The older I get, the more I need.

I am no expert on athletic tape, I bought these when I twisted my ankle and wanted to prevent any more sprains while playing. I used some online instructions to tape my ankle up before the game and have not had any sprains with the tape on until now. Also they are much cheaper on Amazon than in Walmart

Overall this is a quality tape, however, for runners this wont work well. It does not stretch but most importantly it does not stay, after just a little bit of running, the sweat pretty much ruined the taping job the tape started moving a lot, even if you tighten it more. ALso, once you stretch (for example if you have this on your knee), it becomes loose. I personally would not recommend to runners. But it works good for other purposes.

I put this on my foot to help with plantar fasciitis. As soon as I took a step the tape peeled off at both ends and the whole thing practically fell of on the floor. It does not stick at all and it is very thin.

Kudos to Amazon Customer Service, I reported that I was unhappy with this product and they immediately issued me a refund. I give Amazon 5 stars!

Adson Tissue Forceps 4 1/2 Serrated, fineB Straight American Diagnostic Corp ADC 3319

Adson Tissue Forceps 4 1/2 Serrated, fineB Straight American Diagnostic Corp ADC 3319
  • Quantity of 1
  • Picture is of general product line - may not be actual product
  • Please refer to description or package qty for quantity

From my previous experience in the medical field I knew what type of forceps I wanted for good general household tweezers. These adson tissue forceps with the serrated tips are the best for those pesky splinters & other items sticking in the fingers, etc. With the wider hand grips one can hold on very well & the fingers won't slip off and the tweezers or in this case forceps won't twist on you either. I was not disappointed when they arrived and they have been invaluable to my household first aid kit. I got two pairs so I can always have one with me when I take trips. Whether it is a hunting trip or just a weekend stay somewhere or a longer vacation, I never leave home without a pair of these adson tissue forceps with serrated tips and the 4 1/2" is just the right size, but if you need a longer pair they are also available. I got these from BP Medical Supply thru Amazon & I am glad I did.

New-Skin Liquid Bandage, First Aid Liquid Antiseptic, 1-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4)

New-Skin Liquid Bandage, First Aid Liquid Antiseptic, 1-Ounce BottlesI used this product after receiving a number of small cuts on my hand, and I have to agree with the negative reviews. Having used both Nexcare and Band-Aid liquid bandages, both of which last days after application, I expected New Skin to perform similarly. I bought it because neither Nexcare nor Band-Aid were in stock at my local pharmacy. Applying New Skin stings, unlike the other two products, but that was to be expected given the antiseptic it contains. What was not expected, however, was having to reapply the product several times a day. After washing your hands a couple of times, New Skin begins to peel-off, at which point the application is no longer waterproof and needs to be peeled off completely and reapplied. While it has a strong odor, I wouldn't stop using New Skin simply for that, but the short duration of the seal will keep me from ever using it again as long as another band of liquid bandage is available.

I have skin cracks on my thumbs from dry skin. I have used the Band-aid liquid bandage, Nexcare and New skin. Out of all three of these products, New Skin is the worst. It smells awful, really strong, and it does not last two seconds on my skin. I would not buy this product again. I am actually about to throw the new bottle away. Please try the Nexcare product first. The Band-aid product is the best but you have to use applicators which you run out of before the product is gone.

I've covered some sizable cuts with this stuff. When you have a big open cut, or even a razer cut, you don't want to just lock out air from it. That can actually be detrimental if you are cutting off air from bacteria, an infection can be caused instead of prevented. For that reason I would not use a liquid bandage without a disinfectant. It is too air-tight of a seal. Some of the more permanent liquid bandages are too permanent. All I want to be able to do is disinfect the wound, get it to dry out, then let it air out and heal naturally.

I don't want a 4 day seal of plastic imbedded in my wound.

New skin also has a long shelf life. It doesn't dry out. I've had one bottle for about 10 years and covered dozens of cuts with it.

If you are looking for something that does not sting or that you can paint it on and forget this is not going to be the right product for you.

New-skin is meant to be used on smaller areas and re-applied through out the day. It does have a strong smell similar to nail polish but the smell does dissipate.

As a Massage Therapist my hands are very important. I am both accident prone and a cat owner so small scratches and abrasions on my fingers and hands are an everyday reality.

New-skin helps protect me and everyone I come into contact from possible infection. I re-apply it after I wash my hands between each massage. The new-skin does stay on through out the hour session even with use of lotion. At the end of the day I can remove the dried 'bandaid' and let the area breath.

New-skin works for what I need it to: saving me from having to wear a traditional bandaid and gloves, to protect it, when I have an area of broken skin.

I have also used New-skin on my feet when new shoes rubbed my skin raw. That did sting quite a bit but after the application dried it protected the area and there was no pain.

The only real downside to this product is it doesn't work so well with freely bleeding areas. Usually a little tissue over the area to help slow the bleeding is enough to do the job.

One of my family members has eczema on the hand and we use this on it and it works great to keep it from getting worse and protects the skin from water.

Grabber Outdoors The Original Space Brand Emergency Survival Blanket, Silver (Pack of 3)

Grabber Outdoors The Original Space Brand Emergency Survival Blanket, SilverI spent three-nights bushwalking, and an Emergency Blanket turned out to be critical for each & every night. I admittedly went in unprepared with a zip-up fleece blanket -like a sleeping bag but not a sleeping bag -and a cotton liner. The first day & night were dry, but at night I noted that my body heat was being lost to the world too quickly. My tent, double-layer air mattress, fleece blanket, & liner were not enough. I put on a dry heavy Columbia Omni-Wick shirt -not enough. I put on dry ski socks -not enough. Then I had to take the Emergency Blanket step, and I was then confident I would be OK. The next two days & nights were extremely wet & notably cold as I fast-tracked to get out of the park. And I luckily I could just-manage to keep my sleeping gear dry thanks to a compression dry sack (everything else was soaked), and adding on the Emergency Blanket was a no-brainer each following night. For a few bucks and the confidence that you'll wake up in the morning ... buy it. (And buy a double-layer air mattress too depending upon what you're doing ... losing heat to the ground was big time non-issue for me.)

I loved this blanket. It's very light weight and keeps you very warm. I bought a few for myself and I am glad I did. They will last me a long time.

No ATC or sports med doc should be without these when working with athletes...if you don't have these, get them...

Didn't hold as well as what we got from the doctor and this was what he told us to get. So wasn't real happy that it didn't work like it was supposed to. Strips would not hold.

We had to go out and get different ones.

ADC Trauma Bag, Orange

ADC Rescue BagThe bag itself is a little smaller than pictured. Not that much bigger than a soft-sided cooler that holds 16 beverage cans. With that said,..now on to the main review.

the bag is made of 800 denier nylon or so they say, seems more like 400. It has some type of water resistent coating on the inside of exposed areas, but in my test it is fair at best for water repell, i wouldnt use the bag in the rain(more on that later). The bag has a very nice padded carry handle and a decent adjustable shoulder strap. It also has a padded bottom. It has two side zippered pockets that can handle a couple of dozen gauze pads each. These are zippered. There are two expandable pouches on the front. Since they are not zippered, i would only use these for items that are already sealed, prepackaged items such as antiseptic, water-gel,etc, as they will probably get wet. Above these pockets are eight elastic holders for whatever you may want to use them for. The top flap of the bag has an internal zipper that allows storage in the entire bag lid, great for items such as space blankets that you don't use all of the time. It has two buckles and a velcro strip that attach to the lower end of the bag. Two inside flaps that cover the inside of the bag close with velcro, no zipper!! The interior of the bag is about 12x9x9. That is without the adjustable insert. Inside of the bag is a three way divider for the bag, look for it at the bottom, i almost missed it!!LOL. The divider is very well padded to provide separation on the inside. You can adjust it to suit you, but the standard dimentions for the three compartments are, 12x5, and two 6x4.

The problems i have: The compartments should be zippered. More orginizational slots. water resistant. A little bigger. No EMS designation, plain bag. Handle does not sit square when bag is loaded. Should have a zippered pocket on the back. At worst you can always use it as an overnight bag!! It lacks the true EMS organization and expandability, but for $30 it's still great if you just want to throw your stuff in a bag. Look at the pictures on adctoday.com before you buy so that you can see it better. all in all it's an ok bag, but far from great. Hope this review help fellow Amazoners!!

For a very basic first aid kit it is fine. I have it in the boot of my car and it it stocked to the brim with the basics for my skill set (Paramedic). I would not use this on a regular basis and in no way would it be practical for work but for around the home, in the car or for short trips it is fine. I have not experienced any problems with the buckles, grips or straps and all seem to be in good order. The storage system is fine for the basics. Mine hold 1L nrm saline, cannulation for 3ppl, ample pads and bandges, steth, OPs (neo to adult)/ no real room for ETT maybe LMA, emesis bags, trauma gears, temp, cuffs 3 size and basic drugs (very basic). It would be fine for about one/ two jobs (nothing major i.e.: plane vs train vs bus).

First Aid Only 2" Conforming Gauze Roll Bandage, 2-Count Boxes (Pack of 10)

First Aid Only 2' Conforming Gauze Roll Bandage, 2-Count BoxesIt drove me crazy that there's no mention of how long these things are so I opened one up and measured it. It was about 86" long, not stretched.

I ordered this gauze to use on a wound for my dog. As a trained vet tech, I'm used to a lot of different bandaging products. The stretch gauze I've used most often is Conform, by Kendall. This gauze is different in texture, but works similarly. It doesn't quite "grab" itself like the Conform does, but it still does the job needed, especially since self-stick pressure bandage is used outside of it.

I am not however, a fan of the packaging. This product comes two rolls per box, and ten boxes. Each roll is individually wrapped. In some messier or outdoor situations, I'm sure that's useful, but I found it annoying. I wish it were available (or if it is that I had found it) in a more bulk packaging option. I feel like all the packaging is a waste.

DuoDERM Extra Thin CGF Dressing - 4 x 4" -(One Dressing)

DuoDERM Extra Thin CGF Dressing - 4 x 4' -(One Dressing)This can be very useful, but is not recommended for wounds with a lot of drainage. Provided you have a wound that is on the dry side, this can be very beneficial.

I bought this product to protect the bridge of my nose from a cpap mask. I made a mistake buying the thin version, but have since also tried the regular thickness. Unfortunately the skin on my nose is too thin and the mask that I used has a hard interface at the bridge of my nose. Neither one did a good job protecting my nose. I have learned that because the skin of my nose is so fragile I need to use another type mask. The product was not at fault, it just couldn't do the job.

The 4" X 4" was a good deal for a trial and goes very far.

Darco OrthoWedge Healing Shoe Black Small - W 7.5 - 10 / M 6 - 8

Darco OrthoWedge Healing Shoe Black Small - W 7.5 - 10 / M 6 - 8This shoe got me walking while my toes were still healing. The shoe was true to size but I would have ordered a larger size to protect my toes from bumping things. I wear a 7 1/2 8 shoe. I would suggest ordering the medium or the next size larger. My toes were at the end of the shoe and I would have rather had a bit of shoe at the end. I did not send the shoe back for a larger size and I will use it again when I have my next foot surgery.

easy to use. helped me recover very quick. I used it with a small heel on the other foot so it made walking more comfortable. I recommend it.

This is the most amazing brace I have ever seen let alone used. It keeps your toes

at an upward slant , so there is no pressure on your toes at all. It also keeps pressure off

The pad of your foot. I bruised two ligaments to my toes and was ordered to stay off my

foot completely. If it were not for this brace it meant a wheelchair for me for 12 weeks.

With this I could move around normally. If you have broken toes or torn ligaments ,this

is a MUST !

SILKENING SHINE RELAXER SYSTEM (REGULAR) By MOTIONS Relaxer Kit

Motions Relaxer System, Silkening Shine, No Lye, RegularI have been trying to find a relaxer that wouldn't burn my scalp, over process my hair or leave it feeling extra dry...well I have found it in this Motions Silkening Shine relaxer! I was convinced to try this relaxer by watching YouTube and seeing Ateya do the infomercial about it. All I can say is WOW!!! This relaxer not only straightens my hair but also leaves it shiny, full of body and moisturized! Other relaxers I have tried would straighten but to the point my hair was limp and wouldn't hold curl. This relaxer straightens without taking away the natural thickness of my hair. I am definitely sticking with this product! It is the only relaxer that has a gel based activator (not liquid) and the deep conditioning creme works wonders. I give this products 5 stars! Try it, you'll be glad you did!

I typically gravitate towards lye relaxers you buy at your local black beauty supply, but the time came when I couldn't afford it. When I first saw this relaxer I was turned off by the price point, but I purchased it anyways. When I opened the box and looked inside I understood why it was priced higher than the other drugstore brands. There was so much inside the box, and they included a decent pair of gloves that fit my ET like fingers. Finally! When I got home I had my fears that this wouldn't cover my thick undergrowth of hair. I live in Florida and if you've ever been in the woods the trees would be my hair, and the underbrush would be my naps. That is how bad my hair gets due to the humidity down here. I can't tell how pleased I was with this product. The pre-relaxer conditioner protected and moisturized my dry hair. The relaxer didn't burn my scalp at all, and covered my hair just fine with some left over. The shampoo was really good and got all the stuff out. The color remained pink for some reason no matter how much I washed my hair. I used up the whole bottle. Both conditioners were awesome.

The reason why this relaxer got 4 stars was becuase there was no oil moisturizer, and there was a patch of hair I relaxed the reverted after a week. Now i have to wait until my next treatment to get rid of it.
