I have used Ben's 30% DEET repellent during 7 trips to Africa, including one stay in a bush camp for 6 months. It's the best! I love that it's not oily or sticky and is water based. BTW, research (and my experience) has shown that you need a concentration of 30% DEET for maximum effectiveness -less is not effective and more doesn't give additional protection, so forget the 100% stuff.

My wife purchased a bottle of Ben's Tick spray at a garage sale several years ago. We have a cabin on the Snake River in Minnesota near the Wisconsin border. This is a high risk area for Lyme's disease and the product she purchased at the garage sale worked better than anything else she tried. Traveled to rain forest in Belize and the product worked excellent. It has a strong smell but that will dissipate as it dries and its way better than getting bit. Be careful not to spill or spray on certain surfaces, the stuff is strong and can cause damage. Its not just this product but any of them with a high level of deet in it.

these are some durable gloves. I wear them on EMS calls and they hold up way better than the nitrile gloves that we are given by the company. I have been through 2 boxes of these gloves and only had 2 blowouts that I can remember. They are still very plyable and you can feel pretty good through them. I would and do recommend them other people that I work with.

These gloves are probably one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon. They appear to be professional grade medical exam gloves, but I use them for automotive work. They are super sturdy, last for hours in harsh work environments and are resistant to many chemicals I would not expect. I compare them to the grey gloves from Costco, and I find that they are about 1.5 to 2 times better quality. (The Costco gloves are great, already.) I highly recommend these.

These are the most-durable gloves I have found for working in a machine shop, where the ability to feel fine imperfections in work is often required. Of course, a razor-sharp end mill or cutting tool will slice them open, but that is only to be expected. After using these for two years, and many hundreds of pair, I cannot ever remember getting cut or stabbed by fine metal filings when wearing them. I have just bought another 400.

The uses for these gloves are endless, from dealing with painting solvents to cleaning around the house. They are thicker than what you'll find at a drugstore or big box home improvement store. And, I think the price is competitive. Since they are nitrile, they hold up to a wide range of solvents. My favorite part of these gloves, however, is that I have no problem getting them on, even if my hands are sweaty. They're not going to tear, either, when being put on like cheaper versions. The only downside, if I can call it that, is that if you mistakenly leave them outside in the sun, they will degrade rapidly. If they're wet, this process will speed up considerably. I don't see this as an issue, though, with normal outdoor use.

This tape was recommended by my puppy's breeder. The adhesive stays fastened to the ears until it's time to change out the posts (usually 4-7 days). This is important because of the crop that my puppy has, which is a very high show crop. It is also relatively easy to remove this without an excessive amount of adhesives desolver. This is a fantastic product for this purpose if you do not want to use the glue method for ear posting.

This is a great tape for dog bandages on legs, it flexes and stays on, but does come off nicely when you want it too. I have used it on my dogs for various things, even ear taping, again the flexibility and stickiness is perfect.

I used this as the top dressing while managing a wound and infection on my horse. I used it daily for nine weeks and it worked perfectly. Once it is in place, it provides protection against moisture and dirt as well as providing a secure bandage. I now keep it on hand, just in case. I bought this tape from this exact same listing before and it was six rolls for the regular price. When I ordered it this time it showed that it was on sale. I thought "great," but when I recieved it I only got one roll. What a scam. It's not worth the shipping so I am just switching to a different company.

This may be an odd review for some. But let me to you, this is an excellent product and a must have in your medical kit.

My son unfortunately needs an ostomy surgery when he was newly born. And the bags just doesn't want to adhere well to his skin. Tried paper tape to frame it securely but it's not water proof. Tried hospital grade tape but he's allergic to it. Then I came across this tape. Never tried it nor have heard/seen it before. Thank goodness I took the chance. Unobtrusive and still handy in case of emergency. Could save a life, and it's easy to get to. The cute little backpack is not very well made in my opinion, but it has to be difficult. Getting the mask out of the bag split the bag, but it is still usable for storage. Just doesn't look as nice.

Great quality hotwater bottle, but I have my doubts about the animal print. This was much more expensive than the plain velour, but doesn't warrant the different in price.

Since it is a German hot water bottle, it deserves some stars. They can withstand boiling water, but this is not the Faschy brand I was looking for. The threading on the cap is not very smooth, so I am always worried that it won't close properly. The velour is rough and not very pleasant and definitely not worth the extra price. In the future, i will make sure that I only get Faschy (which I have been buying for myself and others for over 10 years.)

Don't get me wrong, these are quality scissors. However, the finger loops are only "large" if you're a woman with extremely small hands or you're still in middle school. For a man (especially if you have even slightly larger-than-normal hands) you run a really good chance of getting your fingers (your thumb in particular) stuck in the loops. They are TINY. I'm trying to find such a product. Heard good things about the company, however, on this company's website the label for this product says "Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable cellulose (capsule), vegetable stearate, silica."

UPDATE: Several people have commented about the website Purehealth100. My research shows that Purehealth100 is the online store front for a company called "Genesis Today". Dr. Lindsey (the man who appeared on Dr. Oz) is the founder and current owner of Genesis Today, located in Austin, Texas. This company was founded in 2004. You can also see this on his website, drlindsey.com. The website was created in 2000, so this was not a recent thing to ride the wave he created by being on Dr. Oz. Interesting thing is that the genesistoday website and purehealth100 website each have green coffee bean extract without fillers, but they have completely different labels (don't know why?). My guess is for this is due to different manufacturers. Genesis Today label says "Sourced, Formulated, Quality Tested and Distributed by Genesis Today, Inc." , the other says "Manufacture: Pure Health and SKU: PH033"

It appears to me that which ever one you choose, it will run about $52.00 per month based on 800 mg 2x a day.

I think I my body might be over sensitive to some of the ingredients in these pills but there is no mistaking the effectiveness of the green coffee extract. I took them for almost a month and lost close to 5 pounds which, trust me, is a big accomplishment for me in this time. I have had a hard time losing weight since I had my second child. My goal to start was to loose 40 lbs.

I also started taking raspberry ketones (Svetol Green Coffee Bean Extract Plus Capsules + FREE Raspberry Ketones Powder (Svetol GCBE (2 Bottles) + FREE Raspberry 50 Grams)) and have had a really good experience thus far. I had a friend who had took only the ketones and lost like 20 pounds in a little over a month. I bought this product on 05/10/12 and here it is 06/02/12 and I have lost 7.3 pounds and I ate 3 slices a pizza and a soda for dinner last night and I was surprised this morning when I got on the scale and saw that I had still lost weight. Like one of the other reviewers this product does a great job of controlling my craving for sugar. I've been drinking my coffee black and my tea w/o any sweetener at all. I do exercise. Most days I go for a brisk walk for half an hour and then ride my stationary bike for another half hour, but I do this mostly to try to control high blood pressure. Cardio is supposed to help.

I believe this product works well, but you have to take it. But 7.3 pounds in less than a month is great even though I didn't take it everyday. I'm going to take it everyday for the month of June and see what my results are.

Protective Latex Tissue Finger Cots Medium 144/box

My husband uses finger cots every day. These were the lowest price I could find on the internet, so I was concerned that perhaps they were of inferior qualiity. I only ordered one box. I have used several different types of fairly generic pregnancy tests. I have used the generic pregnancy tests found at Wal-Mart and Rite Aid, among others. One of the main issues I have with generic tests is that the lines are so faint as to be indiscernible. With one of the generic brands I ended up having to take 3 tests just to confirm that the second line was there, because the markings were so ambiguous. With First Response the lines were not only a brighter color (and therefore more conspicuous), they were much less faint. This is one of those tests in life that you want to have confidence in. Perhaps buying generic isn't the way to go. First Response also sometimes has coupons on the box that can be used at the register. Regardless of price I ended up taking 3 generic tests when I could have just taken 1 "First Response" test. Which means that financially speaking I would have done better to just buy quality the first time around.

The only reason I don't give this product 5 stars is because I prefer the plus-sign marking on other tests, to the double line marking on this one. The plus sign is just more distinctive, and harder to misconstrue. It's just personal preference.

Prestige Medical 5 1/2" Listermate Bandage Scissors

These will fit well in your scrub top chest or waist pocket. They are sharp and well made. The only reason it is not given a 5 star by me, is that the handles are a tiny bit cheaply made. But, well worth the "less than $6" they charge for them.

I was really impressed with how well they cut through bandages. I do a lot of wound care and these scissors stay sharp and will cut through about anything.

I am in nursing school and we are required to carry bandage scissors as part of our uniform. We were all issued the same style and that's also what is sold in our school's bookstore. Of course, since everybody has the same pair, they have a tendency to be "borrowed" and never returned. I bought these because I knew they would stand out and be less likely to disappear. I'm happy with that part of the purchase.

The handle does leave a little to be desired. The loops for your fingers are a little bit small and the plastic seam where they were molded is pretty rough. If you're using these for cutting bandages, you're going to be wearing gloves and really only snip here and there so the comfort is not such a big deal but, if you're buying them for other applications, they probably aren't going to be ideal to use for long periods. Also, the handle just looks kind of cheap.

I got the teal color and it doesn't look exactly the same as it appeared in the picture on my computer. The scissors in real life are a little bit brighter, which actually serves my purpose of being noticeable a little better. There is enough room on the plastic handle to put your initials or name (in small print) with a sharpie for even more identification, something that doesn't work out very well with stainless handles.

The scissors are sharp, aligned very well, and cut just as well as more expensive brands. Since the handle is plastic instead of stainless, they are more lightweight and that feels better both in your pocket and your hand. The scissors are made in Pakistan and that seems to be a step up from the standard made in China pair.

Overall, I'm pleased and would recommend them. I'm only deducting a star because of the cheap looking and feeling handle.

My mother was a nurse, and she gave me surgical scissors (didn't know they had a particular name at the time).
