MDF® ER PremierTM Stethoscope Color: Black

MDF® ER PremierTM Stethoscope Color: BlackI'm an RN working CCU. I've had mine for a year. The sound is acceptable for general physical and lung/heart sounds assessment and the tubing is long enough for my needs. I can easily hear murmurs and bruits and faint lung sounds. But the stethoscope has some design issues. The heavy weight tubing is stiff and the connection between the diaphragm/bell is too loose for my liking. This combination causes the connection between the two to twist and lose it's ability to conduct any sound. I have to adjust my grip, angle, and sometimes ear pieces in order to get a good assessment done. This really slows me down, especially if a quick assessment is necessary. It's a durable stethoscope, but it's design slows down assessments. Also, the pediatric diaphragm is difficult to remove and put back on. It takes some bending and prying to get it right. I'm switching to an easily convertible stethoscope such as ADC or Prestige. I've given it 3/5 for its sound.

Great stethoscope although heavier than littman sound quality much better. Mdf are the ones who made littman famous the they become competitors when they broke apart littman are made from aluminum and mdf from stainless steel since it is more dense than aluminum it conducts sound better so therefor the added weight i currently own both stethoscopes and prefer the mdf for sound quality

This cane isn't the greatest but it is not the worst. The "brass" ring, where the base meets the handle is chipping after a few days, but it doesn't harm the function.

Stérimar Nasal Hygiene Set of 2x100ml

Stérimar Nasal Hygiene Set of 2x100mlI love this product, it works great for my allergies. Used to use Afrin Pure Sea, it is not sold on the market anymore, this product is from the company Afrin got their product from. Been using this for over 3 years and my nasal allergies are 100% better. Super excited I can finally use this cleanse again

It is just sea water. The gas charge gets the solution where it needs to go without making a big mess. Much neater than Neti Pot and those plastic squirt bottles like Ayr. And if it is easy to use and not messy you will use it more. It has kept me from having my routine sinus infections. It has already paid for itself in avoidance of doctor copays.

Dr. Blaine's Tineacide Foot And Shoe Spray, 2-Ounce Bottle

Dr. Blaine's Tineacide Foot And Shoe Spray, 2 Ounce BottleI purchased this product together with the antifungal cream for nails to treat a 25-year old tinea infection... And it is working!!

Constance is the word. If you are constant with your treatment, you will start seeing results after a few days!

I usually get this product from another site but I think the price is better here. The fumes this spray makes when I use it really choke me, so I have to either spray it outside or hold my breath & then leave the room immediately until the smell dissipates, but otherwise this product really works at curbing foul shoe odor. The best way to use it is to spray it in new shoes to prevent odor from developing, but it also works on shoes that have already developed some odor. The noxious smell of the product isn't detectable in the shoe after it dries, but unfortunately it's really horrible during use so hold your breath.

Florida resident that battles hand and food fungus working in the garden regularly. This product has totally reversed the condition in 6 to 12 months. I now apply it as a preventative every day. Amazon ship me additional supplies automatically. Great product...

I suffered from athlete's foot my entire adult life. One thing I noticed over the years however was that when I bought new shoes, my attacks were less frequent. But as soon as I put my old shoes back on, wham! Even if I hadn't worn my old shoes in many months I could count on an attack like clockwork. I couldn't find much info on this topic or a single product in the drug stores to treat it but I KNEW something was going on in my shoes.

After years of trying one product or another on my feet (most of which actually made my condition WORSE because they left my feet damp/clammy in my shoes), a doctor gave me a free sample of Tineacide. First trials seemed positive so I bought a couple of bottles and sprayed down ALL my shoes then Hallelujah!!! I have not had a single attack and it's been over 2 years now!! The best part is that I haven't needed any more spray in 2 years as well but I'm buying some more now just to go through my shoes once again.

One final note, if you are suffering from toenail fungus you will need more help than this product unfortunately as toenail fungus is definitely an "in your toe" problem (I had this as well) and my belief is that Tineacide works best for your shoes. "Curanail" is a product I recommend for toenail fungus and/or a trip to your doctor but totally curable as well. For the first time in over 20 years I can say that I have healthy feet!!!

Want Dr. Blaine's Tineacide Foot And Shoe Spray, 2-Ounce Bottle Discount?

Not sure how effective this stuff is on toenail fungus, so far I've noticed no major improvement. However I do believe I've found a great replacement product for Pepper Spray, this stuff will totally gag you, so be very careful where you spray your shoes or toes. Seriously it could replace Pepper Spray.

07/02/13 Update: I've been using the spray every night and it does seem to help my problem. Short of going to a doctor and getting some poison pill to kill the nail fungus, keeping it in check is the next best thing. I do have to spray in another room but that's no big deal.

First Aid Only 1' X 5 Yd. Non-porous Cloth Athletic Tape Roll, 10-Count BoxesI am a tennis addict and needed some kind of athletic tape to cover up areas on my fingers that always develop blister. This tape is perfect in size and sticks well. I have been using the ones purchased locally at a drugstore, but was unable to find the 1" size. Thanks amazon for providing the options and the reviews. I am getting into the habit of reviewing comments first on amazon before I purchase anything.

We are a soccer family and use a lot of tape. These small rolls were exactly what we were looking for and the price was right. We put a couple in each soccer bag and they work great.

Nexcare Sensitive Skin Tape, 6 Count

Nexcare Sensitive Skin Tape, 6 CountCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program 3M's Nexcare Sensitive Skin Low Trauma Tape is perfect for the elderly, young children and furrier friends and family. The tape does not painfully adhere to neither hair nor sensitive skin surfaces; it has a soft, thin cloth-like feel and it peels off gently.

With easy removal comes a lesser ability to cling to areas which flex too much, but it will hold well. It will stay in place if it gets wet, but if removed wet, it's pretty much over. This is specifically made to avoid the hurt associated with ripping off medical tape, so this is an excellent option to have for situations which can exploit its purpose, especially when dressing cuts or wounds that would best be left undisturbed by excessive tug.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This tape is ideal for those with sensitive skin or for those with lots of hair. I used this to secure some dressings on one of my dogs. It removed without pulling her hair and left no sticky residue. She was sedated which probably helped since the sticking power is somewhat less than regular skin adhesives and it is not especially flexible.

This is helpful for the elderly or others sensitive to regular adhesives. It seems to work best where it is not exposed to a lot of action or bending. Recommended.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is the skin tape that they use at the hospitals which is top of the line. I have very sensitive skin so this was a blessing that it did not rip my skin when I took it off. Applies easy to troubled area-I used scissors to cut it and it did not get all stuck in the tape like so many of them do.

Good product!

I had a diabetic abscess that required dressings for almost 8 weeks. During that time I tried every tape recommended for sensitive skin. While this product is not irritation free, it is by far the least aggravating to my skin of all the products I tried. Surgeon was surprised at how well it sticks to the skin and also doesn't aggravate the skin.

Want Nexcare Sensitive Skin Tape, 6 Count Discount?

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Tape like this makes taking care of little scrapes and cuts easy: you cut off what you need, maybe use a little cotton wool to pad it (with some antibiotic cream on it), and tape it down.

It says it's for sensitive skin, and when you look at it in detail, it even says you can reposition the tape. Why you'd want to do that, I'm not sure.

Here's my beef, and maybe it goes with the turf: it doesn't stay stuck down very well. I scraped a knuckle doing some carpentry and tried the tape on it. Every time I pull on or off my work-gloves, there goes the tape.

I guess what I really want isn't something for sensitive skin. This product helped me see that what I'm really looking for is the old-fashion kind of bandage that glued down over the cut and wouldn't come off for a week, rain, shine, or in the shower the kind that might even leave some glue on your skin for a couple of days.

Seems I just got the wrong product, so if you or your kids are sensitive to bandages, and don't mind them falling off frequently as a trade off to not having irritated skin, this will be what you want.

AQUADEKS SOFTGELS 60TB

AQUADEKS SOFTGELS 60TBI have to take water soluble versions of ADEK vitamins due to having duodenal switch weight loss surgery. These are one of few products available and the company uses this fact to overcharge, IMHO. The other issue I had with the Aquadeks is that I always burp after taking it and it gives a bad taste. Other than that, it's a good product.

First Aid And Personal Care Facial Cleansers Travel Kit

First Aid And Personal Care Facial Cleansers Travel KitEverything you see comes with the bag, so for that alone, it is well worth the price. I really wanted the little bandaid kits and q-tips which will cost about half this price in the stores, so this was a good value when you include the bag. Only 4 stars because I didn't like the plastic tote... was looking for a fabric instead... but, you get what you pay for, and for storage, this is a nice little bag. I wouldn't throw it down in my suitcase though. Overall, a good buy.

I really like the bag this kit came in. It had a good zipper, holds a bunch of stuff, and should be water proof. The stuff inside is fine for a single person on a short trip or keep in the trunk of your car, that sort of thing. I needed this for a long trip through Asia and added a ton of stuff to it. I will say that the items in this kit are brand name, mine were all well within the expiration dates and that is all you can expect for under $8. Honestly, the little bag was totally worth purchase price.

Most of the items from this reseller are overstock from the old Linens n things retail stores this product is no different. This chain closed in 2008 and sold off all their inventory in 2009.

While that may be fine for cotton swabs and a plastic bag, it isn't a good idea for liquids and things like bandaids. The clean and clear facial cleanser smells rancid and I don't think anyone should use that on their face.

Also, the plastic bag included with this is massive.

The band-aid products are made in China and the first aid kit is made in Brazil.

To top it all off, none of the liquid products are sealed. Sorry save your money and buy these items (fresh) from your local drug store or Target. You don't need 5 year old facial cleanser.

Band-aid Brand Adhesive Bandages Sheer Strips, Extra Large, 10 Count

Band-aid Brand Adhesive Bandages Sheer Strips Extra Large All One Size 10-CountMy mom uses these regularly for her face and she insists they are much better quality than any store brand. She claims they stick all day long and do not hurt coming off. Nor do they irritate her skin like other adhesive bandages. They are, however, relatively expensive. Nevertheless, the "6 pack" deal here at Amazon is a good buy and much better price than I have seen anywhere else.

This updated version of the extra large band-aid is a big disappointment. The newer non-stick surface is rough on sensitive skin areas, particular if any pressure is applied such as on a foot. The older version of this band-aid was perfect with a non-stick surface that was smooth. Sometimes newer is not better. I have switched to other brands of band-aids that work better on sensitive skin (Curad, Nexcare).

I bought these to avoid the cheap Chinese made adhesive bandages. These are disappointing I'm guessing these are the same, just in a Bandaid brand box.

They are smaller than in the past, and the strip tears VERY easily. The pad is so thin I added another to get any effect. Where I used to use one of these to cover the back of my heel (new shoes rubbing and causing a sore) I had to use two and additional tape to keep them on.

I used half a box for one application tore one, two for each heel.

Sad to see the fall of what was a brand name known for its quality.

For a serious bleeding event, this product can be a life saver (my son just got back from the middle east, and he says this is in every combat pack). You only have to need it once, to realize how important it is. How much are your Kids and Grandchildren worth to you (to me, it's cheap at the price)? This goes with us everywhere.

There's no good reason not to keep these around. Anyone who has witnessed a bad bleed would be nuts not to have these in their kit. If you ever really needed one, you'd pay 10x the purchase price without a second thought.

CobanTM Self-Adherent Wrap

3M Coban Self-Adherent Wrap 1581, 1 inch x 5 yard, 5-RollsCoban is the original excellent-performance self-adherent wrap for holding gauze pads, finger splints, broken toes and so on. The big deal was that coban stuck to itself but not at all to hair, skin, scabs, etc. After the 3M patent ran out (I guess) all sorts of cheap knockoffs showed up in drug stores. These knockoffs are high priced and come unstuck. And coban disappeared from the shelves. I could not find any in my whole city of 1 million.

So I ordered way, way more than I needed, 30 rolls, for 30 dollars. It's the real stuff, works perfect. And in socks of 5 it will make great gifts for any hostess. Trust me.

My dog had surgery on his leg, and the dressing need to be changed several times a day. This product is elastic and sticks to itself (but not to skin/hair/clothing/pads) so it is very useful to wrap and hold a bandage or surgical pad in place. After wrapping, you'd want to fasten the end with medical tape (waterproof tape) to keep it from unwrapping, but there's no need to use tape to fasten the wrap directly to the skin.

This is a nice product to purchase in bulk for wound care and recovery.

Note, because it sticks to itself, it can't really be reused like an Ace bandage.

When I hurt my foot a couple of years ago my orthodics doctor would wrap my foot in these and would give me a supply. After running out I've tried in vain to look for the same wrap but none of the pharmacies carried it. I've worn others but none had the comfort that these give. I'm so glad Amazon had these. I'm definitely buying these again!

My foot doctor recommended I use this bandage after my toe surgery to wrap my toes. I now call it the 'magic bandage', my toes feel such tremendous relief once I wrap them in the morning and the remainder of the way, I do not know what I would do without them. It helps reduce the swelling and keeps my toes in place and makes them more comfortable for normal movement. Would recommend to anyone needing a secure and strong bandage! ADC Berman Oral airway kit 6 sizes in poly bag

ADC Berman Oral airway kit 6 sizes in poly bagGreat set of OPAs. They're nice and smoothsomething that will matter more to the patient more than myself, but they didn't require any sanding or anything like that (a situation that presented itself to another medic I know). The only drawback is that it doesn't come with the plastic case in the picture, instead each one is individually wrapped.

No, they're not sterileand let's face it, there's no need for them to be anyway.

I'd recommend them for a trauma bag! Just hope I never have to use the small pink one.

Just be aware that they do not come in a case if that is important to you. I ordered these airways based on other reviews and the picture that said they come in a storage case. Evidently the manufacturer stopped providing the case. Otherwise, and excellent buy.

It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle

It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle, Tall/SmallAs a Physical Therapist, I knew I would need some extra support to stay on my feet helping patients. That was 4 pregnancies and 2 garments ago. Each of my Cradles have been loaned to friends, and wear well through 3 pregnancies!

Once I hit 4 months pregnant, I really appreciate the support it gives me. Other, smaller straps just didn't contain my tummy, and I like that I can just slide it up or down as my activity requires. Occasionally I get impatient with the shoulder straps, but when I am REALLY big (after 30wks) the straps are indispensible.

My doctor told me to buy this because my back pain was so bad by my 3rd month that I couldn't stand upright without a pinching pain in my lower back. Within two days my back pain was at a tolerable level, and now I am even exercising! It is a little difficult to get on, and it shows with ALL of my maternity clothing, but it is worth it. I tightened two straps with safety pins so it is a lot more comfortable for my growing belly. This is the exact invention that I needed. With a toddler running around I couldn't be laying in bed all day. If I have any more children, I will definetly use this.

Buy It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle Now

We purchased this for my father in law who has a huge stomach hernia and is unable to have surgery. A regular hernia belt would not work with his bad back so we thought we would try this because of the straps and it works great!!!! I would highly recommend this to any pregnant person as well as anyone with our type of problem!!!

Around the 22 week mark of my twin pregnancy, I knew I needed some support for my ever-growing uterus. I found out about the Prenatal Cradle through a book on twins. I had tried several maternity belts out before & had to return them, as they did not provide enough support.

I found it easy to adjust to & comfortable to wear.

I am now almost 32 weeks pregnant, and I still wear my Prenatal Cradle Best Cradle every single day. If I don't wear it, I have more frequent contractions & both my belly and back hurt.

Want It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle Discount?

Oh how I wish I had known about this a month ago! This is my new favorite pregnancy item I just got it at 38 weeks after having pain from a torn abdominal muscle, about three inches across just to my right of center, due to the weight of my bundle-of-joy-to-be, and I now have much less pain from the muscle pulling. It's awesome and surprisingly comfortable! I wonder if I had started using it earlier if I could have prevented the problem in the first place, but I'll try that out next time. I'm quite small and only gained about 25lbs, but the force from how concentrated the weight gain has been put a lot of strain on those muscles. The belts might work just as well if back pain is your issue, but for me, I wanted the straps to give added "upward" support.

A couple of things that keep this from being 5 stars despite the comfort and benefits the elastic material is quite itchy and the whole apparatus needs to be worn over a layer of clothing (and then, of course, under another). The straps are especially itchy and would benefit from a softer backing. But, once over a tank, it's relatively comfortable.

The second issue is that it would be nice if the straps were adjustable or detachable. It shows under a lot of shirts because the cross in the front makes the straps come close to my neck. It would be nice to be able to pull those over to the outside old man suspender style so that I could make a choice based on my clothing but still keep the support. Or, the belt might be enough early on, so it could work to have them be detachable. Maybe after this one is born, I'll make some adjustments with my sewing machine to make that an option : )

But, all in all, this is a great product I would highly recommend.

AMK - Quikclot Sport Pack

Quikclot Sport Brand Advanced Clotting Sponge ,Stop Bleeding Fast, 50 Gram PackageWhen a fellow backpacker slipped while carrying his pack saw, he cut his upper thigh pretty badly. Although no major vessels were involved, the wound bled profusely. This QuikClot product was applied to the wound with direct pressure and then bound in place. While the wound was not extraordinarily severe, the injured man was quite upset by the amount of blood he appeared to be losing prior to application of the dressing. Once the QuikClot product was in place and a thick sterile pad secured over it, only a small amount of blood was visible. This added tremendously to reassure the injured man that he was not in great danger from bleeding. Others in our party assisted the man back to the trail head and he was taken to a local hospital where the laceration was sutured.

This product is an absolute 'must have' item in any aid kit for people working or enjoying the out of doors in locations distant from immediate medical care. This order was a replacement for the product I used. As an aside recommendation, QuikClot Sport is very effective when used in conjunction with an 'Israeli-style' combat dressing (easily applied by one person or the injured victim).

This review is based on 1st hand experience (unfortunately).

I awoke one morning to a frantic knock on the bathroom door saying someone cut their finger badly. I hustled out of the shower & went down to the kitchen to see what was going on. To my surprise, it wasn't a cut -but rather an amputation of 1 & 1/2 finger tips. A kitchen towel was wrapped around the hand, but the blood was easily soaking the towel & running down their arm. I ran to get a pack that was in my gun bag & a second one in my diaper bag. By the time I got back (which wasn't more than a minute or so) the kitchen towel had been swapped out & a huge wad of gauze bandage was now dripping red. I told the victim to press the quikclot on & don't remove it for any reason. Within 30 seconds, the bleeding had stopped... period. There was no more bleeding until we got to the ER & the quikclot was removed by the doctor. At that point, it bled profusely again because the cut had knicked an artery.

Needless to say, I'm impressed by this product & have urged everyone I know to keep a few around! I now keep one in every vehicle, first aid kit & "high risk" activity bag.

My only complaints: they are rather pricey (for "what ifs") & a single small pack is really not enough. The small size really limits the types & sizes of injuries that the quikclot can be applied to.

All in all -every household should have at least a couple on hand. For the price of a few beers or coffees, you could save someone's life. Buy it.

Quick clot is a natural enzyme that starts the blod clotting process in the body. Our bodies have small amounts of it that are there naturally, except for hemophiliacs. Quick clot is simply concentrated to a high level like vitamin supplements.

The US Army & Marines have chosen quick clot to stop battlefield bleeding and loss of blood volume and pressure. If it's good enough for the government, and been extensively tested by them then its ready to go for me. It's a natural product that does the job without nasty chemicals.

You should also have a roll of gauze to go with the quick clot to hold it in place. Pressure is an important part of stopping bleeding but all you get in the package is a 5x5" square that is embedded with crystals of the quick clot agent once they get bloody and wet they go to work right away promoting clotting. You need gause to hold the quick clot in place over the wound especially during the first 10 minutes (the clot will form in 5 minutes based on medical testing on the femeral artery being sliced open to insert a port to run a catheter up to the heart. The quick clot is put over the hole in the artery and held in place for 5 minutes, then removed with a nice clot formed over the artery. Keep in mind the arteries have the higher pressure and are harder to stop bleeding because they are high pressure blood vessels.

Finally, it's been shown that an individual can apply and secure a quick clot bandage by themselves, effectively self-treating a major blead without outside help. That's impressive, and that's why the quick clot and the gause roll are the first two items in my medical kit when I am out in no mands land.

It comes in 25g and 50g sizes, the 50g is a better deal and bigger. Get this one.

Quick clot is essentially a mineral powder. First gen of product caused too much burning and got gravely mess in wounds that could cause clots (like intravascular bad ones.) But now they've solved those problems (so that's good) by reducing the heat and putting it in a tea bag... Problem is it doesn't seem to work very well on big bleeds, and the bag kinda limits the use. You have to get the bag onto the actual wound, if you have an avulsed scalp lac it's hard to pack it all the way up there, and if you open the bag (not recommended) the gravely stuff will be imbedded in the wound. Plus if I use this on myself (possible) then I have to really stuff the tea bag (ouch) into a fresh wound. I still have a couple lying around, they're cheap and plentiful and we still have them at work but they're not my first go-to item (even as last resort.)

Since I've used a couple of the Chitosan based products with better results. IMHO I think studies show they have better results, seem to have the mechanism of action that I think is better and doesn't have the clots or gravel issue.

Also I tend to go a bigger size. We've stocked one of these sponges in a kit for awhile and they seem too small for really big stuff and un-needed for small stuff.

So whatever you buy (quick clot or other) think of this... If the cut is small enough for the littlest version of the product to treat did it need it anyway? And will that littlest bag of hemostatic work on the biggest thing you really need it for?

(And again just imho, I stock 2 packets of 30g Cellox powder in my hip bag. After seeing accidents like Circ-saw to leg, skill saw to arms or hands, axe slipped into foot, knife wounds both slashing and penetrating, guardrail at speed to abdomen and leg, car window through hand and arm, fall through glass and arterial bleeds to arms, chainsaw injury etc... I want my stuff big, fast and easy; a CAT tourniquet, a couple rolled gauze, a big packet of hemostatic (either rolled gauze or powder), and tape.)
