Prestige Medical Supplies 'Two Sided Stethoscope ID Tag'

Prestige Medical Supplies 'Two Sided Stethoscope ID Tag'

Like the other review, the glue does not hold well at all. Every time I take my stethoscope out of my bag the tag has fallen off of it. Annoying. I will have to put some super glue in there to keep it together.

Recieved the product and installed it. I knew from the beginning that the two sided tape would not hold. Good product after a little "super glue"

I probably would of bought a different product. It does not stick like it is supposed to and regularly falls off my stethoscope.

When I upgraded to a cardiology stethoscope I purchased these since even among Medical Assistants they disappear. The stickey pad doesn't hold the two sides together, not even with super glue! I may have gotten free shipping but this is the worst buy off of Amazon I have ever made!

**This review was written by my daughter, who purchased this item.

I hesitated to purchase this because of the price and now wish I hadn't. The adhesive doesn't hold the pieces together. Will probably use a stronger glue and try to make it work. I don't recommend this tag.

Electrolyte Tablets - 250 per box

Electrolyte Tablets - 250 per boxThese use to be standard issue to just about everyone involved in outdoor sports and activities. More than just a "salt tablet" these Electrolyte tablets are just what you need for to prevent, or treat, cramping and other issues related to strenuous activity. It's like drinking a sports drink without all the sugar, other carbs, and crap you don't need. Also, a great electrolyte treatment for those vomiting or with diarrhea that could be harmed by the consumption of sugary sports drinks. A staple in all my first aid kits.

Not only do I love the color of these band-aids, but they are the best that I have ever used. I only buy the fabric ones because they are the only ones that last more than an hour... Before I was spending $6 on Band-Aid brand fabric band-aids, but it only came with 20 or 25, whereas this comes with 100 for a few bucks more! GREAT BUY!!!! And the metal detectable foil works! But don't worry it won't set off any detectors at stores though.

3M Cavilon Moisturizing Hand Lotion 9205, 16 oz. (Pack of 12)

3M Cavilon Moisturizing Hand Lotion 9205, 16 oz. I'm a doctor who washes his hands many many times a day at work. Recently, the birth of our daughter means that I now continue that pattern at home as well. Alcohol hand sanitizers are used quite often, but soap and water are needed at least 15-20 times a day and this can be very tough on your hands. I've tried all manner of hand moisturizers. Most lotions aren't too effective, and the intensive treatment options are all too greasy, and make you useless for things that require gripping objects. The Cavilon lotion works well. I first used it at work, because our hospital began supplying it. Simply stated, it moisturizes without being too greasy, and doesn't have a heavy scent. I like it enough that I bought a bunch for home my wife loves it!

J R Watkins Natural Pain Relieving Liniment Spray

Watkins Liniment Pain Relief Spray 4 fl ozFor someone who can't take any type of oral pain reliever, this product is a welcomed find. I first bought it at a trade show for twice the price. Glad I found it on Amazon. It is well worth it. The only way I can describe it is BenGay in a spray bottle. Hope it serves you well.

I have back pain, every day. This spray helps relieve the back pain. I have to reapply once every 2~ hours, but once I apply the spray, the pain is still there, but it's definitely not as debilitating as it was before. I bought two bottles and recommend it to all of my friends with back pain.

First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream 6.8 oz

First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream 6.8 ozMy skin is extremely sensitive, and even a new razor can rip up my skin pretty easily and keep it red for over a day. This shave cream is great for keeping my legs in one piece, and it seems to protect the skin enough that I can even start to use a cheaper shave cream (on occasion) without my legs being as greatly damaged. Yay!

This is probably the best shaving cream I've ever used. It is frangrance-free, creamy and smooth, allowing you to get an incredibly close shave without any dryness or irritation and leaves your skin soft, smooth, and nicely moisturized. A little goes a long way too, so the tube lasts a good while. I don't think I'll ever be able to use another shaving cream after trying this one (yes, it's THAT good)! I just wish it were less expensive. This stuff is excellent, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone, A+!

Fautless Goodhealth Combination Douche, Enema, and Water Bottle System (2-Quart Capacity)

Fautless Goodhealth Combination Douche, Enema, and Water Bottle SystemThis product seems to have one major design flaw. Instead of having the douche or enema pipe as one solid piece that inserts into the tubing, there is a single pipe adapter that is placed onto the end of the tubing. This is where pipes are screwed into. The threads on the pipes fit loosely into the adapter. Since there are only a couple of threads, there is really no way to over tighten the pipe to get it to stay on better. It seems the slightest water pressure is enough to loosen the connection. This is very annoying to say the least. I ended up replacing this unit with one that did not use an adapter.

Ummmm, this works well, seems well constructed. No problem with leaks or anything like that good deal for the price. I have been on a bit of a health trip and this has come in handy...remember to replenish your friendly bacteria. My colon is happier now ;o)

Great buy.

It is what this type of product has always been, a great way to irrigate a woman's organs or the hind parts. I recommend using distilled water at room temperature or filtered boiled water that you will keep on hand for a flushing..don't use soaps and other things as they can disturb one's ph balance.. Rinse thoroughly (you can use soap then and allow to hand and air dry so it wont mildew and this will last for years.

Now that I have had this bag for awhile I have come to realize that the tubing is not as durable as it used to be. The bag is still a quality product, but it's like nobody knows how to make good tubing anymore. They all crack within 6 months. They used to last for years. Maybe they are now manufactured that way on purpose so that people are forced to have to buy another much sooner than before. A profit motive. Who knows?

New-Skin Liquid Bandage, First Aid Liquid Antiseptic, 1-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4)

New-Skin Liquid Bandage, First Aid Liquid Antiseptic, 1-Ounce BottlesI used this product after receiving a number of small cuts on my hand, and I have to agree with the negative reviews. Having used both Nexcare and Band-Aid liquid bandages, both of which last days after application, I expected New Skin to perform similarly. I bought it because neither Nexcare nor Band-Aid were in stock at my local pharmacy. Applying New Skin stings, unlike the other two products, but that was to be expected given the antiseptic it contains. What was not expected, however, was having to reapply the product several times a day. After washing your hands a couple of times, New Skin begins to peel-off, at which point the application is no longer waterproof and needs to be peeled off completely and reapplied. While it has a strong odor, I wouldn't stop using New Skin simply for that, but the short duration of the seal will keep me from ever using it again as long as another band of liquid bandage is available.

I have skin cracks on my thumbs from dry skin. I have used the Band-aid liquid bandage, Nexcare and New skin. Out of all three of these products, New Skin is the worst. It smells awful, really strong, and it does not last two seconds on my skin. I would not buy this product again. I am actually about to throw the new bottle away. Please try the Nexcare product first. The Band-aid product is the best but you have to use applicators which you run out of before the product is gone.

I've covered some sizable cuts with this stuff. When you have a big open cut, or even a razer cut, you don't want to just lock out air from it. That can actually be detrimental if you are cutting off air from bacteria, an infection can be caused instead of prevented. For that reason I would not use a liquid bandage without a disinfectant. It is too air-tight of a seal. Some of the more permanent liquid bandages are too permanent. All I want to be able to do is disinfect the wound, get it to dry out, then let it air out and heal naturally.

I don't want a 4 day seal of plastic imbedded in my wound.

New skin also has a long shelf life. It doesn't dry out. I've had one bottle for about 10 years and covered dozens of cuts with it.

If you are looking for something that does not sting or that you can paint it on and forget this is not going to be the right product for you.

New-skin is meant to be used on smaller areas and re-applied through out the day. It does have a strong smell similar to nail polish but the smell does dissipate.

As a Massage Therapist my hands are very important. I am both accident prone and a cat owner so small scratches and abrasions on my fingers and hands are an everyday reality.

New-skin helps protect me and everyone I come into contact from possible infection. I re-apply it after I wash my hands between each massage. The new-skin does stay on through out the hour session even with use of lotion. At the end of the day I can remove the dried 'bandaid' and let the area breath.

New-skin works for what I need it to: saving me from having to wear a traditional bandaid and gloves, to protect it, when I have an area of broken skin.

I have also used New-skin on my feet when new shoes rubbed my skin raw. That did sting quite a bit but after the application dried it protected the area and there was no pain.

The only real downside to this product is it doesn't work so well with freely bleeding areas. Usually a little tissue over the area to help slow the bleeding is enough to do the job.

Bacitracin Zinc Ointment, USP - 4 Oz Tube - Fougera - Tube

Bacitracin Zinc Ointment, USP - 4 Oz Tube - Fougera - TubeI occasionally get very large and infected pimples that last for days and nothing seems to help. Well I decided to try some Bacitracin on one that was starting to do the same as so many in the past. I put it on as soon as I got home from work, then re-applied again before bed. When I woke up the next morning, it was barely visible and the swelling was gone. It did it's job.

Again, this was not typical acne, being in my mid 40's, pretty much any single pimple I get turns into a big bright red infected mess for days. Glad I tried it for this reason.

I ran out of the small tube of this for our baby and didn't want to brave the winter weather to go to the drugstore for another tube. Decided to take a look on amazon to see if they carried it and lo and behold they do. The product came in a timely manner and was a great price. I got a big tube that should last a good long time. It is a good product to have around the house for rowdy kids, clumsy husband, and careless wives.

This is the best ointment I've ever used. It's excellent for scars, burns, even as a face moiturizer. This ointment was used in the hospital on my husband's face when he received carpet burns after falling on the floor from a mild stroke. His face was burned and scarred badly. However, the nurses applied this ointment nightly and the scars disappeard. I also used it on an old scar which was on my knee and it completely disappeared after a few applications. Therefore, I would highly recommend this product to everyone.

This is a clear thick gel, it works, has no smell, no sting, and the only thing that's odd about it is the ingredients list is different on the box from what's on the tube. Maybe they changed the formula? I bought it at a local store, and will be purchasing it regularly now. In the past several years I've noticed neosporin/bacitracin type stuff doesn't work at all, and I'm glad there's something that works finally. I was always after my doctor to give me Silver Sulfadene cream and was using that until I ran out. This might work on a similar principle. I hope it never stops working.

Abreva Abreva Cold Sore/Fever Blister Treatment

Abreva Cold Sore/Fever Blister Treatment, .07-Ounce TubeI hate cold sores. I HATE them. I hate them with such unbridled fury and passion that if I were to be judged at the time of my death, and the subject of my blistering hatred came up(no pun intended), Heaven wouldn't want me, and Hell would just plain fear me. But after so many years of putting up with this plague, there is a solution.

I usually get fever sores(cold sores) about 8-10 times a year. Usually every 2 months, I get a new outbreak around my lips. It could be a minor outbreak, with a simple little bump on the upper or lower lip, or a grotesque outbreak cluster of about 4-7 sores at once. Usually, these sores last 1-2 weeks, sometimes longer. The day I discovered Abreva, that all changed.

As it states, Abreva cuts down the duration of cold sores quite dramatically. If you manage to detect a cold sore as it just begins to form (usually indicated by a burning or tingling sensation on the lip area), application of Abreva will possibly event prevent the outbreak entirely. Upon a breakout of sores, I find that consistent application cuts the duration of sores from 1-2 weeks to a mere 1-3 days! Don't beleive the utterly ridiculous accusations that Abreva is a placebo...this stuff works, and it works well.

Aside from cutting down the duration of the sore, Abreva also releives any burning and itching you may get from them, so after a while you may not even realize that they're there. The cream is comfortable, and it doesn't sting, burn or itch after application. Though the white cream leaves a film after application, if you rub it in strongly the film disappears. Though the box recommends 4 applications a day, I usually double that to 8, and up to 10 times a day for those particularly brutal outbreaks.

There are some disadvantages to Abreva, and perhaps the greatest of all: the price!

Amazon.com, bless them, has this item listed at 13.99...try finding Abreva at that price anywhere else and you're in for a shocker...it usually goes for $18 on average, and we're talking a VERY small tube here. Don't let the size of the box fool you, the actual tube is less than half the size of my pinky finger! So in short, the cream is a marvel, but the price is simply outrageous. If you are plagued with cold sores on a routine basis, then its worth the price. If not, then I can't justify spending $18 on Abreva if you only get cold sores once in a blue moon. But like I said, thank you Amazon for the much cheaper price!

Another disadvantage is that the tube tends to leak. Upon opening the tube for the first time, the cream tends to stat pushing itself out. When you open the tube for next use, you may find that alot of the cream has been squished into the cap, and that more of it will push out immediately upon the cap being removed. This leads to a lot of waste of the product.

Another disadvantage is that the cream is virtually ineffective at treating cold sores that appear on the underside of the lip closer to the inside of your mouth, mainly because you'll end up inadvertantly licking the cream off or it will get washed away by your saliva.

Finally, the cream dries your lips up quite alot...I would recommend using chapstick to moisturize your lips while using Abreva, because they will become very dry and chapped with continued usage.

Overall, Abreva is one of the greatest things to happen to us cold sore slaves ever. Herpicin-L is utterly useless, Campophenique does little more than burn, dry out and taste awful, and chapstick only exacerbates the sore. Abreva is the way to go. If you can justify shelling out the cash for Abreva, then by all means, do it. Those of us that get multiple outbreaks a year will love it. Others who rarely get them needn't apply, unless the breakout is particularly brutal.

Abreva helped me on several occasions. I think it is a good product. It does not work as well on my wife. Since my wife has more frequent (and severe) outbreaks than I do, we have done quite a bit of product testing. Here is what we found:

First, sun exposure is her #1 trigger for an outbreak. Lip balm with SPF 15 has SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the number of outbreaks. Chapped lips also trigger an outbreak, so a quality lip balm (other than Carmex) again works well.

Second, there is a product called Viroxyn that works better than Abreva. The active ingredient is .13% benzalkonium chloride. The same active ingredient is also found in Bactine. Viroxyn is $10 per dose, and generic versions of Bactine are very inexpensive. Both my wife and I have used Bactine for our last couple of outbreaks, and we believe we have found the next-best thing to a cure. If you have success with Abreva, then you know that catching the cold sore early in its development is key. Same goes for our Bactine treatment. At first tingle, we saturate a q-tip with Bactine and rub the spot firmly for about 2 minutes. Repeat 4-6 times the first day. We find that the growth stops quickly, and the remaining (tiny) sore heals in a couple of days. If we catch it fast enough, it doesn't even scab over. I am not a doctor, and I am not qualified to give medical advice. I am sharing my personal experience in hopes that you can also find a way to reduce the pain and embarrasment from cold sores. Always follow label instructions for OTC medications.

Psst! Let me tell you a secret. I've been plagued with cold sores for perhaps forty years. I've never kept a detailed record, but it seems one has appeared on a semi-periodic basis every three to six months or so. (When I lived in the South Mississippi, actually for 15 months, I was curiously unafflicted for the entire time. Perhaps it was the diet of spinach greens, grits, fried chicken and Moon Pies.) I've tried everything. Applying hot poultices of puréed whale blubber and the rattles from two-headed rattlesnakes. Dancing naked under a full moon belting out the theme song to "Green Acres". Consulting shifty-eyed herbalists in refuse-strewn back alleys from Cairo to Lhassa. Sacrificing virgins. But, nothing has had the slightest therapeutic effect until ABREVA.

After forking over Big Bucks the first time for a teensy-weensy tube, it was a shattering self-revelation to consider how desperate I'd become. But, outside of that rip-roaring good time I once enjoyed in that flyblown Tripoli hotel room, it's the best money I've ever spent.

The key to using ABREVA is to get it on the site of the embryonic blemish as soon as you can, and ideally when you first feel that special tingle that screams, "You'd be better off with leprosy!" Without even excusing yourself to visit the loo, apply it during that power business lunch if you have to. In my experience over the last year and a half, the ointment stops cold the development of the blister. It's effective stuff.

Now, I realize that my endorsement here is purely anecdotal and not based on any scientific study I've done on a pork-barrel government grant. But, hey, what have you got to lose? Especially if you're discovering, as I did, that two-headed rattlesnakes are becoming easier to find than virgins, and those Third World back alleys are being bulldozed for McDonald's franchises.

I am a dentist who sees a lot of people with cold sores, which is reactivation of the Herpes virus. The cold sore is the virus replicating usually as a result of some sort of stress that decreases one's the immune system.

Abbreva has been shown in clinical studies to be effective, but the key with this treatment or any other for that matter is to start when you first feel the tingling of another cold sore coming on. If you wait and the cold sore erupts, virtually nothing will relieve it except time and your own immune response. So start applying Abbreva immediately for the best chance to limit the development of the cold sore.

Your dentist or doctor can prescribe anti-virals in either a topical form or a tablet form for severe cold sore cases, but once again, if it is not started immediately, the cold sore will develop and stay with you for 10 days or so. Ask for Zovirax or Denavir.

Always use a lip balm with sunscreen and too much sunlight can trigger a cold sore.

Abbreva is a good product. As with any product, it will not work in everyone who tries it but it is certainly worth a try.

The abreva product says for best results, begin using at the first sign of your oncoming coldsore. Well, I was one of the unlucky coldsore victoms who didn't catch onto the tingling warning sign soon enough. In a desperate attempt to at least sooth my new sore, itchy little pal, I started applying the Abreva every hour it seemed. At first i thought it was not doing me any good, but i kept on applying. Wow, does it work! My coldsores usually last about a week before starting to go away. Here i am...3 days later, and its already starting to heal! It didn't help ease my symptoms right away, but it really has helped to speed up the healing time.

Carex Carex 26 Inch Ez Grabber Reaching Aid

Carex 26 Inch EZ Grabber Reaching Aid - colors may varyA friend got me this grabber and I've been using it in my home for over a year. I am in a powerchair and cannot bend and reach for things on the floor or in deep places. So this has become a necessary extension of my arms. I use it to get spray cans and cleaning supplies from under the sink. If the suction cups can get around it, I can grab it, and have dropped nothing so far. It pulls clothes out of my dryer. It picks up papers and books if I drop them on the floor. I have dogs that play with stuffed toys -at the end of the day, I go around and pick up all of their toys to put away. I was even able to pick up a quarter when I dropped it and it rolled under a kitchen chair. I'm VERY pleased with this product.

When you are disabled or need some assistance in reaching an item, a grabber is the answer. There are so many to choose from, and just because it's a good price does not mean good quality.

The Carex grabber is the best one I have purchased in my seven years of requiring a grabber.

Quality in every aspect.......material, assembly, etc. Some grabbers have a poor ability to grasp an item, not the case here. I have this one in my bathroom and it hangs outside my shower. If I drop something while showering I can feel secure that my grabber will not slip out of my hand and it will pick up the item.

I purchased a second one for my SUV.....drop your keys while entering your vehicle and you'll know why.

On a windy day when the breeze pulls my door away, there is no need to lean out and reach......use my grabber and safely close my door.

You may find a cheaper price .......but what you get is the same thing....cheap.
