I have tried almost everything for my plantar fasciitis. I even got shots in my heels but the pain came back in about a month. My husband thought I should try this so after a particularly grueling trip to the supermarket I gave in and ordered it. Honestly, I thought I would walk with a limp forever.We actually both bought the tape but he bought the original version. So we had a perfect opportunity to test them both. The pro is hands down the better. The adhesive lasts longer and holds better. Pro lasted about 3 days as opposed to the original that was peeling off the same night we applied it. The pro also doesn't have the cut down the middle which IMO makes for much easier application around the foot.
The fabric it's made of is also different I like the more sporty look of the pro just for design purposes. We got both rolls in black but the pro looks nicer and is almost like athletic spandex.
All in all... Put the extra bucks and be able to stand on my feet when I get out of bed in the morning? I'll take that.
I checked it the next morning when I woke up, and it seemed fine. All morning it was fine till I went to my noon yoga class, and as soon as some sweat hit it, it peeled off again. Not to mention that the tape on the foot pad starting peeling back as well. I was so mad! I did the same taping with the black tape and didn't have this issue, but with the pink, every tape I do only lasts a day before it starts peeling off. What a waste of money!! Didn't even last through a shower for a General Elbow tape I did either.
I really don't know if I was to risk out on losing $15 more dollars to try a different color, as I want to use something other than black tape, obviously they make other colors and I would like to use them. I still have over half a roll left of the pink tape, don't even know if I will bother to use it after the blunders with previous apps.

I first got KT tape because I had severe pain in the ball of my foot. I work as a PE teacher so taking a rest and staying off my feet wasn't really an option. I did all the usual things, new shoes, ice, NSAIDs and limiting my activities outside of work and nothing worked. I didn't want to get custom orthotics because of the cost so I thought I would give the tape a try. I had relief from the first time using it. I did have some trouble with it staying on and sometimes it seemed to give more relief than others. But once I learned how to apply the tape properly and with more experience I get total relief when I wear it. I have also used it for shoulder and knee pain with equally miraculous results. I have recommended it to friends and relatives which have all reported positive results. It's not just for athletes, my 77 yo mother who suffers from arthritis gets relief from her knee pain. The company has several YouTube videos with directions on how to apply it for your specific injury. Get the "pro" version. It stays on for the 5-7 days that the company claims. I've had it where I could have left it on longer but as I primarily wear it on my feet it starts to get a little dirty and dare i say stinky . I found that it will stay on better or worse depending on where you are using it so you may get different results. I clean my skin with alcohol after I've taken my morning shower and try to apply at least 30 minutes before my activity. I found that it stays longer when I do that. I also trim any small end pieces that start to roll up after a few days. I have never written a review before this but felt compelled to write this one because I feel so strongly about this product. This tape caused me an allergic reaction on my skin. I liked the tape but I couldn't wear it for more than an hour after which I started feeling a burning sensation that I had to take it off. the skin underneath the tape looked like as if it was burned. OK, you know you shouldn't be working that injured body part, but you're going to do it anyway, so this is YOUR product. Fine online instructional video explaining different strategies for different limbs, shoulders, etc. For me, runner's knee. It provides firm support while I'm exercising without being bulky. I've used the flesh colored, the lime green colored, and the black strips and find that the quality is not consistent between the supposedly identical products, both in terms of firmness of elastic response, level of adhesion, and skin irritation from the adhesive. Of the three, the black is noticeably firmer and longer-lasting, and demonstrates more waterproof-ness (showering, tho I didn't swim). The salesperson at a running shop said she wraps her feet before a race, which sounds like a fantastic idea if my knee recovers enough to allow me to compete again.

My first purchase of this type product. I was so pleased after receiving and using overnight, I bought a second one the next day. Haven't used with heat, only cold and recommend using the ice packs you probably already have in your freezer. The included pack freezes too rigid if frozen for many hours/overnight. The instructions CLEARLY STATE to freeze for only 1 hr., (probably as instructed by the manufacturers legal department) so in today's litigious society, you can't fault the maker. Just use your own judgment if you're the type who takes responsibility for your own actions, and this product should work for you just fine.Everything is solid. Quality rubber (not plastic) pump and hose. Valve performs flawlessly after over a month's use. Velcro enclosures do a most excellent job. Just a great product IMO. I have also used it without gel pack "in the field" mowing lawns (that's what I do) when I've woken up dragging my leg due to knee pain. In that app, it does add limited support, although I know when I'm in that condition, I shouldn't even be out of bed. But when the work day is done, it's shower, ice pack compressed on the knee, a few cocktails... and I'm good to go in a day or three due mainly to back problems but now with the added pain of a knee problem. Great product though.

This is great quality tape. I can't find tan tape anywhere near my home, I had a spot removed at the dermotologist and she asked me to keep tape on the spot for 2+ months and use care not to burn the area and we live in central Florida so I keep it covered all the time. This tape is heavy, sticks well and blends in whth skin to not look so obvious.I tried a brand other than nexcare, and it was all I could find locally so it was white, but it didn't stick well, was thin and stuck out like a sore thumb.

Besides it's a very good read.
Then after fundamental philosophy and principles, when you are first starting out as a lay homeopath for yourself or your family, you need a prescribing guide. The one I most commonly recommend is Homeopathic Self-Care by Robert Ullman, ND, and Judith Reichenberg-Ullman, ND (Homeopathic Self-Care: The Quick & Easy Guide for the Whole Family). Many people like The Complete Homeopathy Handbook by Miranda Castro (The Complete Homeopathy Handbook: Safe and Effective Ways to Treat Fevers, Coughs, Colds and Sore Throats, Childhood Ailments, Food Poisoning, Flu, and a Wide Range of Everyday Complaints). Both books are good, all authors very well qualified, I just prefer the layout of the Ullman book. If I were just beginning, I would probably purchase both and see which one worked best for me; they are quite inexpensive.
This kit is a very good value. $55/18 bottles = $3.05 per bottle. Most health-food stores in the US have individual remedies currently retailing between $5 and $12, or so. From the packaging, I am guessing this remedy is produced by Helios Homoeopathic Pharmacy, if so, there's no better or more reputable supplier.
I have a couple of complaints about this kit. The first complaint is that it's too small. 18 remedies are not really enough, even for common self-care. For instance, the book Homeopathic Self-Care discusses over 50 different remedies. But you have to start somewhere and most people start by getting a book and then going down to the health-food store and buying a remedy or two. This is 18 times better than one and much, much cheaper than acquiring your pharmacy one remedy at a time! By the way, the remedies in this kit are selected specifically for treating accidents and emergencies which changes the remedy inventory somewhat from an average self-care kit, but still my complaint about it being too small stands.
My other complaint, perhaps it would be more accurate to say "my other concern" is that the remedies in this kit are 200c potency, which may be because this is an accident and emergency kit. But still, 200c or even 200x is bordering on a potency that only a professional or very well educated lay homeopath should use. If that's not you, please choose to get a kit in potencies no higher than 30c potency. Other common potencies safer for newbies to use are 6x, 6c, 12x, 12c, 30x, and of course 30c.; there are other potencies available, especially outside of the USA, that might differ, but as long as you stay at or below 30 you will be in safer territory to begin your practice of homeopathic self-care. Here's a couple of other kit options from this same seller in the same line (Helios, I assume) 18 Remedy Homeopathy Kit and even better 36 remedies 36 Remedy Homeopathy Kit. Other remedy manufacturers, pharmacies and brands make similar kits too, some are available retail and may also be available here on Amazon. It is, however, unusual to find Helios remedies available in the US and I highly recommend them.
Oh, and one more thing. You don't have to believe in homeopathy for it to work as long as you use it according to its principles. Most internet discussions about homeopathy are very polarized either for or against; you can see that evidenced in the reviews of this very product. Another example is that Professional Homeopaths consider Wikipedia's entry on homeopathy very biased against and have tried over and over for many years to edit it to something more balanced, but editing on the homeopathy entry is not allowed by The-Powers-That-Be behind the scenes at Wikipedia. My recommendation is to get a little bit of education on the way to use homeopathy, by homeopathy proponents obviously, and then try a few times to treat a few different acute dis-eases and see what you think for yourself.

OK, this has Selenium Sulfide 1% and works great! But the smell for me is unbearable! It smells like menthol cigerettes.Here is an alternative: The Selsun Blue Medicated Dandruff Shampoo, Moisturizing with the green cap. It has the same amount of anti-dandruff Selenium Sulfide 1%, yet doesn't smell that bad because the menthol isn't in there. The green cap smells great and clean.
Unless you want your hair to have a strong smell of menthol, I highly recommend going with the moisturizing Selsun Blue(green cap) first. If the green cap doesn't work, go to your dermatologists and get a prescription.

Hello, male, 22, I went to my dermatologist for a condition I have on my face where I am getting minor pink spots around my chin and jaw line. I also suffer from MPB and due to a minoxidil liquid I use, my scalp flakes and itch.My dermatologist recommended I use this Selsun Blue for flaking and because it can also help with the problem on my face[not to put it on my face, she prescribed Desonide for my face problem but that's off topic] I think she means like since shampoo runs down your face, the shampoo will go down my chin and it will be good for my skin problem. I could have bought THREE of these if I just came home and looked for the damn shampoo on Amazon, which I always do, this was the first time I bought something like that without using amazon. So that's what I get for being desperate..plus it was hot I needed an excuse to go in to Duane Reade since it's always air conditioned...it was like a pit stop, but I paid for it, literally.
Anyways, I gave it 5 stars because I used it 2 days ago[the day I went to my dermatologist] and my itching and flaking is gone for now. It was an everyday thing, because of the minoxidil I use. So far I have not felt any itching and when I have been combing my hair I don't see the large amounts of flakes falling like it did just 3 days ago. I plan to use this shampoo only twice a week, or maybe once a week. The only bad thing is the smell, but the menthol in it makes my head feel really good. So, 5 stars because it does what it claims to do, and because of the price. Next time I will be buying from Amazon..i'll have to think of something else to buy to enter Duane Reade next time.
