Thermal-Aid Bears: Natural Heating and Cooling Packs for Kids

Thermal-Aid Blue Bear: BuckleyNot safe!

Just bought 2 of these for little girls, ages 6 and 8. The first few times they were microwaved they were fine, however, after using them several times, one of them came out of the microwave very hot, then suddenly began smoking and giving off awful fumes.

It just got hotter and hotter, and began to ignite. We tossed it out into the snow, where it smoldered and burned for over 20 minutes. It wasn't the corn part that burnt, but the head of the bear. I will return this to the store where it was purchased, but I strongly advise against letting a child use these. The warning (in tiny print on the tag) says not to let any part of the bear touch the sides of the microwave. It is possible this is what happened, but this might be difficult to prevent on a small turntable in a microwave.

I have a feeling these will not be on the market long. Buyer, beware!

This bear, when you heat it, smells like burned popcorn. I bought it for my daughter's birthday, and she hates the smell and won't use it. Her little brother got a stuffed dog that you heat up for Christmas and it smells like lavender. It is also soft and cuddly. This bear has thin fabric, like a cheap washcloth, and it is not cuddly. I thought it would be good to buy something "natural" and "made in America", but I was wrong. Gross bear, don't buy this stinky product!!

Buy Thermal-Aid Bears: Natural Heating and Cooling Packs for Kids Now

Luckily I bought this for $7 at a superstore that sells bulk stuff. Cause had I paid $20 for it, I would send it back. For spending 6 hours I'm the deep freeze, the coolness is vague and lasts a short while, less than an hour before he needs to be chilled. I suffer from chronic migraines. I like the weight of it so I can lay down with it resting on my head, but the chill factor is very low and BEAR-ly noticeable. I love a good pun. I haven't needed to heat him up, so I don't know how well that works, but if the chill factor is an indication, not gonna even bother. Bummer.

Love the bear! I wish the whole bear had corn/beans inside instead of the stuffing in the head, legs, and arms.

Want Thermal-Aid Bears: Natural Heating and Cooling Packs for Kids Discount?

We used the bear hot pack 2-4 times a day. There was a distinct smoky odor from the first time we microwaved. We quickly noticed that the head of the bear got much warmer than the body, but would also cool quickly. The smoky smell grew a little stronger every time we microwaved it, until this morning when the nose of the bear came out singed and smoldering (with a pungent smell, that's still on my hands). I had to soak the head in cold water to stop the smoking. The burn appears to run through the bear's head. The head's filling is supposed to be cotton batting, so I suspect that some adulteration (paper, metal or cigarette butt) got manufactured into our bear and eventually burned through.

it's *cheap* ...

but i use them mostly as a liner for my mask

(so i may not need to wash the mask so often)

and i was looking for something cheaper

(and a little thinner's okay).

it says 8 ply but it feels like 3-4 ply ...

and the fabric is rather coarse,

feels like a summer sweater ...

i guess it's okay to use them

but i don't know if i want to buy it again.

Elastoplast Elastic Bandage White 3" X 5 Yds (Tensoplast)

Elastoplast Elastic Bandage White 3' X 5 YdsASIN: B000LX63XY I first used Elastoplast (Tensoplast)some forty years ago when I was visiting our neighbor to the north. Canada seems to frequently be ahead of us in many areas of life, as they were with this. We had J&J and Curity and maybe more, but this was so superior it put itself in a different league. You cut off what you need of it, not what someone else thinks you should use that might get wasted. I have been looking, off and on through the years, for this in drug stores and medical supply houses. Should have figured that Amazon would have it, and was so thrilled, I bought it in two sizes. I am very grateful to our Amazon. tx

Sovereign Silver First Aid Gel

Sovereign Silver, 2 Oz. First Aid GelMy friend had a rescued hound dog who had a gaping wound above her right eye. The wound would continually ooze and not heal. You could actually see inside to the bone. In the summer time, the flies would attack it. She took this dog to numerous vets over a two year period and they could do nothing to heal this wound. They kept giving antibiotics which, of course, had no effect. At one point, they suggested she be put down. As a last resort, I convinced her to try this gel. Although she was skeptcal, she could not believe that within one week, she began to see improvement. To the surprise of her veterinarian, the would completely healed.

I have had great success with this gel. My son gets huge boils that the gel heals completely. It's amazing stuff. As an aside, a little goes a long way so it's not expensive either. I always have a bottle on hand and usually end up passing it on to someone in need and have to replenish it.

I read the accolades in the other reviews and decided it was worth a try. Definitely worth it! I got a 2nd degree burn on my calf from motorcycle exhaust. While waiting for receipt, the Neosporin was protecting from infection, but healing was slow. Once I received this and started using, the progression of healing was just shy of miraculous. Each time I change the dressing, the wound is noticeably smaller.

Sadly, Bayer stopped making their 500mg Extra Strength aspirin caplets; first it disappeared from grocery stores, then from Amazon, and so I'm left buying this 'Bayer Advanced' product as the 500mg strength aspirins are the only ones capable of knocking out debilitating headaches that I get. This product is pretty good, but not quite as good as the one they discontinued. I tried contacting Bayer about it, all the way to their main office in Germany, a man responded to me stating that the original Extra Strength caplets were still available in some areas but he failed to respond to my follow-up email asking "where"???

Nexcare Opticlude(TM) Orthoptic Eyepatch, Regular-20ct

Nexcare Opticlude(TM) Orthoptic Eyepatch, Regular-20ctI have residual effects from Bell's Palsy such that one eye does not completely close. I need to keep it moisturized during the day, and closed at night. Sometimes I use paper tape to close it, but I also like this patch as an alternative. I use it mostly if I just want to close my eyes and rest during the day. Although there is not enough pressure against the eye to keep it completely closed with this patch, it does completely encircle the eye, creating a nice "moisture chamber", and allows my facial muscles around the eye to relax. I am a somewhat small adult, and the regular size is perfect.

My 10-yr-old has had to patch off and on for about 6 years. Some brands...the stickum is so painful on his skin, it makes him cry. It's like rubber cement. Believe me, patching is not his favorite activity...and when it's uncomfortable for him, everyone in the house has to feel his misery. This brand...not the case at all! I immediately threw out a practically new box I had found at Walgreens and will use this Nexcare brand from now on. Comfortable, easy to remove, no fess, no muss.

Buy Nexcare Opticlude(TM) Orthoptic Eyepatch, Regular-20ct Now

I've been using these for about two years for my daughter, who wears one for a few hours a day to correct crossing. They stick very well, to the point where they do cause a little irritation on the skin removed. I stick them on my arm first to remove a bit of the adhesive, and this seems to help a great deal.

For anyone considering buying this larger size rather than the "junior" sized patched due to the HUGE price difference, these fit my daughter fine starting from when she was about 3. They are a bit big, but not overly so. They work just fine and are much cheaper than the Jr. sized patches.

The best eyepatch, great value from Amazon. 3M products are top quality products, this eyepatch has been used by our boy for almost two years and it feels as comfortable as it can get. The value from Amazon compared to local pharmacy is great.

Want Nexcare Opticlude(TM) Orthoptic Eyepatch, Regular-20ct Discount?

My 15 month has to wear a patch for a couple of hours each day. Although most patches are latex free, as is this one, removing them typically irritates her skin and leaves raccoon eye for about 6 hours, sometimes more. She is used to the patches and doesn't mess with them either. The nexcare patch has just the right amount of sticky so that it stays on and can be removed very easily and quickly and doesn't pull. If you child does pull or mess with their patch, then they will probably be able to easily remove this one. Sometimes, the edge doesn't stay on completely but there's enough stick for it to stay on. I would take a less sticky product over having my child cry when I remove it and have a rash. Also, we sometimes put stickers on the patch to make it more fun as we have the skin colored ones.

Olay 2 in 1 advanced Soothing Creme + Advanced Moisture Body Wash

Olay Body Body Wash Plus, Creme Ribbons, with Almond Oil, 18 oz.This stuff smells great and moisturizes really well too. But it leaves a really lotion-y residue behind which makes shaving with it impossible. It clogs up the razor too much. I don't use shaving cream in the shower, so I guess this will only be for days when I'm not shaving.

First of all there are no beads in this great product so avoid any negative comments claiming this. This is an excellent product, the fragrance is good for men or women. It has great silky lather and rinses clean leaves you moist and best of all doesn't leave white fatty residue on the tile or grout! I love the fragrance while being floral it is not super girly like the Shea butter one by oil of olay. I highly recommend this body wash, it is a big bottle and great value too.

This is a great natural supplement for infections caused by bacteria (including tuberculosis), by viruses (including flu, H1N1 "swine" flu, and the common cold), by fungus, and by single-celled organisms called protozoans. Propolis is also used for cancer of the nose and throat; for boosting the immune system; and for treating gastrointestinal (GI) problems including Helicobacter pylori infection in peptic ulcer disease. Propolis is also used as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.

MediBuddy - First Aid Kit by me4kidz - Medi Buddy (Assorted Color)

MediBuddy - First Aid Kit by me4kidz - Medi BuddyThis kit is something every mom should have. It's not so much that the products included (cute bandaids, a few antiseptic wipes, some antibiotic ointment, a little gauze and some bigger bandages for skinned knees) are fantastic they're just run-of-the mill stuff but having a handy portable kit like this that you can easily re-fill with some additional antiseptic wipes (a need) and extra bandaids in additional sizes can be a lifesaver when you're out and about and the unexpected happens. Just the other day, a plastic display stand fell off a shelf in our local superstore and hit my three year old on the face, leaving a small cut. I was so glad I had my little kit with just the necessities (usually no need for a tourniquet or surgical scissors when you run errands) so that I could clean the cut, put a little ointment, and a cute bandaid and she was happy as a clam knowing that Mommy can fix it. I have one in my diaper bag now, but I'm buying more to stash around in purses and the glove boxes we have the big bulky kits but the truth is that you use the basics and the big intimidating stuff just gets in the way. The best thing about this product is the handy hard case and the convenient size and shape the rounded bullet shape fits anywhere, into anything. Get one and carry peace of mind in your stroller, purse, diaper bag, or desk drawer! Honestly, go ahead and buy a tiny tube of neosporin because you'll be needing it, a pair of regular, run-of-the mill tweezers for splinters and bee stings, and some extra antiseptic wipes to throw in there, and then stock up on these for the awesome cases!

Honestly I end up using the stickers more than anything to fix my kids on-the-go owies. This kit fits great in a diaper bag. I was even able to squeeze in a small ace wrap. I have had this for 2 years and continue to love it.

If you're expecting $40 worth of items in an $8 container then you'll be disappointed. But for the convenience of a put together kit, with practical items that come in handy at the park or beach now and again, this is a great deal. For $8 you get about $8 worth of convenience, portability, and cuteness. That's my kind of deal. Plus I love knowing that its all made in the US from a US company. I will be a rebel and give it 5 stars because it was cuter than expected, had everything listed, and is in a convenient case. Sweet deal.

It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle

It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle, Tall/SmallAs a Physical Therapist, I knew I would need some extra support to stay on my feet helping patients. That was 4 pregnancies and 2 garments ago. Each of my Cradles have been loaned to friends, and wear well through 3 pregnancies!

Once I hit 4 months pregnant, I really appreciate the support it gives me. Other, smaller straps just didn't contain my tummy, and I like that I can just slide it up or down as my activity requires. Occasionally I get impatient with the shoulder straps, but when I am REALLY big (after 30wks) the straps are indispensible.

My doctor told me to buy this because my back pain was so bad by my 3rd month that I couldn't stand upright without a pinching pain in my lower back. Within two days my back pain was at a tolerable level, and now I am even exercising! It is a little difficult to get on, and it shows with ALL of my maternity clothing, but it is worth it. I tightened two straps with safety pins so it is a lot more comfortable for my growing belly. This is the exact invention that I needed. With a toddler running around I couldn't be laying in bed all day. If I have any more children, I will definetly use this.

Buy It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle Now

We purchased this for my father in law who has a huge stomach hernia and is unable to have surgery. A regular hernia belt would not work with his bad back so we thought we would try this because of the straps and it works great!!!! I would highly recommend this to any pregnant person as well as anyone with our type of problem!!!

Around the 22 week mark of my twin pregnancy, I knew I needed some support for my ever-growing uterus. I found out about the Prenatal Cradle through a book on twins. I had tried several maternity belts out before & had to return them, as they did not provide enough support.

I found it easy to adjust to & comfortable to wear.

I am now almost 32 weeks pregnant, and I still wear my Prenatal Cradle Best Cradle every single day. If I don't wear it, I have more frequent contractions & both my belly and back hurt.

Want It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle Discount?

Oh how I wish I had known about this a month ago! This is my new favorite pregnancy item I just got it at 38 weeks after having pain from a torn abdominal muscle, about three inches across just to my right of center, due to the weight of my bundle-of-joy-to-be, and I now have much less pain from the muscle pulling. It's awesome and surprisingly comfortable! I wonder if I had started using it earlier if I could have prevented the problem in the first place, but I'll try that out next time. I'm quite small and only gained about 25lbs, but the force from how concentrated the weight gain has been put a lot of strain on those muscles. The belts might work just as well if back pain is your issue, but for me, I wanted the straps to give added "upward" support.

A couple of things that keep this from being 5 stars despite the comfort and benefits the elastic material is quite itchy and the whole apparatus needs to be worn over a layer of clothing (and then, of course, under another). The straps are especially itchy and would benefit from a softer backing. But, once over a tank, it's relatively comfortable.

The second issue is that it would be nice if the straps were adjustable or detachable. It shows under a lot of shirts because the cross in the front makes the straps come close to my neck. It would be nice to be able to pull those over to the outside old man suspender style so that I could make a choice based on my clothing but still keep the support. Or, the belt might be enough early on, so it could work to have them be detachable. Maybe after this one is born, I'll make some adjustments with my sewing machine to make that an option : )

But, all in all, this is a great product I would highly recommend.

Expedition Medical Kit by Adventure Medical Kits

Expedition Medical Kit by Adventure Medical KitsGood kit compared to the usual bandaids and aspirin products. Has almost all the right items. I added a bottle of Betadine , suture kit , more OTC drugs like Tylenol and some Quickclot large bandages. If the bag had more room I'd put water , alcohol ,insect sting kit , snakebite kit and cold/warm packs plus water filter and signalling gear. I did add their trauma kit , dental kit and an extra surgical travellers kit but ran out of room. This is a medium level kit with a splint , matches and other nice extras. If they'd add a few of the items I did , put more of what is included or drop the price I'd be more inclined to buy again. You should lay everything out , inventory it and then add your extras by priority as you run out of room fast. The med evaluation forms could be left out for instance and add a big magnifying glass to see the first aid book plus start fires and..add a reliable flashlight. Ever tried bandaging a cut in the dark ? Don't.

If you compare this one and Kinesio tape...

Kinesio has more supporting but not stay on skin so long...sometime few min for me. Specially when i get wet It doesn't stay.

Elastikon is little bit weaker support but stay really well on my skin even wet in shower. and this is enough support to me.

If you need little support but need tape stay as well, I recommend Elastikon.

Instead Softcups 12 Hour Feminine Protection,14 Count

Instead Softcups 12 Hour Feminine Protection,14 CountThis is a cut-and-paste from a review I did on an outdoorsy type forum with only a few minor changes to smooth off some rough language, so it's a bit out-in-the-woods flavored, but hopefully some of the info is still useful to civilized folk.

These are, at least to me, the ideal balance between the icky stuff traditional chicks use and the reuseable cups. They're individually packaged, semi-reuseable (the package tells you to toss em after one use; but frankly, I used a single one of them for three months once. Obviously, I cleaned and sanitized the thing multiple times during that, but still: they can certainly keep up with the normal, "non-replaceable" type for a while) little plasticy disc/cups but they're not designed like the normal menstrual cups. I'm not going to try to describe how they sit (if I recall, their website has pictures anyway), but the big important difference between them and the "regular" cup style is that you can empty them out without removing them. That's right sit down on your toilet (or squat over your hole, or whatever) and handle it just like you would if you were urinating old-school style. Then wipe off, zip up, and walk away. Wear one all weekend and worry about the mess and trash disposal issues of actually changing it once you're back somewhere with running water. Actually removing them is probably going to require handwashing, though but see below. I did have trouble with them leaking the first couple times I used them, but practice made perfect. After the first few, they've worked like a charm ever since. Also, the website mentions you can get your lovin' on while wearing these, but I'll just say "Don't count on it." I can see it being possible for some people, but I know my personal anatomy just ain't set up to accommodate it. Your mileage may vary.

In regards to a few things I've noticed in other reviews:

"OMG it's disgusting to remove!" Yes, if done according to the instructions, it is. I heartily recommend complaining to Evofem until they add a freakin' pull-stem to these. My cynical suspicion is that they don't want to muck-up their stupid "No strings" advertising campaign. Until then, you can get some of those super cheap individually wrapped medical exam gloves if you're going to be away from handwashing facilities (or use a sandwich bag. Or your stash of expired condoms. Or whatever strikes your fancy. Improvise and all that jazz.) Tie it closed after and it's a disposal bag as well. Also, with practice, you may be able to shift them down and forward with your pelvic muscles until the front edge pops out, which you can then grab with a bit of toilet tissue.

"OMG It's huge!" Read the friggin' instructions. It doesn't go in like a Diva/Keeper/whatever. You don't just wedge it in however the heck you feel like wedgin' it in there. The sides are squeezed together during application, resulting in a long thin shape that's no bigger around than a tampon.

"It wasn't comfy and it leaked." If you can feel it, it isn't in right. If it isn't in right, it'll leak. If you won't take the time to learn to put it in right (though once you learn, it'll only take about 10 seconds to do in the future,) don't bother trying them.

i cannot praise these things enough. i have been using them longer than most people have heard of them. you have to be willing to stick a finger up there to insert it then fetch it out later, but as long as you're cool with that, you're going to be happy. here's why:

(1) reduced bloating: i can't explain this to you. i don't know why this would have any effect on bloating. but somehow, because of the way it sits inside of me, as opposed to how a tampon sits, allows my body to expel excess gas i may accumulate during my period better than i'm able to do when i have a tampon in. throughout my teen years and into my early twenties, i used a tampon and never thought it was a possibility that the tampon was worsening my gas & bloating. it was only after i switched to menstrual cups that i realized there was a difference.

(2) quicker bathroom visits: i know they say you should put in a new one every several hours. i am probably living dangerously. but if it's mid-day and i'm in a public restroom, i can squeeze my PC muscles and that pushes any period tissue that may have accumulated in my cup right out so that i can flush it down the toilet. that gives me another 4-6 uninterrupted hours of wearing the instead, without removing it, without getting my hands "dirty", and without spending the extra $$ on an additional cup for the end of the day. it also means you don't have the discomfort of fussing with the position of your menstrual product when your cervix might be sore & not want the friction.

(3) sex during: once you have the instead in, you can have any and every type of sex you desire. whether that means you want your partner to know you're menstruating, or you wish to keep it hidden, the "instead" will play friendly. if you simply tidy up the outer surface before engaging in oral sex, your partner will not know you're having your period. if you intend to engage in intercourse, your partner will not feel it or notice it's there. if you fear leakage during intercourse, then just take your instead out and rinse it off, or put in a brand new one, right before intercourse. then your partner will definitely never know.

(4) some of our partners have no problem with our cycles, but will certainly appreciate the opportunity to keep the bed clean so easily. so i recommend it all-around if, for no other reason, because you wish to keep your mattress looking nice for many years to come.

I suffer from a horrendously heavy 1st and 2nd day of my period. As a teacher, I don't always have the option to run to the ladies room when I need a "swap out" break. I dreaded when my first couple of days coincided with my back-to-back schedule.

By chance, I was sitting in my doctor's office reading a natural health magazine and saw an add for Diva Cup. When I got home I instantly researched it and thought it sounded like a potential life changer or a potential disappointment. I read the reviews and decided I should give it a go. I went to the local store that was supposed to sell it and was disappointed that they were out of stock, but they did have the disposable "InsteadSoft Cup". So I bought that because I was just about to start my period and I didn't want to have to deal with my double protective measures anymore! I ordered the "Diva Cup" here and had it shipped 2-day express mail.

So, I've tried both out. Here's what I have to say about each.

Both are amazing in terms of the volume they can hold before needing to "dump" or replace.

Where I once had to change a super plus absorbency at least once an hour (with a heavy flow pad back-up), I can now go 4-5 hours. Both products also handle endometrial tissue and blood clots without any problem. On my normal flow days, I can leave them in for 12 hours without fear of leaking! When both are positioned properly, you will not know either is there. If you can feel either of them, you haven't inserted it correctly.

Here's how they differ.

INSERTION:

The disposable "InsteadSoft Cup" is only one size. It consists of a sturdy bendable plastic ring with a plastic baggie-esque cup. Think of it like half of a female condom, only the internal ring is sturdier. The Instead Cup is exponentially easier to learn and put into proper place. It goes in farther into your vagina and you need to make sure you pop it behind your pubic bone (the bump with a ridge-like texture just north of your vaginal opening). The baggie part sits underneath your cervical opening and your flow collects into it. While this cup won't leak if inserted properly and are having a normal flow, it is common to see a some blood if you urinate or have a bowel movement. Since you're engaging your muscles, you'll displace a little flow in the process. This won't affect the efficacy of the cup after you use the toilet. No need to readjust.

The Diva cup is a completely bendable but sturdy cup. It's a similar material to a diaphragm, I instantly snipped off half of the stem after having read the comments here. I'm glad I did. Anyhow, the Diva Cup is extremely uncomfortable when you are learning how to insert it. The instructions tell you that you shouldn't insert it farther into your vagina than 1/4" from the base of the stem. This is true BUT the labia extend deeper inside and some of your internal space isn't the vagina at all, but space between your labia. How I realized I got it right was when 2 things happened, the first was that I was actually able to rotate the cup with no problem and the second was I heard a suction-noise. The Diva cup goes in deeper than you would think, but you definitely shouldn't be trying to shove it as far as you can. The cup sits lower in your vagina than the Instead cup. It isn't directly blocking the cervix. Rather it forms a collection blockade. Unlike the Instead cup, you won't see any blood upon using the toilet. If you do, you might need to remove, dump, clean and re-insert.

REMOVAL:

This is a biggie for me and one that makes me favor the Diva cup. The Instead Soft Cup requires you insert your finger and find the loop then you pull out. Because the cup is so flexible and bag like, it's a disgusting mess. Unless there is a garbage can next to the toilet, it can be awkward having to remove, dispose and put in a new one. Your fingers will get bloody! If you are squeamish, you shouldn't get this brand.

The diva cup is easier and much cleaner! The sturdier material holds its cup shape and blood won't spill out of it accidentally. It's quick to wipe out with toilet paper if you aren't next to a sink. If you push down on your muscles you can easily grab the bottom of the cup. It's easier to grab the base than the stem. (In fact, if the stem irritates your vagina, it's not an issue if you cut it off entirely).

INTERCOURSE & Other sexual activities:

You can have sex with the Instead Soft Cup and neither party will be affected by it. Because of where it is positioned, your partner won't be hindered and you won't be hurt or "rubbed the wrong way". It's a great solution to when you want to get intimate but don't want a bloody mess on the sheets (or the couch, or the rug).

Lastly, the Instead Soft Cup is also being used to aid in fertility. Rather than boosting your tush up in the air on pillows after sex, you can place the instead soft cup inside to prevent gravity from having its way with that precious male-mix!

You can't have intercourse with the Diva Cup and it won't prevent semen from slipping away from your cervical opening.

GOING GREEN:

Clearly, one is disposable and one is reusable. However, you use far less of the Soft Cup than you would tampon's and pads.

FINAL VERDICT:

Personally, I'm going to keep both on hand. I'll use the Diva Cup for my menstrual issues and the Instead Soft Cup for when my husband and I need some grown-up time during that time of the month.

PS Instead Soft Cups are cheaper at your local pharmacy.

This is my first time trying this kind of product and, I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised.

The Instead softcup looks like a round rubber ring with a cellophane-like baggie attached to the lower rim. Insertion requires pinching the sides of the ring to flatten it, then it's a matter of making sure it's in properly.

The product leaflet says to think about the first time you tried wearing soft contacts, for example, and how you probably had trouble the first few attempts at inserting them. I found this very helpful; contacts were a chore to put in at first but, after awhile, you get used to it and it takes only seconds to do. The leaflet promises the Instead cup will be the same.

Meanwhile, though, it took both hands and several tries to keep it from sliding too far up in the back, poking uncomfortably somewhere, or turning kind of sideways. I think the secret is to be persistent. A couple of times, I was tempted to say, "I guess that's good enough" but, by being persistent, I learned that if it's really in right, you can't feel it at all.

I wouldn't be brave enough yet to wear JUST the cup without a pad underneath, or wear it to work where I might have to change it in the common restroom and feel rushed. Maybe after I really got used to it. It's also probably not the product for someone who's uncomfortable with her body. If you're squeamish about getting your nails dirty (or if you have really long nails--ouch!), you might not want to try this. You will probably have to get at least a finger or two into the work area to get it positioned properly.

The product description says you can wear one for "up to 12 hours." Actually, according the instructions, the length of time you can wear it depends on your flow--approximately twice as long as you usually wear a pad or tampon.

Removal wasn't bad at all. You'll need to hook the ring with your finger, but I can't see how it would get "stuck" in any way whatsoever. I guess there's the possibility it could go up further than someone's comfortable reaching so, again, you should be mentally prepared for that possibility. Definitely try it the first few times at home, where you're not likely to feel rushed.

It works like a charm for me, though. The only reason I'm not able to give it five stars is because I find disposal inconvenient. Obviously, you can't just flush a rubber ring down the toilet.

The cups come individually wrapped, and the instructions say to put the used cup into the wrapper the next one comes in, or wrap it with tissue and dispose of it in a wastebasket. Unfortunately the wrappers fit the product so snugly that it's hard to get a used one in without making a mess. If you opt to wrap it with tissue, it's likely to soak through (potentially embarrassing in a small office with a unisex restroom or at someone's house, for example). Maybe they could make the bags a little larger with tie-closed "handles" that make a neat, leak proof package for disposal.

I probably won't buy this product again because it's made me brave enough to try the reusable cups--also available on Amazon. Look up Diva Cup, Moon Cup, or The Keeper.

I've been using the Diva Cup for about a year. I figured I'd try theses because I was curious and they say you can have sex with the softcup in. So besides the leaking, I have had a horrible time getting it out. I think my main problem is that I'm used to bearing down to get out my Diva Cup that I figured the same rule applies with this softcup. IT ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT APPLY. Seriously it creates some sort of blood-cannon out of your vagina. I'm not particularly grossed out by blood, but when my entire hand was drenched with my fluids, I was horrified.

I did only use the product three times, but with awful results every time it's hard to try it more.

These did make me realize that, if I'm going to have sex on my period, I should just put down a towel.

CobanTM Self-Adherent Wrap - Latex Free

3M Coban LF Latex Free Self-Adherent Wrap 2081, 5 RollsI bought this tape to wrap my daughter's sprained ankle. She wears it during gymnastics practice but it doesn't stick to itself very well. I still need to use another athletic tape to wrap the end to make sure it doesn't get undone. It's great that it's latex free and she likes that the tape is stretchable but it's not very self-adherent.

It's Latex free..which is great..but not long enough for me..I gave them to a friend who is in health care..Next time..will make sure of the length..But still great item..
