I love the Hibiclens! It's really great for cleaning minor cuts, scrapes, and for treating boils, razor burn, and ingrown hairs. However, I find it very odd that Regent Medical sends Hibiclens, which is a medical product, without a safety seal. When you buy Hibiclens from a pharmacy, it is sealed with an aluminum safety seal all that Regent Medical does is affix clear packing tape to seal the bottle! I contacted Hibiclens about this, and did not receive a response. My bottle from Regent Medical is still sitting in the cabinet, unused, because I'm not sure if it is safe to use. When I contacted Regent Medical, all they could offer is their excellent reputation.
I've used nitrile gloves since college and I pretty much use them for everything from cleaning to painting. Have only tried it in the living room fresh out of the box. I am 6'1" tall and 240 pounds non muscular build and this bag fits too snug. At the shoulders and waist it is snug with almost no room to move my arms or roll over. It will work as it is as an emergency bivvy for day hiking but I wish it had a size offering like "relax fit" pants for extra room. I really love this product. I'm not sure what the problem is with deet-containing products, but I always feel greasy when I use them and they irritate my eyes, nose and mouth. This doesn't happen with Natrapel. After it dries, you can barely tell you're wearing it, but it is very effective. When hiking with friends/family, I have seen ticks jump on them and immediately jump right off. I have a real phobia with ticks--especially because deer ticks have become so prevalent and I have several friends (and their pets) that have gotten chronic Lyme Disease infections from them. In our area of eastern and central PA there has been a huge increase in Lyme Disease over the last several years, which can cause havoc in your body. My family and I were camping last weekend and we all used Natrapel. None of us was bothered by mosquitos or ticks. One caveat is that you must use it on every part of your body. For example, if you use it on your body, but not on your face, the mosquitos will attack your fsce or any area on your body where you have not used it. Overall it is so superior to deet-containing products, that it's worth finding snd buyinng. At least in our area, it is difficult to find, but you can find it online and it's well worth the time and effort to find it and buy it, even if you have to pay extra for the shipping. A little goes a long way and it's a comfort knowing that it's all natural AND effective.

I like this repellent. It seems to work as good as DEET most of the time. The reason I say most of the time is sometimes the bugs are so bad that only 100% DEET works, or run for your life. It seems Natrapel is more effective on blackflies and midges than DEET. I did have to re-apply more often than 8 hrs though, maybe every 3-4 hrs I would re-apply as needed.
