PediFix No Sore Feet Stretch Socks
I got these in preparation for my ankle surgery and thank God I did. I used them to cover up the large splint/bandage and my toes post-op and now I wear them over the hard cast. It's especially important over the cast even though it's a smooth fiberglass it gets caught on the furniture and bedding so covering with the sock eliminates that problem and keeps my toes nice and warm as well. It fits perfectly to the top of it (my cast ends a few inches below my knee). I am also using a Cast Cozy for extra warmth when I go outside or when my toes are really cold inside. Both are really needed IMO. Definitely get the XL for covering any cast or bulky bandage. That's what I have and it fits fine but I don't think a smaller size would work. They are also holding up well after 3 weeks of use and washing no holes to be found (and I take it on and off at least 2x daily to check the swelling in my toes).

I plan on buying more because it is really nasty weather up here in New England and I have to wash them often. I ordered the largest size of the sock but my cast is too big for it to completely go over the entire thing. However, it does cover my toes and keeps them warm. I have been using these for eight years. The first trial did not go so well though that was more likely at my own fault. Since then I am much more careful with significant scrapes and wounds.Though this is a review for the larger pad, the rest pretty much do one thing right: they minimize immediate and eliminate long term healing pain. With scrapes that go beyond the superficial dermis layer, I noticed a problem: white blood cells would seep out to fight infection, though there was no scab to allow it to do its job. Instead of the scrapes drying out, they would just ooze white blood cells for days...
Thankfully with this, it acts as an artificial scab that is flexible and will never crack under any condition. The cushion it provides when the adhesive comes in contact with fluids from the wound is indispensable. Ive noticed healing time is shorter than with traditional bandages and if you wait long enough to remove the bandage, it will almost seem as though a miracle had transpired: the cut or scrape has disappeared!
I am writing this after a tumble I had while I was snowboarding. The pain from the scrape was pretty bad and I was sure it would leave a gnarly scar but after having changed the bandage, I'm confident there will be no scar. The best part is if disinfected properly, scrapes that would otherwise be susceptible to infection are completely protected from external bacteria. Advanced healing bandages are a product I will keep in my medicine cabinet for the rest of my life.
These are the new staple to my medicine cabinet, replacing all the other band-aid things i used to buy.

A couple of years ago, I fell on my concrete backdoor steps. I ended up with a hole just below my knee. All the skin was stripped off of an area about an inch and a half in diameter. The wound was more than 1/16 of an inch deep. There was no skin left. I am an older woman, and diabetic, so I had quite a bit of concern about infection and healing. I cleaned my wound thoroughly, and applied one of these patches. Abut 4 or 5 days later, I removed the patch to see how it was doing, and was very surprised to see that the wound was granulating in from the edges, and was very clean. I applied another bandage, and again left it on for several days. I did this about 3 to 4 times. Today, there is no sign of the injury except a slightly paler area of soft skin. There was no infection, and no scaring. Although what is there is considered a scar, there is no apparent difference in texture from the neighboring skin. I have used these patches in other instances, though not as serious, and have had the same results. I think they are an outstanding product, and well worth the price. And the price here, was very reasonable.I became a fan of hydrocolloid-type bandages after picking up a random pack on sale at a local drug store. These types of bandages form a barrier around the wound and also suck up some of the moisture released by the body (hereto referred to as "ick") forming a moisturizing gel which helps naturally heal the wound. Put simply the bandages have a substance in them which reacts to your body's "ick" (usually called "exudate" in the medical world) and forms a gel which helps keep the area moist. This moist environment allows the body to heal more quickly than an open-air wound which requires the body to form scabs and other "temporary" scar tissues.
The upside? These types of bandages usually help the wound heal more quickly than traditional bandages and also generally reduces any scarring (not completely, but less than if not used).
The downside? Well, they're generally really expensive sometimes costing a dollar or more per bandage.
That's why I like the Johnson & Johnson Tough Pads. The pads included in the box are 3" x 2.25" and are very easily cut down into smaller dressings. Whenever I use these bandages I generally find that I do not need the whole giant pad and the problem with "blister bandages" like the other manufacturers make is that there's a lot of wasted bandage used to wrap around the wound area that's really not required.
There are a few things to keep in mind with any type of hydrocolloid bandage:
1 If it's a bleeder (or a weeper), these probably won't work. Basically the moisture will "overload" the gel and make the whole bandage non-stick, eventually just peeling off.
2 They generally won't work on a super-active spot compared to something like a "heavy duty" bandage. The adhesive will most likely peel off and once the initial "stick" is broken, these don't really re-stick very well.
3 They're very, very noticeable. The bandage starts out a bandage-y type of pink/tan color, but the area over the wound generally turns a shade of white and then blows up like a small bubble (and it's squishy... you'll probably end up poking at it because it's neat). Unfortunately if you're going for subtlety, these aren't the best choice.
Once you try a hydrocolloid bandage, you probably will never want to use a normal bandage ever again. When that becomes the case, I highly recommend these Tough Pads for the sheer economic value they represent. This works great on cuts and scrapes that are not deep. You just put it on and go about your everyday chores. I changed mine after four days and by then the wound was healed. You can wash dishes, take a shower, etc and the wound is protected. I just love it for minor cuts. But the directions say do not use on deep puncture wounds.

Nivea Lip Care
This product is definitely my favorite chapstick. It smells wonderfully and feels very silky when applying it. I will definitely be buying more in the future.
First thing I noticed upon grabbing the chapstick is that awesome "almost like a tube of lipstick" design that I really like. I feel a bit more feminine carrying a chapstick like this. Anyways, I open the tube, spin the lil circle at the bottom, and immediately notice the slightly yellow tint of the balm. Of course that is expected, it's supposed to have honey in it, you know?
I was a bit worried it might go on yellow, but it is very sheer and not shiny. What I don't like about A Kiss of Milk & Honey is that it doesn't have SPF in it! *insert dramatic music here* There was SPF in a Kiss of Recovery, but in Milk & Honey there is none. Well, darn it, I live in Texas and the sun is out EVERY DAY (lol, it is in most places actually) so there is no way that I can go without SPF in my chapstick. Oh, and it doesn't really smell like milk or honey.
So yeah, it is definitely a Nivea product: goes on smooth, lasts for a fairly long while, has the cute tube thingy. But I liked Kiss of Recovery better.I received a coupon for these in the mail so I bought it at WalMart. I love it. It could stand a little more moisturizer in it, no, it doesn't smell like milk and honey, but it does have a light honey scent. My lips dry out pretty quickly no matter the season and this is helping out a lot. I also have a bad habit of picking my dry, chapped lips and this is helping to keep them soft so I don't. It's not sticky and it is a little slick, there's no flavor when you lick your lips which is alright with me. I don't want to taste, say, watermelon when I drink my chocolate coffee. All in all, I would buy this again. I might give some with Christmas presents this year too.

For as long as I can remember I've had dry chapped lips and recurring fever blisters. I constantly purchase lip gloss to keep on my lips in an effort to help with the dryness and avoid cracked chapped lips that will end in a painful fever blister.. This tea tastes great and is very effective. Have a cup right before bed and you'll eliminate by morning. If you steep it for several minutes, it will be quite strong and you may end up making several trips to the bathroom in the morning. If you are new to this kind of product, only steep it for a minute, the first time you use it to see how your body reacts. The longer you steep it, the stronger it is so be careful! Overall I find it to be quite effective for kick-starting weight loss and dealing with occasional constipation. I was having almost constant urinary tract problems and I was sick of going to the doctor and getting an antibiotic that just gave me other problems. I saw a commericial for this on tv and decided to give it a try, and it really works. I normally take a tablespoonful once a day or every other day and if I start to feel symptoms of a UTI I will take two. I have been taking this for a couple months now and haven't had a single UTI. I also will take it before and/or after sex just to make sure that I don't get one. I wish they sold bigger bottles of this, though, because 1 tablespoon a day will only last 15 days. I recommend this to anyone with frequent UTIs.
However, the price combined with the frequency with which it needs to be taken is a bit unfortunate. That is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Also, on a couple of occasions I think (but can't be sure) that it irritated my stomach very mildly when I took it in the morning on a completely empty stomach, so I try not to do this....but it still happens occasionally.
I have found that it helps a lot.
I have been taking it to prevent an infection instead of the antibiotics I used to use. I try to take 1 dose before intercourse and then one dose the next morning and that following evening. If I find that even the mildest symptoms have occurred I keep taking it 2 times per day. Otherwise I try to take it one time per day just to keep the urinary tract a little healthier than my body seems to be able to on its own. I have definitely missed a day here and there and have not had repercussions from that yet.
I have been taking it for a few weeks and have not had a uti in that time so I plan to keep taking it. I consider this a pretty significant success.
I have not tried using it to fight a significant preexisting infection, so I can't speak to it's ability to do that.
I have been thinking though........It contains >300% daily value of vitamin C in one dose, so the days that I take 2 doses there may be times where I am getting >900% of my vit C intake in a given 24 hour period (counting the pre-intercourse dose obviously as well). Part of me wonders if I took that amount of vit C by itself if it may be just as effective for infection fighting. But given the success I have had with this product I'm not ready to experiment with that just yet.
***Given one customers review of this product I investigated the UTI-STAT product they mentioned to compare (but have not tried it). I found it's ingredient list online. That product contains only 1mg more of the proantinox (the main ingredient for both products) and it recommends the dose as 2 tablespoons instead of 1. The cystex is a smaller bottle (7.6 fl ounces at $11.44 versus 30 at about $50) but when you compare the actual price you would be paying $5 dollars more total for the UTI-STAT and from what I can see you aren't getting the benefit of the Vit C which appears to only be in the Cystex.
So I'm sticking with this one.

I understand cranberries are tart, but really, I don't want nor need artificial sweeteners in products I am trying to use to IMPROVE my health!! I didn't think to read the ingredients before purchasing and, as I often am, was fooled by the "no sugar" claim in the main description. Make no mistake, there is Sucrolose in this product. Probably not a big deal for 95% of America who thinks drinking Diet Coke is a healthy choice, but I am dissapointed this wasn't more prominently disclosed before I bought the product.Other than that, I have no idea if it's really working or not. I've taken a spoonful in the evenings when I remember to, and so far no urinary issues. I am sure with the science behind the product it works just fine, and I am grateful to find an easy preventative solution for urinary health... I just wish they'd make it sugar AND artificial sweetener free!!!! Cystex please consider this, or another natural sugar if you MUST sweeten your "medicine". I may be in the minority, but I am not fond of the taste it is wayy too sweet. I'd rather they just keep the product as natural as possible and at least then when I deal with whatever the taste may be, I know it truely is good for me in all regards and to just suck it up for 2 seconds each evening.

I went on vacation recently to San Antonio, Texas and I got bitten by a spider. My leg had a big red round spot and it was very itchy. A blast from my past. This is good oitment for minor infections. My husband is leds excited because it is black in color.not sure if the product works well as the smell is aweful therefore only used it a couple of times and started using something else instead. Might work but smells bad!!!

The optics are of decent, but not great quality, they are just fine for home use. Compared to lab quality magnifiers, they are sub par. Of course lab quality magnifiers cost 10X what these do. For what you pay, they are decent quality.My warning to possible buyers is that to pay attention to the description. It does clearly state that the larger one is the 6x, and the smallest the 10x, but I missed that when ordering, so be warned. I was expecting the larger one to be 10x. My fault, but wanted to make sure no one else has same problem.
So realistically you get a 2xPower(Large size) 3xPower(Medium size)and 4xPower(Small size) magnifying glasses.
Technically that really stinks. However the glass quality and magnification clarity were excellent and entirely defect free. Compared to my UltraOptix which has a plastic lens, decent clarity and all sorts lens refraction issues, these glass lenses are far superior.
For the price you can't really complain as the overall quality is pretty good. However the magnification is just weak. I will now be looking for a true 4xPower, 3in or wider glass magnifying lens to suit my tastes.
As for this set, I find the medium sized 3xPower magnifying glass to be decent. The rest will be given away. So one decent glass lens magnifier for the asking price. Barely, barely worth it.

Also works well if you color your hair as I do every 6 weeks & I use a hot blow dryer. I'm 61 and using this keeps my hair feeling as soft and full as if I were still in my 20's. I like the conditioner as well, keeps your hair very full looking without weighing it down...

Dermicel Cloth Tape 1/2" X 10 Yarsd (Box Of 24)
Dermicel is a brand name of Johnson & Johnson. I had some Dermicel tape but needed more. Though Amazon shows Dermicel as the product name and picture, what I got is "Cloth Surgical Tape Hypoallergenic, manufactured for dynarex Corporation, Orangeburg, NY, made in China." I don't care where it was made, and it's a generic that's close, but not quite the same as, Dermicel. At first glance it looks the same, but it's woven differently. Both tapes have tiny notches along the sides to assist in tearing, but Dermicel has clearly-seen lines across the full width of the tape that make it much easier to cleanly tear a piece off. This tape has a smooth uniform weave that doesn't tear as easily, so it stretches and frays slightly at the tear. Of course it can be cut with scissors, but like any tape, it quickly gums them up. Both tapes have about the same stickiness. If you don't mind the difference, this tape is a good price. The product name and photo should be changed to the actual product.
