Special Pack of 5 Zeasorb Super Absorbent Powder 2.5 oz GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Health

Special Pack of 5 Zeasorb Super Absorbent Powder 2.5 oz GlaxoSmithKline Consumer HealthI have used Zeasorb for several years and prefer it over Gold Bond. This is a very good price compared to buying in stores.

I am one of those unfortunate individuals with very sweaty feet, causing very strong odor. I had an extreme case of hyperhidrosis, and as a woman, it was really embarassing. People would walk into a room and ask, "What smells?" And it was my feet!!! My doctor recommended a regular regimen of Certain Dri deoderant and Zeasorb. I can attest that with regular use, you will see (and smell) a noticeable improvement. It's important to use on a regular basis. Now that my feet are no longer smelly, I use the Zeasorb on a daily basis, and the Certain Dri if I notice my feet are sweating excessively.

Adventure Medical Kits Weekender Kit

Adventure Medical Kits Weekender KitThis is a great general purpose kit for a variety of situations: to keep in a vehicle, to take on a family outing, for a longer or larger hiking/camping trip, or just to have around the house in case of emergency. It is fairly full, but I did find room to add a few items such as Quikclot Sport Brand Advanced Clotting Sponge ,Stop Bleeding Fast, 50 Gram Package, Adventure Medical Kits GlacierGel Blister and Burn Dressing, 6-Count Package (Pack of 2), and some better bandages (I would recommend 3M, Coverlet, Curad, or similar) as the ones included in the kit did not seal on the edges (nothing worse than having something work itself under the bandage, or the bandage simply fall off because it doesn't have the adhesive on all sides). There is also room for a few other small items if needed (such as matches, extra nitrile gloves, minimal sewing kit, small magnifier, etc) or perhaps, with rearranging, an New Israeli Battle Dressing, 6-inch Compression Bandage but that would be pushing the capacity of the bag. Other than the cheap bandages I am happy with the size and versatility of this kit.

Ultimately I chose this kit due to its more comprehensive selection mixed with the nice organization it offers (separate pouches for "Wound Care/Burn/Blister", "First Aid Manual, Medication/Instruments", "Fracture, Sprain", and "Bleeding, CPR"). This is not meant to be a overly compact kit though and is far too large for the average hiker, but Adventure Medical Kits does offer kits in a variety of sizes depending on your needs from the very basic Adventure Medical Kits Travel Medic Kit (Pack of 2) for throwing in pocket or purse (also perhaps a more economical way of getting refills of various medication once it expires), the scalable Adventure Medical Kits UltraLight and Watertight (fits in a larger pocket and is great for short excursions where weight is a main consideration), and the surprisingly compact Adventure Medical Kits Day Tripper First Aid Kit which I also own and fits very nicely in a backpack for those trips where you may need to be a little more prepared and yet want to keep the size down. Do keep in mind that the medications included in this (or other) medical kit will need to be periodically replaced as it expires (normally about each year or so).

Recommended for 1 6 people for up to 7 days, according to the manufacturer this kit is 10" x 9.5" x 4" with a weight of 1lb 15 oz. Included in the kit is:

It's a great first aid kit and a great value for $40! Adventure Medical Kits tend to be more expensive than other mfg's but a deal on Amazon. I use this kit on 3-8 person backpacking trips. For the larger trips I add some extra supplies and this kit's bag has a little extra space to accommodate it.

I'm a Scuba Instructor, Emergency First Response Instructor (CPR/First Aid), and my wife is a Internal Medicine doctor and ACLS instructor. I was looking for a decent first aid kit to keep in my truck for shore diving with friends. We keep a more extensive first aid kit with oxygen on our shop truck and boat, but I wanted something for my fun dives.

This kit met most of my requirements for a little more than the basics, but wasn't going to break the bank or take up too much space. I specifically wanted a kit with an irrigation syringe, EMT shears and a CPR face shield. This kit was the smallest that met those requirements, and I was impressed with the other materials included.

The pros:

*good mix of bandages from simple band-aids, to butterflies and 4X4s.

*decent mix of medications. Probably worth adding some additional units of the most common (aspirin/tylenol, decongestant, benadryl)

*wraps, bandages, duct tape for immobilization/splints

*well laid out package with clear labels for types of materials included in each sub-pouch

*extra room in the kit for adding your own supplements

The cons:

***The included book is several years out of date and doesn't reflect the most recent changes to CPR guidelines. The three pages on dive injuries and pretty poor and even have some inaccuracies. Even some of the first aid guidelines have changed, and includes no mention of AEDs. While AEDs are not likely to be found in the wilderness, they are becoming widespread in general society.

** The EMT shears are small and weak, not necessarily up to the task of cutting through 3 or 5mm wetsuits. Not sure if they would cut through tough denim either.

General recommendations for additions (not specific to diving)

-better EMT shears.

-anti-diahreal tablets

-extra aspirin/tylenol

-extra decongestant

-extra nitrile gloves

-small pack of wetwipes

-small bottle of hand sanitizer (unscented, highest percentage alcohol possible)

If you want to use this for diving/beach:

-small bottle of vinegar/acetic acid (for jellyfish sting)

-seasickness pills

Overall, I still recommend this kit. The book was a disappointment, but as an EFR instructor, I wasn't relying on it to teach me much. Most of the equipment (except shears) are pretty good quality. It is small enough to tuck into one of the storage compartments in my truck.

I bought one of these for each of my cars "in case of emergency." It's a high-quality kit with everything you need short of a severe trauma situation. The first-aid field guide that comes with it makes it quick and easy to look up various traumas and how to treat them. This kit is a little heavy to take in a backpack or daypack, but great for basecamp or the car. Also, the Adventure Medical Pocket Survival Pack fits nicely inside to round off the kit.

3600 Calorie Food Bar Outdoors Survival GearThis stuff is kinda tasty, stays fresh for a long time, and packs small.

I suggest it for any survival kit where space is limited but still available. In other words, get cheaper bulkier stuff for your home. (Mountain House Hardtack is good there, along with some peanut butter and canned goods). This is for your car, boat, plane, or office. It's standard issue in many lifeboats. It does not require cooking and is moist enough so that it's not thirst provoking.

Special pack of 5 THERMACARE MENSTRUAL 3CT

Special pack of 5 THERMACARE MENSTRUAL 3CTI've had terrible menstural cramps since I started having my period 17 years ago, I used to have to take 4 advil every 6 hours for two or three days each month, this did a number on my stomach. Now with the thermacare patches I take only 2 advil every 6 hours. It helps so much. I imagine with lighter cramps you wouldn't even need to take a pill if you had these. I love them and I will keep a good stock of these because I can't do without.

I am grateful for these products beyond counting. They generate considerable heat for long time (past 8 hrs in most cases). They are also not visible under most clothing (except obviously clingy ones).

I try to wear something snug to hold it close to the body and wear a shirt over, etc. Hope this tip might help someone like me. Kikkerland Empty First Aid Box, Red

Kikkerland Empty First Aid Box, RedThe box is well made and strong. For what it is, I have no problem. The only concern I have is size. When you fill it with bandaids and other items, it is not designed for larger bandaids and ointments. I like it but wish I would have ordered a larger size.

We were looking for a kind of retro round metal red first aid box with a white cross we saw at a friends house. He had picked it up on some Dutch web site. We couldnt find it anywhere, but I did find this very nice substitute. Nicely made metal first aid box with a raised cross on the door. I wish the cross was in white to stand out more, but it looks fine. We are using it more as a

accent piece, but it's quite functional. We hung it on the wall next to our bar at the cottage. It's filled with Asprin, Pepto, all the classic hang over meds. It's mostly for show and a laugh, but I have opened it up a few times for some asprin after being overserved. It's a cute fun piece. Good experience with seller. It arrived very well packaged and is a very good quality first aid kit.

Zippo Emergency Fire Starter Kit

Zippo Outdoor Line Emergency Fire StarterWorks as advertised.

I found the easiest way to open the wax starters is to twist them.

Have your tinder stacked on top of the starter, I was able to lite the starter on the first or second try each time.

I have already ordered replacement wax starters, and you will need them if you plan to try this out before hand.

If there is one drawback to the device it is that the o-ring only seals with some effort.

I have some concern that it would remain closed and waterproof.

This little thing rocks. I have a full collection of fire-steels and tinders, fire-starting materials, etc. I have probably 20+ different ways to start fires, and this is one of my favorites. The tinder sticks light easily when fluffed, and burn plenty long enough to ignite your sticks and what-not. The case is very solid very Zippo. Its weight feels slightly heavier than a regular zippo lighter. There is an o-ring type gasket around the opening where the lid closes snugly.

Compared to the spark lite kit i'd say this has a higher quality feel to it, and the container seems more water-proof. On the downside, it is considerably heavier than the spark lite kit, and less 'modular' One can achieve a more compact and lightweight kit with the spark lite by putting just one or two tinders in a small baggie with the striker. The zippo's striker does come out, but it's not really meant to be carried around that way.

This is a solid, reliable product and i would recommend it to anyone.

Buy Zippo Emergency Fire Starter Kit Now

It is a flint sparker with a storage area for some fire-starters. That's all there really is to it.

Surprisingly heavy with a sturdy feeling a little more so than the regular Zippo lighters. There is a flipper there, just like the Zippo lighters and you can get the familar opening sound.

However, when closing, the o-ring deadens the sound and prevents full closure of the lid, until you actually press down properly. A good thing as it indicates that the o-ring is squeezing on the lid, which should keep the innards water-tight. I threw it in a sink of water and didn't notice any water ingress.

Having said that, I would recommend using a wide rubber band (like the type made from bicycle inner tubes) to ensure that the lid remains closed, but even if it were to open and flood the insides, the tinder would not be affected and you can quickly dry out the sparker by shaking or blowing out the excess water, followed by quickly striking it a few times.

The sparker is just as you would find on any Zippo lighter, except that it is turned 90 degrees so that the sparks fly out the front (i.e. the wide face) of the device. You pull it straight out and replace the flint by unscrewing the bottom, just like a typical Zippo. However, the screw does not have knurling on it to aid in grip, so you may have to use a coin or screw driver to loosen it. There isn't anywhere to store a spare flint, but each one should be good for quite a lot of strikes.

Replacing the sparker, you must note the direction of the wheel. You can accidentally insert it such that the wheel would throw the sparks on to the tinder.

I don't seem to be able to remove the black parts of the innards and I don't think you are meant to.

The tinder is pretty standard waxed cotton wool. It lights easily once you have frayed it and burns well. Twisting it seems to be the easiest way to fray it. They can be replaced with home-made versions if you don't want to shell out for the original stuff.

All round it is a good, sturdy, fire-lighting device, which can pretty much be operated with only 1 hand. It is too heavy for ultralight hikers, but should be alright for bug-out-bags, daily use (if you have a fire-place), multi-member expeditions (like a scouts camp), vehicular camping, etc.

Read Best Reviews of Zippo Emergency Fire Starter Kit Here

Ordered this as an item to be included in my BOB (bug out bag). Quality does not live up to my expectation of Zippo products. Lid will not seat completely on the o-ring thus negating the waterproof aspect. Quality control on the tolerances could be improved.

Want Zippo Emergency Fire Starter Kit Discount?

It's very easy to start a fire with this kit. I had never started a fire from a spark before and it was very easy to do with this kit. I followed the instructions regarding opening up the tinder and spreading it out. That made it easy to catch a spark after only a few attempts. Once the tinder caught a spark, it burst into flames very quickly. The tinder itself doesn't burn as long as other larger firestarters, but using proper fire building techniques, this would be great in an emergency situation and much easier than using a match or a regular lighter. I'm using it as part of the emergency gear I have in my RV so I can "pack and forget" and have no worries about stale matches or evaporated lighter fluid.

I like that it's packaged in a Zippo case the familiar Zippo "click" when you open it. I recommend buying a refill kit with it Zippo Tinder Sticks For Emergency Fire Starter so that you can test it out when you first get it. The kit itself only comes with four tinders.

FIRST RESPONDER TRAUMA BAG- FULLY STOCKED- BLUE

FIRST RESPONDER TRAUMA BAG- FULLY STOCKED- BLUEI purchased this kit as a starter kit and it fit the bill perfectly. It comes with everything you will need to respond to most emergencies. I did add a few items that I thought were important also. I added a ambu bag, a SAM splint, a better tourniquet, some ACE bandages, and a few 1 gallon ziplock bags. I had a paramedic check out the bag to get his thoughts on what else I could use and he said that the set-up that I had rivaled some of the trauma kits that the full time EMTs carry. This is a very through kit for the price. I am only certified as a first responder, so this has everything that I need for my level of education.

I just finished EMT training, and was looking for a great starting medical kit and a decent bag. This kit has it all, huge assortment of items and everything an EMT needs to get started. The bag is good quality, tough and durrable, waterproof bottom, and opens easily. However, the divides inside the bag that seperate compartments tend to be troublesome, often shifting too much and collasping unintentionally. This is my only complaint though. Overall, this item was above and beyond what I was expecting. Items contained are vast in number, and contain almost everything basic life support requires. I would advise adding more gloves (only comes with 1 pair), perhaps a BVM, maybe a C-collar, and additional splints. Great product!

Adventure Medical Kits Dental Medic Kit

Adventure Medical Kits Dental Medic KitNobody has to be told how much a toothache can hurt. I have had toothaches before that have throbbed so heavily that I would have gladly traded it for a shotgun blast to a limb anytime. Toothaches inflict us for different reasons. Sometimes its a tooth that we know was giving us trouble for quite a while, and now it has decided to gain our attention with a vengeance. Other times its a filling that falls out where the nerve can possibly be exposed, a loose crown or bridge, or even a broken tooth after an accident. Anyone that has had any of these unfortunate events befall them know how extremely painful it can sometimes be. And, we all know how our dentist just seems to feel a disturbance in the force beforehand, and be off somewhere on a beach enjoying lobster and cracked crab just when we need them most. We could very well end up being at the mercy of trusting some unknown prospector with a dental pic, and at the very least being in the hole for a whole lot of hard earned cash.

The Adventure Medical Dental Kit is something I have had along in my car on every vacation, and in my backpack on every wilderness excursion for years now. And on a hike in 2006, I actually ended up needing it. A fresh filling from a couple of months before suddenly took a notion to come tumbling out, and in just a few minutes I was feeling the aching that was sure to turn into agony eventually. (I had waited for some time before going to the dentist, and the hole he drilled rivaled the grand canyon). I was at least 2 hours away from an established trail, and in another state in any event upon my arrival back in civilization. This kit contained all that I needed to set a good solid temporary filling that along with some oil of clove that is also included in the kit, eventually quelled the pain entirely. I decided to trust it and not cut my hike short. I never felt a thing for the entire rest of the trip, or on the way home.

The Dental Medic Kit contains materials for temporary fillings, pain tincture, cement for loose crowns, and even material for temporary bridge repair. Just try to imagine being far away from home or civilization for any given reason and having such a painful emergency arise. This kit is a must carry along for any excursion that takes you beyond your city limits in my opinion. It is very reasonably priced, easy to use, and has very clear instructions. And, it is also something that is very hard to find anywhere but online. I advise you to pick it up here on Amazon. And one last thing. Despite the other reviewer here that made it a direct point in making us all aware that this kit is for temporary repair only, my own personal experience was that there was definitely no big rush. I ended up keeping my temp repair for almost 2 months before I finally got around to getting it professionally repaired. (I had to locate another dentist that filled teeth that actually stay filled). The kit itself makes it perfectly clear that all its repairs are for emergencies, and on a temporary basis. They are certainly not going to be so stupid as to tell you that "the repair is cool, so don't knock yourself out". "Whenever you get around to it". The real truth as to its being transitory lies somewhere between racing off to the dentist like a maniac, and moseying on over there 6 months later, or if an when you ever think of it. Most repairs done with this kit will last for quite a reasonable amount of time. (Unless its strictly an aching tooth from decay. All this kit will offer then is pain killer, that will eventually get overwhelmed, and so will you. Get to a dentist). If you end up having to use this kit for any other reason, relax, it makes a very good temporary repair. Don't venture far from home without it. Highly recommended...

This kit includes some very poorly written instructions on a small piece of paper. Not really an instruction manual. It includes mainly common items you already havetoothpicks, cotton balls, dental floss. I needed the kit for the first time since I bought it (one year ago) today when a filling came out. The one item that I had thought would be useful, the tube of temporary filling repair, turned out to be all dried out and so I could not use it. If something you keep on hand for emergencies does not even last for a year, I have a problem with it. It was not in a hot car, it was in our medicine cabinet. So I am back on Amazon looking for something better, and while I was here I decided to review this kit.

Important I think to have a dental as well as a medical kit around the house and certainly while traveling.

This is a solid basic dental kit. However, like me you may want to add some items to the kit like a mask, nitrate gloves, dental mirror and maybe a hemostat.

If you want to go beyond this basic kit check out Chinook Medical, whom I highly recommend, on the web as they offer some good alternatives at slightly more cost.

The kit is designed for TEMPORARY relief of pain associated with a dental/oral injury or mishap. The kits is designed for those who will not be able to access dental care for a short period of time.

The kit is lacking in one key ingredient; ideally, it should have a (liquid) medium to store a dislocated tooth in while travelling to a dental office for reimplantation. In a pinch, milk will suffice.

Dental fillings can be lost for several reasons: decay, fracture, or a faulty filling. It is important to realize that this is a temporary fix and not meant to last weeks or months. If your tooth has decay in it, the decay will continue to progress despite the temporary. Get to a dentist and have the tooth repaired professionally.
