Some people's body chemistry attracts bugs more than others. I'm one of those. When out for a walk with others, I'm their best bug repellent. Seriously. Bugs find me, have a snack, then go home to tell their friends.

I used to suffer with Deet. While it did a great job keeping them away, it irritated my skin. I simply had to choose which of two bad choices I prefer. (I went with the Deet, then showered it off as soon as back inside. Itching takes a few days to go away).

Then I found these. I bought an 8-pack and paid the shipping (I'm a Prime member, but that size wasn't Prime-eligible) and tried it for a walk in a state forest yesterday morning. I was out about 3 hours and did not need to reapply (I would have with the Deet wipes). No skin irritation.

I just ordered more in the double-pack size to avoid shipping charges.

Completely protected me in Costa Rica and in the southeast USA. Very light weight solution for bugs. One wipe is enough to protect a grown man or two children for eight hours. No significant odor or skin feel. And unlike DEET, it is safe to use with sunscreen. I always keep an extra in my pocket when I am out! I have to take water soluble versions of ADEK vitamins due to having duodenal switch weight loss surgery. These are one of few products available and the company uses this fact to overcharge, IMHO. I recently found a multivitamin with extra ADEK that is made for DS patients and is substantially cheaper per month. Gold Bond Gold Bond Body Powder Medicated

This stuff has been around even longer than I have which is saying something. I started using this powder when I was a kid and was very involved in sports. I have been using it ever since. This stuff has been a life saver (well, that is an exaggeration for sure, but it has relived a lot of pain and discomfort over the years).

I can only speak here for guys but playing football, baseball on hot summer days, running track events can and does cause major chaffing and itching in the groin area and thighs and when it comes to biking; your hind quarters. That is simply a fact. This product relives the pain, itching and soreness and prevents it from becoming worse.

As I grew older the football and baseball went to the wayside but the distance running, bicycling and hiking continue to this day. The chaffing and such continue to be a problem and I continue to use this powder. It most certainly has a soothing effect and most certainly has preventive powers. Anyone who participates in long distance running or hiking needs this product in their kit bag. I know of few hikers who do not carry this stuff with them. While serving in the heat of the Far East quite a number of years ago, this stuff was worth its weight in gold...well, at least a box of Cool-Ade mix or three cold beers.

The scent is slightly medicated which I do not particularly like, but as long as I get relief it is a small price to pay and I could care less if I smell a bit like a medicine cabinet...far better to have a hint of medicine about you than to be constantly scratching your groin "area" and thighs in public!

I also find Gold Bond Powder to be quite effective for minor breakouts of poison ivy and chigger bites as it relives the itching.

All in all, I love this product and cannot remember a time that I was without it. Amazing that this stuff has been around since about 1907 or 1903 and is still a favorite of many...that alone will tell you much.

My mom use to use this on me as a kid when calamine lotion didn't do the trick. I am less allergic to poison oak and ivy now, i still am allergic, but it does not spread as bad.

I got poison oak last weekend and I turned to this old fave. I use it as a lotion, and also as a wash. Glass Medication Dropper

Dr. Scholl's Moleskin have been in my hiking/backpacking first aid kit for years. Fortunately, I have been lucky and never had to use moleskin until last week on an extremely isolated backpacking trip miles away from civilization. I developed a blister and hot spot on the back of my heal and Achilles tendon area. Each step was very painful. I immediately addressed the issue by applying Dr. Scholl's Moleskin to the area. The adhesive worked great and did not come off until I took it off. I put my sock and hiking boot back on and went about the rest of the trip with absolutely no pain and no further damage. I was very impressed how the padding protected the area, prevented it from getting worse, and allowed me to continue on pain free. It is amazing how much relief a little pad can provide. I am glad that I keep moleskin in my kit and will continue to do so in the future.

The cover roll stretch acts as the first layer, directly on the skin. It provides no support at all, but sticks to the skin well, even when you get sweaty from sports. It's very stretchy so it moves with the knee. As a base layer it holds well so the Leukotape can do it's job.

A knee injury had me looking for methods to stablize/aid the joint. I tried this tape as well as the Kinesio Classic and here are my findings. First of all, I did the taping myself with my son's help (he's a personal trainer). I haven't been to the doctor since I know I'll be sent to this place and that for multiple tests, xrays and an MRI. Problem is, walking makes it worse so I'm hoping that with rest, elevation and taping it will heal on its own. If it doesn't, of course, I'll bite the bullet and take the medical route, but after years of horse injuries (both to them and me) I know things often heal on their own with time.

I bought both these types of tape, not knowing which might work the best. The Kinesio is a slightly better deal as you get 13.5 yards as opposed to 10 yards for this product for about the same price.

This product is lighter and has a smoother finish, but is not nearly as stretchy as the Kinesio. I have very sensitive skin and neither product caused a skin problem. This product is easy to remove from the backing as the backing paper is split down the middle so you only have to fold it a bit to get a corner of the paper to pull off. Actually though, I found application of the Kinesio was a bit easier once I got a corner of the backing free because the single strip of backing could be pulled away as you applied the tape which reduces opportunities for the tape to catch and stick to itself.

The real difference in the two types is in the finish, the weight and stretch. When you want to tape around the knee cap, for example, you need the tape to stretch and 'bend' so it lays smoothly. You want to support the joint/muscle, not immobilize it. If you need that level of help, you probably have a more serious problem that requires professional attention. In my case, I use this tape only in places that don't need to accommodate movement.

The slightly smoother finish means the tape is less likely to be pulled away by clothing like slacks or a shirt worn over the taped area. The lighter weight seems like it would be a bit cooler although I haven't noticed a difference. It stays on really well. In the end though I just find the Kinesio tape more comfortable because of the stretch feature. If you need to tape an area that doesn't require movement, though, this tape is a good choice.

It is o.k . It is helpful for knee and ankle problem. no useful for wrist , hip and other part of body.

Great first aid kit for kids! I must say the Latex-free fun animal shaped bandages are cute & stay on well. Of course my son hates getting Boo-Boos but always enjoys picking out his fun animal bandages which keeps his mind off of his booboo. The "Boo-Boo Juice" (foam wound cleanser) and Antiseptic cleansing wipes are sting-free which makes cleaning the wound so much easier.

On top of giving him a fun bandage, he gets a bravery sticker and mom gets an appreciation sticker. It also comes with Antibiotic cream packets, Cold pack, 72" Gauze roll, Gauze pads, Tweezers, a Toy stethoscope and the case is really cute. LOVE IT!!!

I ordered this kit and received a very small version without anything but a few bandaids stickers and gauze pads.... There is no reason to leave a star, except my son liked the little case....

Like the 1 star reviewer, I also mistakenly received the mini version. I purchased 2 of this kit from amazon seller Moore86 (Moore for less) and received 2 miniatures today. When I emailed them and pointed out their mistake (which was clear to me since I had ordered the larger kit in the past from amazon, same page, same product) they were extremely prompt in responding and very polite, and refunded my money just a few hours later. They also let me keep the small kits at no charge.

The miniature version is easy to tell from the real thing. It is less than 1/5 of this kit. It treats around 52 cuts (and says so on the back), while this one treats 256. The small kit of course has none of the extras that make the kit fun (like the "booboo juice" that kids love, or the toy stethoscope to provide destraction). I'm glad to have the small kits to put in my purse, but annoyed at the long process to get the real kits, so overall my experience is a wash. Regardless, I am grateful I do not need to return the small kits and impressed with the seller. They dealt with their mistake beautifully, and I would shop with them again.

Another key to telling the kits apart is the smaller kit does not have the word "bravery" in it--instead it says "family kit."

The kit itself, the real "bravery" one, I used for the past two years and finally need to replace it as many pieces are used up, missing or out of date. I would give it a solid five stars for use with kids, just because it provides distraction and a bit of fun when they feel like crying, and they come to trust that the "booboo juice" doesn't hurt (and I am happy with it because it makes it easy to clean scraped knees when we are not near a sink). Based on the reviews, it is actually getting the kit that is the problem. I'm going to try to buy it again today with two new (and different) vendors and I will update my review when they arrive.

I received my order, one from "eyesacrosstexas" and one from "A Second Read." Both are the miniature, 52 boo-boo kits as well. I emailed both of the sellers, and they emailed me back today and promised to issue a refund through amazon payments, and they both let me keep the small kit. They were both really nice sellers and fast responders.

I ordered two kits for a third time, hopefully the final time, from "Merchandise 4 Less." In order to avoid the entire process again, as soon as I placed my order I emailed them and asked them to check their inventory to ensure that they are shipping the right product. Their response was prompt and reassuring, and they said, "Our kit is the real thing, exactly as described, stethoscope and all, treats over 265 boo-boos. It comes shrink wrapped from the manufacturer, unopened and never tampered with. You have come to the right place."

I highly recommend this kit, but I also recommend contacting the seller as soon as you place your order to ensure that it is indeed the "bravery" kit that treats 256 injuries.

Getting two of these kits was almost more trouble than it was worth, but hopefully my persistence straightens the issue out for other customers. In the end, all the sellers were very nice and I got four free miniature kits for my trouble, so I can't complain! :)
