I highly recommend Camp Suds. I have used it for years on camping trips, bicycle treks, horseback progressive ride/camp trips, and general travel. Camp Suds does it all: hair, skin, dishes, and clothing. I was very disappointed when I went to REI today to buy a refill to find that they now carry a 'house brand' that requires that you buy several different products to do what one bottle of Camp Suds does with one. Our camp soap (campsuds) showed up just in time for our egress to the outdoors! I looked around for reviews on this soap because though I wanted a earth-friendly and effective soap for our camping expedition it was important that it smelled good too! Especially if I'm going to use it on my hair and skin! It has a nice piney, grassy smell which seals the deal for me. I used this to clean our dishes, pots, hands, skin and my hair! A little does go a long way (compared to other household soaps) but we did go through quite a bit of it. We're going to have to get a bigger bottle for our next outing, but the key here is that we will be buying again!

I just finished a month long bike trip with 2 friends. The three of us used only 1/2 of the 8oz bottle in the 26 days we were actually out camping. Granted, we are/were very careful with it, yet we used as much as it took to get stuff clean. Like others said, VERY little is needed -like 4 DROPS into a pan/bowl to wash all the dishes in; a few drops for a T-shirt, etc. We used it for dishes, showering, and clothes, hands (to get bike grease off).

Comes with a GREAT cap that helps with minimizing over-pour-age.

DormDoc Student First Aid/OTC Med Kit - 120 Piece

I got this for my college student daughter. As another reviewer noted, the packaging is flimsy. All 120 items are in two pouches, like the plastic pencil pouches you put in a three-ring binder. When my daughter tried to use the first aid supplies in the first pouch, she couldn't get them to fit back into the pouch. After several attempts, the "zipper" came off the track and won't close. The same thing happened with the second pouch containing all the medications. Also, she'll use the ibuprofen, but the only cold medicine has a pain reliever AND a cough medication AND an expectorant AND a decongestant in it. The phenylephrine decongestant made her "jittery", so she can't use the combination medicine. I wish she could take just the medicine she needs for the symptoms she has. Anyway, It's an interesting idea, but next time I'll put the money into different supplies in a sturdier container.

Arrived very fast however its mostly sample sizes, and the zippered pouch broke as soon as I unzipped it. Very cheap plastic. This is very expensive for what you get. I am questioning the honesty of the other reviews on this item.

MDF® ER PremierTM Stethoscope Color: Black

I'm an RN working CCU. I've had mine for a year. The sound is acceptable for general physical and lung/heart sounds assessment and the tubing is long enough for my needs. I can easily hear murmurs and bruits and faint lung sounds. But the stethoscope has some design issues. The heavy weight tubing is stiff and the connection between the diaphragm/bell is too loose for my liking. This combination causes the connection between the two to twist and lose it's ability to conduct any sound. I have to adjust my grip, angle, and sometimes ear pieces in order to get a good assessment done. This really slows me down, especially if a quick assessment is necessary. It's a durable stethoscope, but it's design slows down assessments. Also, the pediatric diaphragm is difficult to remove and put back on. It takes some bending and prying to get it right. I'm switching to an easily convertible stethoscope such as ADC or Prestige. I've given it 3/5 for its sound.

Great stethoscope although heavier than littman sound quality much better. Mdf are the ones who made littman famous the they become competitors when they broke apart littman are made from aluminum and mdf from stainless steel since it is more dense than aluminum it conducts sound better so therefor the added weight i currently own both stethoscopes and prefer the mdf for sound quality

Breathe Right Nasal Strips, Extra, 26-Count Box

I've been a regular user of Breathe Right strips for years. When I tried these, I was impressed. There was a noticeable difference between these and the other strips I'd been using (small tan). I don't intend to go back to regular Breathe Right strips. However, I use them primarily for sleep. They're rather wide, so if you use them in public (for workouts, etc.), you may find them to be too unsightly. Also, they say they're one size fits all. I had no problem with the size (obviously), but I can't speak for how they'll fit others (they are a little longer than Breathe Rights smalls). I definitely recommend trying them.

I have seen these strips advertised for years but bought them on impulse a few days ago because I was desperate for some quality sleep and tired of being told I sounded like a threshing machine by my darling man.

I have a deviated septum but the main issue for me is that I am nearly 9 months pregnant and for months I have been suffering with even more than usual nasal congestion due to all the hormones. This product has made a real difference.

I have used it for the last two nights. It looks ridiculous but it works.

I had assumed that the mechanism that made it work was that it kind of squished down on the bridge of the nose, pushing out the nostrils. However, once I applied the strip I realised that I had got it wrong. The strip actually "pulls" out the nostrils on each side, thereby giving you a wider nostril to breathe through on both sides.

I am interested to know if there will be any long-term problems with this product for me as it does contain latex and it is very close to eyes and delicate skin. However, after two days I have had no skin reaction that I can see.

It doesn't come off very easily but I take it off in the shower after letting it soak for a few secs in the hot water stream and also lathering it with soap.

At this stage of being pregnant, a good night's sleep is worth its weight in gold. So, for the price, it has already paid for itself.

By the way, the other thing that has helped tremendously is using nasal irrigation e.g. a netti pot .

The netti pot works particularly well at the beginning of the night but by 1-2am I am stuffed up again.

So, for the last two nights I have used the netti pot and then put on the Breathe Right strip. My nasal passages still get more clogged as the night progresses but so far I haven't reached a point where I can't breathe through my nose. The relief is wonderful.

I don't know how to rate these. Do they open your nose and help you breathe? Absolutely. They definately work better than the clear version that I had used for years. But Extra have industrial strength glue and it hurts to remove them. Really hurts. After 2 weeks of use, I removed the one this morning to see I have two bloody patches where a layer of skin is gone. After my sores heal, I'll try them again and hold a soapy wet washcloth to my nose before removal as others have done. I hope that works because bleeding wounds are a deal breaker. (BTW, anyone else wonder if their nostrils will get so baggy after long term use that even their daytime breathing will be compromised?)

Ok i was a little bit skeptical trying this because i had tried everything prior to this. I'm a very noisy snorer and had my butt kicked by my wife many times during my sleep time. I've been using the "Extras" during 5 nights now. My wife cannot tell if i still snore... but at least SHE'S NOT WAKING UP during her sleep time. Yes, it sticks like no other thing, so you have to remove it very carefully to not hurt your nose; i suggest you to remove it in the shower.

To me the only downside is that they are too small for big nosed guys like me. They barely reaches my nosetrils but they open it wide enough for me to breathe better.

Bemis Suction Canister 800cc

Price is good but doesn't work well. I used this canister as replacement canisyer for a Drive suction machine. Construction is not the same as the original canister. Right off, the suction power seemed reduced. I use the suction machine once a day, and clean and dry the canister each time after use. The canister failed after less than one month of use simply would not hold any suction at all. It came with no instructions so really don't know how to troubleshoot. In contrast, the orognal canister lasted about four months, and was still working when i decided to replace it with a fresh one. Going to try another brand.

i bought this canister to have an extra one on hand for my home suction machine. It fit my machine perfectly. No complaints.

I have a Schuco 130 pump. I purchased it used in order to use it for doing splash racking and degassing of wine we make. Besides not wanting to have a used canister, the one it came with was broken. I replaced it with this suction canister. For my uses, pretty much no wine ever touches this canister as its purpose to take any overflow mistake and prevent wine from entering the pump itself.

I've used this canister a number of times. No leaks and hold the full vacuum pressure the pump is able to provide. Tubing fits tightly on the canister and I have no complaints cheapest of its kind and does what I need it to do.

It's basically saline solution with a very small amount (.057%) of sodium hypochlorite. Now, is sodium hypochlorite so new ultra modern and expensive chemical? No. It's bleach. Plain ol' bleach. As pointed out by other reviewers this is just bleach and saline solution. I thought about using a light bleach solution before for use on skin and never tried it. For those that don't know, adding a proper amount of bleach to water is on way to make it drinkable for safe use.

The minute the box arrived you could smell the bleach. It works. It is just over priced. If I was working for a business I may be ok with the price, but for personal use, I will just mix up a home batch when this runs out (and triple check the calculations and test try it out on different material to make sure it doesn't bleach anything). I

I notice as of this writing today (Jan 2013) that the 12 oz bottle is only $2-3 more.

There is a gel version too.

Redmond RealSalt Redmond Clay

This is my experiences using Redmond clay. I began using Redmond clay hesitantly around 2001. I use it all the time now. It is so versatile in its uses; digestive aid, detoxifier, wounds, beauty, etc. One of my favorite uses is facials. I use to have adult acne a lot. I would mix Redmond clay with olive oil, honey, essential oils and/or seaweed. And let it set on my face for 20+ minutes. The olive oil kept the clay moist. (When mixed with only clay and water it would dry my skin out and make it itch.) When I would use it every night for a week, my skin tone improved, acne diminished, my dark circles under my eyes faded, and the smaller wrinkles did not seem as noticeable. I would use Redmond clay just because of how it feels on my face. It is like a little bit of heaven.

Using it for wounds has greatly helped my cats and I. My first example is I am allergic to a common house spider where I live and every year it and I have to meet for some dumb reason. I get really lethargic and weak. The more I touch the bite the more it spreads and the sicker I get. I found out that Redmond clay can pull out poisons. As soon as I would get the bite I would mix lavender and Redmond clay together and put a bandage over it. As the lavender dried I would add another drop to keep it wet. The clay would pull the venom to a head and I found that I was not stuck in bed for a week or so.

One time I was bite by a stray cat at night, and 6 hours later my hand was swelling up fast. The following morning the doctor told me if we did not get the swelling down fast, I would have to go into surgery soon. I applied Redmond clay onto the bite and was amazed how fast the infection was pulled to the surface of my skin.

My cat was bit (probably by the same stray). She got a huge cyst on the side of her head (the size of a golf ball). A couple days later it popped. I sprinkled a dash of Redmond clay in warm water with tea tree and lavender essential oils. I have been washing her wound with that. The infection has drained out and it looks like the worst of it is over.

I have found that Redmond clay works as a great detoxifier for me and helps with any of my stomach problems. I add a 1/4 teaspoon to a glass of water. Just after stirring it together, it tastes earthy but not strongly of dirt. First time I did this I cringed at the thought of drinking it. I let the part that does not dissolve settle to the bottom. After half a minute it is still opaque but funny thing is my water now tastes better. (Our summer water tends to taste pretty bad.) If it feels gritty, I just add more water and drink the top portion.

I have many other uses for it. One is I every so often get a nasty canker and using Redmond clay on it helps the sore to feel better and heal faster. The clay does not hurt to put it on my canker. I love the benefit of using Redmond clay and will continue to use it for the rest of my life.

I use Redmond Clay as a mineral supplement for myself. I put 1 tsp in a glass of good quality water(ex:spring water), I stir, leave it over night. In the morning the clay rests at the botton of the glass and I just drink the water. I do that for 21 days then I stop for a week and do it again 2 times. Last year our dog had tummy problems for a few days. I gave her once a day a tsp of Redmond Clay mixed with 1 tbs of plain yogurt and she was completely fine after 2 days. In Europe we use green clay for a lot of things including in skin care as the clay can absorbs toxins and some bacterias.

Redmond Clay is the answer to the external glow we see in yogis and hippies skin everywhere.

21st Century Melatonin 5 mg Tablets, 120-Count

I've had problems falling asleep, but never tried any kind of sleeping pills until a few years ago. Of the couple of brands I've tried, this one seems to work the best, and is a great deal too. I hadn't seen this brand before until last month, but since it was the only one the store had in stock that was 5mg, I decided to give it a shot. Man, that first night, I was out and didn't wake up until I got a full 8 hours of sleep. Since then, there have only been a few times where I needed to take another tablet, or they didn't seem to kick in at all, but that probably has more to do with whatever I ate a little before, or just thinking about too much when I'm laying there, as I usually do.

The bottle recommends to take one tablet 30 minutes before you go to bed, and that's about how long it takes to kick in. I don't feel drowsy or sluggish after waking up, and the times I've had to wake up early (5-6 hours after I go to bed), the alarm woke me up, so that's a sign that these things don't practically put you in a coma. There's no taste or smell to these either.

For people like me that work nights and have trouble falling asleep, or people that just need help going to sleep, I highly recommend these tablets. I'll be sticking with this brand for a while.

I do not have terrible insomnia but from time to time, I can't shut my mind down. I really like that I just feel sleepy, not drugged or groggy. I sleep soundly and wake up rested. Never had any lingering feelings of sleepiness. One thing that may be a side effect are weird dreams. Lots of them. Not bad ones, just strange. Doesn't keep me from taking one if I need it, though.

The other 5% of the time it is gone by the next day. It is also very good for dry skin or when working in the yard and your fingers get tore up. I even use it after laying cement to soothe the skin. There is nothing like it in the stores I have tried!

Many years ago Vaseline quit making what they called Carbolated Vaseline, which was a great product for small scrapes, chapped lips and crotch rot. Forget that waxy old stuff called Chapstick. Petro-Carbo contains carbolic acid and really works well. This stuff is good and you only need a very small amount. A tin should last a long time. It's well worth the price.

Let's make this very clear, it is not help for breast cancer. It is however, excellent for treatment of the burned skin radiation therapy causes.

My wife's Radiology M.D. recommended this to be used twice a day while my wife is undergoing radiation therapy for her breast cancer. I've been using this on my shoulders, where I have an internal neck injury. I read that Calendula might help reduce inflammation and even possibly break up some scar tissue and that's why I started using it. I cannot say if it's doing that, but I keep putting it on. I also cannot say is this might be helping my headaches, but they have been better. Calendula is also helpful in burns and I swim a lot so put this on after. If nothing else, it's a nice lotion and I'll continue using it.
