If you have fragile skin or are sensitive to tape adhesives this is the tape for you. It is great for bandaging wounds in awkward positions. I had carpal tunnel surgery and it held medicated gauze in place with a single strip. Any other bandage would have required wrapping my hand with a large wad of cotton holding the medicated gauze in place.

Aug 2011: When my daughter was younger, she like most kids, liked the bandages with characters on them. But then about 6 mos ago normal bandages regardless of the brand started to bother her skin a lot. Lots of crying when they needed to come off and leaving redness for a long time and sometimes raised skin (sort of small welt-like). Soon she would either not put bandages on cuts or put one on and it'd stay for days and days. I started looking in stores for sensitive skin bandages and found none (even though I knew at least one brand used to make them). Found these on Amazon and success. My daughter might still fuss a little bit but will put these on, and even has started to take them off herself without crying when it's time to clean the cut and put on a new bandage.______________________
Sept 2012: So, coming back about 1 year later. These bandages are great for sensitive skin. My daughter (4 now) never fusses or cries about putting on or taking off bandages. Last year I said she had even started to remove them herself without crying. Well, now she prefers to take them off herself when they need changing or are no longer needed. We have continued to buy these for her to use. Highly recommend them. She likes to look at the character bandages sometimes, but never asks to buy them anymore (and I just finished off the last box of Disney bandages myself)...

important. -ONE REQUESTHave not been able to find the larger surface bandaids that are needed for larger areas.
Not too much but when the pad on these are so small and the
adhesive around the pad can possible attach to the injury.
Need a larger bandaid to handle this. Sometimes the no-stick pads are too
large and require paper tape a larger bandaid would be really helpful.

My kit was in like new condition when received. I used it to patch two holes in the bottom of a 24' above ground pool under 12,500 gallons of water. I applied the patches as per the directions and it worked like magic. I have since checked the patches (2 weeks later) and they are "welded" to the liner.You basically cut a patch about 2 to 3 inches in diameter, squirt on a generous amount of glue then fold the patch in half like a taco. Take the patch down to the bottom of the pool (yes even under water) and firmly spread it over the hole. Squeeze out the excess glue to the edges. You will have to come up for air a few times but keep returning to the area and press the patch down working the glue out to the edge. After two or three times the patch is stuck and stuck good!!
The people having problems with this kit probably have an incompatible surface they are trying to bond too. The glue smells like a gelled MEK substance that actually melts the vinyl a bit.

Normally, I can't even get a minor cut or scrape that doesn't end with a bad infection. The instructions tell you to mix the contents of the package in 1/4 cup of warm water and then add more (cool) water after you get it dissolved. The first pack of lemon powder that I dumped into a measuring cup with exactly 1/4 cup of warm water immediately turned into a giant gooey blob, like the previous reviewer mentioned. After about 3-4 minutes of using a spoon to try and break the blob up (which insisted on sticking firmly to the spoon!), I finally just stuck my bare hand in the solution and tried to break it up by grinding it between my fingers. 6-7 minutes into this process, I finally had the goo mostly broken up. So I got another pack out for trial run #2, but this time I used about 1 cup of very warm water and attempted to vigorously stir the water with one hand while trying to dump very gradual, small amounts of the powder into the fast-moving water. This definitely worked better, but it would have been easier if I had three hands instead of two. This time the powder dissolved pretty well. I suppose if you were at home and had a blender handy, that would be the best way to mix this stuff. If you were in the backcountry and had only cool stream water to mix it with...well good luck! So problem number one is the difficulty in mixing. Problem number two was the absolutely horrendous taste...of the lemon anyway. I mean you mix this stuff up so that it's diluted in a full liter of water, so you have quite a task in front of you in terms of drinking disgusting tasting water when you're already possibly sick and nauseated. I'm very let down by this product. Maybe the proportions of ingredients are top notch in terms of electrolytes/glucose. I don't know. What I do know is that it's not very user friendly and tastes like a liquid turd! I'm going to start searching for another option for sure.

If these were elastic instead of plastic I would give them a higher rating. Unfortunately the plastic doesn't allow the wound to breathe and thus the skin starts getting sweaty/oily quicker and ruins the adhesive. They work if you don't mind having to put on a fresh one every hour.

I would not want to perform surgery with these tools, but they are nice for having inexpensive tools around the house with which to reach into tight spaces and retrieve small objects.

Years ago I had purchased several 4x4 waterjel burn dressings individual packages, stuck them in my car's emergency kit, and then forgot them. Then after a terrifying car accident in the rain, my family and I were stranded in the middle of the interstate. We were basically okay, except for my husband the driver who had painful 3rd degree burns on both hands from the airbags exploding in the car. I whipped out these packets, tore them open, placed the gauze on his burns, and poured the remaining gel over them. The pain subsided and the burns were kept clean. In fact when the ambulance got there 45 minutes later (and this was downtown Dallas), the medics told us that they really had nothing to add to the waterjel treatment. That the ER would have done little different. They also told us that these airbag burns were very common.I have now put Waterjel products in my house medical cabine and all three of our cars. In fact, I think our whole extended family has now bought and carry these with them.
I burned my hand on boiling hot water, I was in undescribable pain. After using the burn dressing and was able to tolerate the healing the process as well as sleep confortably.
