I wil continue to use tape to prevent the bunion formation as I have for years. Buzzy Pain Relief System ~ Takes the Sting out of Shots!
Buy Buzzy Pain Relief System ~ Takes the Sting out of Shots! Now
I saw Buzzy when it was featured The Rachel Ray Show a couple of months ago. I had to order it when they showed a child receiving shots and she didn't even cry--she actually said it didn't hurt at all. We received Buzzy with easy to follow instructions. Includes a blue gel wing ice pack and 2 disposable ice packs. You have to add 2 tsp. of water to the disposable ice packs and then freeze them. They can be refrozen at this point. Also comes with a soft velcro strap to hold it onto your child's arm or leg.The bee vibrates and when used with the ice pack, it numbs the area. What's amazing is that it really works...
Pros:
-Reasonable price ($34.95) for a reusable medical grade device
-Older kids love to bring it with them to the doctor to protect them against the pain of immunizations. Can also be used for babies as well.
-Has multiple uses--not just for shots, also great for boo boos and ouchies
-Small and portable, super cute and friendly to children.
Cons:
-Must remember to freeze separate ice pack before trips to the doctor
-Everyone in the neighborhood will want to borrow your Buzzy!
-No free shipping
Also, I went on the website buzzy4shots.com to check the price and they sell a really nice cold bag (called the Cold To Go) which will keep the ice packs cold for transportation.

I use this tape for wrapping my Doberman pups' ears and it is great! It is super sticky but still breathes.I used this as the top dressing while managing a wound and infection on my horse. I used it daily for nine weeks and it worked perfectly. Once it is in place, it provides protection against moisture and dirt as well as providing a secure bandage. I now keep it on hand, just in case. It also does not constrict and thus cut off blood circulation when the area is flexed. I am sure it works as well on people.Special pack of 6 GLOVE CARA COTTON MENS 84 EXLRG
Earth Mama Angel Baby, Bottom Balm
The baby bottom balm works well if you apply it after every diaper change but without going overboard. Oily products can leave a slippery residue which can irritate further. Be sure you're conscious of that. As far as the nipple cream goes, it's a must have for breastfeeding mothers. My nipples get so dry and cracked that I literally winced throughout the day until I found this stuff. A thin layer after feedings and before bed and I'm in the clear. Safe for me, safe for my baby.We use this product on our 8-month-old daughter. She is allergic to zinc oxide (and we refuse to use anything containing petroleum byproducts) and has very sensitive skin. Therefore, there are very few products that we are able to use on her. Of the products we have tried, this is one of the few that worked. This product is truly amazing!
Diaper Area Experience:
My daughter had a really bad yeast rash that we used coconut oil to heal (highly recommend Bronner's Magic All-One Coconut Oil Org Fresh-Pressed Virgin Whole Kernel Unrefined 14 fl oz.). After the bumps were gone, the redness remained. This cleared up the redness in less than 24 hours. We also use it for the redness on her bum after she goes poo. The redness is always gone within the hour.
*We use cloth diapers most of the time. This product is cloth diaper safe, and comes highly recommended on several cloth diapering websites.
Wind Burn Experience:
I put this on my daughter's cheeks before we leave the house to prevent windburn, and it works very well. We were using Babyganics Healin Groovy Protective Ointment, Tube, 3.25-Ounce (Pack of 2), but it didn't seem to help very much.
Vick's Vapor Rub Alternative:
As I mentioned above, we don't like using petroleum byproducts. This is a great alternative to Vick's Vapor Rub. The scent is just strong enough. I like using it in conjunction with Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets 100% Natural Symptomatic Relief for Teething in Children 135 Tablets when my daughter is having a hard time falling asleep due to teething.
BOTTOM LINE:
This is a safe, multifunctional product (cuts down on the amount of products in the diaper bag/nursery/changing table/medicine cabinet) that is perfect for babies with sensitive skin, babies using cloth diapers, and babies of parents who are trying to use more natural products.
*I have read that this product may also be used on cuts/scrapes as a healing balm, but I have not tried it. When I do, I will update my review.

I bought this as a gift, but I will be buying some for me. Not that I have a baby, but just so I can use for my hands, and my children's eczema. Very tiny container, but it goes a LONG way. Bought because I bought cloth diapers for my baby sister and her baby. And you can't use "normal" diaper rash treatment.Read Best Reviews of Earth Mama Angel Baby, Bottom Balm Here
Love the smell and that it's natural and organic, but when it comes to diaper rashes it doesn't seem to work well for us. Desitin helps immediately and usually will clear up a rash in a day for my kids.First off I will say that I use cloth diapers so my options for diaper cream is limited. When she was younger (under 1 year) I didn't know any better so I was using Desitin. Her rashes never went away and I ruined my diapers. I started smelling an odd fishlike smell even when they were clean and they stopping wicking the urine. It took a very long process of stripping my diapers (more than once) to get that out. Eventually, after reading up on it, I realized I had to use a cloth diaper safe cream and Angel Baby Bottom had the best reviews everywhere. Also, my local cloth diaper store recommended it. So far, it has worked the best for me. So well in fact, that my daycare has recommended it to all the moms and many moms have switched with success! My baby's bottom is super sensitive where she will wake up with a poopy diaper and immediately have a rash, every time. This stuff clears it up in one day instantly, always. I love it! It's like a miracle cream. Also it smells natural and clean. I will say that if her rash seems to start getting pretty bad, I will combine Triple Paste with Angle Baby Bottom in her nighttime diaper and in the morning, it's always gone. At night I put her in a disposable so I have no worries using Triple Paste at night. If I used disposbles, Triple Paste is one cream I would also recommend. I should mention, one time her diaper rash got so bad and nothing was working. I knew something else was wrong. I took her to the doctor and sure enough, she had a yeast rash, which is very common and will not go away when treated with any normal diaper creams. You can also use Angel Baby Bottom cream for any minor cuts or scrapes. They will heal right up!Eye wash, screw top, 32 oz.
Bacitracin Ointment W/zinc 0.5 Oz Foil Pack 144/bx Fougera
I happened to try this brand thru my pediatric doc who recommended me to apply this one on my kid's knee who fell badly on the rough floor outside. The whole skin was peeled off and bleeding badly. I put this cream on my kid everyday before he goes to school and after his shower and covered it with bandage. Now there is no scare on his knee. I personally thinks that this is the best antiseptic cream that prevents scare.Whats to say. Its a very effective useful product that has many burn and wound care applications. Bought this to resupply my first aid kits.

Ok, so when I burned my wrist and needed to gauze it up, I had this tape in the first aid kit I brought to school. It worked very well. A few days later I needed tape to finish up a project, and that was all that was at my disposal. It worked like a charm. So far, this tape has been even more useful than duct tape. It's applications go so far beyond medical, it is a great tape to have around whenever you need something stuck up in a jiffy.Read Best Reviews of TENDERSKIN Hypoallergenic Paper Tape 1" x 10 yd Box: 12 Here
I use this tape as additional security for my colostomy bag and it does the job quite well.It is unaffected while washing the area yet peels off nicely when removing.
I'm serious, this tape is a lot more durable than I expected a paper base tape would be.

Z-Pak Dressing
However one fact that I discovered that was slightly disappointing is that while the packages appear to be sealed fine in their protective overpacks. They are not compressed to a rock hard condition like H&H. The issues i have with that are twofold-first, they take up more space, especially with the excess package material, and second, it's harder t tell if the seal (and therefore sterility) has been compromised. If the baseline is rock hard, then if you just discard or use for training the ones that have become soft.
Also I worry that the package itself might get opened more easily due to excess material the four tear-away notches being very easy to use.
Product is made in China and has an NSN: 6510015278329
Overall, I find these to be a good value, and will keep these around the house / shop and in hard cased kits where they won't be subject to too much abuse.Product is useful and was shipping quickly. I keep them in a roll up bag and they are in great shape after heavey use.Great product if you are in an emergency FA incident! Will buy more as need arises. Price is a plus too.....
Medline Grab Bar
I purchased 3 of these Medline Knurled Chrome grab bars(2-24" and 1-32") for my father. I needed the "knurled" feature as these are for the shower stall, and thus needed the texturized grip.
The knurled part of the bar has excelent grip in both wet and dry conditions, and each bar comes with 6-2" wood screws and 2 white rubber installation-end-gaskets to cushion the bar against the wall for installation. They do not come with the plastic anchors for the screws that you need for installation into a concrete wall, those will have to be purchased seperately.
That being said, it's a bar that doesn't stick out too far from the wall, just about 3" (this is important if you have a small-to-medium sized stall, as the bars will reduce the space to move within the stall by anywhere from 3-5" in most cases, PER each side of the stall having a bar). Continuing,.....it's a bar, it works, it looks 1/2 way decent, it does its job quite well and it was/is relatively cheap via Amazon with the Free Super Saver Shipping feature.
The only complaints I have with the bars, are not so much with the actual bars themselves, but rather with two facts.
Fact one: Each bar comes in its own retail box, true, but, during the mailing of the product, Medline packaged each retail box seperately in a HUGE carton shipping box, with lots and lots of padding, so I received 3 incredibly huge-for-the-content and overly stuffed (paper stuffing too) carton boxes. This may seem like a pet-pieve but this just seems senseless for a company to do, especially when the object is to save money when you're shipping for FREE (they tripled their shipping costs and tripled their consumption of paper based shipping materials), and especially when all of the bars were ordered form the same vendor in the same order at the same time, and when part of the FSSS feature is to have the items come in as few shipments as possible. It just seems ecologically unfriendly for the times.
Fact two: The Medline bars, both the 24" and the 32" are advertised as 1.5" knurled diameter bars, but what I received was 3 bars of 1.25" (0.25" smaller) knurled diameter bars (stated on the retail box). I could see maybe one of three bars or maybe the 2 bars of 24" being the lesser-than-advertised diameter, as maybe they were out of stock, but all three? Somebody made a typo on the Amazon description page. I now live outside the continental 48 and it'd be too expensive to send these back up, so I'll just have to live with someone else's mistake. (Thankfully my father has smaller hands than me, so maybe this was supposed to be, but still......advertise it correctly or get the order right, otherwise don't send it out I say).
Thus based on those two facts, the bars get 4 stars, and not 5, for their rating. Then again, shipping was FREE, so what am I complaining about?...lol... you get the picture.
Ok, that's it, hope this helps you. Cheers!Medline makes very solid knurled "grab bars" for the bathtub or shower; and these truly come in handy--even if you're not disabled. The knurled finish simply means that there are small ridges on the actual bar to help you hold onto the bar even when your hands are wet; and it's a big plus to have this bar to hold onto when you're getting in or out of the bathtub or the shower. The rubber pads do indeed come with this bar and so far the screws that came with this product have definitely been rust resistant. Great!
Another reviewer writes that they were annoyed by the way these bars are packed for shipping. Unfortunately, however, it's really the best way to send these through the mail. The sturdy and thick packaging prevents damage to the bars while post office employees throw your package all over the place. Moreover, the extra packaging prevents again damage to the bars as the box containing them gets bumped around on a postal tractor trailer truck or in the crate bin of an airplane.
On the plus side again, these bars hold my weight which, although it's more than I'd like it to be, is thankfully less than 250 pounds so I feel quite safe using them for support in the tub. It's good to be able to take a shower in the bathtub and hold onto this bar while I turn around in the shower so that I don't slip and fall. I suppose if you use these bars in the bathtub strictly for helping you to take a bath safely then you may want to attach the bar a bit lower so that you can reach it. If you have a rather small shower stall is very the bar could limit your space; but you'd really have to have a small shower stall since these safety bars don't stick out much more than 3 inches.
I honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say about these safety bars. My handyman was able to do the installation very quickly and that's another plus. I highly recommend these grab bars for the bath or shower by Medline. We had several Medline knurled chrome grab bars installed in our shower for safety since I am a polio survivor who needs to be careful about falls. Our handyman had an easy time installing them (both vertically and horizontally on all sides of the shower) and they've been a great boon. The knurling makes them safe to grip even when your hands are soapy and they anchored very securely to the wall behind the shower tiles with the included screws after holes were drilled into the tiles. As far as it goes, the grab bar is a good product. It's solid and appears well made -but the design is very deficient. Most homes built in certainly the last fifty years have 16" on-center studs -it's a building code requirement. So, a grab bar that will work in a normal home -even if it's called a 32" grab bar -needs to be somewhat like the dimensional lumber we now have: it's called a 2X4 but it's really a 1.75X3.5 piece of wood. Similarly, the 32" grab bar needs to be shorter than a full 32 inches in order that the outside (centered) screw holes actually grab some of the stud wood that they are supposed to be anchored to. I have seen some outrageously expensive designs which have variable screw holes (some as many as nine) so you can position your anchoring screws into the stud and not outside it. But that's an expensive and unnecessary luxury. It would be just as easy to make the 32" grab bar a 31" bar and move the upper and lower screw holes about 1/2" from their existing locations and you would have an exceptional product that would anchor into 16" on-center studs.I have lately got to the age where I am a bit unsteady and need safety bars in my bathroom. After breaking my foot slipping while getting out of the tub, and having to wear a cast for a month, it was time so I finally bought this product, the 32" bar in white, and also two smaller bars, two of the 12" bars. Easy to install with my cordless screwdriver. Plenty of screws come with the product and also gaskets to keep water from getting under the edge of the bar. The bars look great (white, in my green and white bathroom) and I feel more secure holding onto my bars which are mounted so securely that I can put my full weight onto them. My conclusion is that these safety bars are a wise investment and they look fine as well. Recommended for all. Get them before you fall and break something like I did. I'm lucky only breaking my foot.

of its kind I've ever found, and I was delighted to find it available online (price has sure gone up, though!).
It is ideal for disinfecting wounds of all kinds, and I personally love the smell of it...sort of like fresh cut

Sadly, I placed an order for it a couple of months ago, was assured it had made it to my local postoffice,
and no one could tell me anything else about it! It's now August 21 and I have not received the Apinol, nor
the refund I requested a couple of weeks ago. I don't blame the seller for its disappearance, but surely
do wish they would issue my refund.

i have a horse with fly bite dermatitis. he gets a light spray of this and his skin lesions heal. The antiseptic also acts as a fly repellent. I had an unexplained rash on my wrist and nothing would help it heal. I use the apinol and it started to heal within 24 hours.3M STERI-STRIP Skin Closure - 1/2 x 4 - Envelope
Anyway, these steri-strips were BEYOND FANTASTIC for covering the wound/scar as it was healing; I kept it covered at all times because of hygienic reasons since the cut was so close to my mouth, and at night as well because it itched and the steri-strip protected it from me unconsciously scratching it.
I love these so much.
Then a coworker was getting moles removed, so I gave her the extra package of these I had bought, and she loved them too. If the wound is still open or sore, these will stick a bit, so just use a little neosporin so it won't stick. Otherwise though, these STAY PUT, which is really helpful.
Oh, in my experience, be sure to change these every day. They'll feel like they could stick forever, and once the wound had healed into a scar, I was tempted to leave these for longer than a day, and they'll easily last for that, but when left on longer than about a day, the adhesive gets kind of gummy sticky, which isn't pleasant.
Overall, I love these...but I'm thrilled I don't have to wear them anymore! My forehead had sutures in it caused by an accident. When I saw my orthopedic doctor about injuries (elsewhere on my body), he recommended I use scar gel and these bandages. They are less sticky than normal bandages, but stick just as well. They are also a lot skinnier. They are sort of pricey, but worth it if you want to minimize scars.
