The Sharps Container by North American Rescue is an excellent method to prevent accidental needle sticks by containing the needle in a secure container. It has a locking tab that securely closes which keeps the needle/syringe contained. If you don't have much exposure to needles this is a perfect size container. If you run into needles often you will need a larger container. This size is good for public facilities that may encounter a random diabetic needle or needle from a random drug user. If you have to touch the needle use gloves to prevent possible contamination of a Bloodborne pathogen such as hepatitis or HIV/AID. Although I'm a big fan of FAB products, this one fell far short of the other five I've tried. This product does not emulsify, thus leaving little bits of the coagulated cream all over your face: real nice look, FAB!!! I've tried breaking it down by rubbing my hands together to heat it up and with no positive result. I have a couple of broken teeth and am waiting for a dental appointment. I have tried the "custom" mix that they have, but it's just to messy for me, and the euginol is too strong for my gums. I am very happy to have found the Majestic Dentemp on Amazon. The price is so much more reasonable! I try to order more before I run out, because I don't ever want to get it at the drugstore again! (Oh, my appointment isn't until Dec.!)

The item was listed as being part of a 12-pack when I purchased it, but only one 1oz tube comes with it. I'm not terribly knowledgable regarding desired active ingredient strength (active ingredient is silver chloride, although silver nitrate is also listed as an 'inactive ingredient'), but for my application, treating a 2nd degree burn, the 55ppm concentration in this product hasn't proven effective. I'm now trying KimberlyClark Professional "safeskin", with 240ppm of silver chloride (this burns with application, a good sign). I've read quite a bit on the seeming endless healing powers of the new crop of silver based antimicrobial gels. Don't believe everything you read. I didn't notice a bit of difference between this stuff and good 'ol Neosporin that my Dr. always gives me for things like this.
Good kit compared to the usual bandaids and aspirin products. Has almost all the right items. I added a bottle of Betadine , suture kit , more OTC drugs like Tylenol and some Quickclot large bandages. If the bag had more room I'd put water , alcohol ,insect sting kit , snakebite kit and cold/warm packs plus water filter and signalling gear. I did add their trauma kit , dental kit and an extra surgical travellers kit but ran out of room. This is a medium level kit with a splint , matches and other nice extras. If they'd add a few of the items I did , put more of what is included or drop the price I'd be more inclined to buy again. You should lay everything out , inventory it and then add your extras by priority as you run out of room fast. The med evaluation forms could be left out for instance and add a big magnifying glass to see the first aid book plus start fires and..add a reliable flashlight. Ever tried bandaging a cut in the dark ? Don't.

Just got these Prestige pocket clip bandage scissors and the scissors work just fine, the pocket clip is cheesy and I bought it because of the pocket clip. The clip is attached by 2 screws as in the picture; however, it's not made of spring steel as I had hoped but of a softer steel. The clip deformed after a couple of uses and I had to reshape it in order for it to be useful again, small surprise given it set me back 6 bucks.
