Adventure Medical Rescue Signal Mirror
Well i was wrong, its a signal mirror. I guess there isn't much else you can do with it lol. Many of the brand names claim their mirror signals reflect over how ever many miles. I don't know about that, but i did reflect this one across the street into the neighbors house and it was bright in full sun. I do like its small size, which makes it easy to slip into any pocket on even an Altoids tin for a small Survival kit. It has a small hole if you want to attach a lanyard. Its plastic, which may be a downside to some. I heard plastic scratches and the reflective surface will flake off. This has not happened to mine, but it is protected in a soft case and not used often other than practice.
Out of the package i noticed a small issue on mine. The layers were glued together slightly off, the top layer sticks out slightly from the bottom layer of plastic. The mirror works, but makes the reflected light shoot off at a bit of an angle. Annoying, but not worth sending back.
When it comes to a signal mirror, you need one in your kit for the what if, but don't break the bank. If you purchase this brand or another, Choose the size (2x3, 4x6) which fits your kit. Practice. Know how to use it, then put it in a sleeve or case in your bag and hope you never need to pull it out. This is smaller than my other signal mirrors, but I suppose "size isn't everything". It's plastic, so keep it protected from scratching or it will not reflect as well over time.

There really isn't much you can say about signal mirrors. I got these because they are $2 cheaper than a Ultimate Survival Technology mirror. They work.....they reflect. But honestly, you can do the same thing with a CD.Read Best Reviews of Adventure Medical Rescue Signal Mirror Here
Good looking mirror. Reflects nicely and easy to aim with the center hole. The lack of a bag would be a problem except it fit into my ID holder. So now the mirror won't get scratched bouncing around in my survival kit.Want Adventure Medical Rescue Signal Mirror Discount?
This signal mirror is very easy to use. You won't need to have any actual knowledge on how to use signal mirrors. The only con is that it's not actually water resistant, since after my first dive the layer between the mirror and the back started to peel off.

I have three products with me to test:Ergodyne Chill-Its,
Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad
Your Generic Paper Towels (Control)
Examination:
I tested all three with different parts of my neck. Paper Towels are okay, they still feel cool, since water absorbs heat like crazy. This is the control. However, after using Ergodyne and Frogg Toggs, I noticed that they were significantly cooler, since they stayed cool, where as Your Generic Paper Towels will stop being cool after a few minutes.
Anyways, Ergodyne when opened, smelt like gasoline, corn oil, or diesel. Fairly off-putting, I had to use soap and water to clean it. As of right now, (15 minutes later) the Ergodyne is less cool than my Frogg Toggs, suggesting that they evaporate water much quicker than Frogg Toggs.
In any case, when I opened the Frogg Toggs, it smelt as if someone wiped their...A** with it. Quite like if you had the mixture of manure and some sort of sour or expired milk. This was the most off-putting of smells. I still smell it faintly, even though it was washed with soap and water.
And Paper Towels? I don't think I need to evaluate them, since everyone can test with a paper towel.
Findings: All seem to be cool to the touch, but some are a bit cooler than others. Why? I assume that Frogg Toggs absorb and retain the most water, making them the most "cool".
#3: Paper Towels: Paper Towels are cool, but don't match up to the other two.
#2: Ergodyne: Not as effective as Frogg Toggs, but if you're hot you probably won't know/care about the difference.
#1: Frogg Toggs: The most effective, but Ergodyne's is a close second.
In short, this Ergodyne towel is nice and it works, but for ten dollars, I feel that I could just use some regular ol' towel for a much cheaper price. At least they don't smell.
Edit: And you could just buy a towel, because I used a new test, a damp shirt. After getting a splash of juice on it, I applied some water and soap. I then questioned the efficacy between a damp shirt and this towel. I then placed my towel near the stain. There was no real difference in temperature between this towel and this a wet shirt. In order to get this towel cold, I advise placing it in a fridge, or as a chilled/frozen plastic bottle water cover.
Update: If your towel starts to get warm, please grab the towel and spin it around in a circle. That'll make it cool again.

What a life saver. My apartment is on the top floor and is not air conditioned. We've been having humid, 100+ degree weather, and I would not survive without this towel. Yes, it's refreshing if you drape it on your neck or arm, but if you want your body temperature to plummet, here's what you do. Pour some cold water on it (refridgerated water, if you have it). *Barely* wring it out. This towel can be saturated and it still won't drip. Now drape the towel across your lap, or lay it on your chest/stomach. Better yet, lie down on it. You will be cold immediately. In fact, it might even be too cold for you! It works best when it's flat on your skin, which is why it's more effective to lay it on your torso or legs than it is to just drape it over your neck with a shirt on.Now, it's true that this is basically a glorified synthetic chamois, like you'd use to dry your car. It's a tiny bit thicker, but not by much. If you want to spend only $5 instead of $10, go down to your local auto store and see if they have one in the car cleaner section. You'll know it's the right material if it comes rolled up in a tube and packaged in its own plastic wrap. It's called "PVA" material.
In any case, buy this, or something like it. Chill-Its, Frogg Toggs, or a generic PVA chamois, you will find instant relief. I bought mine for $13 in the store, and I have zero regrets. I would recommend this in a heartbeat.I live in terribly hot/humid Florida. Just go outside and your breath is taken away because of the high humidity. So it's easy to understand how going to the gym or just taking a walk will make a person suffer. I've used this cooling towel at the gym and as long as I'm not in the steam room, it remains cool (almost cold to someone working out) and refreshing. I'm anxious to see how well it holds up to consistent use.

Kemp Large Trauma Bag
As always, Amazon is flawless with 2 day "Prime Delivery" and the bag arrived as scheduled. Definitely not a "weekend kit" or ultralight hiking bag but anyone buying this probably has several kits already set up for different occasions. If you're going to the range or will be anywhere where even the slightest possibility that any sort of major trauma will happen, then gather your gear and buy this bag--it will carry more than enough vital equipment for emergency field medicine until a chopper or search and rescue team can be called in. More room than even I needed and everyone makes fun of my "mobile hospital" supplies.
So glad I waited until I found something big enough but not obnoxiously huge, and also incredibly well constructed (so far--we'll see how,it holds up to regular use and abuse). The best part is the customization and modularity so you know exactly where to go for what you need when seconds count.I have a medical condition that requires a lot of supplies to take care of it. This bag is perfect for keeping items organized. A little bigger than I expected, but now I don't have to go through several drawers to get to my supplies and I have room to grow if I need it.

We've used much more expensive c-rings that had great reviews and were not as impressed as we were with this one! WOW! This is small and inexpensive, but it certainly packs some power! It's a regular in our playbook!Pdi Adhesive Tape Remover Pad Packet Size 2x2 1/4" Applicator 1 1/4x2 5/8" - Box of 100
A single Unisolve wipe is significantly larger and much more saturated in removal liquid. So much so that there is liquid inside the packaging that we pour out onto her adhesive tape. It usually only takes me one Unisolve wipe to get a large adhesive area off, maybe two if it's a really tough job. By contrast, the Pdi wipes are very small and very dry. It is routinely taking me 3-4 wipes to get off something as large as a taped-down cgm sensor if you're familiar with T1D devices, and 2-3 to get off a pump site. This is not only annoying, it hurts my daughter more because I can't ever get the tape saturated enough for a really painless removal.
If you have serious adhesive products to remove on a regular basis, Unisolve is a much better choice.

These are the BEST EVER adhesive remover pads!! I have only been able to find these at one pharmacy in my area and they have stopped carrying them since I bought them last. Thankfully I had a couple pads left so I could search amazon.com for them. Thank you Thank you for carrying them!! Works on everything from leftover bandaid/tape goo to labels on plates and books to bumper stickers. I have yet to find anything this does NOT work on! Would recommend them over any other brand. Do not waste your time and money trying anything else first. Start with these. You will not be disappointed.I worked in a Hospital for over 30 years as an x-ray technologist and used these PDI brand tape remover pads to remove tape. I have to say that this is the greatest product I have ever used or found that is this terrific of a product. I endorse them 1000%. I always wondered where I could purchase my own pads for home use, so I did a search on Google and found they were being sold at Amazon.com. I immediately put in my order for them. If you ever use this product, you won't be sorry when it comes to removing tape (even stubborn old tape) completely. I am now retired and didn't have access to any product like this. Thank you for carrying such a great product. It smells aweful but works GREAT! Anybody, needing a product like this, this should be your first choice. Not only is it strong enough to remove tape residue, it has something to lubricate the skin so, your skin doesn't dry out. As a person who has to use medicated patches, for the past 3yrs, I've finally found what I need to avoid scars and red irratated skin.First Aid Beauty FAB Faves to Go Kit
The facewash removes most makeup, but I still have to use a separate remover for my eye makeup.
The toner pads have a odd smell, maybe licorice? but it fades quickly once you apply the moisturizer.
I am a penny pincher so to make the whole kit last longer I just cut the toner pads in half and just use half of one each time. Works just as well!
PSC-Pronation/Spring Control
PSC Fabrifoam is flexible, but firm enough to hold the foot without having to have your ankles taped everyday.
A simple idea that is under patent and because it is under patent, the price of the PSC remains expensive, considering it is a lightweight simply designed product and more than one may be needed. Also, if you don't take gentle care of the PSC, they will not last you very long. Conversely, if you take care of you PSC, it will help you for a realtively long time maybe a year.
I like to keep 2 lefts and 2 rights on hand. Alternating the PSC worn each day extends the life of the product too. Prices at the Fabrifoam website are around $32-$35 for one.
It is NOT just a stretchy brown wrap that you find in the drugstore. There is a heavy duty outer layer that stretches just a bit not a lot.
The wrap has a foamy soft inside to make it comfortable and to stay gently on the foot. However, the foamy part will eventually(soon than I would like) begin to separate from the brown outer layer.
Be careful not to SOAK the wrap when washing. Use on a tiny tiny bit of a very mild detergent, wash quickly, squeeze a bit to get excess water out and lay flat on a towel. NEVER machine wash or machine dry. (The foam is glued to the outer layer and leaving the wrap soaking in water will speed deterioration really quickly.)
In spite of the price, the patented wrap is very useful for me with high arches and beginnings of heel spurs & plantar fasciitis.
It reduces the Force of the heel strike and for me, helps a lot with keeping my back more aligned. (I.E. Walking without turning outward or inward on the foot helps the back stay in alignment too. At least it does for me.
The PSC was recommended to me by a PHYSCIAL THERPIST who showed me exactly how to put on the PSC, but there are instructions ON THE BOX.
There is only one little piece of velcro inside the box and it is easy to lose. However, that tiny piece is often not needed. (go to the fabric store and get a wee bit of THIN velco(only need the non-sticky side.)
In conclusion, the PSC has been very helpful for me, but the PSC requires gentle care and costs a lot. I would recommend them.
I give them 4 stars, instead of 5 because of price and lack of longevity in wear. But, like I said, "if you take gentle care of them they will last longer.I gave it a try but it didn't work for me. It's inexpensive and cheaply made. I wore it for about 10 days and it was destroyed.

I think this product is overpriced but it does really help if having pain from plantar fasciitis. It doesn't seem to last too long either. When in pain, I guess it's worth the price. I have ordered these three times.I found this product to be useless. As soon as I put it on, the edges rolled causing them to be uncomfortable. And they accomplished nothing. The vendor was excellent, so I gave it an extra star.It worked well right away and it was sooo much cheaper than podiatrist's orthotics. It lasted a reasonable amount of time.Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Tough-Strips
The fabric moves and stretches with you. Other bandages do not and pull off.
The adhesive is strong. Albeit, I only use it on adults as it might be too strong for my kids.
The gauze is absorbent and does not stick to the wound.
The fabric breaths. I stay away from the waterproof types under normal circumstances as I want the wound to also get some air.
The bandage stays put. I put it on and never worry about it coming off before it is time to change it.
Foam bandages are a nice second place, especially for kids, but for an adult, there is no better bandage. These are the best band-aids I've used. Being a martial arts instructor for the Marine Corps, I was constantly getting scratches and cuts. I could count on these to do their jobs for such minor abrasions, scrapes, etc... I've tried lots of different band-aids, and these hold up the best and stay put during activity.
Pros:
These are tougher than regular band-aids
The fabric-like material makes so the bandage doesn't get caught on anything and tear loose, like clothing, etc...
The material breathes just enough so the covered area doesn't become completely deprived of oxygen.
Porous composition allows the band-aid to soak up a little bit of blood, if a minor injury is still bleeding slowly, while most band-aids are too plastic.
Cons:
I wish there was a way to make a waterproof band-aid that was also able to absorb minimal bleeding and still maintain its adhesive quality.
Conclusion:
These are the band-aids that I continue to buy on a regular basis. They do the job.

My husband has very thin skin and bleeds easily so I thought this was the perfect band-aid for him. Quite the contrary the first time I used it and took it off of his arm lots of skin came off with it and made a much worse sore than was there originally. This band-aid is much too strong for older people with any type of skin condition. So now I am afraid to use them on anybody. I would avoid buying this product at all costs.Read Best Reviews of Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Tough-Strips Here

Pro: Paper wrapper easy to open, just tear along edge of paper.Stays in place with good coverage over dry site.
Con: Not waterproof, comes off when wet.
I need a dressing for an open blister on my hand. The dressing would have done well over a shin cut but did not perform when exposed to palm dampness/handwashing. I recommend a dressing from 3M or Nexcare for areas exposed to dampness/wetness; 3M/Nexcare does survive handwashing.
6pk - Iodine Tincture - Antiseptic - Tintura
As a microbiologist, I can tell with that the ABSOLUTE BEST antiseptic is plain old TINCTURE OF IODINE!!!! Why is iodine superior to those others? For one, iodine has a broader and wider spectrum of activity against more potential pathogenic bacteria AND FUNGI than do alcohol and peroxide. Overuse of antibiotics can lead to antibiotic resistance on the part of such microbes. Iodine affects most bacteria, fungi, and yeasts, so there is no danger of an "overgrowth" infection from its use or continued use (growth of resistant organisms when susceptible organisms have been killed off, leaving space for the overgrowth or opportunistic invaders). Keep a bottle of iodine in your medicine cabinet, one in your pocket, and one in your car! It's the best all-purpose antiseptic around....and it is inexpensive, too!
