CPR Prompt (1 Pack) BLUE Single Adult/Child Manikin w/10 Lung Bags & Tool - LF06001U

CPR Prompt BLUE Single Adult/Child Manikin w/10 Lung Bags & Tool - LF06001UOur hospital uses the CPR Prompt manikin for its very busy American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers training program. The manikin is quite durable and easy to maintain.

The amount of force needed to activate the chest compression clicker seems to vary a bit from manikin to manikin (despite all being at the same setting). That's only a minor problem, however.

The entire head is hard plastic, which means the nose is not pinchable.

This manikin is fine for mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-mask ventilation (including head tilt-chin lift). However, it's not possible to hold a mask onto the face for bag-valve-mask ventilation. There's just not enough of a mandible to properly apply the E-C clamp technique. This presents a significant problem for a CPR course for healthcare providers.

Bottom line: If your target audience is limited to laypersons then this is a decent choice. If your target audience includes healthcare professionals then you would be advised to look elsewhere.

These race neutral mannequins are much easier to transport and keep clean than the more expensive Laerdahl models typically used by the red cross.

I have used this exact model for many years while working for a company that taught First Aid-CPR-AED . I started my own company and purchased one to use. The nice thing is that AED pads will not damage the manikin. It is light-weight and a good value for the money.
