I'd read online that this was a good clarifying shampoo so I expected it to strip my hair completely and leave it dry and brittle. After washing my hair with this product, the results were quite the opposite. I started combing my hair and the comb just slid right through my hair....super easy detangling and my hair NEVER detangles this easy...and this is with new growth which is very kinky and tough! I was so surprised I actually went back to read the bottle because I didn't realize it detangled. My hair was not left dry or brittle. I was greatly impressed! I didn't know that these products were created for women of color. I don't have a dry scalp or need repair to my hair, so I'm not quite sure how I came to use this one in particular, but, I was amazed to find that after using it for a couple of weeks, my hair feels so much fuller! This shampoo is the ONLY medicated shampoo that I can use and get the results I need and WANT! I have psoriasis of the scalp and it can get extraordinarily out of hand--dry scalp, flakes, itchiness, etc. The Uplifting Shampoo cleans the scalp very well and does NOT irritate it. In extreme cases, my scalp irritation can affect my face. After using the shampoo alone, even my facial skin is no longer inflamed. The splint does a good job of holding the thumb joint, and does not chafe or otherwise cause discomfort. But I am restricted from wearing it on hot days because, unlike the name of the item, it is HOT. Also the wrap-around strap has lost much of its ability to stick to the velcro. These are great out of the box. After sustained use they become unreliable where the wheel just spins and no spark. I have ordered a bunch and seen different results from each so maybe I got a few that were lemons. For me to much of a risk to take. I will stick with the Spark-Lite Fire-starters which I have used with good success or better yet the Ultimate Survival Technologies BlastMatch Fire Starter. The BlastMatch is a bit more expensive but well worth the cost. They seem to hold up better. Thanks.

I've been using Tegaderm covers for over a year now (worn constantly, and changed every 2 days), and figured I could save a few bucks over what I've been buying.These are very similar, but they won't do the job for me they stick just fine, but the material seems a *little* thicker, and it's not quite as flexible, and with a patch cover of this size it feels really awkward.
Didn't peel, and it stayed in place well enough, but it just wasn't comfortable for me. I'll keep 'em around in case I run out as they'll work in a pinch.

I am a 57 year old female with (still) oily skin. This is a blessing in some ways, but can make finding skin care products difficult. I can use items geared toward much younger women (like Sea Breeze, etc.), but they can be drying and sometimes sting. California Baby Calendula Cream
This is great for babies with sensitive skin or suffering from eczema. I think it comes from the sweat during the warmer months. None of the other baby lotions or creams work as well as the Calendula has for us. The itching would make my daughter scream for hours on end. It was really disheartening. No matter what we tried we couldn't get her any relief unless she soaked in a bath, and we could only do that for so long. The calendula helps eliminate itch and inflammation which seems to have worked well. Be aware of the ingredients thoughmarigold being the main ingredient could have adverse effects for children with allergies.My daughter also gets a lot of diaper rash from not only going to the bathroom but the combination of it and sweat. For that, I use a specific natural diaper rash cream by DesitinDesitin Creamy Diaper Rash Ointment + FREE Baby Ganics Thick N' Kleen (Fragrance Free) Baby Wipes. It's an ointment but it's creamy so it absorbs quickly. A dash of the Calendula on top of the diaper rash cream seems to help soothe the pain a little quicker for her.
The Calendula also has a really pleasant smell. It works on the entire body. I just avoid using it on her face in case she were to ingest it. Even though it's natural I feel more comfortable shielding that possibility. Make sure you find the original blend though, I've seen a lot of complaints of a 'new formula' but I've yet to encounter it myself.
I also want to note that it wasn't until my son started reacting to it that I even compared the labels --no notification of reformulation on the new containers at all -completely unethical -so very disappointed.

I have eczema on face / very sensitive skin. Immediately after applying the product my face burns for a good minute and then it stops. The product is intended for dry skin which I have due to my eczema however, after about an hour or so my skin feels dry again so I have to apply more of the product.I read some reviews about how the crème with the new label has a new formula which isn't the same as the old label crème. Both our children have eczema, and have since they hit about the 15 month mark. They have it during the summer months and the winter months. They get it from sweat when they're wearing formaldehyde-drenched Chinese-made clothing and when they're wearing Oeko-Tex certified organic clothing from Peru. They might be allergic to foods (the possible allergen list is a mile long, and it's not like the doctors could possibly test for everything; elimination diets have been futile). They're certainly allergic to that big hickory tree over their play equipment. Cats, dogs, mold, dust, you name it.So, when all else fails, and you can't weed out the source, you want something to make the symptoms go away. In the case of eczema, you can either suppress the immune reaction (topical steroids) or combat the resulting itch and moisturize and heal the inflamed, damaged skin. California Baby Calendula Cream performs the tricky combination of controlling the itch long enough to heal the skin. It works reasonably well the majority of the time.
Calendula (or pot marigold) extract has been proven to have anti-inflammatory properties, among others, in plant pharmacological studies and has been used topically to reduce inflammation and soothe irritated tissue for centuries. Of course if your child is allergic to plants in the marigold family, calendula would (obviously) have the opposite effect.
I wouldn't be surprised if this has chamomile in it as well, though the label doesn't disclose the contents of the 'proprietary oil blend'. It does have a pleasant tea-like smell to it, and chamomile has been noted to have similar soothing effects.
The rest of the ingredients are dedicated to moisturizing the skin. Because of the density of this cream, it stays on the skin, and because the first ingredient is purified water, it is quickly absorbed. It leaves skin feeling incredibly smooth, but not at all greasy.
The big drawback here is that if your child has severe eczema, you might have to apply this 3 or 4 times a day to the most affected areas. Our children do have severe eczema, and this can keep it at bay if I remember to apply it frequently. Of course I don't always remember. Then there's the cost of applying this cream multiple times per day to two children. We go through one jar per week easily.
So, why not use another moisturizer? Well, in our case, almost all moisturizers we've tried (Aveeno, Nature's Gate, Cetaphil, Eucerin, and others I can't recall now) actually irritate the kids' skin even more, whereas this and the Sensitive Skin California Baby lotion do not. Vaseline works as a barrier cream, but it ruins clothing (mine and theirs) and isn't easily absorbed by the skin.
So, we keep trying other things occasionally, and keep coming back to California Baby. While it is not a miracle cream, it is a heck of a lot better than the other stuff that's out there. (It should be at that price.) It works pretty well most times, sometimes clearing their eczema entirely for brief periods. Another reason to like it is that it rates fairly low on hazardous ingredients according to the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Database. All the other mainstream lotions we've tried were considered to be moderately hazardous, and when you read a bit more into this stuff, they just don't seem like good things to be applying to a baby or young child's skin. Most common lotions have ingredients that are actually considered to be irritants, which may explain the children's reaction to other moisturizers.
If your child has eczema, and you're at your wit's end trying to find something, anything that will improve their quality of life, it can't possibly hurt to give this stuff a shot. Pricey as it is, there are so many days I'd give anything just to not have to watch my children irritably tearing at their own skin. This calendula cream has definitely been a source of relief for them and thus, for our whole family.

I gotta say that what worried me the most was the fact that other reflex hammers tend to leave a colored stain on a white coat, but this one doesn't at all, so that's one less thing to worry about. Excelent quality product, and it arrived pretty quickly...
After finishing my neurology rotation and seeing a slew of different hammers, there are a lot of other cheap alternatives. I would recommend the babinski hammer. It works much better and is similarly priced. I never knew how important DTRs were until neuro so make sure you have something that works!

This works and I guess you get what you paid for, but I suggest getting a nice hammer. This one has absolutely no weight on the hammer head, and is very difficult to elicit reflexes from.
