wear it all the time. it does help decrease the pain in my thumb. have arthritic carpo-trapezial joint arthritis at the base of my thumb. I am even able to play golf with it on.

I have severe arthritis in the thumb, nothing has worked its "magic" as this split. Although the pain/discomfort is not totally eased, it CERTAINLY makes it tolerable. I cannot be without this! I need to order a couple more to make sure I have one in various locations of work.

The splint does a good job of holding the thumb joint, and does not chafe or otherwise cause discomfort. But I am restricted from wearing it on hot days because, unlike the name of the item, it is HOT. Also the wrap-around strap has lost much of its ability to stick to the velcro. For the price, it should last longer. (this is the most expensive of this kind of brace)
