Prestige Medical Supplies 'Belt Clip Organizer Kit'

Prestige Medical Supplies 'Belt Clip Organizer Kit'
  • Organizers

This nurses kit is pretty much the average one you can get. The good thing is the clip. The bad thing about it is that its big.

I'm sure it can fit some scrub pockets but if you have smaller pockets, it will not fit.

Overall the material is very durable and the penlight is okay. The scissors are plain metal bandage scissors and they are heavy.

I'm a nursing student and the uniforms they provided for us are terrible when it comes to places to put things. This helps me keep everything together and is within my budget as well, and came with some extra stuff that I have used.

Medique 818M25P 25-Person Metal First Aid Kit

Medique 818M25P 25-Person Metal First Aid KitI don't normally write reviews but since there is no way to contact the seller I feel I must. I ordered two of these and regret it. What you see in the picture is NOT what you get. In the picture you can clearly see Ace Bandage wrap, gauze roll, large tape roll. There is no ace wrap, no gauze roll and the tape that comes with this is laughable. I would estimate the value of the contents to be roughly $2.50. Cheap and a ripoff at best.

Seller, Take a new picture so you aren't tricking people into buying something they don't want.

I bought this first aid kit for my husband to use in the garage. The metal case easily mounted on the wall and holds all of the necessities. The bandages/medical supplies that come with the kit are pretty standard no big surprises there. I mostly bought this kit because it is metal and I figured it would withstand garage use better than a plastic case. I am happy with the product and would recommend it.

My husband has this kit in his truck. Being a truck driver the cab bounces and the plastic kits would just crack. This one doesn't have that issue since it's metal. Since it's a 25 person kit he has all the first aid stuff he needs. These are great for your house or car. It's better to have extra stuff than not enough.

Hypafix Dressing Retention Tape 2" x 10 yd Roll QTY: 1

Hypafix Dressing Retention Tape 2' x 10 yd Roll QTY: 1I've used this product many times and can tell you it's THE best product. You will love it and it's worth every cent. You can customize the size you need of the tape and it doesn't stick to skin but adheres gently as needed. It's flexible and it's the only stuff that works extremely well for any finger cuts especially on the end of the finger or around the nail. This stuff works like a charm and it's the best stuff ever for everything.

I take coumidin and also have VERY thin skin so I am constantly bleeding from bruises. this tape is wonderful. can be cut to size easy to apply and so easy to remove without tearing my skin. I highly recommend this tape. I keep section of tapes everywhere, car, purse, bathrooms. etc Janet in Az

This is the best dressing tape on the market. It holds in place, able to move what ever joint that needs to be taped, the tape doesn't pull off,ie if on the neck area, able to move neck around with no pulling of the skin. When ready to remove the tape put some water on it,it will remove from the skin very easy. Unlike other tape that holds the area to tight,or pulls off to easy, this is the best on the market in my opinion. Very, very comfortable to wear. You wouldn't even know you had it on.

I-Cool Kosher i-cool + D for Menopause + Bone Building 45 Tablets

I-Cool Kosher i-cool + D for Menopause + Bone Building 45 TabletsI first purchased this product at my local grocery store after stumbling upon it while looking for vitamins. Although it was priced much higher than it is here at Amazon, I was desperate to get some relief from the hot flashes and night-sweats I was constantly experiencing. They had gotten so bad and frequent that I was physically exhausted and barely able to function. It was not until the third week of taking these tablets daily that my symptoms began to abate. That is when I came to Amazon and ordered another 45 day supply (at a much more reasonable cost) so I would not run out. By the beginning of the 5th week, I was no longer experiencing hot flashes during the day, although I was still having very mild night-sweats. I began to take the pill at night before going to bed, rather than in the morning with my other vitamins and supplements, and although, I had trouble sleeping the first few nights, my night sweats went completely away. I've been taking I-Cool for about two months now and have not had a night-sweat or hot flash (except for a mild one on the one day after I missed taking the tablet). As the various reviews here reflect, this product doesn't work for everyone, but it has been a godsend for me and I would recommend that anyone experiencing night-sweats and hot flashes at least give it a try. The key is to be patient and not miss a day taking the tablet.

This and two black cohosh extract every morning CURED my hot flashes and waking up at night and throwing all my covers off. I am back to sleeping at least eight full hours through the night. Thank you iCool!!!

Miracell ProEar-for Itchy, Irritated Ears .5 OZ

Miracell ProEar-for Itchy, Irritated Ears .5 OZThis product really works well on my skin irritations and in my ears to prevent ear wax build up and itching due to hearing aids. I do recommend it.

I have been wearing earplugs for years to sleep, and recently my ears began to itch and hurt when they were in my ears. I thought it was the earplugs, so I replaced them with several other kinds, and that did not help. Found this item while searching on the net, and ordered it from Amazon. It took about 2 weeks, using it day and night, and I am back to comfort in wearing my earplugs. Thanks for the great product!!!

WoundSeal Powder for Nosebleeds, 4 ea

WoundSeal Powder for Nosebleeds, 4 eaOn the Tuesday before last, I suddenly developed a nosebleed. And while in my youth I had many nosebleeds and knew how to handle them this one was different because I am now taking xarelto, an anti-coagulant which performs the same function as warfarin. So whereas using the usual pressure tricks of squeezing the nostrils or of pushing a folded-up paper towel pressed up between my upper lip and gum would quickly stop earlier nosebleeds, they did nothing with the xarelto in my system. And after holding off from dialing 911 for 30 minutes I finally gave in when the blood was overfowing into my throat to the point where I began to choke.

The paramedics arrived with a plastic clamp which was like a super clothes-pin. It stopped the flow and I decided to waive them off from taking me to the ER as they said it would stop the flow if I left it in place for 15 minutes. But when I removed it at 20 minutes, it began to flow again. Leaving it on for an hour left my blood STILL ready to flow. Finally, after leaving it on for 2 increasingly painful hours i was able at 3AM to remove the clamp and gingerly slide into bed.

But I had used my waiting time to look for a better remedy in the event of a reoccurrence, and I settled upon Woundseal Powder for Nosebeleeds. I had the stuff shipped via 2-Day shipping using my Prime membership, and it arrived Friday morning. Friday night at about 9:00pm I had a second gushing nosebleed. Within 15 minutes, most involving fumbling about and reading directions, use of this nosebleed kit had my nosebleed stopped WITHOUT needing even to use the clamp the paramedics had given me.

That should be enough to convince anyone that this is a highly cost-effective tool. For those of you taking anticoagulants, it could be lifesaving because unlike some of the other bleeding 'cures' offered by other products, Woundseal does not rely upon amping up YOUR own anti-coagulation system to work. Rather, it is an artificial, exterior anticoagulant which operates independently of your system. So it was almost magical to find when I had dabbed some of this stuff deeply into my nostril, held it there a few moments and could feel the flow of blood diminish and then stop. It did leave that nostriul somewhat clogged for about 36 hours. Perhaps I could have blown my nose and cleared it but i wasn't anxious to find out if it would work. And by mid-day Sunday of this past week (2 days) the stuff just sort of fell out of my nose and my nostril felt very clear.

Two days after that, I saw my primary care doctor. He looked into my nostril with a scope after I told him my story and he was surprised to see no sign of recent scarring or whatever it is that they spot in there!

Woundseal (aka Nosebleeds QR)is a terrific products. I suffer from nosebleeds in the winter and since I'm on blood thinners they are hard to stop. Woundseal does it in 30 seconds everytime. This is my go to product when the nosebleeds start.

While on vacation in the mountains, my husband suffered a nosebleed that he couldn't stop. Another man staying at our bed and breakfast offered him an envelope of Wound Seal. Wow! It stopped the nosebleed right away and allowed us to continue on. So glad we were able to find it online at Amazon! He's already had another occasion when he needed it--again in mountains. He's putting it in his overnight case for emergencies like this. Nosebleeds are rare, but when they happen, they can be stopped easily with WoundSeal.

I bought this for my elderly mother who has frequent nosebleeds because of long term Coumadin (blood thinner) use. One time in the emergency room they used a similar product and it worked well so they suggested that I buy this because it is available over the counter without a prescription and it is safe for the elderly and for people on Coumadin. I also checked with her doctor before purchasing.

My mother has used it twice at home and it works well. It does burn when you first apply the powder to your nose but she has had good results both times and she says the burning sensation does not last long and the result is worth the temporary burning. Very easy to use and it comes in individual packets so you can have one with you at all times.

I give it 4 stars because it should always be bought with caution, knowing the individual's own health history but for temporary and fast relief it seems to work well.

J&J Red Cross Ultraheal Multi-Day Pads, 4-Count Boxes

J&J Red Cross Ultraheal Multi-Day Pads, 4-Count BoxesMy husband recently hurt his finger by peeling all the skin off it (almost down to the bone). It basically acted like a third-degree burn, since the wound had to heal from the bottom up to the skin. The J&J pads (though a bit pricey), along with a gentle wound wash, pain relief/antibiotic creme, and some tube gauze made a big difference in the healing process. The pads come in a variety of sizes (though I did have to cut ours down a bit, to fit around his finger correctly), and are easy to apply. The hydrogel padding that goes over the wound works well, wicking away the weeping moisture at the beginning of the wound recovery. The adhesive works well too, keeping the bandage on the finger, but making it easy to remove as well. No messy adhesive residue to remove! In my husband's case, we made sure the finger stayed rigid during the healing process, by adding a few layers of tube gauze over the bandaged finger, then using a J&J waterproof tape to hold everything in place. The wound took about a bit over a month and a half to heal, but I think that's quite a bit faster than it would have been using other methods.

Johnson & Johnson has a great product in these pads, even if you have to pay a bit more. It's cheaper than going back to the doctor's office to have they re-apply a dressing!

If you want a burn to recover quickly and leave minimal scarring you use 2nd Skin. If you want a scrape to recover quickly you use these pads. Keeping a wound moist after cleaning it until healed is the fastest way to a full recovery (do the research if you hav doubts) and this pad allows exactly that to be accomplished while protecting yur hand from outside contaminents. It is not a miracle, but rather a good design that "tricks" your body into thinking it has a scab so it can heal faster with less scarring. This should be the go to product if you scrape your hand. It works well on deep scraps too, as that is my most recent use for them. I wrecked my dirt bike and the ground tore through my glove taking a lot of skin with it on my hand. These pads have increased the rate of healing greatly and allowed the wound to stay mosit, preventing the limitation and worry tha comes with a dry scab that can crack. Honestly, if you want the heal in the best manner possible, these are what you should be using.

4 days ago I took a tumble on my motorcycle and came away with a sore knee with road-rash. My leg and knee hurt like you won't believe and for 3 days I did the regular Neosporin and non-stick gauze (yea right for non-stick) and Vicodin for the pain.

Last night I remembered that a while ago I had a palm-sized burn wound, and my friend put one of these Advanced Healing pads on it, and told me to leave it on until it came off by itself, at which time, I applied one more and by that time the second one came off, the wound was healed.

So I went to buy this again in the largest size, placed it over my knee and presto. Pain be gone. It created a nice visible blob in the middle where it attached itself to my wound juices, and I have the use of my leg back. Today I am up and about, no more flat on the bed filling my body with Vicodin! Sure it still pains a little, as healing wounds of this nature should, but definitely not the same as yesterday.

Thank you Johnson & Johnson for coming up with these healing pads

I shredded my 64 yr. old shin falling across a tree stump. These are ridiculously expensive and I used more than I needed (wanted to clean seepage unnecessary and didn't want the healing pad to stick to the wound it won't). Make sure the adhesive seal is not on minor abrasions near to the wound. And after it's healed get another expensive product -a scar gel that's all silicone in the ingredients amazing works with twice daily application even on old scars. Both products are technological advances in home health care/first aid. Worthy of purchase.

Band-Aid Band-Aid Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages All One Size

Band-Aid Johnson & Johnson Band-Aid, Flexible Fabric, 100-Count BoxesThis review is not about the Flexible Fabric Band-Aid. I have been using the 1x3 inch Fabric Band-Aids for years, and order them by the 100-count box. It's a good product.

The product offered here by Pharmapacks and others Band-Aid Johnson & Johnson Band-Aid, Flexible Fabric, 100-Count Boxes is the 3/4 x 3 inch version. The images are poor, and the product description is as follows: "Product Dimensions: 6 x 5 x 4 inches ; 2.4 ounces". Clearly that is not the case. I ordered 3 boxes based on the reviews that mention a 1x3 Band-Aid. Pharmapacks stoutly defends sending the smaller product, so I'm stuck.

The moral of the story is: If the seller can't provide a clear image and description of the product, don't buy it. Getting the wrong product is your fault (and expense), not theirs.

It is just about impossible to find these kind of bandages around where I live, all you can find are boxes of plastic or mixed sizes. And in the mixed sizes, the 1" x 3" amount to a whole 5 bandages. To me the smaller ones are useless, so I would be paying for bandages I would never use.

Buy Band-Aid Band-Aid Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages All One Size Now

Sometimes it's really worth going with a generic brand, and sometimes it's not...the latter is true here. Band-Aid's the real thing, and I am glad I found this product at this price at this size. I mean "size" in two ways: the 3" bandage with no little ones that no one uses...the tiny strip that you couldn't fit on anything but a goldfish, and the little dot--PARTICULARLY the little dot. Who the hell uses those?

Well, at least I don't.

I own a farm, with horses, chickens, dogs, cats, guinea fowl and probably something else I can't remember (oh--finches...but I don't really think they count as "farm" animals), and working with manure, fencing (electric and board fencing), all sorts of tools, wheelbarrows, a tractor, etc, etc.,...well, all these things add up to lots of little and not-so-little cuts. I'm always looking for a bandage that will A) cover the wound, and B) stay on, and C) have a little "backbone" to it.

These fabric bandages do the job. I'm extremely pleased with them, and I will probably put these on subscription...

Anyway, I'm very happy with this product.

These are great to have on hand. They are a full one inch wide, and stay put! Yet, they come off easily. I have given so many small bandages away; they are useless. I want the gauze full bandage, and this is it! The box of 100 means we won't run out. The price was very good, and the product is exactly what we were looking for.

Want Band-Aid Band-Aid Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages All One Size Discount?

I seem to nick myself, doing one thing or another, every so often. When I get that small cut, Band-Aid does the job. This particular product, Flexible Fabric, is handy dandy. It goes on pretty easily and the adhesive normally holds, giving one's wounds a chance to heal.

I try to keep a couple of the small boxes of these in each bathroom, so that there is always a Band-Aid nearby.

So, count me a pretty satisfied customer.

Badger Anti-Bug Balm

Badger Anti-Bug Balm 2oz balmI bought this to send to relatives in sticky and mosquito mecca Houston, Texas. I had heard great things about itthat travelers and explorers alike swore by its ability to fend off all those flying pesky bugs. I thought it might help to ward off the West Nile mosquitoes that are prevalent in the area but I had no idea how great it would actually work. My whole family down South now swears by it. No harsh chemicals and it does not stain your clothes like some chemical based repellents do and best of all (did I mention?) the stuff really works! No mosquito bites even in heavily infested areas. Enjoy the outdoors again and if you work outdoors this is a must.

I love to go to warm places with lots of bitting bugs, plus I kayak like crazy during the summer months here in NJ. I can say without a doubt that it really does work. I have a friend who gets bit when there are not bugs it seems and it has worked on her. I keep a small tin with me when I travel or when I kayak. I just purchased the stick will see how that works out. All I can say is that it is easy to carry, easy to use and does work for me!

Tender Ben's 30% Deet 12-count Travel Wipes

Tender Ben's 30% Deet 12-count Travel WipesBackground: I got devoured by mosquitoes on a trip to Mexico in 2009, and the assault on my system was enough to land me in hospital 3 times in a single week. (During the first two visits to different hospitals, my condition was misdiagnosed and I was given the wrong treatments; the third hospital figured out that I had developed an allergy to the mosquitoes). It seems that because I was bitten so many times (over 50 bites), my body went into some sort of shock and ultra-defence mode. As a result, I now have a very heightened sensitivity to all bug bites.

With this in mind, I intended to use as many precautions as possible for my recent trip to Hawaii. Here's how I protected myself (I'll discuss Ben's wipes in a moment):

STEP 1:

Started taking Vitamin B Complex two weeks before departure. I chose one that had huge %RDA of each type of Vitamin B (I think B12 is the most vital), and always took it in the morning because it can cause really awful nightmares if you take it close to bedtime.

STEP 2:

I sprayed all my holiday clothes with Sawyer's Permethrin Clothing Spray, which I will review separately. (Short answer: it seems to have worked very well.) http://www.amazon.com/Sawyer-SP657-Permethrin-Clothing-Repellent/dp/B001ANQVYU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303674748&sr=8-1

STEP 3:

Covered all exposed areas with Ben's deet wipes every day. More specifics on this in a moment.

STEP 4:

Always had my "Zap It!" clicker tied to my handbag. I can't find these listed on Amazon, but I bought a pack of 4 online for about $30, and they each have about 10,000 clicks. This was one of my great investments! I definitely recommend it. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zap-It-Mosquito-Bite-Relief/dp/B0012GMT0A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1303674948&sr=8-2

STEP 5:

Kept some antihistamine tablets handy just in case I felt overwhelmed by itching, but luckily I didn't have to take any.

STEP 6:

I also kept some anti-itch creams at the ready, but the "Zap it!" made them largely unnecessary. (Combined with the fact that the other steps had minimised my bites in the first place)

....So, now that you know my 6-phase plan of assault, back to Ben's 30% Deet Wipes.

As bug repellent goes, these are very good. My travel companion got eaten alive, because he wasn't really protecting himself (and hadn't taken part in my patented Six Steps to Mozzie Freedom!). After one particularly bug-infested hike, I had 6 bites and he had about 25. So in terms of a side-by-side experiment, the wipes in conjunction with my other steps performed very well.

PROS:

I am asthmatic and these didn't aggravate my lungs at all. The odour is pretty low compared to "Off" spray or any others I've tried.

Being wipes, they're super easy to apply.

Having individual packs is SO convenient for hiking.

I think 30% Deet was just right for most of our hikes, but we were beseiged in some rainforesty areas, so I got a handful of bites.

Pretty fair price for a pack with three boxes in it. I have a few left over, even though we were in Hawaii for 2.5 weeks.

CONS:

No major cons, but I was always careful to wash my hands after applying because I had read that Deet tends to melt plastic. It did remove my toenail polish whenever I made accidental contact with it.

It's a little greasy, but that didn't bother me.

The main thing that annoyed me was that once in a while, I'd open a sachet and the wipe would be BONE DRY inside. There wasn't even the slightest residue; it was like it had never been treated with Deet. This was a bummer because I was worried about running out of wipes (I ended up over-rationing them, which resulted in a few bites).

The occasional "blank" wipe is why I'm knocking off a star. Otherwise these are a very decent product and I'd recommend them for any mosquito situation, including for those of us with allergies.

Happy Travels!

I bought this three-pack for our safari in Kenya because of the high (30%) DEET content. The wipes were easy to open and apply, and it was great to be able to just throw a few packets into my pocket before heading out on a dusk game drive. In 14 days, I did not get a SINGLE mosquito bite (to be fair, I did not see many mosquitos at all throughout the trip, and we did stay in nice lodges with mosquito netting around the beds). I am a mosquito magnet and allergic to boot (when something bites me, the bite swells up hugely and itches like crazy), so the fact that I did not get bitten does say quite a bit about these wipes. Nobody wants to rub DEET on their skin, of course, but if I have to again, I will go with these.

My husband purchased these last year and we used them all summer. I have a hard time going outside after 5pm because I get bitten so badly...the bugs seem to be drawn to me more than my husband! So I tried these wipes and went for a walk after 5pm...I saw bugs and gnats everywhere but they did not bother me! I didn't get one bite that evening. I've been using it ever since. Just put some on my daughter for a field trip where she had to go hiking and they warned of ticks. She came home without a single bite or tick. And the bugs really like her too. Thanks for a great product!

These wipes are the best thing I have found for applying repellent to my toddler. They are exactly 30% DEET (the max recommended by the AAP for kids), and there's no accidentally missing spots with the spray, or worse, accidentally spraying him in the face as he squirms to get away. Best of all, my child is normally a mosquito magnet, and he was able to go outside at dusk for an hour without a single bite. A first!

Brown Recluse First Aid Kit

Brown Recluse First Aid KitI live in an area where brown recluse spiders live and I'm constantly on my guard for them. But this kit not only works on recluse bites it works on any poisonous spider bite. I had a poisonous Australian spider crawl into my shirt on an airplane and bite me six times. The venom was beginning to cause tissue damage but this kit reversed the damage and my skin healed completely. The proof is on my skin. This stuff works!

I ordered this product about 7 years ago and stashed it away. This morning I woke up to a nasty spider bite on my leg, it was large, spreading and starting to hurt.. I followed the directions wondering if it was still good after all this time... three poultice changes later and it is pulling out all the venom, it's incredible watching this nasty bite wound go in reverse b/c of this kit.. anyone living in a spidery area should keep this on hand.
