Our son has amblyopia and must be patched 4 hours per day. The first patch we used was from a set of free samples that the doctor gave us. They had a beige colored cloth backing and the adhesive irritated his skin terribly. They were very difficult to remove as well. The next type we tried were NexCare. They had a paper backing, were much easier to remove, and did not irritate his skin. When I went to the store to get a new box, they only had the Curad brand. These are even better than the NexCare. They are so much easier to remove that my son asks for them specifically by brand name. The NexCare adhere a little bit better, but since he doesn't pick at the edges, it's not a problem. Anyone who has trouble with irritating adhesive can try a light layer of Pepto Bismol or Calamine (NOT Caladryl) lotion. ---An additional note: we had to start patching our daughter as well. Because she sweats more than her brother, the Curad patches were falling off. We found that the Nexcare stay in place for her, so we have his and her brands for patches now.

This is a very good product. I was very pleased with the quality and the fast shipping. I use a lot of tape in putting on bandages so this is perfect for what I use it for. It was $1 cheaper per roll than I can buy locally so that was even better. Would highly recommend this for anyone who needs good adhesive.

Ointment appears to work as it should (I don't have a professional microscope to check it out!), but I found the exact same product at a dollar store, so I've been ripped off a bit . Either way, I recommend buying these smaller tubes. I used to buy 1 oz. tubes but they often expire before you use them up, so these smaller ones are the way to go. One last thing---I've seen people apply ointment right on the wound---yuck! Always apply to a sterile bandage pad to keep the tube from getting contaminated.

This is my first traditional style vibrator; I have only used a small cheap nubby clitoral vibrator in the past (one of those you put on your finger.) That vibrator wasn't that strong, nor was it multispeed. I bought this "Emergency" vibrator mainly for the multispeed at a low price, just to try it out. I have to admit, I have hardly used it due to the noise level. The highest setting is about as loud as my electric razor (a Clio, I have reviewed that also), or an electric toothbrush to use another example. I have not used it on the highest setting because of this, as I do not live alone and am worried about it being heard through my bedroom door. Also, a loud motor kind of puts you out of the mood. :( I suppose this should be expected since it takes one double A battery, but as I said this was my first one. I would think perhaps more expensive ones are quieter?I have however used it a few times on the lowest setting, which is sort of as powerful as my clit vibe (which I have reviewed as well), though it does NOTHING for me. It's nice...but my hand does more. I ended up just turning it off and using it manually. That worked better..(the tip is nice) but still not as well (or quick) as without anything.
I have not yet tried it internally, so the reviewer below me can rate that better. :) I am somewhat hesitant to try this type of vibrator again, but perhaps I will in the future. I will splurge and try a more expensive one, and look for good noise level reviews.
As a beginner with vibrators though, it was a good learning experience. If you don't mind noise, for the price you may want to give it a shot. I plan on experimenting with it more since I have it. Maybe I'll get to use the high settings one day. ;)

I ordered this product almost a year ago just because it came in a cute little case and turns out it has been a lot of fun to have. the only issue i have with this little gut is that the speed adjuster moves very easily and the batteries dont last very long, and it is kind of noisey . Medifirst Pain Relief Tablets 250x2
My husband is a National Park employee who discovered little packets of this pain reliever in his first aid and medical supply kit. He found them to be very effective and fast-acting for his occasional sinus headache or back pain. I searched for a source on line and found them on Amazon! The cost is very reasonable and the little packets make them very conveninet to carry a couple wherever you go. Best of all, they really do work! I am of the one-headache-pill is-as-good-as-another opinion, but I now find I prefer these!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These blister bandage are a life-saver! I am prone to blisters on the back of my heel, especially in the heat. When I wore a pair of fairly new espadrilles all day at WDW, I developed painful blisters on both heels. Thankfully, I had these bandages because wow did they make a difference. Easy to apply, they covered and cradled my sore heels, protecting the blister from further rubbing. I was surprised how well they stayed on despite the sweat and water from rides like Splash Mountain. I replaced a couple of times, but given that I spend all day every day walking under tough conditions, I was more than pleased with the durability of these bandages. I will now always have these in the medicine cabinetif they can save my feet (and therefore my sanity) during a theme-park vacation, they can certainly help me cope with the odd blister in my ordinary life!
1. They are good to protect blisters on the back of the heel but be wary of how you place the bandage.
On my right foot, I placed the bandage exactly in the center of my blister. On my left foot, I placed the bandage off center so that the edge of the bandage met exactly where my shoe rubbed off my feet.
Results? The right foot bandage stayed in place protecting my blister. The shoe on my left foot began to rub with the edge of the blister bandage, completely peeling it off in less than 30 minutes on the street. A 2nd bandage properly placed cured my problem but I wasted 1 bandage and there are only 6.
2. They last about two showers.
I take long hot showers of about 30 minutes or more. These bandages last about 2 showers before they need to be replaced. They will last longer for you if you take shorter showers (or more room temperature water).
3. they are easy to remove.
A hate bandages because they pull on my skin and are painful especially if they grab on to fine hair present on arms and legs. You don't want any skin pulling on a blister, either. These were surprisingly easy to move, and for the stubborn one, a little rubbing alcohol does the trick (only on closed blisters, it will sting on a opened one!)

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I don't often get blisters, but when I do I like to have blister bandages on hand. I have Dr. Scholl's Blister treatment on hand for those not-so-nice occasions and I do believe I like the 3M Nexcare better. For one thing, the shape is much better for using on the back of the heel. The Nexcare are slimmer and more contoured for that purpose. If you are going to be walking or running, these are perfect to use as a preventative measure.If you have a blister that has already opened, application of the Nexcare is actually more apt to be more sterile than the Dr. Scholl's. I had to bend the Dr. Scholl's in the middle to open and never fail I swipe the pad with my hand. The Nexcare, although tricky, make it less likely to touch the face of the pad. Of course washing my hands before application is a must. The Nexcare are better for those odd spots like between the toes because they are slimmer.
When I tried both, the Nexcare and the Dr. Scholl's stayed on about the same length of time. If you have to remove the bandage before it falls off, simply soak your foot in warm water for a while to loosen it and pull/stretch on one side to remove it. If you have a large blister I'd opt for the Dr. Scholl's as they are larger, but all in all, I prefer the Nexcare. They are easier to apply, are slimmer, and more tapered for use on the back of the heel.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I tried the Nexcare Blister Waterproof bandages thinking that they would be as good as their other Nexcare waterproof bandages, but was rather disappointed. I went on a recent trip to the St. Louis zoo and had a couple of these on hand in my bag. When trying to pull the paper off from around the bandages, it is so cumbersome and so thin you have to be extra careful so that it does not stick to yourself and you end up ruining the bandage in the attempt. When I finally did get one to hold and not turn on itself, it was indeed waterproof and it did stand up to a bit of wear, However, with all of the walking that I did that day, it did finally shrivel up and I had to start over. All in all, they did not end up lasting the whole day for me and ended up going to a convenience store in the area and using a regular bandaid. First, they really are great at keeping water out of the affected area, and they in fact last quite a while! I put one on my wrist to see how it would hold up on an area that gets went pretty often (dishes, hand washing, etc.) and I am pretty impressed with how long it lasted. Other bandages would have fallen off the minute they saw water, but this one held on for days! So the waterproof feature is beautiful.The second part, the blister protection, is something I am struggling to "rate". A blister forms where something is rubbing and abrading the skin to cause an open wound. The problem with blisters is you can put a bandage on them, but without removing the thing that caused it, you get a bandage that quickly bunches and rubs right off the wound (sometimes taking skin with it). It would be best to remove the offending shoe or other cause of the blister, but sometimes you can't (vacation, traveling, long walk, etc.). SO, I have never found a bandage that would stay on my heel if I had a blister unless I now wore open backed shoes. I actually had a semi-healed blister on my heel from new sneakers, and sadly this bandage did just what I expected it to doit bunched and eventually just fell off from the friction with the shoe. So sadly, I don't think this is THE bandage for blisters, but I also totally admit there might not be anything in existence to solve that problem (gorilla tape maybe?). Therefore, I feel torn about holding that against this bandage. But in the end, it is specifically marketed for blisters (while there are simply waterproof bandages otherwise), so I have to review it based on that market. And in that respect, the bandage didn't cut it.

Right off the bat, this kit came in a plastic wrapper that already had a tear in it when I went to open it. The outside of the kit as roughed up and scratched looking, and though the picture would imply a sturdy metal case, it is in fact plastic. And one of of the two tabs to hold the box closed was already broken.The "EFA First Aid Instructions" amount to a single-page pamphlet, the scissors included are puny compared to what it shown, and if there was an organizing principal to how the box was packed, it eludes me.
I suppose for the price what you're getting here is decent enough, but if you were hoping for a tight, compact, metal kit you could supplement, forget about it. My first thought on opening this was that I'd need to replace the case with something more sturdy. Can't really recommend this wholeheartedly, but it's a good cheap kit you could toss out as a small gift item, or put in a seldom-used vehicle.

My husband recently hurt his finger by peeling all the skin off it (almost down to the bone). It basically acted like a third-degree burn, since the wound had to heal from the bottom up to the skin. The J&J pads (though a bit pricey), along with a gentle wound wash, pain relief/antibiotic creme, and some tube gauze made a big difference in the healing process. The pads come in a variety of sizes (though I did have to cut ours down a bit, to fit around his finger correctly), and are easy to apply. The hydrogel padding that goes over the wound works well, wicking away the weeping moisture at the beginning of the wound recovery. The adhesive works well too, keeping the bandage on the finger, but making it easy to remove as well. No messy adhesive residue to remove! In my husband's case, we made sure the finger stayed rigid during the healing process, by adding a few layers of tube gauze over the bandaged finger, then using a J&J waterproof tape to hold everything in place. The wound took about a bit over a month and a half to heal, but I think that's quite a bit faster than it would have been using other methods.Johnson & Johnson has a great product in these pads, even if you have to pay a bit more. It's cheaper than going back to the doctor's office to have they re-apply a dressing!

These are great for seeping surgery sites that you can not change as often due to being at work/or don't want to soil your clothes with seepage. 4 days ago I took a tumble on my motorcycle and came away with a sore knee with road-rash. My leg and knee hurt like you won't believe and for 3 days I did the regular Neosporin and non-stick gauze (yea right for non-stick) and Vicodin for the pain.Last night I remembered that a while ago I had a palm-sized burn wound, and my friend put one of these Advanced Healing pads on it, and told me to leave it on until it came off by itself, at which time, I applied one more and by that time the second one came off, the wound was healed.
So I went to buy this again in the largest size, placed it over my knee and presto. Pain be gone. It created a nice visible blob in the middle where it attached itself to my wound juices, and I have the use of my leg back. Today I am up and about, no more flat on the bed filling my body with Vicodin! Sure it still pains a little, as healing wounds of this nature should, but definitely not the same as yesterday.

I shredded my 64 yr. old shin falling across a tree stump. These are ridiculously expensive and I used more than I needed (wanted to clean seepage unnecessary and didn't want the healing pad to stick to the wound it won't). Make sure the adhesive seal is not on minor abrasions near to the wound. And after it's healed get another expensive product -a scar gel that's all silicone in the ingredients amazing works with twice daily application even on old scars. Both products are technological advances in home health care/first aid. Worthy of purchase.
