First Aid Kit General Purpose

I have purchased five of these, one in each car, take on Boy scout outtings and given some to adult children. My firs one I have used two times, not used now for 2 years but I check it monthly seems to be ready in case I need it.

It covers basic first aid needs. With a little augmentation it is great kit for the car or boat. I recommend it!

Right off the bat, this kit came in a plastic wrapper that already had a tear in it when I went to open it. The outside of the kit as roughed up and scratched looking, and though the picture would imply a sturdy metal case, it is in fact plastic. And one of of the two tabs to hold the box closed was already broken.

The "EFA First Aid Instructions" amount to a single-page pamphlet, the scissors included are puny compared to what it shown, and if there was an organizing principal to how the box was packed, it eludes me.

I suppose for the price what you're getting here is decent enough, but if you were hoping for a tight, compact, metal kit you could supplement, forget about it. My first thought on opening this was that I'd need to replace the case with something more sturdy. Can't really recommend this wholeheartedly, but it's a good cheap kit you could toss out as a small gift item, or put in a seldom-used vehicle.
