It's Gauze. If you're looking to buy this, you probably already know exactly what you're gonna get. 25 sterile 4x4 gauze packets. Pretty simple.

I will point out that mine did not come with a box like the picture shows. Since they were immediately divvied up amongst my various bags and FAKs, I could not care less about external packaging. Just something to take note of, in case this matters to you.

Items showed up unboxed and stuffed in a vanilla envelope.

My guess is these were stolen from a hospital and resold.

Doubt theyre very sterile now.

Some of them look like they were wadded up.

Amazon needs to pull this supplier from their network.

Having used this product for over a week now, I can say that they are the best gauze bandages I've found so far. They are softer and stronger compared to the Johnson & Johnson gauze available in most drugstores.

Amazon shipped the box in a bag clearly added after the fact, but it was well wrapped.

More importantly, now I know why they don't ship the product's own box still sealed. The box indicates a count of 50 bandages, but they sell them in lots of 25, so they remove the removable top half of the box, as visible in the product's picture, and take out half to fulfill the order. Since they advertised 25 for the order, and since the box was wrapped in plastic for shipment (otherwise the individual packets would fall out), I have no problem with this. I do wonder why they don't simply sell them in full packs of 50. The gauze are individually wrapped with the expiration date printed on each one (2017 in the case of my order).

It occurs to me that half of all orders of this product may simply come loose without any original product box since they only have one box per 50 count. Hopefully they'd wrap them in plastic or something else to keep out moisture, as they did with mine, but Amazon packaging is not always consistent though it says a lot about a company that that is the worst complaint I can think of against them.

Edit: As Rebecca Flynn pointed out in the comment below, there are two gauze bandages in each individual packet. So my count was incorrect, which leaves me wondering why they remove the top half of the box if not to divvy up the packages. Nonetheless, my rating stands. These are the best gauze bandages I've found so far.

Howard Leight Max 1D Earplugs Bulk Refill Dispenser 500 pairs

Howard Leight Max 1D Earplugs Bulk Refill Dispenser 500 pairsFirst, I these plugs are great, and I know, because I've used plugs every night for a decade, and have used all shapes, sizes, materials, and price ranges. I also use them during the day at times to create some quiet for reading, work, or just QT. Nothing comes close to these except Flens cotton/wax (if you don't mind the oily feel; I love them at night).

And now that I've put in a good plug for these plugs, click on the pricing and ask yourself who would pay more for 500 pair than for 600 pair (3 sets of 200 pair, for the mathematically challenged). The answer is that few would pay it (though Barnum said there is always one). But the very presence of this "option" causes the price for 200 to appear relatively cheap-a real bargain--so more will buy them than if there had not been the pricier option.

I was fascinated to read some of the psychology of marketing, and how we can be tricked into buying something we'd not have been interested in otherwise. There are excellent examples in the book "Predictable Irrational" (eye-opening and fun book). Such approaches work great with magazine subscriptions, from National Geographic to Harvard Business Review, and people spend small fortunes to get the "freebie" when we all know nothing is free.

I do not, in the least, fault these sellers for their psychological tricks, because it is a great price, regardless. But as the economy tightens, marketers are getting savvier, so it pays to make sure we know the true value of a product, versus its price. Frustrating sometimes--but fun if you take it as a challenge.

Sweet dreams with these plugs...

Tactical First Response Kit - Basic by Rescue Essentials

Tactical First Response Kit - Basic by Rescue EssentialsThe Tactical First Response Kit Basic by Rescue Essentials is designed and advertised to treat severe bleeding yet fails to provide quality products that may not be capable of effectively stopping severe hemorrhaging. If you are in a situation where you or another individual is faced with a life threatening severe arterial bleed I am not convinced that this kit will be effective in stopping the bleed until a higher level of care arrives or until you get to an appropriate medical facility.

The contents of this kit include the following:

1 Pair of Black Talon Nitrile Gloves

1 Laerdal CPR Face Mask

1 SWAT Tourniquet

1 Emergency Pressure Dressing

1 Trauma 5x9 Pad

1 Compressed Gauze

1 Triangular Bandage

1 Petroleum Dressing

1 Combat Medic Reinforcement Tape

The package is vacuum sealed, easy to open, and can be carried in a BDU pocket. Rescue Essentials has this "Basic" kit and an "Advanced" kit. The "Advanced" kit costs more than double the price of the "Basic" kit. Yet, if you or someone you know is in the midst of a medical emergency involving a severe hemorrhage do you want a kit that is completely capable of stopping the bleeding or a "Basic" kit that may be lacking in quality products and is less effective? Remember, minutes count when it comes to life threatening severe bleeding.

Following are my issues with this kit:

It does not include a hemostatic agent which is included in the "Advanced" kit but not this "Basic" kit.

The SWAT Tourniquet, in my opinion, is woefully inadequate for severe life threatening hemorrhaging. I recommend using a C-A-T Combat Application Tourniquet Black by North American Rescue Brand which has proven its effectiveness time and time again in actual combat.

A 5x9 trauma dressing is inadequate for severe bleeding.

The emergency pressure dressing is too small.

Positives of this kit include:

+ Quality Nitrile gloves are excellent gloves that are strong and durable to protect against Bloodborne pathogens such as hepatitis or HIV/AIDS. I do recommend having a minimum of two pairs of gloves in case one of the gloves tears or you need to treat multiple individuals. These gloves are strong but still capable of becoming damaged. Carry an extra set of gloves.

+ The Combat Medic Reinforcement Tape is effective and holds well.

+ The Petroleum Dressing will work for a sucking chest would although I prefer using a Hfyin Chest Seal which again is included in the "Advanced" version.

If you buy this kit I highly recommend adding the following components:

C-A-T Combat Application Tourniquet Black by North American Rescue Brand

Blood clotting agent such as Celox V12090-35 Blood Clotting Solution, 35g Pouch

An occlusive dressing such as the HyFin® Chest Seal for an open chest wound

Minimum of 1-2 extra sets of Nitrile gloves

If you were to only use this "Basic" kit then I would NOT recommend purchasing this product as you will be lacking necessary equipment to effectively stop severe hemorrhaging. The deal breaker with this set up is lack of an effective tourniquet and lack of a hemostatic agent.

Goin' Green Disposable Foam Earplugs PlugStation, 6620 Earplugs Uncorded

Goin' Green Disposable Foam Earplugs PlugStation, 6620 Earplugs UncordedThese Tic Tacs taste funny. They don't have much flavor and are hard to swallow. I don't know what's wrong with them. Are they expired or something? I like the orange ones. Those are awesome. Either way, not bad. Definitely worth selling my firstborn child to those Korean businessmen in the alley behind the CVS to get them.

People may initially be put off by this product, and admittedly paying more than $46k for an earplug dispenser seems a bit excessive at first. They do a great job of blocking sound though. Sure, you could by this many ear plugs for just a few dollars at any hardware store, but you can't brag about those!

The price is certainly right. $46,710.00; well within just about anybody's budget and worth every penny. I mean, how much would YOU pay to not hear things? Yeah me, too. But hold on here, Harvey take a good look at the shipping cost: $10.40! That's ten DOLLARS and forty CENTS! What do they think I am? Made of money? I'm happy to pay the $46,710.00 but that hidden "shipping" charge is just insane! And this isn't an Amazon Prime item, either!

Here's a note to Moldex, the makers of this otherwise wonderful item: until you knock off that larcenous $10.40 shipping charge, it's no deal! "A fool and his money are soon parted" but I know ONE fool who's got ten bucks you'll never see!

For years my ears have been going harmed by the evil sounds of society, I longed for a conventional and affordable product to protect me from the pain of noise pollution! My problem is, I can only purchase products that fit in to two categories.

a) They must be disposable.

b) They must cost less than $50,000.

So you can imagine my excitement when I found the "Earplugs, Disposable, Plugstation with Goin Green, Nascar, Mounting Bracket, Moldex, for hearing protection" Sure, it was a long name for a product that could've easily been summed up in as little as two words "Ear Plugs", but the fun part is I only stumbled across them when searching for Green Nascar Mounting Coin Brackets, so.. two birds.. one stone.

Maurice Sporting Goods FAK-1 Fish Hook Removal Kit

Maurice Sporting Goods FAK-1 Fish Hook Removal KitA few years ago these could be found anywhere. Now they are rare. I don't know if people just stopped buying them or what, but when I tried to find some for first aid kits in day packs, no local stores had them most had never even heard of them!

I've never used one never needed to, but I have seen demonstrations on TV fishing shows in the past. They appeared to work well and easily.

Fish, swim in rivers, creeks or lakes, wade barefooted? Chances are you will need this at some time.

Perfect for the tackle box, boat or emergency first aide bag. The price is fair for what you receive. Haven't needed to use it so I'm not sure about the ease of use (hope it stays that way).

Prestige Medical Ergonomic Diagnostic Hammer

Prestige Medical Ergonomic Diagnostic HammerThe item works well and is heavy enough to elicit reflexes much better than other tomahawk hammers I've used. Babinkski hammers were still much easier to use.

The item's craftsmanship is very rough. The edges between components are not smooth, and the finish has some irregularities here and there. Even the rubber head of the hammer has some rough points. All of these flaws are aesthetic and do not affect the functionality of this hammer.

and i can check for light touch! always a plus. It's a little different than holding that standard default hammer.

This reflex hammer works really well and the price is unbeatable. The hammer is very sturdy and I think that I will definitely get a great deal of use out of it. If you are considering getting this hammer, I think that you should definitely go ahead and buy it!

I got this hammer specifically for the mono-filament. Problem is, in my white coat the knob that pushes the mono filament out is easily moved. The mono filament gets pushed out and gets horrible bent and broken.

Aside from the mono filament, this hammer is just like any others, so not really any reason to choose this hammer over others.

this is a very nice reflex hammer. the curved handle design and added weight makes eliciting DTRs much easier than the smaller hammers. included neurofilament is very useful. but make sure you don't leave this hammer in the heat (as in a car), the glue that holds the neurofilament can melt.

Stephan Baby Boo Bunnie Ice Pack and Boo Cube, Baby Boy Polka Dot

Stephan Baby Boo Bunnie Ice Pack and Boo Cube, Baby Boy Polka DotThis is my second on! Buying this one for my nephew. I love that you can hold the fabric while putti g the ice pack where it is needed. This way little fingers or mom's don't get cold! Love it!

The design is basically a plastic ice cube that you put in the freezer. It slides into the blue material ring behind the bunny's head. Two sides of the plastic cube are completely exposed. I would love something like this with cold gel in the material covered part. This is cute, but not entirely functional.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, 4.2 Ounce

Neutrogena Oil-Free Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, 4.2 OunceBoth my boyfriend and I use this face scrub and love it. One of the reasons he uses it is because it does not smell feminine, it has a neutral odor to it. Its a white, creamy like scrub. I use it in the shower on my face and neck before I wash my face with the cleanser in the morning. I like it because it gets all the dead skin off and leaves my face feeling fresh. My boyfriend says it helps with ingrown hairs on his face. I highly recommend this product for both men and women and with this price its unbeatable.

I've been using this for about two years now and people keep telling me that my skin looks great. I have combination/sensitive skin (the kind that flakes or looks red) so take it from me, THIS WILL DO YOU NO HARM. I haven't used makeup in months! LOVE THIS STUFF.

There are so many skin types, but this one, in combination with the Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask (with benzoyl Peroxide) works great for my 30-something skin. Still prone to break-outs, these products alone keep me break-out free. (I may have an occassional pimple when I am under stress.) I cannot recommend this product enough. Many scrubs contain saylacidic acid which breaks out my skin horribly. This one does not have that, but is just a great exfoliator with the micro beads. AND it smells wonderful!
