I'm using the Curaderm BEC5 treatment to treat some sun spots on my face. At first I used the paper tape I bought at the drug store, it was white, not so porous, and easily lost hold of my face. When using overnight, I would find the paper tape bandages in my bedding and not on my face. The tape being white was very noticeable on my face and I got a lot of comments about how bad it looked and questions about what was wrong with me. To help me stay with the cure without all the notoriety and embarrassment I tried the Tan version of 3M Micropore paper tape. The tan color tape is much less noticeable on my face and some people miss it all together. The shear design is porous and my own skin color blends through the tan tape. The porous nature of the tape helps get air to the protected area and the tape really sticks--All night.
This tape seems excellent for it's original purpose. It is a good skin tone (though probably a little darker than my natural ivory) and is almost gauzy so it's thin and allows the skin to breathe.
I bought this to cover up a tattoo on my finger and behind my ears, so that's mainly what my review is about, sp disregard if this has nothing to dp with your purpose for buying it. It didn't work very well for tattoos. In the past I had worn regular medical tape, which works, so I thought I'd buy skin tone tape so that it's not so obvious. I had to use two layers to cover my tattoos because this tape is thin (so that it's breathable). When it got wet or damp it left goo on my skin. It worked alright behind my ears because it didn't get wet there and it didn't matter if I had two layers of it on. It came off easily and didn't pull my hair.
I gave this tape 5 stars because it is exactly as it is described and would be excellent as a regular medical tape.

I use this tape for my wrists when my arthritis flares up in them. Works fine. Not heavy tape and not all that strong, but going around my wrists a second time with the tape works well helps support the wrist better than any wrist brace I have used.

After dealing with a very dangerous cellulits infection this summer I learned the value of proper first aid. For myself now I have to properly care for each and every cut that draws blood, even if only a paper cut.
Bandaids don't always hold in place in all situations, and sometimes you need something bigger than just a bandaid. This tape fills that need. And being able to buy it by the box made it economical to keep on hand.
Now if I have to put a bandaid on a finger or wrist, or some other not so smooth and stationary spot.. I can add some tape to help hold it in place. I heal quickly, if properly treated.. So bandaging is only needed for 2 or 3 days. But I have to do it a LOT now, to be safe for myself. And that means a LOT of bandaids. This tape makes sure that the ones that I put on, stay on.
Don't quite follow what I'm talking about? You know how when you put a bandaid on your finger and if it's too tight you can't bend your finger, and if it's too loose it comes off the first time you have to grab something that will cause it to pull off? The tape solves that.
It's gentle to skin, even tender skin, stays on well, yet is easy to pull off and leaves no 'ooogies' behind. It allows skin to breathe too.

I bought this tape to use with Curaderm. Glad I did because it worked much better than the paper tape that I had. The skin cancer that I am treating is on the ear and it is hard for regular tape to stick properly. This stays until you take it off and because it is tan it is less noticeable. I have found a way to take the tape off that may make it less painful. Use a non-alcoholic based hand sanitizer. Dip a q-tip into the sanitizer and pull up a corner of the tape, keep rubbing the inside of the tape with the sanitizer as you gently pull to loosen it.

This product works well if you have a moisturizer or something else to go on top of it. It kind of acts like a primer. I let it absorb for 5-10 minutes before adding anything else and it noticeably reduces redness. The only bad thing about it is the price ($34 as of 1-16-2013). The other reviewer said something about the price being "exceptional" but I have no idea what they were talking about.
