This cream is great, I had a type of heat rash on the inside of my thighs for months that would not go away even though I was using Cortizone 10 Maximum Strength on it daily, which actually made it worse! The cream is nice and thick.

Has absolutely no weird smell, nor irritating fragrance smell.

I used it for my baby's eczema he had a moderate case on his arms and regular moisntirazing lotions would not do. I applied this product for 4 nights and already see a huge improvement in the skin's irritation and dryness.

Trying to use a more "all natural" approach to skin care, I used some rosehip seed oil instead of my usual night-time moisturizer. Well, I am apparently allergic to rosehip seed oil because I broke out in a horrible rash (allergic contact dermatitis = swelling, redness, itching, hives/pustules) all over my face and eyes. Even though I had stopped using the RH oil, the rash continued to get worse and worse, so I finally went to the doctor and he gave me a 5-day Rx for Prednisone. It greatly improved the rash, but it didn't take it away completely. So, I called my doc again and he said there was nothing more he could do except refer me to a dermatologist. His nurse made me an appointment for over a month from now. I'd already been suffering with this rash for over a month and didn't want to suffer through another one. So after reading several reviews, I decided to try this product. I bought it last night and used it before I went to bed. I woke up this morning and it's almost completely healed. I wish I would have done this sooner, but I know that putting a steroid on facial skin is frowned upon because it can cause damage. I put a bit more on this morning when I woke up, along with some Aveeno Daily Body Lotion to help with the dryness caused by the rash, but I only plan to use it one more time tonight. I will update this post if things take a turn for the worse, but if as of right now, I'm very satisfied with this product.

Hydrocortisone is a very effective anti-itch cream because it is a very light steroid. It is great for bodily use. I had a doctor tell me I could use it on more sensitive areas of the body such as above my eyes. Do not do this. I repeat, Hydrocortisone is a light steroid and could potentially thin your skin as I later found out. Make sure you only use it on your body, never the face or more delicate areas. Other than that, great product.

I use Neosporin ointment (clear is the most effective) for myself but when my dog, Cooper develops those dreaded 'hot spots' to prevent any sort of funky infection setting in I immediately wash area w/ warm water, antiseptic cleanser, pat dry and then apply Foamy NeoSporin to prevent and keep wound's bacteria at bay. Works really well can't use that goopy ointment on him as his fur will glob together and the foam absolutely does not. Appears it's not readily available at most stores so I've had luck purchasing online. Neosporin now also has a spray, which would work but you really have to keep your dog still and make sure you're spraying the wound rather precisely.

Very handy we use this all the time for minor cuts/scrapes. Great product!

Betadine skin cleanser

For some reason, I tend to get frequent infections on my skin. Bacteria have a field day with me. Betadine takes care of it, time after time. I haven't run into anything so far that Betadine hasn't been able to help with (including the initial stages of impetigo) or cure (including infected splinters and boils). Gentle on the skin, tough on bacteria.

For those out there that struggle with similar underarm issues especially when they exercise, you may want to try using this product to cleanse under the arms. It disinfects and kills bacteria that naturally accumulates under the arms. To most people this is simply manageable with soap and deodorant but to some it can be a challenge to control with typical methods. This product is very effective to control underarm "issues!" It is safe and with regular use there is even no need to use deodorant even when you exercise. At least this has been my experience. Deodorant can contain chemicals that are not very safe to our bodies, so using this skin cleanser is an added benefit if you worry about the use of deodorant.

This tape was recommended by my puppy's breeder. The adhesive stays fastened to the ears until it's time to change out the posts (usually 4-7 days). This is important because of the crop that my puppy has, which is a very high show crop. It is also relatively easy to remove this without an excessive amount of adhesives desolver. This is a fantastic product for this purpose if you do not want to use the glue method for ear posting.

This is a great tape for dog bandages on legs, it flexes and stays on, but does come off nicely when you want it too. I have used it on my dogs for various things, even ear taping, again the flexibility and stickiness is perfect.

I used this as the top dressing while managing a wound and infection on my horse. I used it daily for nine weeks and it worked perfectly. Once it is in place, it provides protection against moisture and dirt as well as providing a secure bandage. I now keep it on hand, just in case. After 45 years of marriage and a radical prostatectomy we've had loads of experience with lubricating jelly. Witch Hazel Dickinson Astringent Blue Label - 16 Oz

I love this witch hazel and use it as a base for a lot of things. It soothes scalp itchiness, works wonderfully as a toner, I've also used it mixed with tea tree oil and lavender as a natural liquid deodorant and mixed it with citronella oil and lavender as a bug repellent that also works fairly well to clean up hands when my family is out having a picnic.

It's also pretty inexpensive. A very nice old fashioned remedy that comes in handy to have in your medicine cabinet!

I am a fan of using witch hazel product. I got this for free after rebated at my local drug store. after reading all the positive reviews from many different sites. i don't find any reviewer online that have mention about anything aboout causing irritation on skin. and decide to give it a try. i try it on my face as a toner and i feeling cool and refreshed. but few second later, there's irritation occurs and shows sign of large size of pore appearance minor buring and redness on my cheecks. the syndromes are same when i first tried the sea breeze astringent for sensitive skin. I called the dickinson hot line to ask them why dickinson yellow label and blue label got similar ingredients. but the blue label irriated my skin? they explained that the yellow one contains witch hazel extract/ witch hazel flower extract and is much more gentle than the blue label one. blue one is better for pharmaceutical usage.

I quit using and go back to my dickinson oil controlling astringent. this one is the best b/c is astringent contains witch flower extract, controls oil and reduce sizes of pore causing no irritation!

first i thought the TN blue label astingent and dickinson oil controlling astringent are pretty much the same thing, except the blue one is more valuable size. that's why i would give it tried, but i guess blue one doesn't suit for my skin. i got combination oil and sensitive skin. next time when i buy witch hazel product and i have to read the ingredients carefully. ^_^|| now i know the difference b/w dickinson yellow label, blue label and oil controling astrigent.

Adventure Medical Kits Outfitter Kit

Very comprehensive first aid kit. This kit will take care of the vast majority of incidents you may have around the house or while on an extended hiking/camping trip. It's also well organized in quickly identifiable pouches based on type of injury. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is there are a few areas of improvement especially considering this kit tries to sell itself as a "hunters" trauma kit. If you are going to be around firearms or plan to use this for any serious wounds I would highly recommend adding an artificial coagulant such as Cellox or the new (non heat producing) Quikclot. Make sure you don't get the old stuff. It might stop the bleeding, but it'll cause severe burns.

Additionally, you may want to add an Israeli bandage again for any serious wound. One package to open that has everything you need to completely cover a large wound and duals as a pressure dressing if needed with a built in clasp to secure the wrap. That's in comparison to using what's in this kit and having to open a 4 x 4 sterile pad, applying that to the wound, wrapping it with gauze and taping it down, then having to take even more steps if you need to apply a pressure dressing.

Simple fix though. I just purchased a packet of Cellox and an Isreali bandage and added it in. Both of which are sold on Amazon.

The kit arrived in the time it was supposed to and was exactly what the discription said it was. The Adventure Guide was smaller than I thought it would be but is absolutely packed with great field and emergency medicine info. We got it as a more comprehensive medical kit to backpack with and to keep in our survival bag. I'm also very happy that there is extra room in the kit for additional or replacement supplies. I plan to add everything we had in our home-made medical kit to this kit as well. Great buy and the price on Amazon was the lowest I found for this kit.

I determined that this kit was the best choice among the dozens of crazy permutations by comparing the FEMA first aid kit recommendations with Rawle's list in his book How to Survive the End of the World as We Know It: Tactics, Techniques, and Technologies for Uncertain Times. The kit is lightweight and has plenty of room for my other purchase: two of the Israeli Bandage Battle Dressing, First Aid Compression Bandage. There's a nice smaller kit you can bring with you. There are a lot of zippered areas to keep things organized. And upon receipt of the kit everything was well-sealed up so I'm confident nothing's missing (although I did some spot checking).

In the end, if you want to get a kit with the recommended items and don't want to spend hours hunting down things like EMT shears iodine swabs and disposable thermometers, only to have to over-purchase the items, this is a good value in the end. Pure 216 First Aid Disinfecting Wipes For Hands and Face

These wipes contain diazolidinyl urea as the main ingredient. Diazolidinyl urea is a formaldehyde releaser and has also been known to cause an allergic reaction on contact, sometimes fairly severe.

Studies have shown diazolidinyl urea to be safe in cosmetics at a .5% concentration, but there is no information as to the concentration in this product.

I won't buy these again and am considering tossing them out.

First Aid Only 1" X 3" Fabric Bandage, 50-Count Boxes (Pack of 3)

Forget paying lots of money for small boxes of BandAids at Walgreens. These are just as good and the price is a crazy deal.

They stay on long enough to stem the cut, but not forever. When I washed my hands after doing something, the adhesive loosened up a bit, even though the bandage clung to my finger. But then, you shouldn't be exposing the thing to water in the first place. It's fabric, and exposing it to liquid will likely increase the possibility of nasties getting in.

These are completely worthless; even without getting wet they fall off easily, and if wet at all completely lose their cling. Costs less, but even a little is too much for bandages that don't work. Awful, just awful.

Little Noses Saline Spray/Drops

Saline drops are saline drops. Nothing special here. It does what it's supposed to. However, this is a pretty dumb design for dispensing drops to infants. It's hard to find these old school medications anymore, so I'm glad to find it online. It's amazing what a relief this stuff gives, within a minute of putting it on. I also hate anti-biotics, since you're just making the bacteria that survive resistant to antibiotics, and making life more difficult for all of us in the future. So this old school ointment is my favorite for splinters, insect bites, ingrown toenails, cuts, etc. even once they're infected. It softens the wound allowing the body to expel the splinter, and I'm surprised again and again how effective it is.
