It's also pretty inexpensive. A very nice old fashioned remedy that comes in handy to have in your medicine cabinet!I am a fan of using witch hazel product. I got this for free after rebated at my local drug store. after reading all the positive reviews from many different sites. i don't find any reviewer online that have mention about anything aboout causing irritation on skin. and decide to give it a try. i try it on my face as a toner and i feeling cool and refreshed. but few second later, there's irritation occurs and shows sign of large size of pore appearance minor buring and redness on my cheecks. the syndromes are same when i first tried the sea breeze astringent for sensitive skin. I called the dickinson hot line to ask them why dickinson yellow label and blue label got similar ingredients. but the blue label irriated my skin? they explained that the yellow one contains witch hazel extract/ witch hazel flower extract and is much more gentle than the blue label one. blue one is better for pharmaceutical usage.
I quit using and go back to my dickinson oil controlling astringent. this one is the best b/c is astringent contains witch flower extract, controls oil and reduce sizes of pore causing no irritation!
first i thought the TN blue label astingent and dickinson oil controlling astringent are pretty much the same thing, except the blue one is more valuable size. that's why i would give it tried, but i guess blue one doesn't suit for my skin. i got combination oil and sensitive skin. next time when i buy witch hazel product and i have to read the ingredients carefully. ^_^|| now i know the difference b/w dickinson yellow label, blue label and oil controling astrigent.

I started using this product after I saw a review online for good astringents and since I have issues with using certain products on my face. I've got sensitive skin as well so I have to be super careful what products I use to keep them clean. I had been using other products like this one but they tended to irritate my skin then I would get an allergic reaction or break out badly. Ever since I started using this, I have noticed that my skin is cleaner and it is crazy how much stuff this picks up that cleansers leave behind. It's 100% witch hazel unlike other witch hazel on the market. I definitely recommend this product to anyone that wants to improve their skin.Read Best Reviews of Witch Hazel Dickinson Astringent Blue Label - 16 Oz Here
Tried this one after using astringent, and worked wonders! My acne dried up fast! Pair with moisturizer afterwards as it tends to dry the skin. A little strong-scented but the smell goes away once in contact with skin. Definitely a must-have.Want Witch Hazel Dickinson Astringent Blue Label - 16 Oz Discount?
What's the second ingredient in Dr. Perricone's Super Detox Elixir? What's the second ingredient in Murad Clarifying Toner? What's the second ingredient in Olek Henriksen Grease Relief Face Tonic? I could go on and on.....but I'll just let you know. It's witch hazel, which you can find in your local pharmacy for a few bucks, is a great astringent. And its one in its purest form. What is witch hazel? It is the leaves and bark of the North American shrub known as Hamamelis Virginiana (sometimes you might see this on a label as an ingredient in your favorite toner or astringent instead of the words "witch hazel"). Witch hazel naturally grows in Nova Scotia in Canada, and Florida in the United States.
Witch hazel can be used for so many things but using it as your daily astringent can not only give you great skin but also a lot of bang for your buck! In addition, witch hazel is an herbal and natural product and thus it is great for sensitive skin. You can apply it after shaving, waxing and any kind of skin care regimen.
There is a reason you can find witch hazel in so many skin care products. It has so many benefits: it reduces excess sweating and oil secretion, helps with large pores, treats acne, and helps with various other skin conditions. The astringent also has anti-inflammatory properties. If you have ever had a facial, you will notice that usually after extractions, your aesthetician will apply with hazel to your skin. Witch hazel can also help prevent the development of acne as well as treat existing acne and pimples. This is the reason why it is frequently used in acne skin care products.
Another approach for using witch hazel astringent is treating psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, diaper rash and poison ivy rash in the natural way. Witch hazel is also one of the best herbal remedies for alleviating sunburns and windburns.
And the best part is that you can pick it up at your local pharmacy for about five bucks! Hope you enjoyed this skincents tip! For more tips and reviews visit pimples and wrinkles.
