NOW Foods Tea Tree Oil

NOW Foods Tea Tree Oil, 1-OunceThis IS 100% Tea Tree oil. Great product, as I'd expect from NOW. I own other essential oils of theirs as well. One gripe I have about this, however: NO DROPPER with this 4 oz bottle! This is the first 4 oz bottle I've bought from them of any kind of essential oil. The others I own are 1 oz bottles, and have built-in tops for getting one drop at a time. Lacking that is NOT A GOOD THING FOR ME!! I generally only use a few drops at a time, and I'm extraordinarily clumsy and have shaky hands! Not having expected the bottle to lack that special top, I was a bit annoyed at having to seek out a separate dropper so I could use this. Oh well. I have one now, but I'm also forewarned. I'm assuming the other 4 oz bottles of essential oil lack the special drop-tops as well. I wonder why? The assumption that if I buy this much as a time I must use larger quantities at once?

Do some research on its properties and uses if you haven't already. This oil is absolutely incredible! Being antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiviral, it has myriad applications. I wont go through them all, as other reviewers have named several, but I can list some of the unnamed uses for it.

MY unique uses: I mix it in a spray bottle with distilled water, and have several uses for this. It's effective in keeping my dog away from plants, and the garbage can, as it's very unappealing to them. As an added bonus, it's disinfecting the garbage can when I use it this way. BEWARE, however, because the oil is TOXIC if ingested, and if I'm not mistaken, I believe I read it shouldn't be used anywhere near cats. Double-check on that before use. I don't own any cats.

You can also use this spray in a travel size spray bottle for a hand sanitizer. No more alcohol, and tea tree is superior. It's even effective at killing MRSA, which is pretty impressive!

I've mixed the oil with my shampoo, made homemade vinegar rinses with it, put it in homemade balms, sugar scrubs, the list goes on. It's great for an ointment for small scratches or bites, applied to ingrown hairs to prevent infection, used in a soak for any fungus on the feet, etc. etc. Some people DO react if it's applied undiluted, though my husband and I have not. This is probably prevented because if I apply it this way, it's only on a tiny spot like an ingrown hair, and applied with a cotton swab. Diluted with a carrier oil, in a balm or scrub, it makes a pretty impressive difference on eczema.

I made a sugar scrub with this (and carrier oils) for my cousin for Christmas. She immediately raved to me about the effect she saw and felt on her psoriasis! :D

It is also ASTONISHINGLY effective at killing mold. I had a pretty bad outbreak of mold in my house once, and as I'm allergic, it was serious. This was my first use for tea tree oil, after research on how to be rid of mold naturally. Even disgusting chemical cleaners and disinfectants didn't rid my house of it, and I'd nearly given up. Suited up with mask and protection, I attacked all the mold with tea tree oil, and it NEVER came back. Careful when spraying in large quantities, however, and wear a mask. This can be very irritating if inhaling the mist or if you get it into your eyes.

I tried clear nail polish, tying my skin tags, everything that I could think of to get rid of these skin tags on my neck. I finally made an appointment to have them removed for the low price of $180.00. (I just could not bring myself to pay that much money because I do not have that many skin tags). I finally read an article that stated tea tree oil removes skin tags. Well I decided to try removing them one more time before my appointment. Tea tree oil definitely removes skin tags. I already have one gone and several more drying up and flaking off. The smell is strong and it does slightly sting when applying but that goes away in about 2 maybe 3 minutes. Nothing unbearable. If you have skin tags that you would like to remove, try this first method first.

I am never without tea tree oil and not loyal to any brand. Just make sure it's undiluted. Always buy 100% Essential Tea Tree Oil. I buy it in 16 ounce bottles. It last a long time.

As long as it's 100 percent tea tree oil I'm good. It works from everything to getting rid of fleas and mange on dogs to lice and ring worm on children. It even dries out a pimple fairly quickly. And if I were ever to have nail fungus I would treat it with tea trea oil before resorting to other medications.

For lice I place a few drops into a dime sized blotch of shampoo and wash kids hair as usual. Then I do the same with their leave in conditioner and then blow dry child's hair completely. Both the heat and the oil kill the lice. To be on the safe side I treat everyone in the house.

Then I soak brushes and combs daily in a water/tea tree oil mix. 40 drops to every 8 ounces of water. You can reuse the water mix if you do this in a bucket.

I also make up the same solution of 60 drops to 8 ounces of water and place it in a spritz bottle so I can spray all our furniture, bedding, clothes, stuffies and whatever else you think might have a louse on it.

I even put 40 drops into my laundry soap and fabric softener. Not the whole bottle, but 40 drops for every wash and rinse cycle. Hope this makes sense.

Sadly, when my children where in elementary school lice was abundant and we had to deal with it on four occasions. The first two times I used the regular products. They are both expensive and not nearly as effective as the tea tree oil, nor as safe. The third time I did two regular shampoos with the chemical ridden shampoos and followed up with tea tree oil regimen that I listed above. That worked great. The fourth time I treated only with tea tree oil regimen and it was super easy to get rid of.

For mange with dogs it's similar as the lice treatment. I place several drops into both their dime sized blob of shampoo and conditioner. I leave in the conditioner. And then spray them down with the sprintzer full of 60 drops of oil to every 8 ounces of water. In between baths I sprintz them down two times a day and rub the solution into their skin. I also spritz their bedding between washes and carpeting and anything they may lie on. I swear it works better than the mange dip I got from the vet and the over the counter mange stuff I bought at the feed store. Plus, it's safer to use than what the vet gives you and smells so much better than what is at the feed store. And most importantly completely gets rid of it.

I also use it in my mop water and my kitchen and bathroom cleaning solutions. I place several drops into my hand soap dispensers. And I even use it to disinfect cuts and other sores. It's really a great product.

I was concerned this might be diluted given the price (although NOW is a very good brand for nutrition supplements, good price and quality, I had not bought any of their essential oils before). This smells pure, clean and strong, works medicinally as well as it should.

Summers Laboratories Triple Paste Medicated Ointment for Diaper Rash

Triple Paste Medicated Ointment for Diaper Rash, Fragrance Free, HypoallergenicHere's some things to remember about this product if you're a first time user:

-Medicated unlike a lot of other creams/lotions/ointments

-Thick paste-like ointmenta little goes a long way

-A big tub lasts a long time so don't be worried to spend a little extra

-For DIAPER RASH so don't use it on anything else!!

The Triple paste ointment is something I use for severe cases of diaper rash only. It's very heavy it takes a long time to absorb and it makes the baby a lot less cranky which is wonderful. Between the diaper rash cream for her and nipple cream to help soothe my wife (Motherlove Nipple Cream + FREE Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion Fragrance Free 8 oz.) I have a lot less on my plate to worry about. Our baby is breast-fed so my wife gets aches and sore on a regular basis which causes her to be almost as cranky as the baby! The nipple cream is safe if a baby latches on afterwards and it helps make my life easier. Diaper rash cure, nipple pain cure...all is well in my world again.

I read through the great reviews and decided to give it a try. I was so surprised at how FAST this works! Our baby's diaper rash seemed to 'almost' go away with other products but it took days. Without hours, I could see a different using Triple Paste. The next day it was totally gone.

Now we use powder during the day, unless there's sign of a rash, and use the Triple Paste at night before bed. The 16 ounce jar has lasted us 10ish months and we still have some left. You shouldn't need a tablespoon full like I read from another review.

I've also bought a separate tube for myself and found it works just as wonderful for chafing!

Buy Summers Laboratories Triple Paste Medicated Ointment for Diaper Rash Now

Our first tube of Triple Paste was given to us as a gift for a baby shower and I'm so glad it was! Since we send a tube to daycare and seemed to use the other one up quickly with it working so well, we wanted to always have some on hand, so the 16-ounce is a great size for us. There are several types of creams, ointments, etc. for diaper rash I didn't know where to start or what to get and am so glad someone recommended this to us. This ointment is nice and thick, really works quickly & almost instantly for any diaper rashes my son has had. Even as I put it on him, it seems to calm him down & soothe the pain. I have not tried any other diaper ointments on my son and I don't intend to do so this works better than expected. Definitely passing along to all my mom friends.

My poor 6 week old baby girl had a pretty bad diaper rash. Her skin was raw and bleeding. She screamed at every diaper change. We tried Desitin, A&D ointment, Balmex, and plain old corn starch. Nothing helped at all. I went online and looked up some info and found this stuff. I went to my local 24hr pharmacy at 1am and bough the 2oz tube. It made a huge difference from one diaper change to the next. It is a pricier than the other stuff but my baby's comfort is well worth it. I'm going to buy the 1lb tub and make sure I use it at every single diaper change. I don't ever want to see my baby suffer with another diaper rash. Don't waste your money and more importantly your baby's comfort on anything else. Just get this stuff first.

21st Century Melatonin 5 mg Tablets, 120-Count

21st Century Melatonin 5 mg Tablets, 120-CountI've had problems falling asleep, but never tried any kind of sleeping pills until a few years ago. Of the couple of brands I've tried, this one seems to work the best, and is a great deal too. I hadn't seen this brand before until last month, but since it was the only one the store had in stock that was 5mg, I decided to give it a shot. Man, that first night, I was out and didn't wake up until I got a full 8 hours of sleep. Since then, there have only been a few times where I needed to take another tablet, or they didn't seem to kick in at all, but that probably has more to do with whatever I ate a little before, or just thinking about too much when I'm laying there, as I usually do.

The bottle recommends to take one tablet 30 minutes before you go to bed, and that's about how long it takes to kick in. I don't feel drowsy or sluggish after waking up, and the times I've had to wake up early (5-6 hours after I go to bed), the alarm woke me up, so that's a sign that these things don't practically put you in a coma. There's no taste or smell to these either.

For people like me that work nights and have trouble falling asleep, or people that just need help going to sleep, I highly recommend these tablets. I'll be sticking with this brand for a while.

I do not have terrible insomnia but from time to time, I can't shut my mind down. I really like that I just feel sleepy, not drugged or groggy. I sleep soundly and wake up rested. Never had any lingering feelings of sleepiness. One thing that may be a side effect are weird dreams. Lots of them. Not bad ones, just strange. Doesn't keep me from taking one if I need it, though.

Melatonin is a natural hormone made by the body to regulate sleep. Some people who have irregular sleeping habits can find it hard to go to sleep at the right time. Melatonin supplements are a great way to give your body the extra "bump" you require to get your rest when you need it, without causing a druggy-thick feeling the next morning like other types of sleep aids can. Be warned though, if you take this...go to bed! It will make you really tired and groggy when it hits, so don't plan on driving or anything afterwards.

Scarguard MD 0.5 fl oz.

Scarguard MD 0.5 fl ozHi. Yeah, this stuff smells like nail polish when you open it and put it up to your nose / and first going on. But don't worry, it doesn't keep smelling like that. The smell fades fast. This is best used on body parts that are NOT visible to the public like breasts (after surgery) and cesarean section scars etc...because after you put it on it dries and looks like paper on your skin. Yes, paper. Very thin, translucent paper that won't come off your skin IF you have it covered by a bra or underwear. BUT if you put it on an active area of your body like elbow or leg, sure, it's going to flake right off with movement. BUT if you use it for conditions like I mentioned above, can deal with a little stink and mess putting it on / both don't last and the area is then covered with a bra or clothing for the day no poblem and IT WORKS GREAT. BUT if you have an active area that other people see and it's not covered I'd go with Kelocote gel (buy from Ebay 60gm tube best deal / no I don't sell it there). Oh don't get it here... get this product (Scarguard) at CVS. I did. It was $20.00 and 50% off! DEAL. Okay, that's the scoop. Been using it for a month and scars are nearly GONE. Don't let anyone tell you nothing will remove scars completely--they just haven't tried this stuff yet. Don't fret at the smell or appearance of it just know it's for the MUCH greater good... and use on places no one sees... (but then if no one sees it why use it?) Good question. Because we don't like scars seen or unseen, they are all seen by US. Take care.

Loading...

With this product you receive a little bottle that looks like clear nail polish. And guess what? It also smells like nail polish, is applied like nail polish, and dries like nail polish. But it's not as thick as nail polish so it flakes and peels off almost as soon as it dries. I can't say if it really works or not because I couldn't find a way to keep it on my scar. I would recommend trying silicone sheets, cost is about the same and I saw a vast improvement with them.

My surgeon specifically recommended ScarGuard ScarCare to treat the scars following surgery (after the proper healing time). I happened to read a few reviews before purchasing and I'm so glad I did! Between those and my own experience I can recommend this product. I've been using it for about 6 months now (have gone through 2 1/2 bottles) and the scarring is very minimal. I plan on continuing to use it for another 6 months as per the doctor's recommendation.

What I've learned that may be helpful:

Don't use the cap with brush...it doesn't seal well and the brush is not the best way to apply the liquid.

Keep and continue to use the small, red plug and cap without brush that it ships with.

Use your middle finger apply with your finger over the opening, turn the bottle upside down and give a little shake/flick to get a decent amount on your finger tip. Immediately smooth (for long scars) or dab (for small scars) onto scar.

Apply 2-3 coats per use on long scars.

It'll flake up and look like its not adhering, but it is. The edges tend to peel away and look ridiculous. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes and then gently rub the loose flakes off. The center portion should be shiny and firmly adhered to the scar. If not, apply again! My scars are under clothing, so I don't have to worry too much about the flaking, but I read other reviewers complaining about it.

It doesn't look good with make-up applied the packaging claims you can apply make-up over it once its dried and they're technically correct. You CAN apply make-up, but it doesn't look natural it looks like a wart. In my case, the small scar I was trying to lighten looked better minus make-up at all. I only apply at night to that one.

Last summer I was out running and took a bad fall that gave me deep cuts on my knee and forehead. I probably should have gone to the emergency room for stitches, but I didn't and ended up with some nasty looking scars.

So I bought a bottle of ScarGuard because the scar on my forehead was quite unattractive. I didn't bother treating the scar on my knee because I really don't care how my knee looks. After faithfully using ScarGuard twice a day for about 3 months now, the scar on my forehead is barely visable, but the untreated scar on my knee is still the way it was originally.

I'm not sure if the product will work for everyone, but it clearly worked for me.

My only complaint and the only reason for 4 starts is that it leaves a silicone film on the scar that looks a little strange.

I see that other people have complained about the smell, but I didn't find it that bad, and it smells only briefly while applying it.

Another person had a problem with the cap, but the cap I used was fine. The company may have corrected the problem.

PRO:

I had a birthmark on my neck that was fairly large, I would like to say the size of two quarters. I went and got Cryosurgery done to get the birthmark removed (three treatments). After the third time of the cryosurgery a keloid scar was left over that was very large and noticeable. So I started to use ScarGuard MD and in two days it actually shrunk double it size. I have been using scarguard MD for about one week now and the scar is almost completely gone, I am so glad I found this product. I finally wont feel self conscious about my birthmark/scar anymore

CON:

The only downside I have with this product is that when you apply this product it can get just a little itchy. I don't find this to be a major problem but the only reason why I am mentioning this is that it is very IMPORTANT not to scratch your scars. If you want your scars to go away you can not scratch them. after two minutes of applying ScarGuard MD the itchiness will go away after the hydrocoritisone is soaked into your scar.

Side Note:

I have day by day pictures of my scar healing with ScarGuard MD, if you would like I would be more then willing to show you how my scar has healed with this product. I stand by this product and even appreciate the fact that I stumbled upon it.

Adventure Medical Kits Pocket Medic KitGreat assortment of products. I ended up buying 2, one for me and one for my girlfriend. There were a few items in there I wouldn't have thought of buying for this kit.

I purchased these for the tweezers and the bag itself so the two-fer deal was great. There is enough room in the bag for some extra gauze pads(2x2) and some medicine/personal care items. These fit in a cargo pocket perfectly and are very light. This kit is only a supplement to a good first-aid pack but is easy to always have on your person. Nexxus Nexxus Promend Split End Treatment Daily Shampoo

Nexxus ProMend Shampoo, Split End Treatment, 13.5 OunceI'm not going to lie, I was VERY unsure about this product but I decided to buy it anyway. I straighten and blow dry my hair everyday. My split ends were getting to the point of having a mind of their own. I absolutely HATE getting my hair cut so I just avoid it and only go when my hair is REALLY bad (you'd think I'd learn...). Well it was getting to that point and I was dreading having to cut so much of my hair off so I decided to try something new. Honestly, I couldn't pick up a hunk of my hair without finding some pretty insane split ends. It just wasn't possible. So, I decided to take one last attempt at buying a product that is suppose to mend split ends.

Boy, am I glad I did. Not only does it smell WONDERFUL but I could see and feel a huge improvement after the first wash. I'm not going to say that I was split end free but this product improved the health of my ends greatly. A hair cut will still be in order but instead of having to cut 4 inches or so off I could probably squeak by with an inch or so.

I will definitely continue to buy and use this product. It is a miracle worker. And did I mention that the smell is amazing?

Amazing difference after the first use of this and the conditioner. My hair is fine and tinted. The conditioner didn't give that slick conditioned feeling. far stiffer but the stuff soaks in like mad. I used the leaveiin as well. My color looks richer, ends no longer brittle & fuzzy. the longer I use Pro Mend, the more my over processed hair looks freshly cut. As a former hairdresser, I'm stunned by that. Its hair rescue.

I permed my hair in August 2011 thinking I might go for that look rather than messing with my hair each day, but unfortunately couldn't stand the look, so I reverted back to heat styling. Needless to say, my hair has taken a beating for the past several months. I tried to preserve it, but I just didn't have any luck. When I saw this line on sale at Costco, I took two sets because I had read such good things about it. I washed my hair with the shampoo which felt nice and moisturizing. I followed up with the very thick conditioner, which also seemed like it might be promising. I also tried the leave in included. When my hair dried, I was a bit dismayed....my hair felt like straw. I figured it might change after I flat ironed the next day, but it was still stiff. To make things worse, every time I touched my hair, I got a sticky residue on my hand. It appears that this is how this product works. Another reviewer likened this product to glue. I have to agree. Also, I tried not using the leave in to see if that would help...it didn't. My hair was still sticky.

We all know that no shampoo, conditioner, or leave in is going to get rid of split ends, but rather just reduce the appearance of the split ends. I did not have this luck with most of the Nexxus Pro-Mend Line. I gave it a few days, then returned both sets when I didn't see any visible improvement in my hair to justify the sticky feeling. I will say that I do have some Pro-Mend Heat Protexx heat protectant that I purchased before I bought the rest of this line, and it is great. Nice, light weight, and leaves no sticky residue. I will continue to use that. Just not the shampoo, conditioner, or leave in.

In general, it is best to get a hair cut if your hair is in bad condition, but as in my case, sometimes it just isn't practical. My bangs are badly damaged at the ends due to the perm and the fact that I hit this part of my hair hardest with the flat iron, but I just can't go much shorter. If you are looking for something that reduces the appearance of split ends, you might try Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor (Different from Nexxus Emergencee, I like Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor better). I used it just last night and it has done a stellar job at reducing the appearance of split ends in my bangs. Dare I say, a stellar job? I believe it fused most of them together as it appears today that they are more or less gone. I know they are still there, but I can't see them. It is awesome. This is exactly what Pro-Mend was supposed to do, except the Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky.

Want Nexxus Nexxus Promend Split End Treatment Daily Shampoo Discount?

I think everyone is a little skeptical of this product at first because it just sounds too good to be true! Well its not magic in a bottle but it does really improve your split ends. It doesnt seem to me like it actually mends mine but it helps the pieces lie closer together and look more like 1 strand which will of course help you with your frizz problems. I saw the most dramatic difference the first time I used the product (like the commercial says). More than anything I love the way it makes my hair smell and feel. I do recommend this product to my friends and will continue to use it because I feel it makes my hair look and feel much healthier. As for mending split ends, Im not sure how true that is but I would say it probably does better at preventing them by keeping your hair healthy so start using it after you get a haircut.

Redmond RealSalt First Aid Hydrated Clay

Redmond Trading First Aid Hydrated Clay 4 OzMy sister-in-law introduced me to this line of products, about 3 years ago. I have used this for my children. My daughter received a bee sting I applied it directly on top of the sting; within the first 1/2 hour; the swelling, redness, and irritation went down, and by the next day no visible sign of the bee sting was apparent-except a small dot where the stinger had penetrated. She is 4 years old and the product worked perfectly. I highly recommend this and other Redmond Clay products. 5 STARS.

Redmond Clay is amazing!

I cut myself far too frequently while sculpting and unfortunately some of the materials are not "non-toxic". I used to apply Neosporin or Bactine and it would take 1-2 weeks for a cut to heal. I had some powdered Redmond Clay and decided to mix it with water and apply it to a really nasty cut that was getting worse with Bactine.

Within 12 hours the swelling and pain had subsided and after 24 hours the redness was gone and the cut was closing up. On the third day I no longer needed a bandage.

After using the clay with great results on a few more cuts, a mosquito bite and a spider bite, I decided to purchase the First Aid tube. The consistency is perfect and it is really convenient.

Colgate Colgate Peroxyl Mouth Sore Rinse Alcohol-Free Mild Mint

Colgate Colgate Peroxyl Mouth Sore Rinse Alcohol-Free Mild Mint, Mild Mint 8 ozPeroxyl helps cut down the time I have canker sores. Anyone who suffers from canker sores knows that even having one for a day less is a miracle. I usually use it once in the morning and once at night during a flareup. Even though the flavor isn't the best (mint mixed with peroxide) I'll sometimes use it before eating to dull the nerves.

The rinse doesn't have the burn of alcohol (so your tongue is safe), but you'll feel it clean out your sores. Not a pleasant 60 seconds, but worth it.

I had some small sores right along my gumline that kept bleeding and were painful to brush. I tried this stuff after brushing my teeth one night. After about 20 seconds I could feel my eyes watering from the peroxide but I persisted through it. After I spit it out I noticed my gumline was a lot smoother and tighter. The peroxide had done its job and washed away some of the infected outerlayers. While it was expensive, about 6 bucks at Walmart, it did a good job.

After reading several reviews from different websites, (all positive), I was really looking forward to having found the apparent 'best of the best' products to get rid of canker sores. I suffer from extreme canker sores that are brought on by the simplest of factors from extreme weather changes, sickness, food/acidity sensitivities, and stress. I get perhaps anywhere from 5 to 10 in a single year.

Going to the store and spending quite a bit of money on such a small bottle really did make me expect big things. I followed the directions; I rinsed four times a day, once in the morning, twice after I ate, and before I went to bed. However, after every rinsing, I found that nothing really happened. It just burned/tingled, like a regular mouth wash used for breath-freshening. It didn't numb the pain that was caused by the sores in my mouth at the time. Over time, after every rinsing, the pain worsened and the canker sores seemed to 'develop' usually this a term I use when I see a sore is slowly going away. But this time, they seemed to develop into something much more painful than before, to the point where they became 2x bigger than the original size and I could no longer open my mouth or talk. The sores actually opened up and became even more painful to deal with.

So in my case, all this product did was make my breath slightly fresher (I didn't see any 'whitening' or anything like that) but htat's about it. The real reason I bought this product was because I wanted my canker sores gone and I wanted the pain while waiting for the sores to go away to be relieved. This product neither of that and only made my condition worse and also formed another one.

For that, and the outrageous price for such a small amount, I have to rate this one star, but I would give it zero if I could.

Not to say that this won't work for everyone who tries because I've read plenty of reviews that say the opposite...however, it is my duty as someone who has tried this product that it won't work in ALL cases.

I used this after having a dental procedure and it really helped. It also made my teeth appear whiter! I think it's overpriced, that's the only negative.

I purchased this product last night and couldn't believe how fast it soothed the pain! It's only temporary but then I just rinse again and I am once again relieved! It's so soothing! I just rinse so I don't have to hit the "right" spot. Other products are too harsh. Zilactin-B stings and is a mess! It makes it look like I got in a bar fight and can get worse if split open. Canker covers are gross and way too thick! Why are they so thick?!! Kanka was my previous go to for mouth sores, but it hurts with application then numbs everything it comes in contact with (especially the tongue!) and if I sleep with it on I would wake up with lips like Angelina Jolie's but they look all weird and crooked! Anbesol does the same thing except it doesn't last as long! Blistex is also very soothing. I would use it with Peroxyl for times when you can't rinse your mouth out. I also alternate with warm salt water which in my opinion heals the fastest. I don't know how fast this will heal my sore, but I am very optimistic giving how I feel just the next day! I have heard if you bite your lip and rinse with Peroxyl, it will prevent the canker sore from forming. I am very excited about this prospect as this happens to me often! Oh and you can eat after using Peroxyl! It will even help numb it enough to eat without ruining the taste of your meal! Amazing product!

Nexcare Earloop Mask, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 2)

Nexcare Earloop Mask, 20-Count BoxesThe Nexcare masks are a great product, unlike the Drug/Hardware store molded variety, they are comfortable to wear, conform easily to seal around the bridge of the nose and are durable enough to allow repeated usage. All at a very reasonable price.

Great for cleaning, file purging, lawn mowing and so many other things. Quite comfortable and less steaming up of the glasses.

Micropore Medical Tape, White Paper SINGLE ROLL - 2 in. x 10 yards

Micropore Medical Tape, White Paper SINGLE ROLL - 2 in. x 10 yardsIn my opinion this tape is absolutely awesome. My son has a ulcer on his perianal area and this is the only tape that doesn't rip my son's skin when removed. It works even better when it gets to moist to. If your using it for wound care its a necessity!

Ivy Block Ivy Block Lotion

Ivy Block - 4 ozI am one of those fortunate 1% known as "hyper sensitive". I do not even need to come in contact with the plant to get an urushiol reaction. If a deer brushes past the plant and then sheds fur on the trail, I get it. Dust that gets through my clothes exposes me to it. Allergists across the west coast marvel at my sensitivity. Whoopee. And EVERY TIME I am exposed, I go on meds, or else ruin sheets with three week long oozing. I stockpile Prednisone. I have, therefore, created a system to cleanse myself of the resin as I hike or ride, and it usually works pretty well. I was recently doing some recon on some older trails, and I went through tons of oak, but I did not get any reaction. So I give this product a 4 star rating, as it seems like it did the job, but then, if it works, nothing happens, right? So nothing happened. I assume that it was because of the block, but I don't know for sure. Unlike Technu, it does not smell really wierd, and I think it even has SPF. I have added it to my voodoo ceremony against urushiol, and am optimistic... although I will not even consider ending my proven regimen of cleansing. Still be careful, but this does seem to provide a certain amount of protection. For those of you like me, remember to trust nothing, fully.

My husband and son are highly allergic to poision ivy and so I purchased this for them. We recently went on a hiking vacation in TN and poision ivy was everwhere! They both used the block and for the first time, got to enjoy the outdoors without getting the outbreak from the poision ivy. I would HIGHLY recommend this product. I am planning on buying them more for stocking stuffers for Christmas!

Let's just say, I used this product and my husband didn't. We both pulled poison ivy all morning. I did not get any rash, he did in about four different places, the most annoying was his eyelid....use the product.

I am somewhat sensitive to PI and poison oak -if I brush up against it I will get a rash, but I don't think I've gotten a rash from indirect contact with it. I am also an avid trail runner.

Last year I borrowed some Ivy Block from a friend before setting out on a trail run, and covered myself with the stuff. I had a pretty horrid accident where I tripped on a tree root, fell off a small cliff, and went rolling down a poison ivy-covered embankment. I was pretty messed up: twisted my knee, got some lovely bruises, and got a horrendous gouge taken out of my forearm. But I did not have a single speck of PI rash.

I now go through this stuff like I go through sunblock. Haven't gotten PI since.

I'm extremely allergic, and was excited about this product. I followed the directions on the lable, and applied it 15 min bf I went outside. I put it on with the intent of getting rid of the poison ivy in my yard. Once I started working I noticed that where I applied the lotion on my arms, it started to get warm and burn a little, after about 30 min. of working, the sensation was worrisome. I washed it off and the next day had a light poison ivy rash. It wasn't nearly as bad as it has been in the past, so it does work some, but not completely when in direct contact, and for me, not without some side effect.

Medline Gauze Sponges, 4-Ply, Nonsterile, 200 Sponges/Box

Medline Caring Non-Woven Gauze Sponges - Non-Sterile, Bulk - 2'x2', 4-ply - Qty of 200When we had our newborns, the hospital used nonsterile gauze instead of baby wipes, along with water. This was less irritating than baby wipes, and also much, much cheaper.

But when we left the hospital, we couldn't find these in the store anywhere. I purchased a few different gauzes from Amazon, before I finally figured out that we needed the "nonwoven" type.

These 4x4 nonwoven nonsterile packages are perfect for wiping baby's bottom! Soft and absorbent. We found the medline brand to be slightly softer than the dynarex(sp?) brand.

EDIT JANUARY 2013

For some reason, amazon switched this listing to the 200/box rather than 2000/case! At $8/box, these are not a good deal!

Search for the 2000/case for only $30!!!Medline Caring Non-Woven Gauze Sponges-4 inch x 4 inch, 4-ply, Non-Sterile, Bulk,2000/Case

Great stuff! Just like the hospital. My daughter had diaper rash after we switched to chemical-laden wipes, as soon as we came back to gauze and water, the rash was gone. These are a great value for the quantity. We use no more than 2 per diaper change, so they last forever (two to wash off the stuff, one to dry the butt, and then re-use the one we dried with the next time). Highly recommend.

These work very well for newborns and infants with sensitive skin. They are very close in texture and consistency to the non-sterile gauze pads that were used in the hospital. The price is very reasonable (especially compared to diaper wipes).

When my newborns were at the hospital, they told us they use gauzes and warm water and not baby wipes. They recommended we do the same when home so we had a hard time finding something equivalent. This is very close to what the hospital uses, just a bit thinner. These are great for newborn baby wipes and other general uses.

First Aid Sterile Eye Pads, Oval 50 Per Box

First Aid Sterile Eye Pads, Oval 50 Per BoxThese sterile eye pads were purchased as a pressure dressing for cuts and wounds on a patient that has a bleeding disorder. Many of the other dressing materials available are to large or do not provide enough absorption to control the bleeding. Upon trial and error, the size of these eye pads are perfect for small cuts that require a pressure dressing. Would recommend these for anyone who has a bleeding disorder and requires sterile dressing material to cover the wounds.

I think these bandages are exactly what I wanted and would recommend them to anyone jlooking for a similar product.

I could not find this product in my local big box or pharmacy stores. The most they had available was a pack of 2 and they cost a buck a piece. This quantity and price fit the bill. Thanks Amazon. I had a detached retina and needed to change pads 4 times a day for 2 months. I would have gone broke.

Vetrap - individual roll

Vetrap - individual roll
  • Self Adherent Bandage, does not stick to skin or hair
  • great for over a primary dressing, great for pets
  • Used for a sports wrap, finger protection
  • Always good to have on hand

Vet wrap is like the health version of duct tape. You can secure gauze or a bandage in any position over a wound in an emergency. Secure a splint. Hold an ice back in place. Tape a compression bandage in place.

Protection: wrap hands before doing repetitive work like raking, hoing, shoveling, under gloves to prevent blisters. Or just wrap the handle itself, though it gets dirty quickly. Lightly wrap elbows, knees, wrists to protect against friction or mistimed tool handling.

Oh, yeah, you can use it with pets, too! :D Bandaged wounds on limbs, toes, if vet says it's okay: wrap lightly then slather with an ointment like with Tea Tree Oil and/or pine type linament. Good for wounds, nasty tasting but not at all toxic. Keeps your pet from messing with it.

I use this currently on my 18 YEAR old Border Collie mix who gets around extremely well except inside on our polished tile and hardwoods. Her rear end got very weak, and so I lightly taped her back feet bootie style.

Maggie is back to normal and presents her paws for taping, though she hated it at first. It's very popular among sport dog enthusiasts for the same reason, providing traction on slick surfaces.

Tips. This tape is NOT supportive. It is light, flexible, rubbery, and adhesive. It will not help your sprained ankle alone. It can, however, help keep your ace bandage in place better than the little hooks.

It's easy to wrap too tight. Keep a finger underneath as you wrap. Dont worry, the slack will spring right out. Far better too loose and rewrap, than come back to cold and swollen body parts! Obviously this only applies to applications on live things.

Don't cut this stuff. It seems messy, but for the best hold, tear it. It doesn't tear nice and clean. It's okay. Wrap all those bits and parts around, don't be tempted to try to tuck it away. It will all just mush together in a magical mass of soft boingy fabric.

Get several. Put them in your household emergency supplies with your other essentials like duct tape, rope and waterproof matches you got those, right?). Plus one in your medicine cabinet and one in your car emergency kit, with the duct tape and zip ties. I won't ask. ;)

3M got this product right. It does exactly what it says, sticks to itself but not hair or hide. I have used it on a horse but 99.9% of what I buy stays in my household medicine cabinet to use on the kids and my husband. It holds bandages in place on any arm, finger, leg not matter the location. They do make a similar product that can be bought in the local pharmacy/drugstore for humans but it is much more expensive and it is only 2" wide and takes more to hold the nonstick gauze pad in place. Plus this comes in "cool" colors (not just the human "white") so at least my kids are willing to sport it long enough to actually get the wound to heal. My football playing sons also use it as "underwrap" when taping their ankles and wrist.

I have an 16yr old Border Collie mix that was having problems walking on the hardwood floors. I tried dog shoes but they sounded like a horse was running through the house so on a recommendation from my local petfood store I tried out this tape. Fairly easy to put on, my dog doesn't seem to mind (he danced a lot wearing the shoes) and effective in preventing slipping! Lasts a couple of days and is much cheaper than the $50 shoes.

What can I say...I already did a review on vetwrap...ALWAYS KEEP THIS STUFF AROUND! It is useful in more ways than just wound treatment. I have used it as tail wrap when trailering horses and as a rubber band when french brading the tail.

Although the price is right, I am somewhat disappointed that I did not receive the product that I assumed I would. Your advertisement shows a PDI Sting Relief product, but what I received was a Safetec Sting Relief product. I have not had to use the product at this time and therefore can not compare them. If you advertise a particular brand of a product, that's the brand you should ship to your customer.
