3 pack - CPR Shield Barrier Pocket Masks In KEYRING POUCH - 3 Pack

3 pack - CPR Shield Barrier Pocket Masks In KEYRING POUCH - 3 PackLess than a week after getting them in the mail, I had to use one to save a life in the parking lot of the supermarket. The unit is easy to carry and easy to use. The only downside of this unit is that it does not come with a pair of gloves, but that is an easy fix. Speaking as a firefighter and EMT-P, BUY THESE and you will not regret it.

I just order two more sets to give to friends and co-workers.

Perfect size to hang from a backpack or stash in a briefcase, so you will be more likely to carry it. The case has room for a pair of vinyl or nitrile gloves. The mask itself seems to be of serviceable quality -not as good as a rigid full-size cpr mask, but a lot more portable.

These are small enough for a pocket, keychain or small kit bag, and are reassuring to know they're there if you ever need them. They take virtually no room in a first-aid kit. I'd suggest removing the instructions and putting a pair of nitrile gloves in their place--it adds no bulk at all and is another barrier for the rescuer.

Exactly what I expected. I don't think it would fit very well in your pocket and in my opinion, would be too large to use with a keychain, but I only plan on keeping them in the glove compartments of our cars and in my purse.

Brave Soldier Antiseptic Healing Ointment

Brave Soldier Antiseptic Healing OintmentI've been using this on every kind of scrape, rash, chaffing, skin abrasion, and small cut I've had since I bought it. I put it on when I cut myself shaving or where my Spring allergies have caused me to rub a spot near my eye raw.

In addition to healing and protecting--both of which it does better than bacitracin or neosporin on all but deep cuts--it's also quite pleasant. It's not greasy, nor so thin in consistency that it just comes right off if you don't put a band-aid over it. Petroleum jelly by comparison seems to add its own bit of irritation that this does not; and this provides some bit of pain relief as well for those knicks, bug bites, and rashes that sting or itch. Add that it smells nice.

BOTTOM LINE: On minor knicks, I just put a bit of this ointment on and I'm good to go. On chaffing, it provides quick relief and healing--though better to go with Brave Soldier Friction Zone Skin Protectantover the long term.

Stick a tube of this in your backpack for a hike, bike, or camping trip--it will come in extremely handy when you just need a bit of relief from a minor irritation that's not really worth the full first-aid treatment.

Great stuff.

Since discovering this ointment, I find that this is something I cannot live without. What is does for every type of boo-boo is nothing short of miraculous. The speed of healing is unbelievable. I've used many antiseptic ointments over the years, and Brave Soldier is far superior to anything else on the market. My adult daughter feels the same way. She has used this product not only on herself, but on her dog. The speed with which Brave Soldier healed some very nasty dog owies was remarkable. I highly recommend this product.

I've been using the Brave Soldier Antiseptic Healing Ointment for years, and it is amazing, as advertised. It's great for kids because the pain disappears instantly. A one ounce tube of this lasts me for years. If you have kids, or if you are just very active and occasionally injure yourself, you must carry this around at all times.

I don't usually take the time to write reviews but I was compelled to do so... This product is amazing. I fell & scraped my nose (think cheese grater), knee, & hand. The first 24 hours the wound on my face got cleaned & dressed with whatever I had a home. It got infected, parts of it dried/scabbed & it was painful & red. Day two I did some research & found this product & ordered it. I received it day 3 & by day five, what was a nasty looking, scraped up nose looked like nothing more than a sunburn. I just followed the directions... Cleaned the wound ( with just water) & applied the ointment aprox 3 times daily & kept the wound covered with sterile bandages. It is amazing to see the healing in just 3 days of using it. My friends think I was overreacting until I show them photographs. I think this should be in everyone's home!

Got in a bad car accident and had 2nd degree burn marks from the seatbelt. Tried a few things to soothe them, keep it moist, but everything failed and they were very uncomfortable. This ointment was a Godsend!

Medifirst Ibuprofen Pain Tablets Compare to Advil (100 ct)

Medifirst Ibuprofen Pain Tablets Compare to AdvilI like the individual packages. The wrapper is easy to open so it doesn't give you a headache trying to open it. I like that you can pt them anywhere. Purse, car, camping equipment and desk drawer.

Ibuprofen is a good over the counter analgesic (pain reliever) that works on mild to moderate pain. Ibuprofen is the generic drug name, and is the active ingredient in Advil and Motrin.

It comes in 200 milligam tablets/capsules. For most mild aches, it can be quite effective. Not only does Ibuprofen relieve pain, but it also is a real good anti-inflammatory medication (it lessens swelling). Thus it is also good for arthritis pain, any joint or muscle sprains or strains, and real good for toothache pain too.

If two tablets are taken, it is equivalent to the previously by prescription only product, "Motrin". Two tablets, or 400 mg of Ibuprofen is for mild to moderate pain. Three tablets, 600 mg, is for moderate to moderately severe pain. All three doses, 200, 400, and 600 mg can be taken every 4 hours as needed for pain. Four tablets is the highest prescribed dose (800 mg), and should only be taken once every 6 hours. Reserve the four tablet dosaging for your really severe pain. The 800mg dose is equivalent to Tylenol #3 (anetaminophen with codiene), another good pain reliever.

Ibuprofen can cause stomach upset and mild stomach bleeding, therefore, always take it with a large cup of water and to minimize gastric upset, eat something with it, like some yogurt, some applesauce, a piece of toast, etc. The extra food will help protect your gut.

LIke any medication, Ibuprofen should not be taken day after day for an extended period of time without a doctor's supervision. Ibuprofen in higher doses or low continuous doses can damage your liver and kidneys. If you are planning to use Ibuprofen for only a few days, you should be able to tolerate 2-3 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed (provided you are a generally healthy adult, are not allergic to Ibuprofen, have no existing liver or kidney disease, and have no stomach ulcers or chronic gut condition like Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Chron's Disease.

How you purchase Ibuprofen is up to you, but there are some real good generic Ibuprofen products that are less than half the cost of the "name brand" products (Advil, Motrin). Both the generic and the name brand are equal in terms of strength and effectiveness. The only thing different about the name brand is fancier packaging and perhaps easier to swallow dose forms.

I buy my Ibuprofen in the generic form; not only do I get it cheaper, I get more tablets too.

Single dose packets of analgesic for my various first aid kits. I don't get headaches that often, so mostly this kind of thing just sits around until it expires, but it is a handy size to fit in a first aid kit.

BP Medical gave really good customer service. They accidentally shipped me the wrong medicine I ordered. When I contacted them, they sent out the correct med AND let me keep the incorrect one that I didn't order saving me time not having to ship that one back. Recommend. Will use this company again. We like the individual meds for our first aid kits. Thanks.

Johnson & Johnson Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages, 1 x 3, 100 per Box

Johnson & Johnson Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages, 1 x 3, 100 per Boxgreat deal! great quality! My husband is a Carpenter and needs bandaids daily, actually several times daily. Even after wetting his hands and using plaster and other chemicals these bandaids still endure!

I really like these b/c they are 1 inch wide. It's not easy to find a box of just this size. I like the flexible fabric as well. I have used them for a long time.

Buy Johnson & Johnson Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages, 1 x 3, 100 per Box Now

Having a flex bandage for minor cuts is a very good idea. However, these bandages do not hold up to water at all. By the second time I washed my hands the bandage would no longer stick around my finger. The sink water made the adhesive completely inert and it just would not hold. After replacing several of these Band-Aid Brand Flexible Fabric Bandages I went and got a traditional plastic adhesive bandage. These are good for skin cuts along joints where you have a lot of movement but just don't get them wet.

Because Band-Aid's stuck on me!

The flexible fabric are comfortable and stay stuck even the corners (on a finger injury). The 1-inch wide covers that little bit a regular sized bandage can miss. The non-stick pad goes from edge to edge. I have two boys, 100 bandages don't last long.

I purchased these, because I have found that fabric bandaids are far superior to the plastic ones, that have hardly enough gause to cover the wound. These were available a very good price, for the quanity I purchased.

TRECK - Talon Rescue Emergency Clothing Knife & Seat Belt Cutter (Orange)

TRECK - Talon Rescue Emergency Clothing Knife & Seat Belt CutterI don't write reviews often, but this product deserves one. I own 2 of these, and they work so much faster then trauma shears. This thing just slices through pretty much any clothing. On their promotional videos, they show it cutting through firefighter turn outs in just seconds. the blade is serrated, so if something is a little tough you can use it like a saw and it'll cut right through. There in no risk of cutting a patient with this tool either. If you want something that will cut seat belts, and clothing with ease and not risk cutting your patient then this is the took for you. I am an EMT, and volunteer firefighter, and love this tool...

Important that it is bright colored. I haven't put it to the task but my life may depend on it because it is mounted in plain sight on my rock buggy.

Buy TRECK - Talon Rescue Emergency Clothing Knife & Seat Belt Cutter (Orange) Now

The Treck does the job in most cases but there's a learning curve. You have to develop the technique to get the cut started through layers of clothing, or heavy seam binding, etc. Once the cut is started, it's twice as fast as scissors and saves on the repetitive hand motion required by scissors.

The size of the handle is a bit of an issue. It is about 1" too long to fit properly in a standard EMS/emergency services trouser cargo pocket, so it sticks out most of the time when carried.

10 Unit- 46 piece unitized ANSI kit- plastic case w/ gasket- 1 ea.

10 Unit- 46 piece unitized ANSI kit- plastic case w/ gasket- 1 ea.
  • Found in At Home > Emergency

I didn't know I'd be searching to the ends of the earth to find a little box that's OSHA compliant, i.e., containing all of the first aid kit components to meet the ANSI/ISEA Z308.1-2009 minimum standards. Several other first aid kits I browsed online left out some pieces such as the triangle bandage & substituted with an ACE bandage, or they lacked anti-biotic ointment, or contained other stuff not part of ANSI's minimum requirements such as bandage scissors, etc. This one contains the EXACT number of unitized pieces that are minimally required in a wall-mountable plastic case. The burn packs & anti-biotic ointment packs are good for about 3 years, so by purchasing this you shouldn't receive something old.

The reason why I deduct 1 star is because the case itself is kind of a joke. It's one huge piece of plastic & the so-called "hinges" are just where the plastic is really thin. Bend it enough times & I'm sure the hinges will break. The rubber gasket is fine, but because the case is a piece of junk I highly doubt it'll keep out water if it received a good soaking from a fire sprinkler or something.

I don't blame the product. I think the ANSI standard itself needs some revising to make sure that cases are better constructed. My home first aid kit box is much sturdier than this product. That's because I bought an empty box of my own choosing & filled it myself. I could tell the case for this product is junk just by looking at the pictures online, but I bought this for our office so that we would be better compliant with OSHA. So if your concern is to have what is minimally required for an office work environment so that OSHA doesn't get all in your face, then get this kit.

Addendum: The Emergency First Aid Guide booklet included, which covers everything from choking to strokes, doesn't have pictures. That's odd because I have a nearly identical book in my home kit WITH pictures. Again, I don't blame the product. In this case it's the American Red Cross who decided for some reason that pictures were not necessary.
