This is the first time I have used this product, so I did not know what to expect. I have used colloidal silver before and am a believer in it's anti-bacterial properties. I purchased some toothpaste in Japan that had silver in it and it really helped with a painful sensitive tooth. I read the other reviews on this salve and decided to give it a try even though it is somewhat expensive. I can say that I am glad I purchased it! It is great to keep around if you have kids. I have been using it on my daughters insect bites for the last week and it has really helped them to heal much faster. She has a bad habit of picking at the bites and the faster they heal the better. She recently got a large bite from perhaps a spider and it left a large red swollen and hard area that was oozing a clear liquid. I treated it immediately with the salve several times a day. It has been healing great. The first night a put a lot on the area and covered it with a bandage so she wouldn't scratch at it. The next morning it was greatly reduced.

The salve is very soothing and somewhat cooling. Some of the other reviewers said that it was good for sunburn and I can see why. It absorbs in to the skin relatively fast and doesn't leave any kind of residue. It is very clean and refreshing. It has a kind of yellow to gold color and is the consistency of perhaps a jar of jelly that has been stirred up well with a spoon. The 2 oz size would be the size I would recommend as we have about gone thru a jar in a month of nightly applications. I have some mosquito bites on my legs that I have been putting it on nightly and it does reduce the itching as well as speed the healing. My daughter loves getting it put on her bug bites every night and I can see why as I like putting it on mine too. It's a great product!

This 2 oz size is a bargain. Our local whole foods market sells it for $15 and it's only filled with 1 oz even thought the jar is almost the same size as this one on Amazon!

I have a new kitten who loves to play. That means biting and scratching! Prestige Medical Analog Stethoscope Watch with Medical Symbols

It's a little tight to put on a Littman stethoscope, and I could do without the cartoons, but it does the trick. Short of losing or having my stethoscope stolen (again), I always have a watch. The biggest problem I have with it is that it really adds to the complexity of disinfecting my stethoscope, which would be easier if I could slip it off without disconnecting the tubing.

This was a fabulous buy! I love it, and so do my co-workers. It was a little loose on both my stethoscopes, but I put a little colored tape on it it fits fine, and I can switch it from what ever stethoscope I want to use for the day! Very cute, and easy to read.

I think the idea is good but for my stethoscope it did not fit properly and has the tendency to swivel which is not very helpful if you don't have an extra hand. I can also hear ticking faintly which distracts me from the patients heartbeat or breath sounds.

Bucky Shades Fun Faux Fur Sleep Mask With Earplugs

Unless you have to have something slick, shiny, light weight and cold over your eyes, this is an excellent sleep mask. The foam at the bottom allows you to open your eyes if need be, and it blocks out all of the light if worn properly. The band is a little heavier than needed, IMHO, so if you are someone that has to have the feel of "nothing at all", then you might want to choose a lighter weight mask.

Best sleep eye mask I've found --and I've purchased and tried out quite a few! Soft material with a soft velcro strap. There is a roll of soft fabric that lines the bottom of the mask. This roll lies on the bottom of your eye socket or your lower sinuses when the mask is on -applying a gentle pressure that I like a lot.

I love the little pocket on the outside of the mask up at the top. This pocket can hold four to six ear plugs and is so well designed that they won't come out when you move around or drop it in between the seats or on the floor of a plane.

I don't recommend, however, putting it in the microwave. Sometimes I like my eye masks warm, but when I did it with this one, it didn't fare so well --the pocket area got a little crispy.

But I still give this eye mask 5 stars.

We have owned many varieties of eye masks for sleep including the pink princess satin( uggh) and the tiger print skinny ones but nothing does the job of totally blocking out light except these. The little extra fabric roll across the length of the bottom helps when the mask slips during sleep. The only drawback is they are thick plush fabric and can get a little sweaty at times.I have had no problems washing these but watch out the velcro doesn't catch on other things in the wash.

There are so many Band-aid varieties that it is impossible to keep track of them all. They need to develop a simple system for coding their boxes and product names to be more memorable.

The distinguishing feature of this variety is that it is primarily made of foam. Instead of the adhesive being a thin piece of plastic or fabric, it is a fairly thick-feeling piece of plastic foam. The problem is this: it doesn't stay on!

One might think that a more padded foam-type strip would be good for foot blisters. But it isn't, because within minutes the shoe or sock will grab into the foam and pull it loose. It's probably worse than nothing in such a situation, because you may not know for sure, but the crumpled up bandage itself will aggravate the injury. It might work OK on a purely exposed wound (like a bare elbow), but not in any circumstance where it contacts clothing or anything else that might rub it.

Recommendation: avoid "sport" and "foam" in any Band-aid product unless you have had a chance to try it in advance. Look for "fabric" instead. Good luck!

If you don't need cartoons on your band-aids, get these. These are great, and don't have the propensity to fall off like normal bandages. This makes them especially useful for cuts on your hands/fingers, as they can handle a little water and friction/movement. They are great other places, too.

First of all, let me say that whenever I tried a brand other than "Band-aid" I was disappointed. That said, I believe this particular style is the best I have found. When I was having a lot of trouble with eczema on my right hand, I needed to wear band-aids on two of my fingers, to protect them so they would heal. All the other bandaids either had fabric that began to unravel almost immediately or the cushion area was too small or the length of the bandaid was too short. This one is just right. The whole bandaid is 2 7/8 inches long. The cushion part is a quilted 1 inch by 1 inch square and has a nice thickness to it. Also, the actual fabric of the bandaid is a sort of rubber-plastic, so it does not unravel and it stays on pretty well. It is water resistant. Buy this one for your general use. You will probably save money in the long run.

This grooming kit is easy to travel with, and convenient since everything is kept is kept in the clear hard plastic case. The nail clippers, emery boards, and hair brush work really well. The nasal aspirator is decent, but the one we received free from the hospital works better. The thermometer is really cheap and never worked, but that didn't bother me much since we already had a different ear thermometerBraun IRT 4020 ThermoScan Ear Thermometer. We haven't used the medicine spoon, dropper, or swabs but I'm glad we have them on hand and accessible. This kit is less expensive than other kits, and overall I've been happy with it.

This is just another "kit" with very useless things in it. Honestly I only wanted the nail clippers and the brush/comb. I should have gone with a cuter set for a girl. I used the medication syringe for a med for my 4yo and it didn't even hold the medicine, it leaked out all over the place (no suction like a syringe should have). As a pediatric nurse I'd prefer a higher quality medication administration kit. Also the bulb syringe in this kit is small and won't be very useful. Use the one from the hospital if you deliver in one (we're having a homebirth and I ordered a hospital grade bulb syringe instead). This kit was a waste of money, in my opinion.

Nasal aspirator (which is amazing), nail clippers and brush... that's the only items that worked. At the middle of the night, my 3m-old baby had a fever.. thermometer never worked, I had to use the family's one. After confirming fever and a quick call to the nurse, had to give him some medicine... but using the syringe was a NIGHTMARE and a big mess with medicine leaking all over the baby and all over my hands!! WE ended up using a spoon (not the one in the kit, which shows ml by halves like 1 1/2, 2 1/2, 3 1/2 and so on.. and didn't want to guess where the 2ml mark was) I had to buy health care items separately. It was a little more expensive than the kit, but now I'm sure everything in the health care box works!
