this product met my needs .. I did not like the clips.

I would recommend the bandage but suggest using tape to hold bandage in place to avoid getting nicked by the clips.

The most annoying thing about these bandages is that the clip can fall of if you brush up against something. I suppose that's why people are liking the Velcro versions. However, I've always found that the elastic in these has the most longevity.

My daughter had some issues with wounds on her legs that just would NOT heal. We tried dozens of over the counter products from local drug stores, then went online to see what else was available since none of those helped. The other products would work a little, and then they would stop, and it would come back even stronger. I found this listing, looked at the web page, and researched online for customer reviews. I then emailed the company for information. The owner immediately replied to my questions AND went out of her way to provide additional suggestions and ideas on other things we could try that might help as well based on her personal experience. I'm now 87, soon to be 88 years old. A few months ago somehow I got a terrible infection on my elbow and, at the same time, a horrible infection on the lobe of my ear. The following is the review I posted of Polyactil; I have been successfully using both!

I have a cyst that drained a while ago, and kept partially healing before becoming raw again despite medical intervention and extreme care. Having very sensitive skin but a very high pain tolerance makes trying new products into an extreme sport: is it going to burn, scar, inflame, hyper-pigment, etc? I never know! I was reading the reviews for both polyactil and petroactil, and I decided I wanted to give it a try. But I didn't want to commit to full tubes incase I would have an adverse reaction, so I wrote to the supplier/seller and inquired about samples (it never hurts to ask!). They responded in less than 12 hours, asked detailed questions and followed up with me and their on staff physician several times before sending samples of BOTH with a tracking number and everything!! I am beyond impressed with the customer service alone!!! They even sent me a full tube of the new formula of polyactil about a week later because I was having mixed results. Their email communication is great and they genuinely care about their customers they are truly of a rare breed of good people! I also work in healthcare, and this is the type of care that I also strive to provide, so its great to know that there are others in healthcare who are also still in the business for the right reasons.

Now, to the products: Both polyactil and petroactil are similar, with petroactil being the gentler version of the product; however, both can be used together for great results, especially on raw or sensitive areas where I was instructed to apply petroactil first followed by the polyactil so that the polyactil could slowly diffuse through and thus not sting as much. I actually didn't find either product to burn or sting despite being on a raw wound, and this is regardless of my pain tolerance. The products are of a gel like consistency, with petroactil being more viscous due to the petroleum base (I think, don't quote me, though!). Both are easy to apply and I did not find them to stain my clothing in anyway. The product has great staying power as well and I really appreciate that I don't have to reapply too often, the recommended twice a day is perfect. It takes a little extra effort to wash of hands, which goes to show its staying power I am sure the same is true if it does end up on clothing. The ingredients are pure and I haven't had any adverse affects. It's been about a 2 weeks with the samples, and 1 week with the new formula. I had "mixed results" as I mentioned earlier on only one of my two test areas, and the area that reacted was actually on a "tougher area" of skin. I actually re-tested a similar area, and then the same spot again after the initial reaction went away, and I am pretty sure it was a fluke or perhaps a reaction to something else. The actually wound I have been using it on has been healing quite nicely, and WITHOUT any hyperpigmentation which is always a concern for my sensitive, olive skin tone. The new skin is soft and beautiful and I am already sure there won't be a scar in fact, any old the old scar tissue and hyperpigmentation is slowly fading!

I will be stocking up after this holiday week because I already know that I don't want to be without this! The emails and instructions both state I can even use this on my face. I am looking forward to finding more uses for both petroactil and polyactil.

Bulb Syringe Aspirator

So relieved to find this product. Our aspirator the hospital gave us split at the seam and no longer worked, and we couldn't find one that worked as well anywhere else. Looked in every store and pharmacy in the area, and online usually just the same is sold as in stores. This one has amazing suction and has been a total lifesaver. It's actually even slightly better than the one we had from the hospital, I think because the bulb is a little bigger it has more suction. Can't say enough good things about it, especially in light of how horrible the ones in stores are. I am so glad we ordered 2 one for the diaper bag and one for home.

I am editing this review about a year after the original review which follows the "Original Review" header below.

I use this syringe several times a day to spray (not as a suctioning mechanism), and the two other brands of syringe I had before this one both came apart at the seam within a couple of months. So I was assuming that that's the way it was going to go. But the first instance of this brand of syringe that I have been using lasted over a year. But based on this single bit of anecdotal evidence I'll keep buying this brand unless things change radically.

Also, it seems that my original conjecture, that this syringe might not separate as quickly as the other brands because it has a slightly larger aperture, may have been correct.

Original Comments:

There is more than one version of this type of bulb syringe on Amazon. They all look pretty much the same, so one problem is that, at least on the ones I've seen, there is no identification code or text on the syringe itself that would allow you to differentiate between versions. This particular one has a 2 oz. capacity (although I don't see it documented anywhere on the website or it's links). Also, this syringe is sterile, so it comes in a plastic enclosure which documents the manufacturer as AMSINO and the product name as AMSure.

Generally, when they mention it, all the reviewers agree that it was exactly, or almost exactly, like the one they were given at the hospital. But they sometimes complain that the suction capability of the syringe is not the same as the one they had seen before. And they complain that the syringe separates along the "equator" seam between the top part and the bottom part where the two are fused together.

First, all the versions are going to separate eventually. I don't know which versions are better fused but I suspect that the warmer the liquid that the syringe is exposed to, the faster it will separate. The glop they use to make the fusion isn't documented of course, so it's a crap shoot.

On the issue of suction power here is my take: One important difference between versions is the size of the opening at the tip. That size is not documented in the specs either. This one has a larger opening than others I've seen and that causes the suction strength (or the spray strength if that's how it's being used) to be lower than that on versions with smaller apertures. Also, if you are spraying, the smaller aperture on other versions will cause you to have to squeeze harder to get the liquid out, and that pressure could well result in the seam separating faster in those other versions.

This is the same bulb we got from the hospital when my daughter was born. I like it simply because it's very easy to squeeze. We've had other aspirators that are simply difficult to press, making sucking boogers out of your fussy child's tiny nose more of a chore than it already is. Wahl 79300-400 Color Pro 20 Piece Complete Haircutting Kit

I bought this today after reading reviews that it has a powerful motor. I usually get a #2 on the side, and #5 on top. I haven't had a haircut in 4 months, so my hair was a long and thick. This clipper cut right through it, no problems. Only bogged down twice.

This is the first time I cut my own hair. It turned out as good as the barber. This comes with good instructions, and links to Wahl's website with videos showing how to give different haircuts. It says to start with a thick guide. But, since I knew I always get #2 and #5, I did that, using #3 & 4 to blend the side and top. Turned out fine.

I usually pay $15 (including tip), but save money by delaying haircuts for 3-4. If this thing lasts 2-3 years, I'm going to save $120-$180. Plus, I'll cut my hair more often.

For the price, I'm impressed with the quality of the clipper. It's heavy and the motor feels powerful. The plastic case leaves a little to be desired. Everything's loose in it. And, I worry the plastic guides won't last long. But, for $20, it almost paid for itself with the first cut.

I'm usually leery of cheap products. I was going to spend $120-$150 for a professional-grade Oster Classic 76. But, since I've never cut my own hair before, I was worried about making that kind of investment. Based on the positive reviews, I gambled on this Wahl. I'm glad I did. The quality is definitely worth more than the $20 price. And, the instructional materials were valuable for a first-timer like me.

I was thinking when this breaks (after the experience I would have obtained at a low price) I might invest in a professional clipper. But, I don't know. If it lasts 2-3 years it's probably a better value to pay $20 for that length of use compared to a more expensive pro model requiring blade sharpening, replaced motor brushes, etc.

I bought this kit to replace a Wahl "Designer" which developed a problem after about 10 years of home haircutting and would have cost more to fix than this kit cost as a replacement.

The clipper is quiet and works well. It gives the impression of a lot of power in reserve, and doesn't heat up in the hand. I was pleasantly surprised by the left and right angled guide combs used for the ears, which are included in the kit. They made that part of the haircut really easy. After years of cutting my hair with only the straight guide combs that came with my old clippers, I didn't think I would use them, but I tried them once and I'm very happy I did. They're great, and if you bought them separately, they would go for about half the price of the kit, making the kit a bargain.

The clipper itself is intended for home use and feels like it, unlike my old one, which felt a bit more heavy-duty. But this one does as good a job of cutting my hair, and costs about half as much. If it lasts half as long as the old ones did, I'll be more than satisfied.

Editing to update after a little over four years (probably about 40 haircuts, although I haven't kept an actual count): The clipper is still going strong, without any problem.

I had no experience whatsoever with cutting hair, and I've found that it is really easy with these clippers. They come with a number of different attachments that makes the very easy to use without worrying about completely ruining my hair. They also have instructions which aid in learning how to cut, and a nice plastic cape so you don't get hair all over yourself.

I expected this trimmer to be a low quality option for quick haircuts. I've purchased various hair trimmers previously from different manufacturers, and they are always light plastic cheap devices that break within a few months, even under moderate use. Puny. Puny! It's like they weren't designed to handle a man's glorious mane.

The trimmer took one look and mowed them down with relaxed fury, literally cutting them down to size (eight available with this set, create your own style today!) in crisp, uniform lengths. I was so impressed that I went out and trimmed the lawn and some tree branches (which work best with the 3/4" attachment). Note: Product not authorized for landscaping work, I playfully made that up. Doublenote: OR WAS I? Because you certainly wouldn't know once you fire this baby up and watch it bring on the POWER.

I would caution using this without an attachment/guard on it, as you are liable to cut yourself if you press it directly. So do use some caution. If you're a wimp, that is. Not me though, but I feel the need to warn all the other wimps out there. You wimps, you.

You can also pair this up with different attachments from Wahl, including Wahl #12 clipper guide comb, 1&1/2. for longer style cuts. They snap right on without issue, useful for those wanting heftier styles. This does lend some useful versatility to the product, which I appreciate. You will appreciate it too.

The case gets the job done, but it does lack any kind of internal organization there's nothing to slot the attachments into, for example. Things will jumble around and get disorganized, but this is a minor complaint. There is enough room for another few attachments in addition to the included stock, as it is roomy enough to accommodate a few added accessories.

The cord could probably bit a tiny bit longer. Most things are better longer. Except for hair, which is why you are buying this thing in the first place.

In short: highly recommended. Manly recommended. Grab you one and unleash the wonderful mightiness. Hold it high above your newly clean-cut head and watch lighting bolts dance behind you as you part the heavens in your magnificence.

Clairol Nice 'N Easy Non-Permanent Hair Color 76 Light Golden Brown 1 Kit

I have NEVER EVER colored my hair before, but my grays were getting so terrible that I needed to try something. I do not have a full head of gray, but just enough that every time I pull my hair back in a ponytail, they are all that you see. Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Clear Spots, 50-Count

It's going to take me quite a while to use all 150 Band-Aids in the 3-pack, but I'll be ordering more as soon as I'm running low!

At only a few cents per Band-Aid, I feel totally alright putting them on EVERYTHING. Depending on your skin tone, these things can be practically invisible after you apply them. They have decent sticking power (though not as strong as the Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Flexible Fabric, 30 Count (Pack of 2)) and they're perfect for the most common sorts of minor injuries.

This is a useful size of Band-Aids for those small cuts and nicks that you need to cover for a few hours so you don't get blood on your clothes. I've had no luck finding the Band-Aid brand spot bandages in my local stores except as part of an assortment. All the drugstores seem to carry a store brand of spot bandages, but I've tried those and have experienced some redness and itching due to a mild allergy to the adhesive. My dermatologist told me this is very common and she recommended the Band-Aid brand. I always assumed that Band-Aid manufactured the store brands as well, but now I see a statement on this package -"The makers of Band-Aid brand do not manufacture store brand products." Well, so far this brand has worked for me with no skin irritation, so I'll stick with it. There is a warning though that this product contains natural rubber latex, so if you're avoiding latex be warned.

I was pleased to find the clear spots here on Amazon, at a good price and Prime-eligible. The 150 bandage supply will last us a year at least. If you're worried about buying in quantity, these boxes are small about the size of a deck of cards but a little thicker. Also, I checked the box and the bandage wrappers for expiration dates, wondering if the adhesive might weaken over time, but no mention of expiration.

For outdoor enthusiasts, it's always good to have at least some basic emergency medical supplies on hand. I've used products from Adventure Medical Kits in the past and think they are a great way to have a supply of bandages and assorted other items to handle routine cuts, scrapes, splinters, insect bites, blisters, headaches and other non-emergency room mishaps that can occur.

On a good day, you'll never have to use this kit but on a bad day you'll be so glad you have it with you. I've tried putting together my own kit over the years and it's always a bit frustrating to acquire a couple of these and a couple of those. It just ends up being a big mess. I prefer this kind of a kit since it is organized and provides a good assortment of what you really need to handle the basic mishaps. It's got a good, basic variety of adhesive bandages, gauze bandages, tweezers, mole-skin and some basic medication(aspirin, ibuprofen and anti-histamine.)

It's all contained in a waterproof bag which fits inside a compact zippered nylon carry case. This particular kit is rated for 1-2 persons for up to 4-days. This is certainly better than having nothing at all and should be a part of anyone's backpack.

Compared to adhesive bandages, I find that these stay put & protect better and come off clean. Protecting abrasions is often harder than a linear cut that can be covered by a conventional Band-Aid, due to the surface area and this bandage design is a good solution.

I really love this product. I'm not sure what the problem is with deet-containing products, but I always feel greasy when I use them and they irritate my eyes, nose and mouth. This doesn't happen with Natrapel. After it dries, you can barely tell you're wearing it, but it is very effective. When hiking with friends/family, I have seen ticks jump on them and immediately jump right off. I have a real phobia with ticks--especially because deer ticks have become so prevalent and I have several friends (and their pets) that have gotten chronic Lyme Disease infections from them. In our area of eastern and central PA there has been a huge increase in Lyme Disease over the last several years, which can cause havoc in your body. My family and I were camping last weekend and we all used Natrapel. None of us was bothered by mosquitos or ticks. One caveat is that you must use it on every part of your body. For example, if you use it on your body, but not on your face, the mosquitos will attack your fsce or any area on your body where you have not used it. Overall it is so superior to deet-containing products, that it's worth finding snd buyinng. At least in our area, it is difficult to find, but you can find it online and it's well worth the time and effort to find it and buy it, even if you have to pay extra for the shipping. A little goes a long way and it's a comfort knowing that it's all natural AND effective.

Very little to no scent and fabulous at keeping the bugs away. The best mosquito product I've ever used!!!!

I like this repellent. It seems to work as good as DEET most of the time. The reason I say most of the time is sometimes the bugs are so bad that only 100% DEET works, or run for your life. It seems Natrapel is more effective on blackflies and midges than DEET. I did have to re-apply more often than 8 hrs though, maybe every 3-4 hrs I would re-apply as needed. Mostly from my knees down, my lower legs seem to get the most attention from the mosquitoes and flies, or it just "bugs" me the most down there.

The biggest selling point for me is IT DOES NOT RUIN GEAR LIKE DEET DOES. DEET melts nylons coats, tents, raingear etc. etc. etc. For me, this makes it a great value at twice the price. I also will not use 100% DEET, if the bugs are that bad I will use a head net and long sleeves and pants. When I do use DEET it is generally a 30% or less formula just put that in for a reference point for you to gauge by. When I am Backpacking in Montana, all I will use now is a DEET-free formula, it is too expensive to take the chance of ruining gear. I am now old and cheap and don't want to waste the money.

We went camping this past weekend and I had run out of my normal non deet bug spray. So, I went to my BX and looked to see if they had a non deet product. The only thing they had was this naturapel. Drive Medical Plastic Transfer Bench with 3 Position Backrest, Gray

We bought this transfer bench after my husband was in a bad accident and couldn't stand up. It is designed to straddle the side of the bathtub for sliding into the tub and ideally, to be used with a handheld shower. Two of the feet have suction cups. Those go inside the tub to give it stability. The bench legs adjust in height independently to compensate for the difference between the floor and the bottom of the tub and also for the slope inside the tub. You need to concentrate when assembling it because it can face either way so there are several variations in configurations that may seem right, but that won't work in your bathtub. It takes a little tweaking to get all that just right. You also need a really cheap, flimsy shower curtain, (think dollar store) that can be tucked into the little slot between the part of the bench that is inside the tub and the part that is outside. I chose one that had magnets in the bottom and was glad I had when we used it. The first couple of times my husband and I used it we had water all over me and the bathroom but we soon got the hang of it and it worked quite well.

I had a another one like this one (not as strong) but one of the suction cups fell off. Plus it wasn`t very strong it would move and creak like it was going to break when I was sitting on it. This transfer bench is alot stronger and I don`t worrie about it collasping under me. It fit`s perfect in the tub, I read one review saying it was to big, but he probally didn`t realise two of the legs of the bench stick out off the tub., that way you sit on the edge of the bench and slide into the tub. I would recomend it to everyone under 350 lbs. ( I weigh 245 lbs.) WORKS GREAT !!!

It is difficult to use it without water ending up all over the floor. Must be very careful with the position of the shower curtain. It makes it so easy to get into and out of the shower.
