Petroactil - Heal old wounds that have resisted healing. Heal deep or difficult to cure wounds. Pro

Petroactil - Heal old wounds that have resisted healing. Heal deep or difficult to cure wounds. Protect raw, sensitive, damaged skin. Keep bandages from sticking. My daughter had some issues with wounds on her legs that just would NOT heal. We tried dozens of over the counter products from local drug stores, then went online to see what else was available since none of those helped. The other products would work a little, and then they would stop, and it would come back even stronger. I found this listing, looked at the web page, and researched online for customer reviews. I then emailed the company for information. The owner immediately replied to my questions AND went out of her way to provide additional suggestions and ideas on other things we could try that might help as well based on her personal experience. Once I placed an order, she even went above and beyond, stopping at the post office at the airport between trips so I would get the product sooner once ordered, instead of just saying out of office until the later date like most companies would.

This is the only product that has had a truly positive effect. It helped heal my daughter's legs and we are still using on her feet, as they are more stubborn since they have to be covered each day for school. Occassionally she falls asleep before application and there is a NOTICEABLE difference in mornings when we used versus did not use. We were already 6-months into the ordeal when I found this product, so can't speak to the scar prevention, but worked wonders on the wounds. I don't know how it works, but it definitely makes a difference. And, it is so refreshing to see such a concerned and personable company in today's world of profit first industries.

I'm now 87, soon to be 88 years old. A few months ago somehow I got a terrible infection on my elbow and, at the same time, a horrible infection on the lobe of my ear. My ear looked like it had a small strawberry grafted on it and I was very scared. My doctor gave me a shot and a prescription ointment, which we used as directed; but neither infection was responding and we were planning for the worst. As if things weren't bad enough, I was lying around a lot because I felt so poorly and I got a bedsore on one hip (due to a bad lung, I can only lay on one side). It was a big purple area with a sore in the middle and it felt like someone was poking me with a pin all the time. My daughter brought me a tube each of Petroactil and Polyactil. The infections just got better and better and went away. My bedsore regained normal color and quit hurting within a few days and then the middle just got OK. Since I always lay on that side of my body, it has come back a couple of times, but I now start using Polyactil at first sign of the bedsore and fix it before it really starts. ThePolyactil also makes the arthritis in my fingers feel better. Aging is a tough adventure and we find ourselves using the Polyactil and Petroactil for all sorts of issues now. V. Phillips

I have had issues with foot ulcers all my life, due to radiation treatments that I received at age 6 months for a tumor on my foot. I am now 54. I have experimented with many, many products. I have had some success recently with petroactil and polyactil. These products have initiated a healing response in an ulcer that is about 6 months old. I have had a very significant decrease in pain and I am going to continue to keep this product on hand.

The following is the review I posted of Polyactil; I have been successfully using both!

I have a cyst that drained a while ago, and kept partially healing before becoming raw again despite medical intervention and extreme care. Having very sensitive skin but a very high pain tolerance makes trying new products into an extreme sport: is it going to burn, scar, inflame, hyper-pigment, etc? I never know! I was reading the reviews for both polyactil and petroactil, and I decided I wanted to give it a try. But I didn't want to commit to full tubes incase I would have an adverse reaction, so I wrote to the supplier/seller and inquired about samples (it never hurts to ask!). They responded in less than 12 hours, asked detailed questions and followed up with me and their on staff physician several times before sending samples of BOTH with a tracking number and everything!! I am beyond impressed with the customer service alone!!! They even sent me a full tube of the new formula of polyactil about a week later because I was having mixed results. Their email communication is great and they genuinely care about their customers they are truly of a rare breed of good people! I also work in healthcare, and this is the type of care that I also strive to provide, so its great to know that there are others in healthcare who are also still in the business for the right reasons.

Now, to the products: Both polyactil and petroactil are similar, with petroactil being the gentler version of the product; however, both can be used together for great results, especially on raw or sensitive areas where I was instructed to apply petroactil first followed by the polyactil so that the polyactil could slowly diffuse through and thus not sting as much. I actually didn't find either product to burn or sting despite being on a raw wound, and this is regardless of my pain tolerance. The products are of a gel like consistency, with petroactil being more viscous due to the petroleum base (I think, don't quote me, though!). Both are easy to apply and I did not find them to stain my clothing in anyway. The product has great staying power as well and I really appreciate that I don't have to reapply too often, the recommended twice a day is perfect. It takes a little extra effort to wash of hands, which goes to show its staying power I am sure the same is true if it does end up on clothing. The ingredients are pure and I haven't had any adverse affects. It's been about a 2 weeks with the samples, and 1 week with the new formula. I had "mixed results" as I mentioned earlier on only one of my two test areas, and the area that reacted was actually on a "tougher area" of skin. I actually re-tested a similar area, and then the same spot again after the initial reaction went away, and I am pretty sure it was a fluke or perhaps a reaction to something else. The actually wound I have been using it on has been healing quite nicely, and WITHOUT any hyperpigmentation which is always a concern for my sensitive, olive skin tone. The new skin is soft and beautiful and I am already sure there won't be a scar in fact, any old the old scar tissue and hyperpigmentation is slowly fading!

I will be stocking up after this holiday week because I already know that I don't want to be without this! The emails and instructions both state I can even use this on my face. I am looking forward to finding more uses for both petroactil and polyactil.

Please feel free to ask me questions if you too have sensitive skin I literally read all of the reviews for both petroactil and polyactil before trying the products. I am an Amazon junkie, so I check my reviews often. I hope this helps anyone else with a slow healing wound, acne, or other skin issues!

I have very bad cracks on my hands and fingertips that won't go away. They are very painful. I've tried everything I could think of, including prescriptions. Nothing has helped. I saw this on Amazon and thought I would give it a try. So far it seems to be helping. The cracks are getting better. I've already bought 2 tubes and plan to buy more when I need it. Thanks for helping my very painful condition!

Budpak First Aid Cream Anti-Bacterial 1 Oz / 28 G (Pack of 4)

Budpak First Aid Cream Anti-Bacterial 1 Oz / 28 GFor me, Neosporin agravates a wound and makes it worse. It seems I'm allergic to it. This is helpful because I frequently need wound care and this works with no adverse reaction.

The heading says it for me. This product really does aid in fighting minor skin irritations better than nay I have used previously

Special Pack of 5 SCHERING-PLOUGH NO POST CUSHION GRIP ADHESIVE 1 oz

Special Pack of 5 SCHERING-PLOUGH NO POST CUSHION GRIP ADHESIVE 1 ozI had full extractions and began wearing upper and lower dentures 6 months ago at the age of 47. I am sure all denture wearers know what a humbling experience this can be at any age and I was no exception, it was hard. After the initial healing period, bone loss and gum shrinkage occurred rapidly. My soft re-lines by the dentist held up two weeks, max. After reading all the great reviews, I purchased Cushion Grip from Amazon early on in my denture experience and it has been if not a life saver for me, a definite 'pride saver' as I cannot see the dentist twice a month. I have found it very easy to use and had no problems even the first time I used it. In addition to closely following the package directions, I recommend having a blow dryer handy until you become accustomed to the application. The tube must be warmed in a cup of hot water before squeezing the substance out at which time in comes out with ease in one piece. Before I became skilled enough to make the application quickly, sometimes it would cool down faster than I could shape the pliable rubber-like substance into my denture. That's where the blow dryer comes in. If it cools down and loses its pliability before you've finished shaping it into your denture, a warm blow dryer over the denture for a few seconds will soften it back up. Because I've had practice, I rarely have to do that any longer; I am able to properly apply and shape the substance to my denture in a matter of seconds. The outcome is much like a reline from the dentist. Given the speed by which my gums have shrunk, Cushion Grip has represented the most convenient and economical solution for me.

Pros: Very fast temporary reline once you get used to it. The box states that it lasts up to four days, but a single application has lasted up to two weeks for me. Prevents the friction and gum soreness from loose fitting dentures. Affordable. Dependable. Easy to remove in one piece (run cold water over your plate for easy removal or grip).

Cons: The grip does burn the gums for the first 2 or 3 minutes, but this was less intense for me over time. I does not serve as an 'adhesive' for me on my lower dentures as the tube suggests. I still need to apply an adhesive. If you do choose to leave the reline in more than a few days, you may start to notice sharp edges because the product becomes harder. I use this as my signal to remove the old Cushion Grip and apply new.

I know the use of Cushion Grip has prevented some embarrassing moments for me as a newbie to dentures. I would give it 5 stars if it did not claim to be an 'adhesive.' It is definitely more of a fast, convenient, temporary reline but I would not count on it alone to keep my lowers secure.

After getting upper dentures near three months ago my gums had two very sore spots. If your reading you know what its like. Can not enjoy food when the denture slips, it hurts. After 3 or 4 trips to my dentist it was better but still sore especially when they tilt or slip. I knew I had to take charge & find something that worked.I bought a reline kit but have not used it. I also bought the gooey adhesives that's a pain to remove, we've all been there.

Along come Cushion Grip & after reading reviews I was real sure my search was over. First of all it is NOT an adhesive, if that's what you really want look elsewhere. It is a very thick thermoplastic gel. I say gel but its barely liquid. In reality that is what you want. Something that is pliable, can be spread inside your dentures yet soft enough to conform to your gums. It did that far better than than the impressions my dentist made.

I said its NOT an adhesive but it conforms so well adhesive is not necessary. It conforms near to an exact fit & after biting down its a vacuum like a suction cup. That is what it does it creates a vacuum. It does not let air in so your dentures stay in place. My dentures were pretty loose, now the problem is gone.

I heat water on the stove, not boiling & leave the tube in for 5+ minutes. Meanwhile I use tooth paste & brush my dentures, making sure they are clean & dry. Then spread the gel & let it sit for at least ten minutes. You may not spread it quite right but you'll learn.

I said 10 minutes because it needs time to cure. I think some feel a burning sensation because they do not let it cure long enough. If you use a lot, let it cure longer. In my case a tube will do my uppers 4 times. So once cured put it in & push back & up, then bite firmly for about 15 seconds. It takes a little effort to remove them. If you did it right, cure time etc your dentures will fit tight & hold. If you did not allow enough cure time the thermoplastic might stick to you gums. That happened to me first time so a little more cure time & all was well.

If you've read this far be sure to read reviews similar to mine. This product works & works very well & it lasts a lot longer than stated by the mfg. Imagine that, how often does that happen? I got it from Pharmapacks well ahead of schedule.

Lanacane Anti-Bacterial First Aid Spray: 3.5 OZ

Lanacane Anti-Bacterial First Aid Spray: 3.5 OZGreat product! Purchased this for a trip that we have taken...worth your money Works great!! Does the job, a terrific product. AAAAAAAAAA++++++++

If you get a large abrasion or deep cut, I wouldn't use this. Otherwise it's excellent.

I recently removed a good half dollar sized area of skin on my knee in a fall (with long pants on). I tried the spray and the pain is unbearable for up to a minute until the benzocaine starts helping. If you can stand a lot of pain, it might be worth it to put it on abrasions as well.

I don't see why they had to use such a painful antiseptic.

The concept of this product is great. But if you're a size 6 and the booty comes in one size 7-9, it's a loose fit. There are air pockets and the silicone gets cold. I tried to accommodate this by fitting tube socks over the booties. But I was still miserable.

I did however, wake up with soft skin on my feet. I kept the booties, hoping I would be able to suffer through the experience again. They are not worth it to me and I would not recommend them over a good soaking of cream and white cotton socks.

Natural Styles 100% Pure Tamanu Oil 1 OzThought I must have read the description wrong after the 3 bottles I ordered showed up.

Item came with a different label and was not as pictured or promised.

When we feel a virus coming on we just put this in our ears til it stops fizzing. If you catch it right away, the extra oxygen in your blood will destroy viruses. You can also take it internally (just a few drops per glass of water).

This, along with Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda are my go-to compounds for nearly 75% of bodily maintenance. You can apply this stuff to acne or blemishes and it will clear them up. You can use it as a basic facial cleanser. You can use it to clean your ears. You can use it as a mouthwash or to kill bacteria deep inside teeth. If you have a bad toothache, try swishing half distilled water and have FGHP in your mouth for several minutes. The pain should dissipate immediately. I only wish I had known about FGHP before paying upwards of $2000 on a root canal. Now I have a dead tooth in my mouth which is western medicine's solution to a simple bacterial infection. I also know a few people who swallow a tsp of this stuff a couple times per week. Not condoning that but the point is, FGHP is the real deal.

This bag is the best I've seen. SUPER thick and durable. MUCH bigger than you would think! No first aid/trauma kit is gonna come with everything you want. It just doesn't seem to exist or it would cost so much that nobody would buy it. It takes at least $1000-$1500 to have a proper kit. IMO the key is to find a bag that will fit everything you will need but still be organized and manageable. Furthermore, and more important than anything, it needs to have super strong double zippers on every pocket and must be water proof. Has to have dividers and organizational features. This is the only case I have been able to make the "perfect" kit out of and it took a bunch of $$ to figure that out. I will include a list of my inventory with this review (excuse my funny descriptions, wife's Chinese and not familiar with our medicines so I had to put some simple descriptions). The bag has a bit of an old 80's feel to it for some reason. I only say that because my friends always call it the 80's lifeguard bag (I think it's the funny shade of orange they use, but the bag come in blue also). By the time I got it fully stocked, it weighed EXACTLY 26lbs which is very reasonable.

Bag arrived within a couple days of orderbigger than I expected and good quality. The bottom is reinforced and rubberized and the color of the bag is very neon, not classic ems orange. I agree with others that the zippers would probably not hold up to intense usage, but it's a great personal car bag. Side straps are a little short, but I don't think that would be a problem if you weren't stuffing the bag. The insert pockets are a little flimsy, thin fabric and less quality zippers and windows, but overall a great bag for the price.

It really is large enough to carry everything, some of which include both adult and child BVMs, OB kit, a large burn kit, my diagnostic tools, stethescope and blood pressure cuff, OPAs, NPAs, hot and cold packs, cervical collars, splints, every type of Trauma sponges and pads, including two large multi-trauma pads. I like how the bag comes with two pullout pouches, one of which I use for BSI (gloves, masks and hand sanitizer), the other I use for band aids, steri-strips, providone-iodine swabs and other disinfectants and antibiotics and other things which I find a lot of people ask for. The bag will also carry my non-rebreather, simple mask and nasal cannulas. And I even have room to put my PCR clip board in the top for convenient carry. I carry so much more to list, but basically, it will carry everything! The material is tough enough for daily use, maybe not the strongest, but what the heck. If I need to replace it after a couple years, $40 is not terribly expensive to get another one.

I purchased this bag to put in my vehicle to carry my medical supplies. It's roomy and holds a lot of items and I like that it came with 2 zippered clear plastic sided bags that are the size of a mens shaving bags that allows me to see what is inside. The top center flap has loops to hold misc items and it comes with Velcro fasteners to hold items secure. I have had a problem with one of the zippers and the shoulder strap snap holders could be of a better quality as they tend to bend some. But for the price it works for me.
