I have had an ileostomy for a number of years, requiring the use of sn ostomy appliance to collect the waste material from my body. An appliance must be emptied several times a 24 hour day and will need replacing from 4 to 6 days. After cleansing the area, Reliamed is used to deep clean the skin around the ostomy and help seal a new appliance in place on the body. If the area gets a little raw or sore, the Reliamed is a soothing, healing cleanser and dries as a smooth sticky surface which makes it very easy to seat and fasten a new appliance in place. I have found nothing else as satisfactory as the Reliamed Barrier wipes.

I'm very sensitive to some adhesives and find that these barrier wipes work wonders in avoiding nasty weepy rashes. I've tried others that act as equal protection, but are awfully sticky until they dry. For me these are a godsend.
