First Aid Blood Stopper Compress Multi-Purpose Wound and Trauma Dressing

Great little dressing, cheap, and my preference for home first aid kits or pre-hospital...but not for backcountry.

For home use nothing beats these. Easy to use, just cram one on a wound, two if it's big, wrap the ends and tie in place. Most first patch dressings are done dirty, just to stop the bleeding. These go right over clothes, go on without tape, go on one handed and will fit anywhere.)

Small size, soft packaging, good dressing and more versatile than a kerlix.

Not for backpacking though

But... unrolling it in the mud, dirt etc it's going to flop all over, little elastic means it's a s-rolled kerlix that needs reinforcement or ACE to pressure it, the lack of a water and snag proof outer cover means every twig and berry in the woods will be stuck to it in minutes.

If your not grizzly Adams and just want a good trauma dressing thats cheaper than and less complicated than a millitary dressing this is for you!

This is a good multipurpose bandage/dressing for a home or office first aid kit, and I know of some fellow EMT's who use it as well. Basically, it comes packaged as a rolled-up fabric material with a 5x9 non-adhering pad attached. The fabric works as either an absorbent dressing, or a bandage depending on what you need. This is nice because it makes it multi-purpose: for a serious bleed you can leave it rolled up and you have a ton of absorbent material; I'd wager that this product would soak up at least as much blood as a roll of standard gauze. This saves you from having to constantly slap on more 4x4 pads as they soak through, which is the traditional way. Alternatively, you can unroll it and you have a 5x9 pad for abrasions or burns, and you can then use the unrolled material to bandage or secure a splint.

For life-threatening bleeds, I'd still prefer that every kit have a CAT tourniquet and a couple packets of a hemostatic (QuickClot, etc). But those products are expensive, and realistically (and unfortunately) most homeowners and companies are not going to spend $100 on a first aid kit that they think they'll never use. This product, at about $2.50 apiece, is still a vast improvement over the "band-aids and aspirin" which you usually find in the typical pre-made kit, and which are downright useless for serious trauma.

All in all, it's a very good product which can potentially replace several others in a trauma bag or first aid kit.

I have been using the Ace Knitted Knee Brace for 20 years now. I have two family members with arthritic knees. They are elderly and I bought them extra large as their knees were swollen and they are not tiny people. I may as well have just thrown away my money. Ace's idea of Extra Large is a joke. I think it would fit a large, athletic male with good knees that just wanted some extra support, but no one with ailing, feverish, damaged joints are going to be able to get it on, much less find it an asset. There is absolutely no adjustment. The elastic pull is strong enough to impede circulation if it is too tight on the wearer and the guide given, to help someone know who would fit into "Extra Large" is just non existent. I wasted my money. If this item appeals to the buyer, I STRONGLY suggest going to see it in a Pharmacy before purchasing it on line.

This stuff is thick and very oily so be sure you using it sparingly.

I suggest only using it with disposable diapers and only in extreme cases. Too much will irritate the skin more because it won't dry effectively and it leave the baby's bottom slick and cause more harm than good.

Ever since I discovered this product, I couldn't imagine using another rash cream. Even my husband has been impressed with it. My 18 month old has extremely sensitive skin, so we put this on her every night to prevent rashes.

I cloth diaper and have only 2 nighttime diapers (Happy Hempys) so they get used A LOT of heavy use. Despite using this cream every night for months, it has not caused any repelling issues in the diapers. (I'm not sure if this helps, but I use Charlies. ARGAN OIL GLOSS & SHINE POLISHER By CREME OF NATURE Hair Polish

I purchased this product in the store. Initially, I bought it for myself because I needed something to help keep that salon shine in my hair. I decided to use it on my five year old's hair and I was overjoyed by how well it helped in not only providing a delicate shine to her hair but how it also eased the detangling process. It is better than Pink Oil because it is not heavy and it is light. A small, dime-sized dab goes a long way. I have been recommending this to my sisters for their children because we all have a history of "knotty" hair. Great for parents who do not want to relax their daughter's hair at such a young age. Creme of Nature has some great products!!

I got this because it has the 3 main things I use on my own that makes your hair shine. Dimethicone.. Honey... and Olive oil. All 3 things I bought on their own and use on my hair. Since all of them are mixed in this spray I don't have to put them on one at a time. But as usual, these companies add waaaay too much stuff, hardly ever just the right amount of stuff before they mess the product up.

Like a lot of non natural products, and even some that arent, they should've left out the alcohol drying perfume. Not only does it stink (cant stand it), but perfume is just another alcohol, so in the end it'll damage your hair... dry it out. It's just like if you rubbed rubbing alcohol in your hair... same thing. No one with any common sense would want to do that, so I don't know why these companies keep putting alcohol in their stuff that's suppoed to moisturize... shine... whatever. It cancels it out.

The product was okay.. it shined at first but because I'm used to using the exact same products on their own without the drying alcohol perfume, I noticed my hair was actually dryer than when I do it myself without this spray.

Wont buy again unless they take out the stinky perfume
