I keep this stuff around for prompt treatment of minor wounds. It comes in a small bottle with a shaker top under the cover. You sprinkle this on a cut, and you will see it heal twice as fast. Unlike the ointments, this powder keeps the wound dry and more easily dressed when covered. I keep one in the medicine cabinet and another bottle in my first aid kit, where it has proven useful many times over the years. Polysporin is hard to find, and ordering it on line is much cheaper than having your pharmacist get it for you, which he may or may not do.

My doctor instructed me to apply moist heat to my knee all day for several days and I purchased this item. I works fine, but needs to be reheated about every 20 minutes. Weighing in at 1 lb 11 oz it is also heavy, firmly packed, and definitely too long for use on a joint. The seam that runs the length of it also keeps it from being very flexible. The feel is similar to a "door snake" used to block out drafts. Bed Buddy makes a joint wrap, but I was unable to find one in any store and did not have time to order online.

We purchased these first aid kits for our company fleet. They have a hard case and separate compartments for all the items which is great for in the vehicle. No shifting items in this case. I originally bought these to lay my med supplies on top of during blood draws, but I'm finding they work great for other household uses as well. Whenever I have a situation where I would normally use many paper towels with a cleaner, I can get away with using just one of these. They don't tear apart when you run water through them to rinse them and then squeeze the liquid out. If you take the price, x's by 100, then divide that by 126 (the amount of wipes in the box), you get a good value for your money. Again, not for regular paper towel uses (the price for me would be too high in this case), but for the tougher duties around work and your home.
The product works great but unfortunately the package was not boxed as it should being sent to a very cold state. Both glass bottles had frozen & cracked the whole bottle so the product had shattered glass in it :(. Used this product many times & it works amazingly well.

What I did want this for, I am almost embarassed to say is chafing in other areas. I don't consider myself overweight, but by darned if my upper inner thighs don't chafe like crazy when I sweat. It has been to the point that I felt like my skin was ripping off and I get actual swelling in the chafed area. I thought this might help, so I applied it and it worked like a charm for me. What was also helpful and hopefully not a fluke was that my shorts did not seems to ride up as much between my legs. The container is smaller than a travel size deoderant but pretty much is used in the same way. I wish I could review how it works with shoe blisters but like I said, I have no shoes that cause blisters, but I do like how it works with chafing and it would be my guess it would work well.

Chap stick comes in many different forms now, but the Friction Block is more like the first Chap Stick product made for lips...so many years ago. I used The Friction Block for my bunions. I wish I had them operated on many, many years ago because they have gotten progressively worse & cause discomfort when I wear some of my favorite shoes. Recently, for the first time, my favorite shoes caused a blister on my bunion. I applied the Friction Block liberally on the spots that are prone to blister, and decided to apply it to a couple callouses on the bottom of my feet & then over the tops of my toes for extra measure; then put on thin pant socks with my favorite shoes. At the end of a 6 hour day, I didn't have any blisters. The Friction Block didn't prevent the discomfort of my shoes; I had a red spot on my bunion...but at least, it didn't blister. There's a generous amount of product in one stick. It's too cool here to wear sandals. Before I found Friction Block, I would literally put ten Band-Aids on my feet and then carry a box with me everywhere if I wanted to wear heels. Or flats. Or wedges. Or booties. I can't even wear most flip flops because I get blisters everywhere from rubber or leather straps. And strappy sandals just meant an excrutiating evening after the first few minutes. But then I discovered Friction Block and I haven't used a Band-Aid in months! My feet are blister free. You have to apply it liberally the moment you feel anything rubbing (or in my case, you know exactly where each pair of shoes will cause blisters, so I use it before I even put anything on my feet). You cannot wait until you have a blister, and you may need to reapply if your first application is very thin, but one small stick lasts a long time even with frequent applications. (Warning: It may discolor lighter fabrics; test in an inconspicuous location first.) I love this product!!
