First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads-60 ct.

This was probably the first skincare product I started using after several years of being resigned to washing my face with only dove soap and using a super sensitive unscented lotion. Several years ago, I had a terrible reaction to a facial and my face was red and peeling for weeks. Since then, my dermatologist recommended that I use only specific allergen free products, which definitely helped the redness and peeling to go away, but I was left with pretty dull skin that I didn't know what to do with. I was deathly afraid of trying any new products, but I was slowly won over by a sample of these facial radiance pads... I started using one every night and remarkably my skin did not have any horrible reaction!! Even better, I noticed right away that my skin did look brighter and more refreshed. I felt like it was the perfect addition to my bare bones skincare routine. Since I started using The First Aid Beauty brand, I've tried several other products from their line but the radiance pads seem to work the best so far. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is that there is a slightly strong scent that takes some getting used to, not sure if it's due to the licorice root ingredient? But the radiance pads are still worth it for the gentle exfoliation they provide and the ease of use... I would definitely recommend to anyone with sensitive skin!

First, a bit about my skin. I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin, that is flaky/dry in most places, and shiny in others. I can't use regular exfoliating products because they ALL make me break out (as do most products in general). I was at my complete wits end, and then along came this product. It has completely changed my skin!! I use it every night and it never irritates. I wake up with baby-soft, exfoliated skin, and my breakouts have decreased substantially. I should add that I am also now using the FAB cleanser, and the ultra repair cream, but if I had to pick one, the radiance pads are my must-have. I will never use a different skin regimen again!

I first found this product when shopping for a simple toner to refresh my face between washing and makeup application each morning. Not only do they serve that purpose, they seem to moisturize my face ever so lightly without being greasy. The one thing I dislike is tossing all those pads in the trash, but I figured out a way to minimize the impact: as needed, I cut a stack of 4 o5 five of them in half and just pop them back into the jar. They stay as moist as all the others, go twice as far, and I'm putting them in the landfill half as quickly. Better than the alternative!

I put this on after I cleanse my face, and it feels really moisturizing for my face. I noticed my skin tone looks more even, and it's been helping my acne too, if I get a pimple it will go away in a day and the redness will go away immediately. I used the other reviewers advice and cut the pad in half to make it last (it's great since you don't really need a whole pad, there's enough product on half a pad for your face). I My face feels really refreshed after I use it too, kinda like I can breathe through my skin, I can't explain it, but it's lovely. I would recommend this to anyone with troubled skin, acne, redness, or just someone who wants to feel refreshed.

Johnson & Johnson First Aid Hurt-Free Wrap (1-Inch x 2.3-Yard), 1-Count Rolls

Knocked a cup of boiling hot tea in my lap. So I now am trying to figure out the best way to bandage first and second-degree burns on my thighs. I tell you this: there is no good way that doesn't require you to lie still all day. If you can do that, stop reading now.

For the rest of us: I tried Ace but it fell down and also burns need air. They cannot get air through an Ace bandage. Plain gauze does not hold at all, no matter how well you wrap it and secure the ends. Kling rolls are barely any better. Tape may be okay for a day but it becomes painful and if you pull it off, you will irritate your skin quickly, even if you're using paper tape and not athletic tape.

Johnson & Johnson's hurt-free wrap is the best option I've found so far. Unfortunately the strips easily roll up and become a fraction of their size, which may leave part of your wound uncovered. And its removal is not 100% painless. Air flow to the wound is not 100% either.

This is not a perfect product but it's better than the alternatives.

This wrap stays put and doesn't wrinkle up like other brand I have tried. I use it every time I go running.

Can be used to secure gauze wraps around fingers, toes, wrists and wherever necessary, adhering but not fighting with the wrap. Durable but light. Easily cut to lengths or widths suited to situation.

This wrap is made of nice material but it is horrible at sticking to itself when wrapping. The wraps don't stay and it comes off very easily. I've used other wraps that stay much better. I would expect a much higher quality product from a well established company like Johnson & Johnson

Safety 1st Ultrasonic 360 Degree Humidifier

I have been looking for a filterless humidifier for the past couple years. I had a humidifier that I liked but it used these strange accordion paper filters. It only took a couple of months for the filter to get moldy or have lots of water deposits. It was pretty disgusting and I kept having to buy refills. That added up quickly. A friend at work brought her humidifier in and said she loved it. So I decided to invest in this one. I am really impressed. I took it out of the box and filled up the reservoir very quickly and had it on the machine running in less than 2 minutes. The other bonus is that the unit is ultra quiet.It makes a little bit of noise which is nice for the white noise but it isn't obnoxious or distracting. I love that you have a lot of options for the mist output. It isn't just 2 or 3 levels. There is a lot of variation. My favorite unique feature is that it has two mist outlets so you can have the air go in two directions (I am not really sure how important this is but it is a nifty feature). When you open the box the two misters are stacked but you can move them whatever direction you want. Finally, and most importantly I like that it is filterless. This saves a lot of money for me and I am just tired of gross filters. I am a big fan of this humidifier and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good humidifier. It is marketed as a baby room humidifier but I would just buy it the blue one and use it in every room of your house.

Update: For some reason the motor has started being loud when I turn it on. If it tap it, the noise goes down. I will keep you updated. 2/24 the noise is no longer an issue. Still working great. Love how quiet it is and the quality of the mist. My little girl is sick right now and it is helping a LOT. We must have got a faulty one. Motor stopped working BUT they are sending me a new base out in 10 days. Make sure to keep your receipt in case of a faulty product. Very impressed with the company.

I've owned this humidifier for a little over a year now, and it's never let me down. The product description is a little lackluster though. I wouldn't use this in a room that's over 500 sq ft. It worked great in my bedroom last winter, but I have an open floor studio apartment now (around 7-750 sq ft) and it's just not enough. Even with refilling it twice a day and having it run 24/7 the humidity level in the air has never been above 40% (and that was on a warm, rainy day).

Very quiet operation, when turned up all the way the most you will hear is a slight "trickling" noise from the ultrasonic waves splashing the water around.

Make sure the surface you put it on is level. Even a slight bit off can cause it to leak water.

In the past I've needed to buy on average a new humidifier each winter because they're always cheap and crap out, not so with this one. Overall the merits of this humidifier vastly out weigh my complaints.

I enjoy the absence of the whirring sound that my old humidifier had and the lack of a filter to get moldy is great. The first two nights I had issues with the area on the table and floor underneath and around the humifier getting completely soaked with water and thought I would have to return it until I realized that the directional nozzle that fits on the top of the tank had fallen on the floor when I opened it. I decided to try it one more time with the nozzle on the top and that resolved the soaking issue. If I run it at full blast it doesn't last the whole night but it works just fine at about 60% output. You can't refill it at a typical bathroom sink because of the height of the tank but I keep a water bottle handy and it does the trick. No real complaints. Its not fabulous but suits my needs and is offered at a good price.

I bought this to replace a larger whole-house style humidifier and ultimately it was disappointing.

Pros:

Quiet enough not to disturb baby

Ability to aim mist from top (it turns to direct mist)

Tank is not heavy and could be filled in bathroom sink

Bottom base, easy to clean (not easy to clean water tank)

Tight seal on bottom of tank

No filters to replace (though does require those useless protect cartridges)

Cons:

If you don't leave some water in the base (walk it carefully back to your room), when you load the water tank onto the clean, empty base about 1/3 of the water in the tank is immediately "lost" so you have to refill the tank again to make it through the night

Impossible to clean water tank (despite soaking with bleach and vinegar) we had nasty pink stuff growing and it couldn't be reached soaking in vinegar didn't work, neither did the bleach

Plastic was flimsy tank cracked in the middle of the second winter (though I was washing this thing every single day and did my best to be gentle and not bang it on the sink while attempting to reach the mold inside)

For the $25 I paid, it got me through a winter and I learned a valuable lesson about "cool mist" humidifiers AVOID. I actually ended up writing a review today because I was researching safety of these types of units and as it turns out, cool mist humidifiers have the potential to cause some real harm by spreading microbes and minerals from the water into the air. My next purchase will be a "warm mist" humidifier, with a UV light.

Adventure Medical Kits Wound Medic Kit

These kits are nice in that they are sealed in a water proof package and are easily identified in a first aid kit. You could do the same thing with a good zip lock bag but these are priced so that you might as well just go this route and be done with it.

I have the product, but have not used it thank goodness. So It is at least a 3, But it gives a peace of mind that I have it available if I every need to use something like this. I do a lot of outdoor activities and a first aid car is often a hour away or more and cell phone coverage is not always available.

I bought this for my (clumsy) daughter who is heading off to college in the fall. It has everything she needs (hopefully) to get her through her first year of school. Two big issues with this kit.

1. Not much more inside than Bandaids. I bought two different kits. The other one I got was only $2 more expensive, but came with much more variety.

2. The box doesn't stay latched! I have to store it with it flat on it's back. If I try to lean it up against the wall, the door flips open and the contents spill out. The latch just doesn't work.

They keep the water out, and come with a one way valve to prevent anything coming out of the victims mouth from getting into yours! Much better than the lip masks they give you in safety class!

I am an EMT and a CPR Instructor, and these are the BEST mask ever made. In the fire district I'm in, whenever we use a BVM and repalce it, we throw away the mask that comes with it and put in one of these. They are easier to seal (which is vital when ventillating) than any other mask I've ever used. I really have no idea why the old style masks are even still made. Let me explain how I found out it works: My sister came to visit and brought some the little bottle with her, insisting that I try it. I doubted her because I had really dark circles under my eyes (of French descent in my 40s with dark eyes and dark hair and genetically prone). She kept insisting that I apply several layers of the product over the course of one morning. At first, I saw no change. My husband and I mercilessly mocked her, saying "see, it doesn't work!" She kept requesting that I apply another layer. Suddenly, I noticed the change--the circles seemed lighter. I was sure that it was not real but rather in my head; I was just perceiving a lightening of the dark circles because I am suggestible.

However, I kept using it--again the next day and the next after of her visit. When she left, I ordered a bottle. About a week later, my husband said, "You look really good lately without the dark circles under your eyes." I was shocked that he had noticed and actually approved of a beauty product. Most of the time, he will jokingly say about a product, "That's the quickest [fill in the dollar amount I spent] that company ever made!" or "Why don't we just crumple up a [insert a bill of the appropriate amount] and throw it out the window!"

Description: It is a 2-3 inch tall glass bottle with a ball on the top so that you can roll the product gently under the delicate skin under the eyes. The liquid is clear and watery in texture. The glass and label make it impossible to see into the bottle to see the amount of liquid left in it. This is possibly to keep the product away from the light, but nonetheless it is annoying as you don't know exactly how much of the product is left.

As a result of my sister and husband's verdicts and my own perception, I am now sure that it work. I don't use it every day because I figure that anything that works is strong. I use it in the morning (it contains caffeine) every other day on top of my moisturizer.
