I bought this cold pack to replace one just like it that I have had for at least 10 years. It finally developed a small leak (probably from falling asleep lying on it)& small amounts of gel began leaking from it. This cold pack is a must in my household for headaches, as I dislike taking headache medications & need it for an occasional headache, stiff neck etc. I keep mine in the freezer. It always remains pliable & usually provides enough lasting cold to eliminate the headache. LOVE IT111

Some of this type of product become almost like ice in hardness when you take them out of the freezer not this one. it is ice cold, yet soft. As for function, it works fine as advertised. It also has directions printed right upon it, e.g., leave in place no more than :20 at a time to avoid frostbite. Personally, I leave in place much less time, then remove for maybe a minute and then place upon the target area again, so I rotate quite frequently, and that seems to work well. When it is no longer cold enough, one only has to return it to the freezer for about :30 to start the applications again. Hope this helps understand this product. I'm quite satisfied with it.

I really like this cold pack as it is soft and flexible. What I like the most is that is does not ooze out gel like some of the other cold packs. This one is perfect for when you have a migraine headache. currently, I am using this for my broken ankle and it will conform to my ankle. It will stay cool for at least 30 minutes. Safety reminder is initially to use protection cloth between your skin and the ice pack to prevent frostbite reaction. I have found that cold therapy is best for joint pain.

Apex Apex Twice-A-Day Weekly Pill Organzier

Alright, these twice daily pill boxes are harder to find than they should be. So you're kind of stuck with whatever you find, but there are good things and bad about this box.

Pros:

Two different colors; makes it harder to mess up your AM and PM.

Durable plastic; have been using it for over a year and no problems.

Large; bigger than you expect, hold many pills including those big ones.

Cons:

Look closely, the PM days go from right to left. This seems backwards to me, it's oppisite of how we read and also from the AM side. This has taken A LOT of getting used to and caused frequent problems. I still forget sometimes.

Writing fades. I guess this happens with every case though.

All that said, I'm still using it because I can't find anything else to acomidate my pills (usually at least 5 each dose, two of which are large). I think at this point if I found one that went the "right" way, I'd probably have an even harder time remembering.

Update:

One of the doors has finally started to fall off. I have it held on now by a couple of pieces of athletic tape. So with daily use, mine lasted about a year and a half.

Works as it should, is roomy and holds a huge number of pills per compartment, even several large ones like vitamins. The lids can be removed for cleaning, the compartments are contoured for easy pill removal.

A drawback for me is the fact that the lids open too easily. Therefore, this is a pill organizer best suited for the countertop at home but not for travel because the contents would be spilled very quickly. Other than that: Good product.

The closures on each slot are so weak that you have to hold them all closed when you open one, else all the pills come tumbling out. I bought it at WalMart which is an hour away, so of course won't go to the trouble of returning it, but can warn others here.

I own several of these and am ordering more so I can prep vitamins and meds for hubby and I a couple of weeks at a time. None of mine have broken down and my oldest box is several years old, having survived a handful of cross-country trips.

Pros: Roomy enough for my 8 huge supplement pills and several smaller medications in each compartment. Tops pull out for easy loading and washing. Cheerful colors differentiate between morning and evening doses at a glance. Incredible discount and low shipping (fast delivery, too).

Cons: Sometimes the lids do pop open when I travel, but I just slip the pill organizer into a gallon zip bag and fold it over. You could slip a rubber band around it until you reach your destination but the zip bag is fine for me. Almost all pill organizers I've purchased have popped open in my purse so I didn't subtract a star for this.

The fact that the top comes out makes it easier to fill if you take 10 plus large pills twice a day or have movement issues like I do. Also the night side does read from right to left but if you are taking AM meds then you can look and say I took Wednesday mornings meds and know then that it's time for Wednesday night. I would order it again.

I will never forget the joy I felt when I got my first positive pregnancy test with Clearblue Easy Digital, after months of failed attempts and fertility drugs. Spenco Blister Pads

I was looking for a product to protect blisters on my feet. I play flag football every week and needed something to protect my feet from blistering up each week. Unfortunately this product just falls off the skin when I played. I'm sure the product works fine for walking or something less strenuous, but for active sports and for feet blisters it will end up coming off. Turns out that using simple sports tape was my best protection cause i can cover a large area on my foot and it will not move.

I am training for a 50-mile walk, and so I need blister protection that sticks above and beyond the rest. This was NOT the product. I might have rated it higher knowing that I am expecting more from a bandage in my case, but when I put them on the backs of my heals and walked around for a few minutes collecting socks and sneakers and getting ready to get those on, these still fell off in that time. I can't guarantee they won't work in a position that moves and scrunches less, but I would not recommend them as protection for the backs of your heels. They were extremely disappointing.

I applied one of these patches after I got a blister while hiking. I still had to hike the next day and was worried about how my feet would hold up. While I did still have a larger blister at the end of the hike, I was able to hike with minimal pain from the blister until I could get home and doctor it. I would recommend however that you make sure the area is thoroughly dry before you try to apply the patch or it won't adhere. Once I learned that lesson, I had no problems getting the patch to adhere really well. For my next hike, I intend to apply one of these patches BEFORE I start so hopefully there will be no blister at all.

I don't write reviews often, but this product deserves one. I own 2 of these, and they work so much faster then trauma shears. This thing just slices through pretty much any clothing. On their promotional videos, they show it cutting through firefighter turn outs in just seconds. the blade is serrated, so if something is a little tough you can use it like a saw and it'll cut right through. There in no risk of cutting a patient with this tool either. If you want something that will cut seat belts, and clothing with ease and not risk cutting your patient then this is the took for you. I am an EMT, and volunteer firefighter, and love this tool...

Important that it is bright colored. I haven't put it to the task but my life may depend on it because it is mounted in plain sight on my rock buggy.

The Treck does the job in most cases but there's a learning curve. You have to develop the technique to get the cut started through layers of clothing, or heavy seam binding, etc. Once the cut is started, it's twice as fast as scissors and saves on the repetitive hand motion required by scissors.

The size of the handle is a bit of an issue. It is about 1" too long to fit properly in a standard EMS/emergency services trouser cargo pocket, so it sticks out most of the time when carried.

Bought this for my mom. She has flexor Tendinitis (or locked finger) issue. Flexor Tendinitis is where tendons in the fingers is either catching or locking in a bent position, particularly in the morning. If you ever wear a splint you would know how uncomfortable it is. In come the Kinesiology tape.
