I have curly hair, with waaaay too much body, and this is the only product that controls it. I've tried other gels, mousses, curl creams, and American Crew Fiber, and none of them can touch the hold of this gel. I have a mixture of 3a, 3b, and 3c type curls, with a lot of frizz. My hair is shoulder-length.
Pros:
-This product defines my curls better, makes them tighter, and tames the frizz.
-It even works wonders on those new stubborn grays that normally stick up all around my head in a perverse halo because they are just growing in and are thus only about three inches long.
-It is the only product I've used that makes it possible for me to skip washing for a day, as the curls normally get flattened in parts, too separated, and too fuzzy from my rolling around on the pillow. I wake up, pull on the curls here and there, and I'm good to go don't even have to use any water!
-I have been out in windy weather as well, and my hair still looked fabulous when I went back inside after two hours.
-It is inexpensive. I pay less than 1/3 of this price for the 40 oz tub in my local grocery store. Even at the somewhat inflated price on Amazon, I would still buy it, though. Its performance is that good.
If I were on a quest for the best hair product, this would be the Holy Grail of hair gel.
Cons:
-Does make hair crunchy until it's all the way dry, and then I have to rescrunch it to get rid of the last of the wet look. Of course, this is true of all gels, in my experience, as well as mousses, because I have to use so much to adequately control my hair. I use about three half-dollar-sized dollops, which is a lot, but necessary for my wild-woman hair.
-Can be a bit hard to wash out if I use it every day.

The product was fine but the lid on the container was broken and product leaked into the package There were pieces missing from the lid and they were not in the package which leads me to believe the container was damaged when it was packed. Contacted serller who denied problem and was unpleasant.
