Dr. Holmquist Healthcare Bruise Relief Gel, 2 Ounce Tube

I decided to try Bruise Relief because I'd heard it worked well on undereye circles. I've tried just about everything there is to try short of laser surgery, so I figured, what's one more attempt? Especially with a price so reasonable compared to other so-called undereye miracles.

I've been using the Bruise Relief for about a month and a half, and it has lightened my circles noticeably, though they're not completely gone. It's not a miracle product in that regard, but it's still better than any other cream or ointment I've tried under my eyes. One thing you might want to know, however, if you're trying this for under the eye is that this ointment has a lot of slip, so it's not ideal for wearing under makeup. Keep your regular undereye cream on the makeup table for that. On that note, another thing I discovered quite by accident is that this is an awesome eye makeup remover. Seriously, this product takes off anything, even waterproof mascara, without irritating my eyes or skin. And it's less expensive than a lot of eye makeup removing creams. If you've got sensitive eyes and/or skin and wear eye makeup, give this stuff a try as a makeup remover.

I also did try this for its original purpose, on an honest-to-gosh bruise, and it cleared a nasty bruise up within two days. Check out the ingredients list and be amazed at the short list of natural products that went into this ointment. If you're into making your own beauty products, you could probably make this at home after a trip to the natural foods store.

All in all, at a price so fair, this is a must-have for the medicine cabinet.

Adenture Medical Kits After Bite Original Treatment

This is real good on insect bites or stings. I've tried other products, that only mask the itching. This works fast. You put it on, the itching is gone!

This product even tops the After Bite for Kids cream. It will work, but it's not nearly as effective as the full treatment pen.

Some people's body chemistry attracts bugs more than others. I'm one of those. When out for a walk with others, I'm their best bug repellent. Seriously. Bugs find me, have a snack, then go home to tell their friends.

This product is made for adults? I am a smaller than average adult and this thing wont fit around my arm at all. Well maybe my wrist only, but this is useless junk. I'll just keep it for child use only. Use a belt or some other type of tourniquet instead.

I purchased this thinking it would be easier to put on yourself in the event it was necessary. Well, the rubber does not have much give so applying it to ones arm alone is difficult. Had I cut my artery (which happened recently) I would have probably bled out since i would have had to remove pressure from the wound and then taken a minute to situate myself so I could hold, stretch, and apply. It would have been better had they had a buckle that it doubled back through before being velcroed to itself.

First, this is a great product if:

Used on a very small person, who isn't you... (almost impossible to use on yourself.)

I thought that I found a way to use it on myself, then almost have it ripped in two pieces... IN TWO DAYS... I mean it's GREAT QUALITY rubber and such, and I ALMOST BROKE IT IN TWO DAYS! It's maybe 1 foot long... ONE FOOT LONG.... for an adult.

I'm beside myself.

As I said, GREAT QUALITY for a first aid kit, just don't hurt yourself... yikes.

I waited to give my daughter a pacifier, because we were struggling with breastfeeding, and the pacifier seemed to be making things worse. Now, breastfeeding is going all right, but my baby is going through a phase where she is fussy in the evenings. (I hope it is just a phase!)

I've tried giving her several different kinds of pacifiers, and she usually rejects all of them. Occasionally, she will accept one of these Gum Drop pacifiers. When she does, I feel like giving this product 15 stars, because it is so nice to have a break from listening to her cry. When she accepts one of these pacifiers, sucking on it does seem to soothe her. There is a little edge thing on the reverse, and she sometimes grabs onto that while she is sucking. It's pretty cute.

The little edge thing has a hole in it, so if you wanted to attach this pacifier to the baby (or something else), I think that would work. We use the pacifier pretty infrequently, so we don't attach it to anything at all.

If you're trying different pacifiers to hopefully find one that will work, it's worth trying this one, because it is a different shape than many of the other options out there.

I love the gumdrop pacifier because it didn't interfere with breastfeeding when my son was first born -it didn't create any "nipple confusion" that other pacifiers can create. When he was born the only place I knew to get these were through Hawaii Medical, but then I noticed these being carried in stores. Yes they are definitely a sturdier material than the Hawaii Medical version, but those are meant for newborns. I noticed that as my son got older he was starting to chew on them and bend them, and I started to see fractures and cracks inside the pacifier itself. Since the "store" version of these had a 0-3 mo or 3+ mo designation I decided to try the 3+ and they have been great. My son is not able to bend them like he could the softer ones and I don't worry about him getting the whole pacifier in his mouth. He has no problem keeping them in his mouth when he wants to because the nipple part is not any different than the softer pacifiers. I would definitely recommend this version for older babies.

Cryopak Flexible Ice Blanket 16.5 x 11.66-Inch (6 Pack)

As a letter carrier in the southwest desert, It gets extremely hot in my mail truck. I use my cryopak in my lunch box to keep my food and water cool, then after lunch I sit on the ice packs, one at a time. They melt relatively fast when it's real hot, but they work really well at cooling off my seat, seeing as I sit all day. Sounds corny but it works for me, and when it is 105 degrees or more I'll try anything.

I thought I would pass along a new to me invention and use for the Cryopak Fex Ice Blanket.

I cut them into long thin stips and roll them in a wet dish towel, like this ==== ====.

Anyway, I pitch the wet towel into the freezer a few minutes before I go out for a run, hike or motorcycle ride. Then I wrap the contraption around my neck and stuff the ends in the front of my shirt. It rests on my carotid arteries in my neck and keeps me much, much more comfortable when it is blazing hot outside.

It also makes me able in quickly recover from what would be a totally overheated condition.

Of course you could accomplish the same thing with ice cubes. What a mess that makes when the cubes melt, not to mention not being inappropriate for women. (Think wet T-shirt contest)

i confess that i don't actually use this for chilling food but for migraine relief. when i have a migraine attack, the most soothing thing i can do without taking medication (which i often don't want to do either because i get migraines more often than i have pills per month or because i have already medicated two or three days that week) is apply an ice pack to my temples and the surrounding area. i sleep with an ice pack on my pillow often, and these are great. i usually wrap one in a tea towel or other thin towel to keep the condensation away from my skin directly (which would be painfully cold after a while) and feel instant relief as soon as it touches my skin. i just love it. the only thing i wish is that it stayed frozen longer. i've had ice packs before that are just solid and filled with gel that stay partially frozen even until morning. this is thawed a few hours into the night, and sometimes i wake up wanting more cold. but that's a minor complaint. i still use them and would buy them again in a heartbeat.
