This works really good, especially in the shower, for cleaning open wounds and getting rid of the dead skin as the wound gradually heals.

After reading reviews I bought this to use to bathe my mares rear legs where she's carried some sort of skin fungus for years...and though we've tried everything, this is really making the best headway so far. I scrub her legs with this in warm water, let it sit for about 5 minutes and then rinse it off. I do this 2 or 3 times a week and it's the best her legs have looked in years.

This really works! I wash with hibiclens 2x a week as I read somewhere that you should not use this product everyday.I squeeze about 2oz in a 8oz.platic application bottle and fill the rest up with water to dilute it. This really works and now I don't have to wear deordorant and my BO has been completely erdicated. You have to still shower everyday. I had been going thru a lot with wounded feet for years. But one day I looked at my right foot that was healed and saw the whole heel had fallen off. Of course I panicked and was full of fear. But then I thought if I go to ER they will amputate.

Tried this product when I was judging a competition in a hot gym that was not air-conditioned. Personally, I found that applying it to the chest or wrists didn't help much. The back of the neck was the place that worked. BUY THIS AND USE IT. This product is a must have for every household. A friend of mine has diabetes and she had open sores on her legs that were very painful, I suggested Apinol and she tried it. Not even two weeks later the sores were completely healed. I have used it on mosquito bites to relieve the itch, just one application and they are gone overnite. UPDATE: So, I guess I have an allergy to the stuff now. I did a quick google search for other chemical that Apinol is made of... and discovered that it is used in making commercial floor cleaner. So, the questions one should ask is---

WHY is such an ingredient a topical product? Is it safe for a human's liver and tissues once absorbed? Is it cancerous?

My N.C. farming family used to put motor oil on a dogs wounds and it worked well... the dog would leave it alone, and so would the bugs... but I am guessing it was not healthy. Heck, ol Noth Carolinians used to clean their own wounds with desiel fuel. Maybe apinol is safe. Maybe it is a great last resort if other antiseptics offend your person. But, I am tossing my bottle in the trash. Sorry Apinol.

I've gone through 15 of these in a week. From the very start they've been extremely difficult to light, prepare yourself for some blistered thumbs! On average they will only light successfully 10-20 times until the wheel breaks or they stop expelling gas. I've got a pile of these still full of gas and completely unusable. Do not buy this garbage!! You'll get more use and value out of 5 BIC lighters compared to 50 of these generic and poorly manufactured lighters.

I scalded my hand badly(spilt hot coffee), my entire hand was red & swollen. I tried aloe which helped a little. A co-worked had a packet of BurnAid and I tried it and was amazed. This is not the original Mercurochrome that you grew up with. The FDA has banned the highly effective merbromin 2% solution that was perhaps the best antiseptic. The old saying goes keep them sick and they will come back. Its another of their several scare tactics. I have tried using this substitute product containing Benzalkonium Chloride but its not as effective as the original one. I still have open cut even after a week of applying this fake junk. I know people still using Mercurochrome all over the world that are 90 years old who swear by it. Not a single person has reported mercury poisoning from using the real Mercurochrome. Tuna and Swordfish contain more mercury but those are not banned. The filling used in teeth also contains mercury and that's not banned. Aspartame is not banned. Its a shame that FDA has become corrupt and will do anything for money nowadays. Such a shame.

This is a typical case of the FDA swatting mosquitoes and ignoring vultures. I suppose that mercury poisoning could occur if one were to drink a gallon or two of mercurochrome, but most people I know probably would not do that.
