Working as a bricklayer in 1993 I fell off a scaffold due to cheap outriggers. I landed on my shoulder, damaged it and had three subsequent surgeries. Each surgeon assured me that he "fixed" my problem. No one ever did get it repaired. I went to therapy and learned about the "McConnel" taping method. I'm reasonably sure that's right. First, a layer of retention dressing is applied. Then a second piece of tape is fastened to the first and this piece is pulled up to help bring the shoulder into its proper position. The retention dressing is a "foundation" for the second piece of stronger tape that does all the work. The retention tape does not hurt the skin or affect it in any way. No more headaches, no more stiff, sore neck muscles. I know that this taping method is used on other ares of the body, but my problem was my shoulder. Here it is, nineteen years later and I still need and still use it. What a blessing!Read Best Reviews of Smith and Nephew Hypafix Dressing Retention Sheets - 2 in x 10 yds Roll Here
