Sanvall Decolorized Iodine - White Iodine - Yodo Blanco

Sanvall Decolorized Iodine - White Iodine - Yodo BlancoI bought this after reading that it was good for brittle and cracking fingernails. After applying it to my nail tips for just a week the nails stopped breaking.

I have used this product to combat a longstanding toe nail fungus which seemed to respond to nothing. It has helped tremendously (for some unaccountable reason) and I recommend it to anyone looking for this use. It was recommended to me by someone in my local coop and I'm so glad it was.

It made my flaking nails stronger. Not so pleasant odor, but the results were worth it. Here are 4 more words.

Purchased this to treat toenail fungus. It's too soon to tell if it's working, but it's easier and more convenient than trying to soak in a vinegar solution every night. This bottle includes a built-in brush, which make it easy to apply and much less wasteful than using a cotton swab. It still stinks like any other iodine, but it's clear so it's nice that it won't stain. Note that if you can find this local, you'll pay half because of savings on shipping.

The First Years American Red Cross Hospital Style Nasal Aspirator

The First Years American Red Cross Hospital Style Nasal AspiratorMy brother bought one of these when we were visiting and our baby got a stuffy nose... you can barely squeeze this thing, let alone use it to clear a stuffy nose... total waste, I can't believe they even put this to market.

I can't believe they can sell this, much less put the Red Cross name on it. It does not work. Period. I cannot squeeze it with all my might (and my husband, who can, still says it doesn't suck after he does). I'm incredulous how this got created and passed as a healthcare tool. It is just a hard piece of plastic that does not work. Buy a different one before you need to use this and find it is worthless.

Buy The First Years American Red Cross Hospital Style Nasal Aspirator Now

Got this as part of a first aid kit and I have since replaced it with the aspirator I got at the hospital. The bulb is so stiff it is impossible to squeeze which makes the thing all but useless. I expected more from something with the American Red Cross name. Very disappointed.

Read Best Reviews of The First Years American Red Cross Hospital Style Nasal Aspirator Here

Wish I could give this zero stars. I also bought this at Target and it's horrible. The plastic is so stiff you need two hands to squeeze it and then it doesn't pop back into shape fast enough to actually suck any snot out. It's not "hospital style". it's just shaped like the ones from the hospital. The ones at the hospital are soft and effective, but you have to toss them after a day because they can't be cleaned. I think I'll just buy a lot of those and toss them when I'm done--if it costs more it's worth it to help my baby breathe.

Bought this at Target. Waste of money. I am still on the hunt for an aspirator that actually works. This does not suck out the boogies!

PURELL Sanitizing Hand Wipes Individually Wrapped 100-ct. Box

PURELL Sanitizing Hand Wipes Individually Wrapped 100-ct. BoxThe "brand new" Purell hand wipes are a terrible new version of what were great hand wipes previously made by Purell and Cojo. The previous wipes (with alcohol) were larger 6 X 8" soft waffle cloth that worked well for any cleanup or sanitizing. The old version no longer made or available were clothlike and could clean while sanitizing. The new version are smaller hard paper similar to wax paper with liquid dripping from the hard paper. It is useless in cleaning and very rough on any surface. It has NO absorbing properties. I would never buy again.

I would give this product negative stars if I could. This is by far the absolute worst "new" version of a product I have ever seen. The wipes are tiny in comparison to the original 6"x8" wipes. And "wipes" isn't really being accurate in describing this new product. They're more like small pieces of paper dipped in greasy alcohol. If you poured some alcohol on your hands & rubbed them together you'd get about the same effect as you would if you used one of these new wipes. The original 6"x8" were not only bigger, they were much more absorbent, so that when you used them, you were actually able to wipe your hands. As opposed to winding up with drippy wet hands with the new product.

This new product is a shameful, inferior version of the original. I suggest you stock up on as much of the original product as you can before supplies run out. After the original wipes supply runs out, I'm afraid I will have to start using Wet Ones, which are not much better than the new Purell wipes, however I refuse to give the GoJo company my business for what they have done. Really, they should be ashamed of themselves. They know that the new wipes are horrible, yet they will sell them anyway, so they can make more money for themselves, rather than make their customers happy.

This product replaced a first rate product by Purell, the 8x6 size, which was excellent. The "improved" wipe is much smaller at the 5x7 size. It is very small, is rough to the skin, and dries out immediately Also, because the put the new one in a cheaper packet, the wipe often dries out before it can be used. This is a wretched product! The manufacturer would be wise to bring back the better quality product and discontinue THIS one, even if it does cost a bit more. These ones are virtually useless compared to the discontinued larger ones. Try to obtaine 8x6 size before they are no longer available. This decision by the manufacturer was pure craziness! Or try another brand.. This product isn't what you want. Trust me on this one.

Purell Wipes are basically a replacement for the old Wet-Ones wipes. These are inexpensive and do the job. But because my employer recently starting stocking areas with these, I decided to try another brand so it doesn't look like I'm pilfering (appearances are critical.) I tried the Sani-Hands Wipes. Click to that item to see photos I took comparing them.

So the Purell wipes cost about 2/3 of what the Sani-Hands wipes do. Neither is expensive; we're talking under 8-cents per wipe either way. Both do the job. The Sani-Hands are larger, fluffier/softer, wetter and slippier. They seem to dry the hands out less too. A nicer experience, but not a deal breaker. So for 30% more money, you get maybe 30% better experience. There's no wrong answer.

The product itself purell sanitizing hand wipes is an excellent product.Because this product, which used to be readily available at many locations is now hard to find, I bought six boxes of 100. This order was placed in November. When they arrived I discovered All the boxes had an expiration date of December, which means they were very old. This had not been mentioned when I ordered. Many of the wipes were dry and therefore useless. The shipping price was also far more than the price of the product. I was unhappy with the failure to mention the expiration date which makes me hesitant to purchase other fungible items online.

The first time I ordered this table paper it was fine. I was not lucky enough to be given this while at the hospital after the birth of my son. I ended up needing stitches and they itched like crazy! I was talking to some other moms and one recommended this, I was so glad she did! This takes the itch away like nothing else did. Because it's a spray, if the area is sensitive, you won't add further aggravation!

The hospital gave this to me after the birth of my son, and what a miracle product! I used it after the birth of my daughter as well (blue can, not red antibacterial can!). You have to have this stuff on hand if your expecting! Also, I also take it on vacation in my beach bag now. My nephew was stung by jellyfish in Hawaii, and the doctor recommended this product. I started carrying it and gave it to a mom to use on her daughter who had been stung, and relief was immediate! Just a really great product!

Scarguard MD 0.5 fl oz.

Scarguard MD 0.5 fl ozHi. Yeah, this stuff smells like nail polish when you open it and put it up to your nose / and first going on. But don't worry, it doesn't keep smelling like that. The smell fades fast. This is best used on body parts that are NOT visible to the public like breasts (after surgery) and cesarean section scars etc...because after you put it on it dries and looks like paper on your skin. Yes, paper. Very thin, translucent paper that won't come off your skin IF you have it covered by a bra or underwear. BUT if you put it on an active area of your body like elbow or leg, sure, it's going to flake right off with movement. BUT if you use it for conditions like I mentioned above, can deal with a little stink and mess putting it on / both don't last and the area is then covered with a bra or clothing for the day no poblem and IT WORKS GREAT. BUT if you have an active area that other people see and it's not covered I'd go with Kelocote gel (buy from Ebay 60gm tube best deal / no I don't sell it there). Oh don't get it here... get this product (Scarguard) at CVS. I did. It was $20.00 and 50% off! DEAL. Okay, that's the scoop. Been using it for a month and scars are nearly GONE. Don't let anyone tell you nothing will remove scars completely--they just haven't tried this stuff yet. Don't fret at the smell or appearance of it just know it's for the MUCH greater good... and use on places no one sees... (but then if no one sees it why use it?) Good question. Because we don't like scars seen or unseen, they are all seen by US. Take care.

Loading...

With this product you receive a little bottle that looks like clear nail polish. And guess what? It also smells like nail polish, is applied like nail polish, and dries like nail polish. But it's not as thick as nail polish so it flakes and peels off almost as soon as it dries. I can't say if it really works or not because I couldn't find a way to keep it on my scar. I would recommend trying silicone sheets, cost is about the same and I saw a vast improvement with them.

Buy Scarguard MD 0.5 fl oz. Now

My surgeon specifically recommended ScarGuard ScarCare to treat the scars following surgery (after the proper healing time). I happened to read a few reviews before purchasing and I'm so glad I did! Between those and my own experience I can recommend this product. I've been using it for about 6 months now (have gone through 2 1/2 bottles) and the scarring is very minimal. I plan on continuing to use it for another 6 months as per the doctor's recommendation.

What I've learned that may be helpful:

Don't use the cap with brush...it doesn't seal well and the brush is not the best way to apply the liquid.

Keep and continue to use the small, red plug and cap without brush that it ships with.

Use your middle finger apply with your finger over the opening, turn the bottle upside down and give a little shake/flick to get a decent amount on your finger tip. Immediately smooth (for long scars) or dab (for small scars) onto scar.

Apply 2-3 coats per use on long scars.

It'll flake up and look like its not adhering, but it is. The edges tend to peel away and look ridiculous. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes and then gently rub the loose flakes off. The center portion should be shiny and firmly adhered to the scar. If not, apply again! My scars are under clothing, so I don't have to worry too much about the flaking, but I read other reviewers complaining about it.

It doesn't look good with make-up applied the packaging claims you can apply make-up over it once its dried and they're technically correct. You CAN apply make-up, but it doesn't look natural it looks like a wart. In my case, the small scar I was trying to lighten looked better minus make-up at all. I only apply at night to that one.

Last summer I was out running and took a bad fall that gave me deep cuts on my knee and forehead. I probably should have gone to the emergency room for stitches, but I didn't and ended up with some nasty looking scars.

So I bought a bottle of ScarGuard because the scar on my forehead was quite unattractive. I didn't bother treating the scar on my knee because I really don't care how my knee looks. After faithfully using ScarGuard twice a day for about 3 months now, the scar on my forehead is barely visable, but the untreated scar on my knee is still the way it was originally.

I'm not sure if the product will work for everyone, but it clearly worked for me.

My only complaint and the only reason for 4 starts is that it leaves a silicone film on the scar that looks a little strange.

I see that other people have complained about the smell, but I didn't find it that bad, and it smells only briefly while applying it.

Another person had a problem with the cap, but the cap I used was fine. The company may have corrected the problem.

PRO:

I had a birthmark on my neck that was fairly large, I would like to say the size of two quarters. I went and got Cryosurgery done to get the birthmark removed (three treatments). After the third time of the cryosurgery a keloid scar was left over that was very large and noticeable. So I started to use ScarGuard MD and in two days it actually shrunk double it size. I have been using scarguard MD for about one week now and the scar is almost completely gone, I am so glad I found this product. I finally wont feel self conscious about my birthmark/scar anymore

CON:

The only downside I have with this product is that when you apply this product it can get just a little itchy. I don't find this to be a major problem but the only reason why I am mentioning this is that it is very IMPORTANT not to scratch your scars. If you want your scars to go away you can not scratch them. after two minutes of applying ScarGuard MD the itchiness will go away after the hydrocoritisone is soaked into your scar.

Side Note:

I have day by day pictures of my scar healing with ScarGuard MD, if you would like I would be more then willing to show you how my scar has healed with this product. I stand by this product and even appreciate the fact that I stumbled upon it.

EMT First Responder Trauma Bag EMS, Ambulance, Medical Resuce Cab Bag - RED

EMT First Responder Trauma Bag EMS, Ambulance, Medical Resuce Cab Bag - REDThe material used for this product is far too thin. While it may serve your purpose I would recommend a first aid bag with better quality materials and padding.

This is a good bag for the price. Its slightly bigger then the Rothco EMT bag that shows up in the related items next to the bag. Its a thin bag but has a decent amount of room for basic first response and first aid work. However this bag is not big enough to hold a BVM (Bag Valve Mask). It also lacks a padded insert dividers that many other bags have. But for the price this is not a big deal since I made my own.

We use these as medical patrol bags for the local rescue organization I run.

In short if you don't need to carry a BVM or a HUGE load of trauma gear this will be a great bag for you. I would recommend this bag for First Aid use or if you need a second BLS bag or a smaller bag to supplement another bag.

PROS: Low cost, decent sized side compartments, nice top handle for carrying, decently large main compartment, Strong nylon material for day to day use.

CONS: Plastic clips on the strap feel a bit cheap, No padded divider insert.

Exactly what I wanted. Cheap, simple bag to make a first aid kit for our fleet of cars. Did not want to pay hundreds just for the bag itself. This thing has lots of pockets and is holding up well.

Only downside is that the flaps do not completely cover the main compartment, but that's OK. With a little velcro, may be able to rectify this issue.

Medique 40136 Multi-Purpose First Aid Kit, 136-PieceI see the 136 pieces, and think this is going to be a large first aid kit. It is very basic, but good for "grab and go". I will likely purchase a more complete one for home emergency use. This would be good for carrying in a car.

This first aid kit has JUST ABOUT everything. I gave this item two stars because my daughter was involved in a little accident that caused a little gash above her eye. I rushed to get this first aid kit that I recently purchased and found that there are NO BUTTERFLY bandages included...I am VERY DISAPPOINTED...what kind of FIRST AID kit doesn't have butterfly bandages which are used to doctor up one of the most common injuries????? My fault for not verifying this BEFORE I purchased but I assumed they all come with at least a few!

I had to get a kit for a flag football tournament. I had everything I needed in the kit for just your typical first aid for scrapes and cuts. It's a great size to have and it can almost fit under most seats in the car (but I would advise not to do that if you use a lot of floor-venting for AC or heat as it's this is plastic and could dry out a lot of the items in the kit, you could just block off the vent altogether).
