Just what was needed. Wife's arm has been sore and the store bandages were not suitable. Easy to use and clean.

Oral Rehydration Salts 3-Pack

Every family should have some packets of Oral Rehydration Salts around, for when diarrhea eventually hits. Pedialyte and store knockoffs have too low sodium and too high osmolarity, and kids hate the taste. Unfortunately, the World Health Organization ORS packets offered on Amazon are not the newer low-osmolarity formula, which has been around for over ten years. The CeraLyte 70, 50 g packets do have the right formula; they use maltodextrine in the form of rice syrup to deliver more calories without raising the osmolarity, and they're flavored. Problem is they cost North of $4.50 per liter packet, whereas all around the world you can buy WHO ORS packets for less than $.50 and it's easy to make your own with readily available items like Morton Lite salt and dextrose bought on Amazon.

We travel a great deal and these ORS have saved us (and our travel companions) many a time. They're the best way to recover after being sick.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment

I found this product to be a little greasy just laying on my skin. Maybe if you were VERY dry and needed extreme moisture it would work but it is too greasy for me. The fact that it is a petroleum product does not make me comfortable.

We use this to wrap around guaze bandages instead of paper tape. It holds better and lasts longer. It is easy to cut into the size and shapes you need and it just sticks together until you want to remove it and pull it apart. This is very helpful when working with an elderly parent who has very thin skin and tapes are just too hard on the skin.

This wrap is fantastic. I first became aquainted with it when going to a wound center. It works as light compression and holds gauze bandages in position, often without the use of adhesive which is terrific for a patient we cannot tolerate tape on their delicate skin.

The first thing I noticed is that there isn't much on a single roll considering you're supposed to use this as a wrap,so i'd prefer atleast two rolls per pack and at first I didn't believe that it would work,the adhesive didn't seem to adhere to anything including itself but then,it did,and I was even able to sleep wearing it without it unraveling.

FUTURO Splint Wrist Brace, Black, Medium 1 ea

This wrist splint is very comfortable; it is light weight and firm; it keeps the wrist immobile while allowing for easy finger movement. Cool because it's permeable and you don't have to worry about getting a left vs right model; use for either hand. Cool black color too. But for all around office/keyboarding use, I'd take the "Smart Glove" any day. THAT is a five star product.

I ordered this brace to trade off with an older one I already had. This was so much more comfortable than my old one, I had trouble talking myself into switching them from day to day. Felt like it was a good product for the money.

While I did in fact receive a BVM, it was NOT the one listed in this ad.

Instead of an (clear) Ambu brand BVM (as pictured here), I received the "Manual Resuscitator Adult Latex Free" from Legend MD instead (blue).

Yes, it will work and still qualifies as a BVM, however be aware that you may or may not actually get an Ambu brand product as advertised. There is also a slight (less than 2 dollar) price difference between these products so I basically overpaid for an item I could have purchased correctly through another seller. I'll chalk that up to a learning experience and avoid this seller in the future.

The only reason this review received a 2nd star is because of their prompt shipping not that it helps much to quickly get the wrong item.

For me its not as good as it seems. I've worked with similar bags of ambu brand, and doesnt fall apart the mask and bag as esasy as this does.

i'm a picture guy, won't be one anymore after this purchase. for some reason i was expecting the child and infant BVM's too. only reason why i chose this over others. -change the picture to only show adult so buyer is confident in what s/he is buying.

Splinter Out, 10/Pack, 2 Packs

We have these in our first aid kits at work and at home. These let you pry splinters out, rather than pulling or breaking them. They are easy to use; employees prefer them over tweezers claiming that these let you see what your digging out. Our teens use them for popping zits; they say that these are much more comfortable than a needle. I have used them to get wood & metal splinters out of our dog's paw with a gentle prying action.

I first found one of these in our industrial plant's medical kit. I had got a splinter helping out on the production floor. This product consists of a short flat thin piece of metal (aluminum?) with a very narrow sharp point at one end, sealed individually in sterile paper.

If you've tried to remove a splinter with tweezers, the wide ends can damage your nearby skin if you try too hard. This item is like a needle but much easier to hold. You can pick out the splinter then put some antiseptic on. You can also pop zits without damaging your skin around the puncture site so you can apply antiseptic for them to heal. Only if you have a very steady hand, you can use these scrape off styes on your eyelids before washing the eyes with saline solution or eye drops to remove the built up infected eye gland fluid that leaks out once you scrape off the stye.

These splinter removers come packaged individually in sterile paper. At home you can probably keep one for a while after opening if you immediately rinse off after use in very hot water and use some antiseptic on the pointy end so you don't transfer germs between uses, and store in your medicine cabinet. They can be expensive, up to $1.70 each. I found one place, BP med on amazon that sells 10 packs for $5 in a cute plastic box, and ships fast. THen you can keep one pack in your car, one at home.

After you've removed the splinter or popped your zit, Bactine (benzalkonium chloride) or Campho-phenique (camphor and phenol) seem to be the best antiseptics that seem to kill even antibiotic resistant bacteria. Ammonium iodide is reasonably good also, and iodine is an element your body needs. Wait a little while then put nu-skin (liquid polymer bandage, available widely) or benzoin tincture / compound (USP) (available widely at drug stores) on.

Bacteria that produce alot of fluid tend to leak thru nu-skin after a while so re-apply 8+ hours apart. They seem to be less able to breach the benzoin mono-layer on the skin but you do need to reapply on top of it for larger wounds till a solid layer is achieved without skin fluid leaking through. After healing you can use a stiff nail brush soaked under very hot water to softly scrub off the benzoin. The nu-skin will flake off by itself. If it grows deeply into a wound while healing may take longer, don't pull it off, is an integral part of your skin temporarily.

Both bandage products form a layer where your body can grow cells underneath to heal. The benzoin is an old remedy that is also slightly fragrant, and, while an awful dark brown color, will help heal hard to heal wounds, as bacteria have problems growing through or near it. Don't pull off too early or you may pull off healing skin.

If your skin is turning brown around the edges of a wound, it may be useful to use the square edge of the 'splinter out' metal strip or use sharp point to debride small parts of dead tissue down to a pink base so you can apply antiseptic, and bandages. The campho-phenique antiseptic will kill the bacteria in the dead brown edges around a skin wound and harden the wound so it heals well, an alternative to the liquid bandages or regular bandages.

If the wound is slightly larger, you can cover with a plastic bandage strip. Put a very thin layer of triple-antibiotic on the gauze pad so it breathes but will tend to kill bacteria and keep out dirt. Look for pink streaks away from the wound. If these show up, keep treating or get medical assistance, esp if wounds spread or degrade. If the area is raised slightly, may still be infected / inflamed, keep treating. Don't confuse the white color of new cell growth under the liquid bandage with white blood cells. If white blood cells keep treating with antiseptics but leave alone if healing with new cells.

When I was looking for some disposable syringes for 10 mL, I would either find them individually or in a pack of 100. I would have purchased about 20 or 30, not 100, but fewer wouldn't do. I like using these when administering meds to my toddler. I used to try to hide meds in her formula, apple sause, yogurt, or avocado, but she's completely onto me now. Daycare showed we a way to pin my 24 month old down on the floor and she is usually willing to swallow the meds, but the syringe needs to be used (don't call social services, after meds are administered my daughter sits up and goes on her merry way). I went on a trip and brought some childrens advil and allergy meds just in case we needed it. These syringes were great for when visiting family and friends and storing some pre-measured meds in the diaper bag "just in case." I wish they were individually wrapped syringes. I didn't have the caps with me on the trip, but I know to bring them next time, I'm sure the caps will come in handy. They have a plastic smell, assuming the smell doesn't leak into the meds. I should have enough syringes to last me several years of medince administration :-)

I'm a wildlife rehabilitator and my specialty is reptiles. Most of my patients tend to be turtles hit by cars, and are found with shell fractures. Xeroform worked well to heal my daughter's radiation burns on her skull. We used one at every dressing change along with telfa pads and then a tubular netting bandage. We also used glucan pro and silvadene. Her burns no longer needed the dressing after a few weeks. The only downside to this product is that it is yellow and the color transfers to pillows when she sleeps.

WOW what a DEVASTATION it was to use these strips is all i can say. I am 38, I first took this "FSH" test in January 2011. I got a very faint pink line which said I had "normal" FSH levels. So I thought I was okay. Well after 6 months TTC, we finally went into the doctor. After drawing blood, I found out my FSH was elevated! Apparently, most of these OTC FSH tests tell you that you are normal if you your FSH is under 25...when normal is under 10-12 according to most doctors. I even took this test on the same day they did the blood FSH; again, the OTC test indicated I was normal, even though my lab work came back as abnormal and I will need to undergo treatment. I feel deceived...I could have been getting treatment earlier had this test really given me a true indicator of FSH. Spare yourself the heartbreak and false sense of security and ask your doctor to do a blood FSH test on Day 3.

Do not buy or rely on this testyour result means nothing. I took this test 3 months ago and also received a "normal" reading. Well, I just recently had blood work done to test my ovarian reserve, and results came back with an AMH level of 0.55 ng/mL, indicating a very low ovarian reserve. Needless to say, I was shocked. (AMH is a newer test that, similiar to the FSH test, indicates your ovarian reserve or quantity and quality of your remaining egss.) Do not rely on this test to give you an accurate result; instead, go to your ob/gyn and ask him/her to test your FSH and AMH levels.

This test works, meaning it didn't come up invalid. I got a normal result with it.

HOWEVER, this test is worthless.

25mIU/ml sensitivity is way too high to determine if you have an issue! My doctor said anything over 10-12 mIU/ml is considered a problem. The sensitivity level needs to be lower (like 10mIU/ml) in order to detect a true problem. Women can take this test and think they're good to go...when really they could have a high FSH of 20, which makes them pretty much infertile. So they'll put off going to the doctor because they think they're normal. When really their levels are much too high, and they need to go to the doctor!

Also FSH alone means nothing in testing. You also need to get the estrodiol level because estrodiol can falsely lower your FSH level anyway. Basically, take this test at entertainment level, it actually tells you nothing about your hormone level. Go to the doctor to get real results!

I had bought a box of the First Response pregnancy tests and the "fertility" test was included as an added bonus. After I started menstruating, I took the test and got a faint line, which is supposed to mean that I'm "normal". In researching this product, I found that it really does NOT give you any indication of whether or not you will be able to conceive. You would have to go to your OBGYN to have labs drawn (blood work) to get a specific level of your FSH (the hormone this test tests for). I would not pay money to do this test again. If you find it as an added bonus in a box of pregnancy tests, though, what the heck... Try it out.

I purchased this product in March 2012 but had not planned to use it until June 2012, so the package was never opened until recently, i started by reading the instructions and it specifically indicated "do not use this product after the expiration date printed on the box", so i checked the box to be sure and to my surprise the product had expired a whole year earlier in FEB 2011.. so i can not complain about the product itself because i never got to use it, but i am shocked and disappointed by the seller responsible for sending out a product that is of absolutely no good use.. . if the issue is not resolved. . i will NOT be using Amazon very much longer, i can promise you that! who can afford to be ripped off ???
