They used this same tape in the hospital after my husbands surgery. So, we ordered this for changing bandages at home. I love that it comes with a cutting mechanism it's a pain to try to use a scissors to cut tape when you're trying to hold 4X4 gause pads in place (I need four hands!!!). This Instant Cold compress does get cool, I wouldn't call it 'cold.' They're bulky, heavy, and difficult to activate. Might be good for a first aid kit if there were no freezer or ice around, else a rag full of ice cubes would be preferable to messing with this.

This item is a plush Hello Kitty (head only) plus bow that is approximately three inches in height and four to five inches in width. I'm mentioning the dimensions, since it wasn't given when I first purchased it, and I was expecting this product to be larger. This ice pack is about the size of a medium-sized adult hand. This was surprisingly well-made with extra-plush material, very exact stitching, and the bow looked like the only part that could possibly be pulled off (ie, no small plastic parts that might be swallowed). The back is made out of a satin-type material, and the bottom of the head has a slit closed by velcro. Inside this pack is a round package of gel-like material (the gel was tea-colored), and the gel had the consistency of silicone. I didn't read the instructions very carefully, however, I think you are supposed to keep the gel pack inside the freezer, and then when ready to use, slip it into the outer covering and close the velcro opening.Pros:
Well-made, excellent materials, very soft/plush overall. All parts of this pack are soft and will not chafe the skin at all. Super cute addition to a Hello Kitty fan's collection.
Other than the bow, there are no parts that come off and might become a choking hazard.
I use this ice pack to cool my laptop computers... the plush material keeps any moisture away from the computer, and it is cold enough to safely cool the hot parts of the laptop. While I wouldn't recommend it for icing down a wound, it is neat to use in a different, "quirky" manner.
Cons:

This item is not meant for real medical care as the gel (regardless of how long you leave it in the freezer), never really gets cold enough. When the gel pack is inside the outer covering, the entire unit never gets cold enough for effective wound care.
I bought these two and put them in the freezer on one of the lower door containers so that she could reach them.
My daughter knows to come to me and tell me she's had a boo boo and depending on the type, I either reach for the Band-Aid Children's Adhesive Bandages, Assorted Sizes, Dora the Explorer 25 ea or I tell her to go to the fridge and ice it down with her hello kitty iced pack.
Also, when my daughter runs a fever, it's a ton easier to convince her to use a hello kitty ice pack than to put a bag of ice on her forehead.

not many, it's an ice packI do not have children, but bought this item because I have neck muscle stress issues. Its purrrfect! Its padded on one side and super cold on the other, I do not have to worry about ice water leaking all over me, and I can use it to isolate one spot on my sore muscles which is nice opposed to freezing half of my body with a big pack. The padding makes it easy to slip under my shirt and keep my shoulder iced without me having to hold it in place, I can even use it on my sore shoulders while working on the computer which is great. My husband steals them from the freezer and uses them too which says a lot I think considering he lifts heavy things all day-that and its funny considering how girly and pink these are. Great item, cute, and super durable thus far. Well worth the price I think.This ice back doesn't get cold enough and the plush stuffed portion is too big and gets in the way. Useless as an ice pack.It's cute but basically useless because it's simply not cold enough to be helpful at all. After weeks in the freezer it's BARELY cold at all.

I liked the design of the product, and always like to have my gear accessible instead of cluttering my pockets. When I received the pack I was pleased with the build of it(a little bigger than I thought though), constructed well seemed very durable. The belt clip on the back was very loose and made the pack very floppy, i attempted to take the clip off and use the loops but they were much to small for my 1 1/2" webbed belt, the glove holder was not good at all, 1 pair of gloves will be about all you can fit in the glove pocket, 2 pair is pushing it. It did a good job of holding my sharpie, pen light, shears, and knife on the outside, and the interior was good for holding a small pocket notepad though. I used the pouch for about 1/2 a shift before I was feed up with it.

I find it to be very appropiate size and weight. The feature of reaching your gloves without having to open the bag is really what made me buy it. Sometimes we have fluids in our hands and its just better if you dont have to contaminate pockets or bags just pull on the glove and there!You can also have penlight, gauze, pulse oximeter inside and all kinds of small stuff.
In my opinion. I like to travel light. All the big heavy stuff go in the jump bag. So its just perfect.

I bought this after I had a very bad fall on my bike. I skidded across some asphalt and ended up with a very large scraped up area from the center of my knee down abut 4 inches and a couple of inches wide along with other smaller wounds. It was fairly deep so I had to keep it covered. I tried the gauze and tape route but it kept coming off. I tried to use Nexcare Absolute Waterproof Premium Adhesive Pads but they were just to narrow. They were also a bit difficult to put on. The paper frame was hard to take off and I would end up folding it on itself. I had used something similar in the past and could not find anything at the locale Drug store.Being a Prime member I started looking on Amazon and found these. They are very expensive. I really needed something to keep this cut clean. I ordered these and they came in less than 2 days from the order date. These did the trick. I thought I would have to change them every other day. They stayed on and kept the wound sealed much longer than I anticipated. I had no infection or irritation while using these. It took over a month for the cut to heal enough to not worry about it. I ended up using less than half the box.
Pros: One of the best benefits from a purely vain point was the minimizing of scaring. I can wear a skirt or shorts and I don't have a huge reddish purple thing on my leg.
They moved with my knee bending and didn't pull. I could ride my bike with them with no problem.
They kept the area sealed from dirt. Water from the bath, shower or light swimming never leaked in.
I thought the pain was minimized while I wore these and I never had a huge itchy scab I was tempted to scratch day or night.
I have been able to use them for other cuts. I have to cut them down for smaller cuts.
The expiration date was over 2 years from when I bought them.
Cons: They are very thin so it takes a bit of practice to use them.
Very expensive. I should have bought a smaller box.

All I have to do is scrape some skin off and it will get infected fast. This product is great. You cover your booboo with this "fake skin" and let it heal. If the wound puts out fluid, take off the skin, wash it off and put on another skin bandage. I get the large ones and just cut off what I need. It can be tricky to get the backing off this way so be sure to include the backing flap in your bandage. Great for burns too, no scars. They keep my wife's Fentanyl patches on great, but after changing the patches every 3 days, the area around the dressing gets very, very sore. It sticks so well that it really hurts coming off. I use an adhesive cleaner wipe to help loosen it, but that only marginally helps.
