Was concerned that since it wasn't a name brand (and you know who I'm talking about) that they would be of a poorer quality. Was very surprised. The fabric seemed a little lighter than the name brand but was still flexible and held up to wear. The adhesive sticks! The name brand wants to come off in the shower probably designed that way for ease of removal and putting on a fresh bandage. These seem to have one of the older adhesive formulations that leaves a little sticky residue behind when removed but don't come off just because they get wet. So the trade-off is that you have to wash when you remove the bandage, but if you use them on your hands you don't have to put a new bandage on every time you wash your hands.You get a pretty good fabric bandage at a price closer to the name brand's plastic strip bandages.

I got these in preparation for my ankle surgery and thank God I did. I used them to cover up the large splint/bandage and my toes post-op and now I wear them over the hard cast. It's especially important over the cast even though it's a smooth fiberglass it gets caught on the furniture and bedding so covering with the sock eliminates that problem and keeps my toes nice and warm as well. It fits perfectly to the top of it (my cast ends a few inches below my knee). I am also using a Cast Cozy for extra warmth when I go outside or when my toes are really cold inside. Both are really needed IMO. Definitely get the XL for covering any cast or bulky bandage. That's what I have and it fits fine but I don't think a smaller size would work. They are also holding up well after 3 weeks of use and washing no holes to be found (and I take it on and off at least 2x daily to check the swelling in my toes).

The package came ahead of schedule and in a nick of time because it started to get really cold, snowy with freezing rain and these socks came in handy to keep my toes warm and dry over my CAST. I plan on buying more because it is really nasty weather up here in New England and I have to wash them often. I ordered the largest size of the sock but my cast is too big for it to completely go over the entire thing. However, it does cover my toes and keeps them warm. Most bandages and bandaids irritate my skin. When needing a bandage for a large scrape, this is the brand I go to. Others leave red marks and irritated skin, like a burn, making it difficult to apply fresh bandages. These do not. The adhesive is just on two sides and not all four, allowing for more natural healing.
With these Curad non-stick pads there are no worries about adhering to the wound they are specially coated (latex free!) to avoid sticking. And the adhesive edges mean no additional tape stuck to her skin and leaving red places. They are absorbent and just the right size to cover stitches, although they come in larger sizes for those who need them.
I bought this 3-pack using Subscribe-and-Save, which brought the price of each bandage down to 20 cents a good price! And they were shipped to my door free, so I didn't have the leave the patient alone and drive to a drug store to buy them.

I'm a quadriplegic and get minor skin abrasions from time to time. These pads with the Adhesive Tabs work perfectly to cover the wound and protect the my skin. My local WalMart used to carry them but stopped and now the only place I can find them is on Amazon. This is a great size for almost everything. From skinned knees to stitches. I always try to keep this size stocked up in our first aid kit; nobody wants to run to the drug store at the last minute.

These Gauze Pads are Horrible. There is nothing to them. Buying them is a total waste of money. I would rate these a zero or minus if that was an option.

it's *cheap* ...but i use them mostly as a liner for my mask
(so i may not need to wash the mask so often)
and i was looking for something cheaper
(and a little thinner's okay).
it says 8 ply but it feels like 3-4 ply ...
and the fabric is rather coarse,
feels like a summer sweater ...
i guess it's okay to use them
but i don't know if i want to buy it again.Doe to a certain physical problems with skin rash I use a lot of these are little on the thin sides but the price is inline with the quality both low so a fair purchase

Kerlix Gauze rolls have to be the gold standard. They just work better than standard gauze, and the crinkles give the wrapping a bit of flex, so the bandage is less likely to get too tight if there is a little swelling

If like many you are stocking a Bug Out Bag, don't forget first aid. These type of bandages may prove VERY useful to bind a wound etc. until better care is available.
Women's Edition Kit
I ordered this for my daughter, see liked it a lot, particularly the many compartments and organization. Has pretty much everything you would need. The thermometer is a very cheap one-use type and I would recommend augmenting the kit with a better one.
