I've always used Doan's Extra Strength (or an off brand version of it). My favorite has been Dollar General's version, which has 48 pills (24 doses) for $3.50 (which is twice as many for half the price of Doan's!), but it looks like they stopped carrying it so I've been looking for something new.I ordered this primarily because of the price, but I didn't look closely at the ingredients. There are two main formulations of muscle relaxers with magnesium salicylate. Doan's Extra Strength has 580 mg in each pill. This has 290 mg of magnesium salicylate, 250 mg of acetaminophen (Tylenol), and some caffeine.
After a few days of using it, it seemed like it never really helped for long. That's when I looked closer and noticed the ingredients, and that you were supposed to take 2 every 6 hours (instead of every 12 hours like Doan's).
Once I doubled the frequency, it did fine, but I don't particularly care for the smaller dose or the "bundling" with other medicines. I prefer to choose when and if I need something extra, and Tylenol isn't my pain killer of choice.
These work as well as the other brand that I was buying, and for half the price.
