Bacitracin First aid Antibiotic Ointment, USP - 1 Oz

Bacitracin has become a staple in my medicine cabinet. I use it on minor cuts and burns.

I first learned about this product from my dermatologist who cut a basal cell off my chin. He immediately applied Bacitracin to the area and suggested I use it for the next few days. The cut healed without a trace and faster than I expected.

As stated on the tube: "First aid antibiotic to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes and burns. May be covered with a sterile bandage. Manufactured for Dynarex Corporation, Orangeburg, New York. Product of India."

When I was young, if I had a comparatively minor cut or scratch my parents would practically have to hold me still to apply a little bit of iodine to the affected area. Wow, how that hurt! In contrast, Bacitracin doesn't hurt; it is a fine antibiotic ointment for minor cuts and scratches that is easy to apply and this can even be covered with a bandage if the situation warrants it. Bacitracin can also help prevent skin burns.

Bacitracin does the job well. Use it before the expiration date on the package; if the expiration date has passed replace the tube with a fresher one.

I highly recommend this product. It is infinitely preferable to the old iodine I used to be stuck suffering with when I had a minor cut or a scratch that worried my parents.

Great to have in an emergency kit as well as neosporin. I've used this product for my Angular cheilitis along with lamisil. This was what the doctor recommended and it did clear it up. It has a bitter taste to it so you know it's near your mouth when I put this product on.

Other than that, I wouldn't know if it is better then neosporin but these two products helped me.
