I always keep Meclizine tablets in our medicine cabinet, mainly to combat nausea and vomiting with food poisoning or the flu. It helps to settle the stomach and calm the dizziness, and it's safe to take as directed. These are the same drug as Antivert, which is used for vertigo and tinnitus. It also works better than the drug in Dramamine.

I like that these are individually packaged in adult doses (2 pills per pack) because it makes it easy to tuck a few packets in my purse, the car medical kit, my husband's travel kit, and in our 72-hour bags. We probably won't ever use the entire 100 pills before they are expired, but at 10 cents per pill (20 cents per dose) they're an inexpensive investment that we'll be glad we have with all the flu that's been going around.

Meclizine can cause drowsiness, so be careful driving after taking it. But that same drowsy effect is great when someone is vomiting and needs to rest.

This product seems to work just as well as the name brand products, but it comes two to an individual packet. One is enough for our use but having it in a two pill per pack is a bit of a nuisance.
